Easily cowed and bullied, she was the useless, ugly woman with no talent in medical skills. Supported by millions, he was Tianning’s most respected duke with the power to move all under Heaven. On their wedding day the bridal sedan was carried to the front doors, but the Duke of Qin’s gates were shut tight.

They told her, ‘Come back tomorrow.’

All alone, she walked step-by-step full of pride through the duke’s doors. Little could they imagine, this unattractive good-for-nothing was a beautiful, genius doctor of poisons!

After transmigrating to the past, poisons expert Han Yunxi finds herself on the verge of being married off to the country’s second most powerful man, the Duke of Qin. Her future life seems set–except her husband is an unfeeling ice block, her in-laws think she’s a eyesore, the empress dowager wants to use her for her own goals, and poison-related plots abound.

Alone, the intelligent (and sensible) Yunxi must carve her own space from the intricate web of court intrigue and the jianghu, relying on her words, wits, and wisdom to survive. Adapt when necessary, use force when required; to survive and thrive is the name of the game to a prosperous life.

No matter what, she’ll prove her right to live!

Well... This novel has been on the top of my list ever since I started reading! ~

I like how MC isn't too overpowered or too much of a damsel in distress. ML didn't fall in love to her so quickly. Although a little slow sailing in romance, their interaction complements with each other.

What irked me though is the villains, especially the btches, theyre too stubborn, and I believe theres alot of them in the future chapters...

This is a very VERY nice novel, though, the villains... really... I've never been so... more>> mad at a fictional characters... still, MC, ML and other nice characters made up for my frustrations so its still on my top books to read ~

I recommend reading this for those who like/love historical, transmigration romance stories, you might not like ML at first for his coldness but really, he's very nice!! He didn't disappoint this reader!! <<less

Just love this story!!!! Although it's a typical reincarnation story in the beginning BUT!!!

- there's lovable ML ice cube

- the MC is funny

... more>> - side male characters are lovable and honestly I like them. GB and GQ I luv u guys ❤️???

- side female characters (likes ML) are nice ?.... OBVIOUSLY IM LYING!!! There as annoying as they can get ?

- there's an actual plot and not the routine cycle of 'bad guy plots against the MC AND she defeats them'. Well... that happen too but there's an actual back story. Like $:is&7bf5;ju^st€*#!|*<

hahaha in not spoiling anything ??? I'll give you a slight taste without spoiling. Well there are ppl poisoning ppl for who knows wat reason and many question about ppls background (as in family ties). OK!!! That's enough! I'm borderline almost spoiling ???

but ur most of all

THE TRANSLATOR's EXTRAs after the teaser is so funny and enjoyable. Current readers like me enjoy the extras as much as the chapter itself ??? <<less

I've already written a full review on this on my Wordpress account! However, now that I've made an account in NU, I still feel like I should still write something here.

I definitely love this novel! If not for her abnormal detox system, the MC here isn't OP. She lacked martial arts. She's not some reincarnated genius assassin, but was once only a doctor. There are no initial revenge-revenge, shoot the heavens whatever plots here. She is still definitely human. (Only her detox system is abnormal lol Still can't get over... more>> it! It's the only thing I'm not convinced in this novel!)

Anyway, ahem ahem, the detox aside, there are still a lot of things to love about PGC. I love the characters, the character growth, the universe, and the damn ML! HAHAHA That ice-cube man. I think, in all of the cold heartless MLs a lot of authors are trying to portray, no one could get as close to the genuine cold ML as this one! But! He may be cold, yeah, but for me, because of this coldness, he is the one with the cutest development! XDD

PGC has a really slow development, yes, and a lot of overbearing characters along the way. So one might be easily discouraged with that, and I don't blame you! I think it even break the record for me for having the most annoying characters! If not for MC, I would've dropped it too. The saving grace for me on this one is definitely the lead. Despite all the troubles and the chaotic world thrown at her, she was able to beat them with her wit, courage, and willpower! Being one originally born in the modern world, she even sympathised with the readers with how unbearable and illogical these 'ancient characters' are! HAHAHA

Note that YunXi, the MC, doesn't have powerful backups. So she was forced to suffer everything at the start, and had even resigned herself to believe only in herself and her capabilities to save herself. While her detox system might be OP, the circumstances of MC doesn't make her OP. Time and time, she gets doubted. Time and time, she has to prove herself. It takes a while before she gets recognition, born from her genuine efforts ofc. Yes, she had a strong ML! But what use is his strength when he's as cold as ice? ML knew more than anyone the rules of the jungle, knew that if MC had to survive, she had to learn how to defend herself. And learning to defend herself she did! And she earns my respect for it.

