Lots of people say that the feel is similar to The Earth is Online, and they're sort of right! The couple is quite different (TEIO has a more subtle, slow-burn couple who don't really PDA that much but have a very deep mutual understanding, and Game Loading has a very energetic couple who goes from MC hating ML before meeting him, and then through a series of ... more>>
Spoiler

accidental amnesia, meeting at least twenty different versions of ML through the quasi-worlds' souls, and loving him multiple times over several different universes

[collapse]
and the game mechanics are quite different but I get a similar feeling of fluffiness and satisfaction from this story

Couple is 10/10
ML is a shameless flirt who hides a rather tragic side and was on the path to a quiet doom until he met MC, is meant to be OP but apart from the couple of times where his skills and resources help MC (usually without MC knowing until much later, mainly due to the *SPOILER* backlash of his actions), is very childish sometimes and sticky but treasures MC with all his heart. A typical "will act pitiful and sticky in order to get attention from his lover but will display Oscar-levels of acting skills when he's actually in danger/hurt in order not to worry his lover"
MC is a beginner player blessed with probably all of the luck accumulated by humanity through the centuries, lol. His luck is probably OP but it's never really done in a way that makes me cringe, because the story and the plot make up for it and incorporates it in a way so that it never really feels jarring to me. An MC with braincells is always fun to read about! This MC has both the emotional and logical braincells, so the book never got frustrating to read <3

Story is probably 9/10
The stories themselves are amazing. Some reviews say that it's repetitive, but although the barest concepts of each quasi-world is similar
Spoiler

(MC and ML's soul fragment need to get together)

[collapse]
, each story is unique, with their own worldbuilding, characters, relationships, and plot. A lot of the time you'll get so invested in each story that you'll forget that it's a part of the main story at all, but they are all memorable and you'll probably end up with a few personal favourites as you read. After the first few worlds and MC and ML get to know each other and fall in love, all the quasi-worlds after that seem so much more meaningful <3 what's more romantic than MC living through world after world of both whole and collapsing worlds, recognising his lover no matter what form or shape he's taken, and patiently teaching him how to love and (usually) bringing him to the light each time?

Spoiler

My personal favourite is the Collapsed God quasi-world, especially J and Xie Xi's story. It's really romantic and tragic at the same time, the story of endless unconditional love and the different things the same love can do to two different people. I cried reading it, and the concept of the quasi-world was really unexpected, I didn't see the twist coming at all!

[collapse]

However, the only thing I can criticise (?) about this story is the ending and the handling of the side characters? There wasn't anything inherently wrong about the ending, but it was just a little too abrupt for my taste. I feel like there were a few strings that just got cut off prematurely to make a quick and clean ending that could have been developed further. For example,

Spoiler

Yunge seemed to be building up to become a sort of villain later on within the Central, especially since all the main "villains" had only been characters or souls within the quasi-worlds, but in the end they didn't do anything after Xie Xi and Jiang Xie defeated a few of their members in the open world. N seemed to be a sort of not-quite-villain antagonist but they didn't even develop much on his "redemption", and he sort of ended up being a convenient character with a convenient backstory and ability. I would have liked to see him become closer with MC and ML, especially sine MC will repair his worlds, and since his whole character is based off of his loneliness, I thought that we would be able to see N eventually integrate into Jiang Xie's group of friends.

[collapse]

Spoiler

Speaking of Jiang Xie's group of friends, the interactions we saw were very funny and sweet but it was too few! We only got the slightest hint of Yan Zhe's backstory with Jiang Xie, but I was really looking forward to seeing how the rest of them got to know Jiang Xie, and why they became friends with him, what sort of designers they are, etc. I also wanted to see more of Roast Pork Bun, who turned into a sort of plot device towards the end and was forgotten, and Xie Xi's little group of half-zombie friends and also the friend he made in the open world. Also, there were a few antagonistic characters who were dropped and forgotten as soon as MC left the quasi-world. I didn't notice while I was reading, but looking back, they probably could have been developed further.

[collapse]

In short, I felt like although the main couple were developed excellently, the side characters and the plot about the Central could have been expanded on a lot more, which would have made the story a lot better and satisfying, in my opinion.

Ultimately, though, it only really left me wanting more. 300 chapters was too short ;; I wish it were 600, but it was still an amazing read and will probably stay as one of my favourite stories ^^ Read it! You won't regret! <<less

This novel is really good. It's like multiple novels in one... for REAL! I like the comedic tone, the suspense at the same time, and how the worlds are differents, separated but related to ML. The translation is really well done. The title is misleading though. Very recommended.

With Xie Xi, the emperor of luck and the only person who can enter the quasi-worlds designed by X, he wanted to help Jiang Xie clear the instances of each of those worlds but his main mission is to let 6 up to 12 guys falling in love with him at the same time! Just how can Xie Xi split his body into 6/12?!

