I can’t continue this anymore at first it was great and quite flawless however as the novel drags on it became repetitive also, I don’t really enjoy the other side CPs in the novel that’s the main reason I’m quitting they are too one dimensional. The villains are not great but I love the main couples. They are one true power couple I would like it better if the MC doesn’t focus one the other side characters too much.

So far it's okay. In all honesty the translation quality really s**ked out some enjoyment later on, but they're switching the translator so hopefully it'll get way better. So I'm gonna review ignoring that chunk of the story (which is only a couple chapters anyway).

ML's yandere-ness is a little much for me, although I get where it's coming from. I hope being helped by side characters will help his personality somewhat, because I really don't wanna see MC being trapped and then borderline Stockholm lol. The plot itself is very... more>> classic, but world building is not bad at all. It's actually a pretty enjoyable read.

For those worried about MC's homophobic tendencies, it gets way better after the first couple chapters. Even then, it wasn't so much like he hated it but more that in his mind it was lack of discipline and he was kinda blaming himself? But then he found out his brother was like that naturally, so it wasn't a problem anymore and he'd defend his brother against hell or high waters. And then it's more of "this is a yaoi world with a scum protag so you'd better be straight after all because all the men are probably gonna betray you for the scum protag". <<less

It was interesting but there is no character development since a loooong while... and the plot seems stuck. If you are into martial arts you will be fine with it but I have no patience with all those descriptions.

C3: what a delicious twist.

C26: Oh my things have dertaininly gotten more interesting ascwe delve deeper into the story. The plot has changed from the original bl novel and what will happen in the future as our MC meets the original novel ML and others.

Enjoyed the story so far BUT idk if I can continue anymore because of AH translations π_π it's sooooooo worse compared to the previous 56 chapters that were translated by the old Translator. Like, its making my head hurt and I'm just frustrated and mad. I would have liked it if they didn't pick up this novel to translate it badly and left it there so someone else may pick it up who would translate and edit it nicely. One of the best/better 'transmigrating into a novel and ending up with the villain/protag BL' I've read. Also, I didn't feel annoyed with the nonexistence of xxx scenes in this novel when it's labelled as yaoi. In some novels it does get annoying when the author just drops everything halfway through a scene, which makes it feel like the text is censored when it's actually not. I'd rather the author skip the whole scene in such cases and just focus on the funny reactions and s*xual tension, like in here.

Anyway,... more>> after reading several similar novels, I tend to find myself getting bored after the main characters get together. Surprisingly I'm not tiring of this one at all, and I realise it's cause there's always something interesting happening round the corner. There's mini arcs or events happening with the major plot and it's also the reason why this novel is so long but I don't mind it. In fact, I like it a lot. It's rare to see the main characters growing closer together over many events instead of one big plot plus timeskips. Each event or mini arc/boss is interesting and exciting so far, so there's always something to look forward to other than the romance.

The characters are well developed and don't suffer from s*upid misunderstandings and communication problems, which is a godsend in all web novels. The side characters are fun as well. I'm surprised I'm liking this novel so much, actually. I think it's up there with SVSS as a light-hearted, fun read.

The translation quality takes a nosedive at 60 or so when the translator changes, but don't worry as the new translating group rectifies this.

If you, like me, are sick of yet unable to stop reading transmigration BL xianxia novels, I recommend this as it gives a good sense of adventure and fun other than romance. <<less

I'm still reading this but I wanted to make a review for myself mainly.

The idea of a transmigrated MC x reborn ML is very interesting and unique! And I absolutely adore it. (This is one of my favourite points in this entire novel honestly.)

I love cultivation novels with some BL in the mix but of course, there are quite a few cons as there are pros in thsi novel.

I don't really like how he likes to spank the ML and teach him a lesson as his older brother bc honestly, that's awkward asf especially when their age gap was like 4 years or something? You'd expect their parents to do it not sibling. That's just something I didn't like tbh so don't get offended :)

Second, I do like how MC is not overly righteous and is smart (except when dealing with ML) since he's a massive brocon.

About the homophobic tag, I don't really know what to say about it but MC doesn't really say anything to ML that's homophobic. His mindset, yes, could be described as homophobic tho.

I personally have a lot of issues with the ML. He's kinda bland and very stereotypical. The possessive yandere type that can borderline go into r*pe.

I personally despise these types of MLs or characterisation in general. It really pissed me off when the ML made MC drunk and took advantage of him (even tho he didn't do the deed when he wanted to) and then afterwards, decides to do something secretly that had to do with something very important of the MC's which was his blood essence to connect them together.

To me, I would do it with consent rather than being forced to have something I didn't know or want to have.

As for the romance:

MC was already the doting type so obviously he would spoil and meticulously care for ML.

Whereas ML would just be cold to everyone but warm to MC trope. With the addition of secretly doing things such as taking advantage over MC and doing stuff to his body without MC's permission.

But of course MC forgives him anyways, bc that's what always happens in the end.

I'm up to the part where MC is starting to see ML not as a child anymore but as a grown up which I totally don't mind but do you really have to make him blush and start thinking of him in the romance way but in denial?

To me, it was really cringy and weird, not to mention awkward. If it was me, I would never make the Blooming romance of realisation happen like that for an MC who always thought they were straight. Plus he only started feeling that way once he took a closer look at ML's beauty which felt kinda shallow considering how long they've been together and their brotherhood ya know?

Well I can already tell how they're gonna end up together bc such a pairing is pretty predictable once you've read a lot of bl novels :D

As for side characters, they're not very memorable so far into 100 chapters tbh.

As for the plot: it's kinda interesting but sometimes it will feel draggy but the story is quite interesting in ways.

I'm also mainly staying for the the future interactions with Bai Hua (the og novel protagonist) and how MC and ML work their way with that protagonist halo ^W^ <<less

Ahhhhhhh!!! &Lt;3 I would advise people who are turned off by the tag for the homophobic!protagonist or whatever to give this a shot because it's a yaoi novel so obviously the protagonist isn't THAT homophobic or he'll get better in the future lol.

I, myself, was turned off by the homophobic protagonist tag, but I ended up giving this story a shot and I've really enjoyed it!
