This is a must read. Not difficult to mtl and also the MC is perfectly relatable. He is an average person. In his original life, he dropped out of junior high and became a mason. Even if he goes through all these worlds, he doesnt become an OP host which makes for boring reading. Watching this regular joe world hop is fun. The system is also cute. I like that he doesnt have a lover that he follows through the worlds-which has become a cliche in fast wear. This is... more>> a delightful read of a completely ordinary, slightly miserish, very human MC and his cutely innocent, robotic system.

We dont get some info until the last arc and that is he had been to so many worlds that he could hardly remember his original life. He is given two options and that is to either return to the original life and lose all points and system or upgrade our kewt 001 and enter the main city of the system (this is how it reads in mtl) and he picks 2.

I loved this MC because he was faithful to his in-mission wives... no harem creation and what not. <<less

my impression of this novel till now that is well written and thoughtful unlike the usual Chinese wn

p.s.

I only have one comment for the author, it's not wrong for people to enjoy the fruit of their hard work with their family. Doing charity and good deeds is praiseworthy but if someone were to have millions or billions but spend all their money on charity while the family live in an old house and even criticize his son when buying one luxurious car, this is a foolish and hypocritical behavior. People... more>> should treat themselves and the people around them better first before trying to be nice to strangers <<less

I can't say this is a perfect story, but I do enjoy it! No overarching romance, no excessive system interference, no brain-dead plots with highly unrealistic villains... I mean, it's pretty refreshing honestly. I also find MC's narration funny, so that's a bonus. He does this ironic self-aggrandizing schtick that no one actually takes seriously: not the reader, not the author, not the system, and (hilariously) not even himself.

The tl is using MTL, but it's really not the worst I've seen. Still readable, the grammar errors are on the level... more>> of an average American university student. So. Like I said, readable--I felt like the editing even improved later?

Anyway, wanted to address some of the claims I've seen in the reviews about Chinese nationalism "slathered" over the story. I almost didn't want to read the story after seeing that review? I think it's pretty rare for people to like being "slathered" with propaganda. HOWEVER. I read to the most recent chapter (97) and I could only find two instances of this????? Someone can tell me if I've missed anything, but I only caught these:

Ch 47

Spoiler

"Jiang Liu, who was also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) believed that Jiang Furong's works have a great significance to China's modernisation and thus could bring great importance to the country's transformation move in the future."

Context: He's saying that equality for women is an important part of China's modernization. Which I suppose it is, as according to communist ideals, men and women should be equal comrades (though this doesn't play out in reality, unfortunately). The world for this is an ancient world in which women are largely second class citizens. Also, based on the tone, I think this is actually a joke the author is making, since MC doesn't show any signs of caring very much about communist values beyond how it benefits him and his mission.

[collapse]

Ch 67

Spoiler

"'Capitalism is evil!'

After entering the elevator, Jiang Liu thought about $20 tip that he had just given out. Even though it felt a bit painful, but he also inexplicably felt cool about it. He had not come into this body for a long time, yet his beautiful character was about to be corrupted by money."

.... Once again, I think it's a joke. Does anyone truly think modern China isn't capitalist? Or at least capitalist-leaning? The country has been moving in that direction since the 70s-80s. MC is literally playing as the son of an extremely rich Chinese businessman.

It's definitely good. The writing flows well and the plots are unique...

But...

Is it just me or is there a thick slather of communist ideals here?

... more>> Also the MC tends to angelicize himself... Maybe the system is not wrong... And he did feel happy eating the expensive food and he... Is trying to show off.. I have a feeling that his haughtiness in this world will be slapped out of him because of someone's suffering.

I can't read anymore. I like it but... It's so much propaganda and I read fiction to escape the real world. It's a little manipulative of the author to have such a nationalistic MC that is portrayed through a peach colored lens. He literally mentions how much he hates capitalism and rich people.....

