When he came to his senses, Hirasawa Kazuki, a normal university student, found himself in possession of the body of a game’s character.

Moreover, it was Harold Stokes, the story’s most hated character who was even given the title 『King of Tr*sh』by the players. Myriads of landmines were just waiting for him to step on them!

Will Harold be able to clear the survival route while avoiding the countless death flags in his way?!

I was surprised when I began reading this. I thought it would just be another fantasy setting with the main feature of rom-com and harem. But it was nice to find a gem here, this writer certainly should be praised for their hard work. It is well thought out and very good. Although the plot is cliche and rather simple, it makes a good foundation for this roller-coaster of intrigue. The main character has faults, obstacles he must overcome, and weaknesses. But despite this he is strong, he is op... more>> but not in a tiresome way. The translators also take great care to do the writer justice and give attention to the details, such as the flow of the story and grammar. Definitely a great read, I'd recommend this anyone.

The main character's bad mouth is actually kinda funny to me, partly because what Japanese people think rude speech to be is really, actually pretty lenient, but also he can't ever get across what he really means creating some funny misunderstandings and situations. While this is somewhat frustrating (when you're sympathizing with him) but it makes the main character go through hardship that his otherwise cheat existence wouldn't allow, giving him depth. <<less

The idea of tsundere is refreshing. (Well combination of the two personality) The protagonist is initially cold and even hostile towards heroine because he needs to follow how the game proceeds in the original story, but gradually showing a warmer side over time. The only time thing I don't like is that the author time skips quite often, and there could be much more to write about what happened during those times.

A masterpiece among masterpiece.

Best novel I have ever read in my life, I have read almost all of highest level ratings novels but I will still point out this novel as my best and favorite.

It's perfect-like-series and naturally deserves 5 star rating except from smartass-wannabes who still gonna bring some trivial non-existent nonsense and rate it lower since this masterpiece may not match there taste

Grammar: 4.7/5
Story: 4.5/5
Writing: 4.5/5

Fairly well written and translated. A few instances of awkward phrasing and wording, but nothing that detracts from the story itself. Over all very enjoyable, and an unexpectedly wonderful read.

Wow, the review section got its new face. hihi so exciting!... ehemm, I must be doing a review now. Hehe oh well, the story is applause worthy. I like how the plot is being written and the characters are nicely developed. But of course, I like Harold-kn the most! All in all, it is a good read. Thumbs up to the author and the translator! :)

It is not as great as the ratings depict this series, but it is still an enjoyable novel. The MC takes over the body of the of a game's main villain, but tries to find ways to prevent his death and help people while playing the villain.

Really cool novel, I really love how there aren't any bullsh*t overload of statuses and skills. Our M.C does have a good start, and may seem op, but it doesn't detract from the story. Its such a breath of fresh air from the usual "I reincarnated as a hero, have a super cheat power, instantly get a harem and decimate enemies" bullshit, so props to the author. Recommend strongly!

The best MC so far that I can think of. The twists in the plot are very interesting, and you will crave for more once you start to read it.

Although I sometimes can’t relate with the MC’s weird line of thought, he still gets points for being really interesting! The are misunderstanding and so far it’s going on the route that close people who know him admire him while others hate him. Nothing seems forced and all I can say is that it really does seem like a nice read so far. I give it a 5/5!

a pretty realistic MC is possessing the body of the villain of his favorite game... while searching for the method of going back to his world, he tried to minimize the effect of his conduct that results in his ruin and progressing to the original game. his words when talking to people around him are translated to be arrogant and bad but people are keeping misunderstand with him but our MC is clueless about what they are thinking of him. the plot and his way of thinking are interesting. the... more>> description in the story isn't bad as well. looking forward to his encounter to the original game's hero, liner ⊙﹏⊙ <<less

A really compelling story for what it is. One of the better reincarnated-inside-game story I have read so far. Its nice to se a story not focused on fighting, but rather what effect of having pre-knowledge of events can have on the world.

I really, really like this series! It's a bit of intelligent op (in the eyes of others), slight, but not cringy misunderstandings, a kinda otome (no... Not at all...) feel, unknown likeness, and best of all, how he talks!! Rude, but with good meaning. It's the best kind of tsunsdere! And he's a boy too!!! Little boy tsunsdere!!!

As others have noted, there is a sharp decrease in quality at the start of volume 3. Up to that point, the situations and especially the protagonist's assessment thereof are described intricately, and the reader has a very good understanding of what's going on and what the MC is thinking of it, but apparently that suddenly had to turn as mysterious as possible, with several stories of the skipped time being told from different perspectives.

It takes a bit of effort to get over that hump, but after that it remains... more>> readable and returns to the former style to a certain extent, although chapters from other perspectives seem more frequent than in the first two volumes.

However what bothers me the most, is that the content does not fit the title. There are barely any death flags, and some of the ones that are there are dealt with anticlimactically (see volume 3).

Overall it is a decent story of a protagonist who considers it convenient for the whole world to vilify him as he tries to avert the cataclysmic events in the game's story. What makes it the most interesting are the moral conflicts about the misfortunes in the game's backstory that he tries to maintain in order for the future to remain predictable.

On a slightly different note, it should be mentioned that while several heroines that were the game's harem candidates exist, this MC does not form a harem with all the heroines immediately and inexplicably falling in love with him. I personally do not mind lighthearted stories like that, but many people seem to stop reading when that happens and this story is fairly safe in that regard. <<less

So far so good! I'm enjoying the MC's journey and it's entertaining thus far, although I do want more political intrigue and follow-up on his plans from volume 1.

Umm.. I haven't read too far but my overall impressions is that the story feels really slow and aimless. It's almost kind of like the author doesn't really know what he wants to do with his story. I don't think the worlds particularly interesting. The main character isn't particularly interesting. His abilities aren't particularly interesting. It's not that funny. The misunderstandings aren't as funny as say in To Be a Power in the Shadows or I Am an Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire. The side characters aren't interesting. I... more>> just don't really get it. Plus the pace the novel goes at is quite slow. I got the impression that the author adds a lot of fluff paragraphs to expound on stuff that really doesn't matter or add anything to the story. Who knows? Maybe it gets better in the later chapters but if I haven't been hooked after 36 chapters, it's safe for me to call it quits. <<less

I feel like they should have went over more of his inner turmoil and struggles in trying to keep his head low when trying to surviving on his 'own'. They showed parts of this which I loved because I have a thing for characters with inner turmoils but they cut it short when it was getting good with a time skip. This makes the story less tear jerking than I thought it would be.

I think the novel is interesting though it is confusing at the same time.

The author tends to repeat a phrase over and over. For example, when the MC decided to do something, the reasons of doing so were repeated several times with rephrasing sentences and altering words. It makes me feel bored so sometime I have to skim through certain paragraphs to skip repetitions.

The novel is great although there are some of the familiar Japanese novels. It is pretty different in term of the characters and development. There are two version one written in multiple character pov and one in your typical 3rd person. Although the 3rd person Is okay I personally find the pov one much more enjoyable because it's makes the novel kind or unique and it gives better character development. I can only hope that someone would eventually translate the 3rd person chapter to the pov