So, even with the slow development, as long as there IS development, I don't mind it so long as something valuable could be gotten from it. And for me, PGC did not disappoint in this aspect (at least up until this chapter. I am enthusiastically waiting the exciting things to come, and so will not comment and try to remain unbiased as I've not read them yet).

The writer here is a good writer, and the translators nothing less! So my reading experience for PGC was really great. They were able to profoundly describe the characters, explicitly or not, and detail development that is neither rushed nor very slow. The characters' reactions and movements were true to their character, logical and realistic, albeit some of them hateful. There were none too OP characters, and their strength were borderline believable, unlike some reincarnated plots out there with authors stacking every epithets they could think of on their leads.

I hint a lot of mysteries lurk around the corner, and eagerly await for them to be exposed. But right now, PGC is a thrilling ride that one cannot miss. If you're in to transmigrated plots with too OP characters, brace yourselves since PGC isn't one like that. And if you're one on the masochistic side looking for persecuted MCs, this one isn't one either... hn, maybe only at the start? lol!

Anyhow, for me, PGC just nicely smacked right there in the middle. The leads are loveable that, as mentioned, even with the unfortunate circumstances and detestable side insect- I mean characters, I lauded them for the actions they took next to fight it. I guess I should laud author for this! XDD

Right now, with Kenkyo and HBAG, unless some unforeseen circumstances later on made me change my mind, this one easily tops on my list. <<less

So I read ahead using the raws and I like the fact that the romance is quite believable, not like most novels where the male lead will have some unexplainable interest in the female lead. He actually takes very long to actually fall for her (Which some people may not like). Their relationship is also not very clear cut because the author writes about the little actions/ progress in the relationship but never clearly states it which makes it seem all the more realistic. I also like the fact that... more>> she sometimes retaliates but is not entirely vicious or without reason, let's say when the Empress Dowager etc all treat her badly, she doesn't randomly poison them just for revenge. But she does teach others a lesson such as the princess (But she eventually healed her anyway).

Also in the earlier chapters, comments were hating on the male lead which reminded me that I also did not like the male lead at first. I have no idea when he grew on me! At this point of the novel where I'm at (Late 100s), he actually likes her [Not explicitly stated but shown - another thing I like about this novel] but has not fully trusted her or come to love her yet. <<less

Rating this 2... For now. I might change it later.

I have some very high expectations for rebirths/transmigration novels like this one, especially ones with medicine /poison tag since I work in the medical field and what's the first thing a poison expert do? She treats Staphylococcus (a bacteria) as poison... And even claimed that the ancients use it to disfigure the face. Sure it can cause the wound to be infected but there are worse bacteria that can cause a wound to be infected and even rot,... more>> disfiguring the face (how they're sure it was caused by Staphylococcus I'm not sure) but that's just me being uptight... And an ass. I actually applaud the author for getting the grape-like appearance right. I can let it pass, I came here to enjoy the novel, not read a medical book...

The reason I gave this a 2 (for now) is because I am ve~~ry irritated with the characters... Except for the female MC, the poisoned general and that imperial physician who helped her, every single one of them is irritating and mostly s*upid. But I have high hopes for the male MC, for now I hate you.

I'm putting this novel aside for now, maybe wait a hundred chapters more then binge read. I hope it gets better. *fingers crossed* <<less

Warning: if you prefer stories where ML who will fall in love with FL at first sight, then this is not for you. If you prefer FL who is OP with no weaknesses and never make mistakes this is also not for you.

If you like more realistic Ancient Chinese story where the royals acts like royals (pain in the back), slow moving romance (by slow I mean you need to wait till ch 600 or 700 before the Iceberg started to melt) then this is for you.

FL is smart and... more>> strong, but she still make some mistakes which makes her more human. ML is an iceberg who treat the FL coldly at first, which to me feels more realistic, he’s from royal family who trust no one and only think about how to manipulate people around him as how royal family should be. But, once that iceberg melt, it was worth the hundreds chapter wait. And after c850, the sweetness will give you diabetes. The ML just dotes on FL endlessly.

