Lariette is diagnosed with a disease which gives her a three-month deadline.

“Since I am going to die, I might as well go crazy!”

It started with screwing her fiancé and having a relationship with the monster Duke.

But she didn’t realize it until it was too late. There was no time limit and it was a misdiagnosis!

Asrazan smiled brightly, “If you try to run away now, you will face consequences.”

Obedient and well-mannered FL goes through immense character growth to become strong and independent.

The plot is funny and refreshing. Plus, the male lead is very attractive.

At the very end, FL becomes strong enough to fight back against the forces that kept her meek.

Hello, This is my first review and english is not my first language... so I will try to do my best!!

Well first, this novel quickly explains what is happening to FL and I like that she values herself and chooses to stop being abused instead of begging for love.

The MC is funny when he doesn't understand what the FL is saying or doing and that part is so cute, I really like them as a couple. (MC touches my heart because he wants to be loved too! That's so sad... more>> but adorable at the same time)

And this novel is quite refreshing because I am a little tired of korean novels where one of the main characters is reborn (I like them but I'm a little tired and that's it)

I really want and hope someone will translate this beautiful novel!! (i always look if there is a new upload but not yet, my heart breaks)

Please support this novel!!!!!! <<less

The first 90 or so chapters are the excruciatingly irritating story of a don't-know-if-she's-dumb-or-a-white-lotus MC stringing along one guy while dating another, even though she should absolutely know better.

For comparison, there's a female character called Sheria that does the exact same things as the 2nd male lead, but unlike the MC, the ML immediately makes things clear with her. He doesn't go around accepting gifts from other women under the guise of being "friends" even when those gifts are exorbitant and inappropriate. Even if the 2nd male lead actually was... more>> trying to be a genuine friend to our MC Lariette, large amounts of jewels and jewelry are not acceptable gifts. Let alone that his attitude toward her is clearly ambiguous. Lariette is someone with dating experience who isn't naive around men, so it's hard to interpret her attitude towards him in a positive light.

Spoiler

It takes the 2nd male lead confessing that he tried to kill her boyfriend, the real male lead, before she finally stops playing house with him. That doesn't excuse the MC's previous behavior, but at least she has literally any bottom line at all, I guess?

[collapse]

Even worse, once the 2nd male lead is finally no longer a concern, not even a full chapter passes by until a 3rd male lead steps up for his turn. This is driving me crazy. The original premise had promise, but it got buried by the half-baked harem.

I absolutely despise these pseudo-harem stories where the female main characters treat men like spare tires and refuse to draw appropriate boundaries. 1/5. <<less

If you like shoujo manhwas/mangas, you may like this series. The artwork on the illustrations are certainly very beautiful.

The plot revolves around the FL getting notified that she only has 3 months to live due to a magic issue in her body. So she throws off her standard way of living and tries to do all the things she's wanted but could never do because of her status, family, and etc. One of her bucket list items is to date a handsome guy. She's a "Face-con" and immediately falls in... more>> love with the ML who has a corpse curse that makes his skin all over his body (except his face) rot and smell. Through some machinations she gets a contract to date him for 3 months while she tries to cure him.

The premise is fine and is as cookie cutter as it goes. However, I had a bit of trouble with the scumbag-like behavior of many of the characters.

Spoiler

Scum #1: FL knows that ML has never dated and has body shame like feelings. Yet she pursues him romantically, not thinking of the consequences of leaving him if she dies. Not to mention, she's so dense that she allows her "friend" to mol*st her with skin-ship and s*xual innuendos without any suspicion. Although, the FL says she didn't get out much from her Cinderella like home, she still had several "lovers/boyfriends" in the past.

Scum #2: Second male lead, almost Pope, & high priest. As a high priest and the FL's "friend" he has all sorts of ulterior motives. Just his mol*stations and innuendos under the flag of "friendship" is revolting around as a high priest or even as a "friend" who knows she already has a lover.

Scum #3: FL's brother. He's unreasonably savage in his constant abuse to the FL. Punching her so hard in the face in a public location, so hard that her cheek bone breaks. He's the stereotypical villain that has no redeeming qualities whatsoever.

Scum #4: FL's father. Another stereotypical villain that epitomizes dumb villains. His family line is known for their magical prowess. However, because his weak magically inclined son is jealous of his sister's powers. He allows all sorts of abuses to her and agrees to stop any magical training so she can never get any stronger. Afterall, she's a girl and will marry out. You'd think since his Duchy is known for magical powers, he'd exploit her powers. But instead, he caters to his philandering debt ridden son even more so.

Scum #5: FL's mother. She never gives any support and agrees with all treatment in enslaving the FL in doing any financial duties for the Duchy and to selling the FL to the highest bidder.

There are other miscellaneous scum characters as well. Then of course, there are also the FL's typical heroine halo in attracting good looking people to fall in love with her.

[collapse]

As for the ML, he feels like he's bi-polar with his extreme behaviors. The author keeps detailing on how he's a super killer on the battlefield. But his treatment towards the FL is both like a shy little girl or a seductive rogue. His personality is too extreme.

To be honest, there are only 2 characters I liked thus far. The ML's butler and an imperial princess that goes around acting and dressing like a gentleman.

The translations are ok, but there's some confusing verbiage here and there which makes it seem like you're reading the simplistic phrases from the manhwa. In addition, the noble titles are strange. There are 3 Duchy's in the kingdom. 3 Dukes. Yet, the translator calls the Duke's children as "prince" & "princess". If the children don't have assigned noble titles, then at least generically, they should be referenced as "Lord" & "Lady".

If you like this type of genre, you may like this series. It just wasn't my cup of tea because I had issues with everyone's scumbag like behavior. In addition, the comedy felt a bit flat to me, and romance was on the juvenile side. The main CP do get together, but there's no detailed smut scenes. <<less

This novel is fun!

Cliche, but I still love the story. And the characters. Had a bit of emotional up and downs reading this bc the FL thought she was dying, but her straightfoward-ness and shamelessness are funny and lovely. It was fun to read. Totally recommended!

Can't wait for the next updates. Anyway, thanks to the author and the translation team~

edit: its 30 Jan 2024 now, the day I finally completed this novel. Loved the story and characters so much that I got a mixed feelings inside of me now that this novel had come to an end ;_; Still, I love it till the end tho. 5/5~ <<less

Honestly, I read this novel mainly because of its manhwa adaptation. The manhwa art is just so gorgeous and captivating that it led me to read the whole story Lol!. I really didn't expect anything from the story but I unexpectedly got hooked by it just after reading a few chapters!

If you are a person with average intelligence. You will know that this novel is a piece of Korean shit. The FL runs away from a hero who did everything for her and runs away with a friend (according to her s*upid brain). Every chapter I read, I feel more s*upid, and the worst thing is that the ML, even though he is his lover, ran away with another male. He wasn't even bothered 🤣 Korean bullsh*t I hate him so much

Although the story is ridiculous I'd re-read this because of the worrywart ML. Seriously, he saves this story. If it wasn't for the long and unnecessary separation arc and the non-existent common sense this novel would be a 5. It did a great job torturing the FL... Which is the kind of drama I like.
I don't have many complaints because I read these novels for cliches so this one did a great job at that.
2 for story 4 for satisfaction, overall:3, 5
That's it.

Absolutely a joy to read. Translations are excellent, storyline is refreshing and sweet. There is also a manhwa for this so if you want more visuals look for that. I am super excited to read more