This novel includes minor profanities and also minor and explicit s*xual scenes. This a novel friendly to those who's uncomfortable to read R18 details.

I recommend this novel... more>> to those who loves reading novels wherein the MC is literally world hopping. Minor readers were also okay reading this one! Everything is great except for the fact that I felt that the interactions between the "main" Jiang Xie and Xie Xi were too little and some minor plot holes but everyone had different opinions and this novel will surely not going to disappoint you <<less

I enjoied this story very much, every trick in every game is different and in most of them I couldn't think of the correct solution until the end when it was revealed. This novel got me involved and I coulden't stop reading it. A very engaging story, I highly recomment it!

MC adventure in the quasi world is wayy more fun, especially the first (love right and left) and second world (atlantis). MC inner monologue is funny. ML and MC dyanmis is to die for. ML is shameless and could see the goodwill of MC and it's such a unique skill. IMO, this novel ML stand out as much as MC, in some novels, the MC overshadowed the ML and ML ended up as 2D.

One of the things that made me like the ML more is how ML has a thick... more>> skin and when his friends misunderstood about ML and MC relationship, he just goes yeahhh, he likes me. Meanwhile, MC goodwill towards him is -250.

With around 300 chapters, this novel could be overwhelming sometimes. It's an okay read but probably will only re read the exciting part, not tge whole book. <<less

I LOVE this book!

It was very draggy in the start and I had to force myself through the first 10, kinda random, chapters before I got into the story. But after that, it just kept getting better and entertaining and the progress was smooth!

There is SO MUCH dog blood in this book so if you are into that stuff, this is a dog blood fest!

The MC and ML are just sooo adorable so dog blood + dog food? HELL YEAH!

Definitely worth a read!

Simple review: lots of dog blood drama btwn ML souls, MC rowing N number of boat at the same time, Shameless Ml, Dog food. Overall this novel is good but I dont why ppl are comparing this one with earth is online guyss it is not the same and for me last arc that 12 zodiac signs is bit boring. Good read.

I thought it would be messy with all those male leads and having to step in n amount of boats, but after continuing with the story, it just gets better and better. The love between them is just beyond words ah. It's definitely a roller coaster - some parts are super funny, others are just sad, there's even some eating vinegar amongst all the remaining cute and fluffy parts. It's something you definitely should read if you wanna eat some dog food!

Well written. Good plot. Very cute romance between the ML and MC. DEFINITELY worth the read.

The MC is not omnipotent so it kind of makes it a little more realistic. Plus it's not like the MC immediately fell in love with the ML so it was a fun read. The games (quasiworlds/arcs) were quite well written. There are some similarities but overall it's interesting. So don't contemplate anymore because you won't regret it.

Unless you don't like complex storylines and hate to think while reading.

This a beautiful story, even though there were only a few characters that actually had some substance BUT

Spoiler

there are too many dog blood dramas in it!!!! (ノಠ益ಠ) ノ彡┻━┻ Yes, it was hilarious for some of the time; but after a while I had to skip a few chapters and I still wouldn't have missed anything.

This probably has the same vibe as Earth Is Online, only much more light-hearted than thrilling. Honestly when I picked this up I wasn't expecting much and only thought that this was probably full of dogblood from the summary... Turns out I was right QAQ. BUT I actually didn't mind it. Hell I think it was kinda great. The most unexpected thing from this story is probably the comedy. I have never laughed so hard from reading any other BL novels before.

I really recommend this. Especially if you're looking for... more>> something fun but serious at the same time. The ML is really shameless but he's the type where you can only be helpless at and still love him no matter what he does. He probably has something wrong with his brain and I suspect that he's secretly an M 。◕‿◕。

The development between ML and MC was actually a bit rushed. But it felt right and not out of place. I especially love how they portrayed it in such an easy-to-get-wrong type of troupe but it was actually cleverly written. I was really engrossed and only after the arc was over did I realise that the relationship was rushed, but it didn't feel like it cause we were given such a step by step view.

Some parts are fun to read while others just squeeze your heart until it hurts so much. MC basically becomes a master at pedalling n boats and this is probably the interesting thing about the story. Like it's really thrilling but it's not the usual like violence or horror type of feeling. (• ▽ •;) It's the type of 'don't get caught cheating XX!'

They talk about alot of philosophical stuff in this and probably the vibe that was similar to Earth Is Online. Sometimes you will really feel lost even if they explain it but somehow vaguely understand. The story was written really clever since everything was connected and all the foreshadowing weren't that obvious but when you go back to check...