And can I just say how I love all the inner thinking of the shadow guards ??. <<less

Although I like this novel quite a lot for the action, it really should have been named "Long Feiye Is Crap At Communication". One empathizes easily with the MC, but frankly I just want to slap this guy. He keeps suspecting her of cheating on him and not even trying to explain himself, and she keeps forgiving him after awhile and slipping back into getting along well together, despite never having had an actual adult conversation where they sit down and work things out.

Rating: 4.5.

Where to begin with this story..... overall, I feel like PGC will always be my favorite CNovel, no matter if I've dropped it (for reasons I will explain later). It just has many, many things that I loved and was one of the first I read, so it also has that nostalgic feeling~

Points to talk about:

1. First of all, my main love for this series is the MC, Han Yunxi. HYX is not OP, actually she's pretty much a very talented poison doctor but nothing out of the ordinary... more>> either - she's not one of those impossibly talented MCs. She also has a cheat system, that to some might be ridiculous but idk to me it was okay - she's going to need everything she needs in this ancient world. My favorite thing about her tho, was her personality - she's smart and capable, yes, but most of all she's cheerful, stubborn, and still kind (within limits of course) despite the ancient world she is in. She was the first character in these types of web novels that I truly connected to and cheered on, and I was reading the story to see how she would overcome her obstacles - that in essence, is what makes this story the best one for me because for the most part, a lot of the times the MCs in these stories are so boring and flat, they could be exchanged and you wouldn't even realize.

2.....I really love the translation. The way the story is translated shows that the author has a good writing style - for web novels of course, I'm not claiming she's an acclaimed author or anything, but still leagues ahead of most stories in this specific genre of transmigration into ancient China. And the chapters are such a good length for the most part - not very long, but also not too short, which can be so annoying if you've read similar stories.

3. Once the ML (Long Feiye) melts, the romance is very sweet. It is also much better developed than most of the stories on here. To quote another reader, the romance btwn HYX and LFY feels real - it feels like LFY fell for HYX and not just another cardboard cutout female lead with amazing abilities and a cunning mind. I do have my troubles with LFY and the romance in general, but it is still much better than most out there.

The problems I had w/ the romance were unsurprisingly on the side of the ML.... he's not the worst one out there, but sometimes I felt like his reactions (especially when he got jealous) bordered on being abusive or were red flags that made me really uncomfortable at times. I also get tired of the whole possessive shit... since it feels like he's treating HYX as his property, even if in those times she technically was. It's just not romantic or cute.

4. The plot. I feel like the plot is well done in the series when compared to other stories.... except for maybe the first 100 chapters. Which you could say is a lot but considering the story is finished at 1300+ chapters, I would say it's not. The first 100 chapters are very annoying tbh, with the typical infuriating villains that make you want to bang your head against a wall, and also HYX is in a position where she can't really fight back and can only survive. Also LFY doesn't really help her out, altho I think it fits his cold personality. This has made many people who can't wait it out drop this series, altho I think if you can make it past the first 100 or so chapters, the story and the plot itself becomes so much better.

There was also the typical aphrodisiac plot that always annoys to me no end I must mention. I wish authors would stop putting these type of plots where it almost always ends in the r*pe of the female villain - it's just downright disrespectful to use r*pe as a mere plot device, and no, I don't care if that somehow happened during ancient times. R*pe isn't something to use as a scheme btwn women - it's also quite sexist tbh.

5. Side characters. The side characters, particularly the second MLs, are very well done. They have their individual personalities and I like their interactions with HYX. Sadly, for me, the representation of women is severely lacking but that's the par for these kind of novels. Even the one female character I thought would end up as a good friend to HYX ends up betraying her.... which is really sad and annoying tbh. I haven't read past chapters 400+ so I might be wrong, but I really felt like HYX needed a female friend!

6. The ML. On first glance, he seems like the typical ice berg ML. And he is, tbh. But the difference is that the author made him a truly cold person - he doesn't suddenly out of nowhere fall in love w/ the MC and become an obsessive pe*vert, it takes time for him to not only fall in love with her but to trust her. There were small hints all along tbh for how he slowly falls in love w/ her, but if you aren't careful, you might get annoyed and decide to drop this. Actually in my opinion, the one who falls in love out of nowhere is HYX - I got really annoyed that she seemed to fall in love w/ him because of his looks, but whatever, in the end she also does truly fall in love with him I think.