Like I can see where he's coming from but he's acting like there's no good rich people or that he's superior to them because he worked harder than them... <<less

It's good read, there is some point of ideology Communism, but seriously? It's Chinese novel so it's normal if the book have Chinese propaganda

But for those who could bear it and want change a pace of mainstream reincarnation novel I think you'll find this book enjoyable

Just be careful around chapter 55 to 66, it's contain sensitive topic

Spoiler

this arc carries out story about pe*ophiles, child abuse, victim shaming and revenge, and very similar with korean NTH room case, so if you found it disturbing skip this arc

2nd arc finished, must say it very good SUPER satisfying to read. Male MC that's straight (shocking lol) and does hold high ambitions like most transmigrators in similar situations. Faceslapping is still great tho, using the living well is the best revenge scene is so nice to read.

essentially MC has to earn the goodwill points of his parents. At first I thought he would end up in like, the body of a sh*t son but to my surprise in the first arc it was the opposite. He was in the... more>> body of a really filial son with two parents you really want to slap in the face! He will also get bonus goodwill points when he 'spreads love' and earns the gratitude of other people. Anyway I won't spoil but the process is good, it feels down to earth and realistic, and definitely very sweet. Seriously it's very enjoyable to read. The second arc is more in line with my original assumption, a waste with poor parents and a son- this time it's less about getting good will and doing actual missions? I'm a bit meh at how the system is meant to be but essentially it's just improving family and doing good deeds so it was still very wholesome no matter what.

The third arc I had a sneak peek at and seems to be ancient China arc with MC as a baby this time! Unfortunately it's not done so I won't read it yet but super excited! MC in the first world had a wife there who wasn't treated good. Their relationship is also very sweet as he does his best to take care of her as well. In the second world he focused more on his parents and son so I suppose there's no strong romance subplot which I'm SUPER happy about honestly ??? <<less

Seriously worth reading.

We have a relatable MC who doesn't get OP, but he gets the job done.

Basically the MC world hops around in different bodies with a system and his goal is getting specific people's affection/happyness/WhateverTheSystemRateIs. The novel is written in sort episodes/arks, no boring chapters with the plot going nowhere. Each episode is a different world. One thing I particularly liked is the fact that he doesn't aim to be the best in the wolrd like you see in other novels, he knows his limits and the fact that... more>> he is loyal, no harem so far.

I can't wait for more. <<less

It was a good read.

The novel is a light one, not much conflict/drama. MC basically sailed thru all of the mission and there is not much tension in each arch.

Suitable for readers who just want to relax when reading a novel.

This is really good! The arcs are short at first, but as it progresses, the arcs become longer. While most arcs are only up to 4 stars, there are really some that stood out which directly promotes this novel to 5 stars. These are arcs 4 and 6 - they are so well-written and tackles hard-to-swallow facts. I applaud the author for being able to write those two arcs in the most appropriate way.
Spoiler

Arc 4 tackles pedophilia, child abuse, and victim blaming. Arc 6 tackles self-righteousness, ego-feeding, and poverty. Arc 6 especially reminds me of Pedagogy of the Opressed by Paulo Freire. If you have time, I highly recommend reading chapters 1 and 2 of this book.

[collapse]

Another thing that gives this novel a 5-star rating is the MC's character. He is not one-dimensional at all. He has a depth that is slowly being explored as the story goes on. He is the best father and he is street smart. He is rational, clever, and still full of warmth. Of course you cannot exclude the pain and experience he has undergone which made his character more whole.

Don't be fooled by the romance genre though. Although there are arcs where he has a wife and he is a capable husband, he does not have nostalgia towards them. In fact, none of the arcs so far have explored the romance between husband and wife/boyfriend and girlfriend. It's just there, but not really the focus. There are two arcs which I think is not up to par though: the ghost arc and the doomsday arc. I don't know if it's because of personal preference or author is just not that good at supernatural stories.

Could have been a good story but it is MTL edited by a guy/girl who kinda sucks at English. Incorrect grammar, broken/awkward sentence structure, and words that do not exist are everywhere. Lost brain cells trying to read the first few chapters.