I felt that the plot is still way too hidden even after finishing the story. Like there are so many questions that haven't been answered, yet it's still wrapped up completely fine in my opinion. But it felt a bit anti-climactic especially since the story is full of mystery and hidden plotpoints. It just abruptly ended without an explanation as to why it ended like so.

Anyway, the shortcomings are obviously overpowered by the good points. This story is really good, and really fun to read. I recommend going through the 1st arc first and if you're still not interested then it's probably not for you. Still, this was probably one of the top ones. <<less

It starts off rather intense and yandere (what with the decapitation and all) but that gets toned down after that instance. Their relationship is really sweet and playful, and only becomes more touching as we delve into their past and how they bring meaning to each other's existence. Xie Xi's character is very likeable; he's quick-thinking, pragmatic and has enviable good luck levels. The fact that there's no system or much information provided about each game-world makes it more exciting, as we have to figure out with him what the... more>> setting is and how to accomplish the vaguely described tasks.

The worlds were fun and unique, my favourite was seeing XX struggling to be a slag and pedal multiple boats at the same time. (ಡ艸ಡ) Even the love-at-first-sight (or at first soul resonance??) of Jiang Xie which I thought was going to be left unexplained actually gets explained at the end. Pretty neat.

It also sprinkles in there some interesting thoughts about the linearity of time, belief and reality, god and creation, and existence, which is also fun. ^ ^ <<less

Finishedddd!!!!!Well 1st of all I'm actually surprised tat this is the same author fr My Underachieveing Classmates.I really like the other story and it's quite diff from GL.

So abt GL, this is multiple worlds genre.I have to stop at 3/4 of the story around chp 250++ bcos I've been reading other stories too and this novel has kinda serious, detailed, and a more complicated plots that requires u to think. So my mind just went numb and had to stop b4 picking it up again.

The plots were well thought, the... more>> explanations clear and detailed. The beginning was interesting altho nearing the end it gets kinda repetitif with ML keep falling love at 1st sight, possessive, OP, dark thoughts etc2. So yeah... had to stop reading for a while. The ending I felt was kinda rushed despite the complexity of each world. The explanation abt the secret of central was just sud thrown like that? <<less

This is technically a QT novel but it differs from you average QT novel. The side characters are pretty funny and the plot compelling. Each arc is intriguing and several arcs could be standalone novels.

To summarize, MC is pulled into the worlds that ML has designed and becomes irreparably entangled with him.

Spoiler

It's later revealed that ML has purposely made the worlds for the sole purpose of finding MC.

[collapse]

The arcs of this novel are very unique and like the reader, MC has no clue what the back story for each world is. Thus, there's a healthy amount of mystery as MC utilizes his investigative abilities to clear each world. He isn't strong in the beginning and relies on his own powers, albeit with a bit of help from ML.

I am usually not a fan of pseudo-harem novels, but the way that it's presented in this novel is realistic and explains parts of ML's history.

Spoiler

Instead of creating a bunch of random characters who have nothing to do with each other, each personality still encompasses parts of ML's personality and is representative of different eras of his life. Unsurprisingly, he sets a bunch of landmines for himself and MC.

I only write reviews for the novels I really like and yes this is one of them

I really recommend people to read this and be patient while reading it cause only after when I was patient and read a bit more of it did I finally enjoy this.

The first arc of the story was totally good enough to draw me in. It was funny and exciting to see what would happen next. Arc 3 pissed me off a little and I came so close to dropping it because I thought... more>> all his tasks might be related to love and it might be repetitive (Even tho arc 3 was really good and funny) but I'm glad I held on. (Yes, thats the point! You too! Don't drop it here!). All his tasks weren't like that. They were different and fun in their own way. Each world was different from the typical worlds shown in QTs and I liked that.
The romance between the MC and ML and how the MC fell for him made me cry. After they became a couple, I thought the MC will start relying totally on ML but I'm glad that wasn't the case. Except a little help, MC basically did things on his own.

The collapsed god arc was really serious one and it made me so sad when I was reading it. The last batch of worlds were really beautiful and short worlds which I loved a lot.

ML is one of my favourite MLs he's not some unfeeling cold guy but he's such a funny, loving guy who loves the MC so much!!!!

The ending was so frickkin wholesome that I cried. The author totally took me by surprise.

Spoiler

It was revealed that ML basically just saw MC in different possible futures and fell in love with him. But since all the possible futures contained miserable ends for the MC (he even died miserably in one of them), The ML, in order to save and be together with MC, risked his own life, went against fate and started designing quasi-worlds using his own soul!!! Yes!! It was all for the MC!!!He even loved roses just because of him!!!!