The reason I still don't like LFY as much is because...I feel like the author doesn't truly give him enough good points - like yes, he is very capable and strong and domineering.... but he is also very cold, selfish, and callous and ruthless to almost anyone..... like, I would've liked to see him have a softer side [and NOT just to HYX] or learn to be kinder, but that never happened until what I've read. Because to me MLs that are cold and a**holes to everyone except the MC are boring and overdone at this point - and are also the kind of man I would never fall in love with nor would I support anyone in a romance w/ the guy. And thus, it makes it hard for me to see how a modern woman with her priorities straight would fall in love with such a man.

7. Age difference. To many people who read these types of novels, that's usually not a big deal. To me, however, it is and that's ultimately why I dropped this. I began reading this when I was 17 / 18, at an age where I wouldn't see it as that big of a deal for a 16-18 yr old (HYX) to be with a 23 yr old (LFY, altho at the time I thought he was 20). But now that I'm 21 myself, the thought of a minor or even just a 18 yr old being w/ someone already in their early twenties (21-24), makes me shiver and want to vomit. Especially if the older one is a man. And no, just because it's in ancient times, doesn't make it okay or justified - age differences btwn minors and adults are never justified no matter the era. And I just can't age up HYX, personally it doesn't work for me that way.

All in all, there's much more I could say but I still feel like this story is one of the better ones out there, even if there are points as I explained above that weaken the story overall. <<less

If you got to around chapter 150 and still feel like this novel is not to your liking then stop reading. If you didn't get beyond the 100th chapter and feel like it's not for you try to power on, this novel really picks up after the first 150 to 200 chapters. (Note how many of the negative reviews are on less than chapter 100.)

This is definitely one of my favourite novels, not only in this particular genre but overall. The characters are human, sensible and smart. Even when... more>> they act s*upid and say stuff they shouldn't have it's an understandable human reaction, which is probably my favourite part.

The FL is not some super human for the future who knows everything and beats everyone up. She clearly has modern sensibilities but is also making an effort to adjust her attitude to the time she found herself in. Her abilities compliment the ML nicely. One of her best qualities is definitely her cunning mind. She navigates the court with amazing skill and a sharp tongue without relying on ML for every little thing (even though he does come to the rescue whenever she finds herself in a bind... well almost always).

Also, despite ML being a giant ice cube he is simply adorable. When the Great Thawing begun I was positively giddy with happiness. It's well worth it! <<less

I couldn't thank the translators enough for all the sleepless nights since stumbling upon this novel. Well I actually stumbled upon the C-drama Legend of Yun Xi, my first Chinese drama ever. I have seen too much kdrama the past years with the same plot over and over again. So Legend of Yun xi was like a fresh start for me. Then I learned that it was based on a webnovel so I searched and have been reading for the past month already.

So far, I enjoyed every chapters. To Ruyi... more>> and Khuja you've been doing a great job with the translation. The novel itself is very intriguing, there is never a dull moment. Also, the events and characters in the story are well plotted. I can say that the novel is much better. I'll be waiting for the rest of the chapters to be released even if it will take forever. Anyway, there is fun in reading it over again, right? Hehehe. <<less

Many PoV and scheme you can see through it and how the main couple build their relationship and improve their attitude towards each other for the best. So I have finished reading until the latest chapter and I must say... this novel does not live up to my expectations.

It started out really great, but as the story progressed it became kind of dragged out and all over the place... I felt like the story lost the exciting feel at the beginning.

I think what I dislike most is the unrealism. I mean, even after being married for so long, how can they still not do it, and the MC justified it because they are married only "in name".... more>> That is not how arranged marriages work, in the past or even now.

The romance progresses extremely slow. If you hate turtle-speed romance, skip this novel. <<less

Overall:

Average. Not good, but not too bad. It's the type of novel that starts great, but gets worse as chapters go on. Oh, and the teasers are without a doubt a reason why I continue to read this. Great job, translators.

Characters:

As many other romance chinese novels, the male lead is described as a cold, ruthless god with awespiring emperor aura and handsome looks from heaven EVERY TIME HE APPEARS. The male characters have a bit of depth, but that's it. Any female is a b*tch and if she... more>> meets with the MC, she surely will try to do everything to fck the MC.

Also, no matter how this "god" treats her, she will think "What I was expecting from him?", then one chapter later will have forgotten what he did (or not did), because of course: handsome man can be forgiven no matter what.

Story:

From the description she looks pretty cool, but any trouble is mostly waiting for the male characters to help or save her.

Should you give it a chance?

A: As you can see from other reviews, some love it, while some find it average. It is worth to take a quick look. <<less

This novel is definitely your choice if you like intelligent characters. The female character is cunning and has a natural flair for politics. Male lead is cold but surprisingly romantic on the inside.