If you are not bothered by terrible grammar and word flow, you may be able to read this. For those who value brain cells, stay away.

the MC is seriously a breath of fresh air in these fast wear stories - he is just a normal dude with normal IQ so his scope of activities are not too grandiose. I also love that his mission are all different for every world, so the strategies are also different. In addition, his closest person is not necessarily a wife/gf they could be his mom or his son or others. So there are no OTP that follow him from world to world. The translation also flow very smoothly, translator... more>> said they are doing MTL, however their grasp of English is very good they could make the story look like an original English language novel. <<less

I've only read 4 arcs, but I feel the need to leave a review now that I'm feeling emotional. This is good, wow. I actually didn't hold any expectations for this novel, I just wanted to kill some time with a seemingly decent read. The first arc imo wasn't as interesting but the system's mission was very refreshing and I loved to finally see some repentance and forgiveness (or at least putting old grudges behind) in a novel. The arcs have kept getting better and better. Not all arcs have... more>> comedy, not all of them have romance, etc. Honestly they somewhat feel like individual stories. The arcs are also short yet beautiful. I have no complaints about them, but I have lots to say about every arc (positive rants). In short, imo this is among few CN LN that make me go, "ah, the author does have empathy", I just love the missions and the way the MC carries them out. It's hard to find MCs I genuinely like, this one is pretty good actually, I love to see people make the world a better place.

The 4th arc could be triggering to some, after all there were p*dos. Honestly when I started it I was disgusted and I thought it would ruin this novel, but I was wrong. I always hate r*pe in novels since authors tend to use it as revenge on bad people or to add some backstory to characters. Not here though, d*mn, this was well done. I cried a lot, well done! A story where a real world problem is confronted, where the justice system is discussed, and where people's wrong behavior against victims is also criticized.

Also, the author has the tendency of ending the arcs by showing the reactions or their impact on the future generations. <<less

I dunno about the communist ideals the other reviewer is talking about. I usually tend to focus more on the story rather than the characters mindset.

Story wise, the arcs are pretty goddamn interesting. They're unique in CN that is filled with so many QT cliched arcs, it's satisfying.

I don't care if the character is communist or sees himself as an angel, because each arc was satisfying to read. Justice served is one of my fav tropes.

The best arc in my honest opinion was when he beat the sh*t of that f*cking pedo! I was so happy I cried.

Diamond in the rough!!!

This for someone who is tired about childish MC. The MC mature and quiet manipulative, he have real personality and learning constantly.

The translation for the first few chapters might be subpar, but the translator keep improving their work and it keep getting better

Different from the usual transmigration stories in that romance is not the focus and MC doesn't go each lifetime living for his other half but there is still plenty of loveable fluff. The story is good it's slice of life but not really slow with hella drawn out descriptions. The characters are fleshed out well, likable characters are lovely/cute while the unlikeable characters are (so far) realistically unlikeable (not outrageously so to the point revenge is a strong theme). The MC doesn't struggle with his missions but is not OP... more>> so that aspect along with his quirky/mischevious/shameless personality make the story enjoyable. The MC goes to each world and transforms himself, in whatever role he's given, to a good man.

Was gonna do a spoiler but really just read probably won't dislike it.?‍♀️ <<less

The translator claimed the novel was translated from MTL. Well I don’t believe it one but coz the translation is too smooth. Great job. I attempted to read some MTL novels but always ended up giving up due to loss of brain cells. Thank you for your beautiful work.

as for the novel itself, I really enjoy it. It’s not always revenge and face slapping. Some arcs are quite mellow and relaxing. Overall a good read.

This kind of Quick Transmigration is very interesting to read.

It doesn't dwell much about romantic relationship which is refreshing.

Also, MC is very reliable and likeable character. He does things in accordance on how the story flow in it's original timeline and uses his knowledge and cheats to complete his task.

And the other characters were also life-like. They doesn't have the aura of a cannon fodder who can only do bad silly things to highlights the Protagonist charisma then disappeared instead they were influenced by the protagonist, realize thier shortcoming and... more>> reform to be a better person...

I really look forward for the completed translation of this novel.

Lastly, I wish to see him settle down for real without the system shackles as it's happy ending.......

... enjoy😊!! <<less

This novel is great I absolutly recommend it

The MC is not superpowered it's just a normal guy who died at work but now he getts transmigrated in the bodies of differnet guys with a certain goal.

I love that the system mostly don't just get involved with the every move of the MC like in other novels.
