I enjoyed reading this novel. It was funny, heartwarming and cute at the same time.

Overall I like the pace and storyline. Wud definitely recommend u to read it.

What I like : Their banters are really cute. FL when she's drunk. Stories involving ML's mother. The little advices n warm scenes/talk between lovers/friends. Very slice of life. Sometimes the author conveyed my feelings exactly

What annoys me : FL's family. But thats how it is also in real life. It made me sad. Towards the end, I dont like how ML... more>> is potrayed to be someone that 'save' her each time. Like she is too foolish to handle things herself.

Short and sweet, perfect for binging when you need a break from some of the 1000+ chapter drama-filled CN. The characters were pretty funny; their relationship was definitely not typical, but had some very interesting tidbits that were realistic.

What an absolute gem. I loved reading their story and it was such a delightful experience. I liked how they developed their relationship with each other, the way they grew as people and learned how to get along with the other party’s personality. I actually like the FL and how honest she is. The ML was cute too and didn’t have any exaggerated traits

this was seriously fun. The FL is s*upidly funny with her antics, and combined with the ML both of them are just the perfect comedic duo. The plot itself flows well and their relationship is cute yet realistic. I liked how the FL actually pursued ML but also knows her own boundaries, and ML has his pov which explains some misunderstandings they had in the beginning. Some parts I felt slightly uncomfortable reading was how her parents were. Regardless, they seem like ur typical cnovel parents so that's that. The side characters have a fair share of their part in the story, which ties in together without being overbearing. I really enjoyed this novel. Its already been a year since I read this novel but came back to give my full star review 😁. Till date it still remains in my top 10 favorite C-Novels.

I honestly, truly hate her mom. She's an old toxic butch. I fcking hate her. I would rather be an orphan than having someone like her as my mom. All she did was put the FL down, and make things hard for her! I'm glad the FL is living apart from her mom!

Overall I give this 4/5. I like the comedic tone this novel has. The FL is not perfect at all, but she has strength

Ive read this novel like 3 or 4 times already.

The story is sooo humorous and I like how they portray FL tbh so silly and doesnt always understand what people say. Shes always focusing on something else. Not innocent but not smart also, just a regular type of woman you can see everyday.

ML in the beginning was actually a jerk. Egoistic, he doesn't know what he wants, hes flying kite with FL feelings if you know what I mean.

FL initially pursues doctor ML for very logical reasons (good family condition, nice person) but after some misunderstanding and mistakes, she stopped. Things happens, they ended up as friends, then ML falls for her instead. FL is very practical but silly, not very smart and often end up in awkward situations or misunderstandings, yet is witty in odd senses. ML is a little shameless, self-confident but not proud. The few extras on his POV also make him somewhat endearing especially due to his confusion from FL doing weird things. Although FL usually get outwitted by ML, occasionally, FL funny and weird mind-thread will make ML so dumbfounded that he couldn't make any comeback. They balance each other out, and it was pretty cute overall. FL has typical Chinese asian family issues where they emphasize on marrying early, have kids, parents choosing your boyfriend based on their family condition etc etc. Author handles it well too, and it didn't become a dogblood, over-dramatic situation.

Overall, not overall special, but it was funny, a little witty novel about understanding, balance and love in a relationship. <<less

I liked this novel a lot! This novel felt more real to me in how the relationship progresses, as not many actually know what exactly they are feeling and need time to develop themselves and their thought process before continuing. Both MC's grow and develop into themselves as the story progresses, sometimes they might quickly progress and sometimes they might regress, but isn't this progression more realistic?

I love reading how the relationship between Meng Gu & Chen Ruo Yu grows and gets stronger throughout the novel. They're solid as a couple ~ they weather any misunderstandings or dramas quickly and efficiently due to their love & care for each other. 💖💖

Definitely one of the better novels on NU. Characters are very relatable especially for people brought up in Asia. I think westerners will find it hard to relate especially the parts were MC is constantly criticized and demeaned. However, I can tell you as a female brought up in Asia in the 70s and 80s, this was how my parents and to some extent, extended families behaved. The banter between the 2 MCs are hilarious and very entertaining.

What a very enjoyable read! As a sucker for romance novels with comedic undertones, I found this book to be an interesting one and I never felt bored reading it to the end. I find it cute that despite their character flaws, these enabled them to have such amusing relationship dynamics.

There were also subplots in the novel that I think were pretty realistic and the way they were handled were also realistic so it didn't feel as if I was reading some poorly written Mary Sue novel.

Okay. I just really...I just really loved this one.

I'm a big romance junkie. One can say that I'm a big hopeless romantic and all throughout my life from adolescence I have read LOTS of romance stuff. This one is probably not the best one, but it's one that I was highly obsessed with while I was reading it. Literally, I couldn't wait to lie in bed and enjoy the two protagonists' banter.

The story is full of charm and haughtiness. I just love how the FL didn't chase the ML because she knows her worth. In the end, it was the ML who realized how amazing our FL is and started pursuing her!

After reading this novel, I craved for reading something with the same atmosphere and banter as this book had, but sadly none so far has come to me : (The book leaves you wanting more, and I just ughhhh I LOVE HOW

In the beginning, I feel this story is quite funny. I enjoy MC and ML's bickering like a young couple. But when things become more serious, they keep going circle or back and forth and it's getting more tiring. Thankfully, it doesn't last long.

Slowly, I could see their growth to be a better person for each other. ML begins to reduce his temper much and MC also begins to be a more confident woman who can stand proudly beside him despite their differences. The ending is also very satisfying.

But I... more>> still don't like MC's family. I can see that they don't change at all till the end. So because of that, I can't give a full star for the story (good job for translators though). <<less

I've always been bypassing but gave it a try after some time since I'm an angst with HE fun tho I tend to lean a little to commedy.

At first I hated the ML the way he was obvious to FL feelings but after reading his pov, I suddenly understand him with alot of peach blomossoms I too would fail to pick.