Pace of the novel is a little slow and you're in for a hell lot of drama. Seriously.

The only thing I don't like about this novel is the never ending chapters. I love the novel, really, but I would have preferred it to be shorter.

P.s. The original novel is just as good as the translate version, if not,... more>> better! <<less

My rating might be a little harsh, but I started reading this novel because it looked promising with all the high reviews but it turned out to be incredibly disappointing for me.

I came here after reading Stunning Poisonous Doctor Princess, which I noticed bears a lot of similarities to this novel, except I liked that a lot more.

Here are the similarities:

    • Novel starts off with the MC getting married
    • MC has an unsightly appearance due to poisoning, but heals it herself
    • MC has this poison-detecting system (which also provides her with ready-made solutions in this novel) embedded into her mind
    • ML is the classic cold, unfeeling man with heavy influence who also has tricks up his sleeve (which makes him as OP as the MC, but just society-wise)
    • Slow-burn romance
The MC for PGC doesn't have any heaven-defying medical skills; she only has an advantage due to transmigrating from modern times. She's heavily reliant on her system for all the problems she and the ML face (which all happen to be poison-related, for some reason? Feels like they're just there to help the MC show off her usefulness and skills) but shows no sign of trying to upgrade her personal skills or circumstances, unlike in SPDP where the MC actively takes action to guarantee her survival by carrying out elaborate backup plans in case life in her husband's territory becomes less than ideal.

And the romance: I dropped this because they weren't going anywhere, and the random kiss scene that appeared out of nowhere but still made the MC go 'What the hell? Though I kind of like it' was the last straw for me. I get that it's meant to be slow-burn, but slow-burn doesn't mean barely any progression for 200+ chapters. The author tries to make up for the lack of communication by telling us what the MC and ML (along with reactions from random people whenever the ML does something that he "normally wouldn't do for anyone, much less a girl he was reluctant to marry") think from their perspective, but that's it. Whenever I think it's finally going to move, the ML pushes her away but the MC always tries to find a (somewhat shallow) explanation (= how attractive the ML is) to stay and somehow fall harder in love with him. It's a classic trope of tsunderes pushing and pulling, though this process has been rinsed and repeated so many times that it's just painful to read. Plus, I can't tell why the ML has feelings for the MC. Whenever they talk about each other, it's always how he thinks her poison skills are useful, and how she thinks he's attractive. There's no notable cause to warrant the reasoning behind why he's suddenly so agreeable with her when he's meant to be some unfeeling Greek god who doesn't give anyone, much less women (yikes) the time of day.

Another thing I don't understand is the many reviews commending her independence. She stands up for herself when she faces biased or unfair injustice, but she's also incredibly dependent on her poison system which lowkey does all the work for her at this point, and the benefits the ML's title gives her. That's a little contradictory, no? In the reviews, she's also praised for not being overpowered and facing realistic problems (well, as realistic as scenarios in these novels can be), but that's the thing: she won't be able to handle anything more. She's not a fighter nor a schemer: she's just a mediocre doctor who needs her poison system to help her get out of every problem she faces. Take the system away from her and she'll become a side character who has proficiency in poison-coated needles but an inability to properly protect herself. She wouldn't be able to stand by the ML's side as a subordinate, much less this grand love interest who can bring him out of situations even the best of his people have no solutions for.

Unlike in many similar novels, the ML isn't some pervy creep (who was supposedly this haughty person of power but is warm only to the MC) with a glib tongue and randomly touches the MC; however, he's cold and uncommunicative to an unreasonable extent where even if I were to try to find reasons for it, they still wouldn't make any sense, which makes the romance all the more unusual.

Extra brownie points given to the translations though :)

TLDR; Not worth the hype, though the plot isn't all that bad. The MC is lacking compared to the MC's of other rebirth/transmigration novels (e.g. Shen Miao from Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage, Jiang Ruan from The Rebirth of An Ill-Fated Consort, Lin Mengya from SPDP) that don't deal with martial arts and more on plotting schemes because the MC of this novel isn't a fighter (nor is she much of a schemer oof) but someone who only has poison skills to aid her husband in his goals.

If you want to read a better executed version of this novel with romance that isn't so stiffly-written, I'd recommend Stunning Poisonous Doctor Princess.