[collapse]

There were still a lot of things left hanging like why MC's mom was like that, Zhong Jin and his interest towards MC and about the father that was unexpectedly revealed in the final chapter. But still it was pretty good. The wholesome ending deserves 5-stars!!!! <<less

You maybe felt kind of iffy and confused but at least read until arc 1 is done (20 chapter I guess?). At first, I doubt this story. Now, I have no regret and always re read some arc.

4.5/5

... more>> Some of the arc is kind of annoying, but it's still interesting. My fav arc is Open World's Dream Come True arc! (Chapter 92)

The ML of each arc is ML's soul who is scattered around his designated world. Yes, ML is a designer, God X. But for some reason he has to divide his own soul to make the world. There's bunch of world btw haha. At first, MC only want to survive and all. But after knowing more about ML, he decided to help ML gathering all of his soul to strengthen his power (or his own body). The rose garden is the mirror of ML's soul, so if the rose garden is withered, that means ML is in danger state.

The ending is not happy ever after. It's still continuing. I mean like, The MC and ML will still going around to ML's world (there's still bunch ok?!) to gather ML's soul and that's it.

The conflict is, some of ML's world is crumbling, and if it crash, his soul will dissapeared and ML will weakened (or even injured) after the problem is done then is the end haha. It's kind of cliffhanger but not really since the conflict already done.

It's good especially chapter 92 (Dream World Arc) AHAHAHA I really like this arc so damn much!!

Oh yeah, in each arc (except 12 boundaries Arc), there are more than one ML, so it's kind of harem since even though they're from the same soul, they have their own will and personality. So sometimes it feels like cheating but not really haha! (I am talking about the Mermaid arc) <<less

Good:

  • MC, enough said.
  • The zombie team aka fans of MC. I'm sad there's not much of them
  • Every world's characters and plot. I really like it esp the dream our CP had.
Meh/Bad:

  • The last arc isn't really described well, I wish the author put more thought in it esp since it's the revelation of the central/worlds but overall, that was really bland. I didn't get most of it even though I've read it for quite a number of times so I just let it go.
  • The side characters are really really really interesting but there's not much story about them!! This novel reached 309 chaps and sad that the sides are shown only in their respective arcs.
  • ML, I like our ML and his souls butttt I'm torn between liking him and being annoyed with him. He's... okay I guess. I liked the MC so much he overshadowed ML lol.

I really enjoyed this romance, but the second half of the novel dragged on so long!!!! My negatives aren't too spoilery, but they're just spoilery enough that I've put them in a box. Basically, I feel like one thing gets resolved way too early, and other things never get resolved at all.

Spoiler

The negatives: Without specifics, there's a certain 'game world' where the main romance issues get resolved. Everything after that starts to feel more and more repetitive, without a good pay off at the end for the non-romantic issues. Subsequent game worlds end up feeling like AU fanfic of the main story. It gets sluggish because it's the same thing over and over, just with different coats of paint (some worlds are fantasy, another is sci-fi, etc).

Some of the world-building introduces really interesting concepts and a few mysteries with the characters, but these are never explained in a satisfactory way. Many of the novels mysteries are ultimately dismissed as 'it doesn't matter / person with answer doesn't remember'.

I think that you could read to the resolution of the romance arc and then just stop, without missing anything. Consider the stuff after that to be a really generous helping of 'extras', and you'll enjoy it a lot more. It can be fun! Especially if you like the characters by that point. You get to spend more time with them that way. Just don't expect any of your questions about the world or the side characters to get answered, or you'll set yourself up for disappointment.

[collapse]

For the positives- this novel involves a sort of transmigration through different 'game worlds'. Some of the game worlds, particularly at the beginning, seem very high stakes and the MC is in real danger. The MC has to be clever, and the system structure actively prevents the overpowered love interest from simply handwaving away all the danger.

And, I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I enjoyed the love interest trying so hard to win the MC over and the funny misunderstandings that occur. If you enjoy the tropes of the Mysterious Powerful Person falling in love with someone who doesn't respect them at all (lol), definitely give this one a try.

Ultimately, it's a great story that I'm glad I read. It could have been edited down to half the size, but as is, think of it as a buffet of one particular kind of romance. If you find you like it, read on! There's a lot!

But, if you get through the 'chase' phase of the romance and don't want any more? Save yourself the time and stop there. You'll only get bitter with the experience if you expect the story to evolve into something that it isn't. <<less

This is another one of OP MC and OP ML in a space where they have to solve puzzles and clear worlds (cause that’s the story). A similar story would be the earth is online. This story is more focused on the romance, compared to earth is online.

The plot is smooth flowing (can be understood), and can be seen that the author planned ahead. It can be cliched at some parts (some worlds) but I guess to be expected.

If I were to rate this compared to other bl world hopping,... more>> I’d say this is above average.

Read it and you’ll find out. <<less