Okay, I'm much more willing to believe the negative reviews over these positive ones. Seeing as the negative ones actually go into detail of what they didn't like, while the common consensus of the positive reviews is "She's not OP! She has to struggle to get everything uwu". As if struggling MCs suddenly make a story more interesting, especially ones where these "struggles" keep the MC static throughout the story. Yeah, I'm going to lean that the negative reviews are a lot more accurate than the positive ones. This is... more>> obviously not worth the slog to read through 1, 000+ chapters (Ooooo boy, did I shudder looking at the number of chapters here... couldn't be me reading all that!).

The MC seems to be the type to be constantly bullied, attempts to be clever only for it to blow up in her face constantly with no signs of her taking things into her own hands to fix it. The ML only acts like it once in a blue moon, and only if he feels like it. The MC's brain hole seems to grow wider with every RARE occasion the man deigns it worth saving her s*upid ass. Her enemies are left healthy and able-bodied (by her own hand, mind you) enough to threaten her life another day.

This story is just dumb. Thank you to whoever put so much effort into translating, I guess. Though I'm sure there were some worthy stories they could've exerted their talents upon than this tr*sh heap. <<less

Initially I quite liked this story. Until cannon fodders and Han Yunxi's admirers began to pile up. This is really annoying and typical.

"The FL is notorious? Don't worry.. We have steady supply of cannon fodders that would raise her reputation and cultivate her relationship with the ML!!!"

After seeing their happy ending, I couldn’t forget about the sadness about those other cannon fodders. They had been portrayed as hateful people who deserved what happened to them. But ultimately it was unnecessary. The ML and FL could cultivate their relationship by going... more>> through hardship together. Those girls could have been Han Yunxi's friends and have their own stories.

I really don't like so many cannon fodders in a story.. Especially when they die for someone they love.

If I end up offending other fans... please ignore the review. <<less

Wow, I got to a chapter 470 and I just felt so disgusted with the MC over the past few chapters, I had to drop the novel. Then I read through the NU reviews to see if anyone else felt the same way, and I realized @xuexin summed up my feelings beautifully in their review. In @xuexin’s words,

“I loved it. Yes, past tense. It was truly great, I read it for 3 days non-stop, BUT. Yes, but. I was disappointed. I was repulsed. Around chapter 465-470, I was so... more>> repulsed by how the main character acted that I finally put it down. It ruined it so much that I lost interest in reading. The main character was supposed to be strong and respectable, but just three chapters alone ruined it for me. Her character crashed to the ground if you asked me... She became so blind and thick skinned that she lost her character. She lost her charm. She became even more useless as the chapters go on...”

THIS. I wish I could re-iterate this a thousand times - I was so hooked on the novel up till 470, I was binge-reading it for days up till now. I get that the MC is supposed to be smart, scheming, “black-bellied” but over these few chapters, she suddenly becomes so greedy that
Spoiler

she exploits someone who loves her and is doing something for her own benefit (e.g. revealing that the ML lied to her over something so important to her, so major) but she not only ignores it, but goes out of the way to discredit him and steal his hard-earned passion/business. All because supposedly when she chooses to believe in someone (ML) she will believe in them even if the facts suggest otherwise.

[collapse]

I agree, this is a major loss of character for the MC. Her greed is absolutely disgusting, and her blind faith for the ML is also disgusting. Where is the independent, smart poisons doctor she’s supposed to be? We only have a selfish, greedy, head-over-heels fool here. <<less

Finally on 900th chapter. I started reading this novel because I really like Legend of Yunxi drama and read that the novel actually has different plotlines and ending so I ended up reading this.

By far I like it so much but if you can't stand slow budding romance I guess this novel is not for you, because it's like reallllllllly slow but when they actually together you'll have all the sweet scenes non stop. :)))) LFY x HYX is my favorite couple and they are just perfect together!!!

This story got on my nerves. At first it seemed to be a run of the mill transmigration story where a modern day woman gets inserted into the body of a so called 'waste good for nothing' but then shocks and amazes the world with her genius and tongue lashing and face slapping. This MC falls short of everything. She is a genius when it comes to poisons but she isnt all knowing and admits the same. The villains are all from the same mold and so far only 2... more>> characters have liked the MC while ALL the rest hate, disdain, despise her to death. The ML also has nothing likable about him. The faceslapping isnt even enjoyable because the MC takes as much damage as the villains. She has no power or authority but she loves spouting words like ' kneel before this wangfei etc etc etc' and the anatgonists spit in her face when she says that. I'm dropping this mediocre story because I dont see how it will get any better. <<less
