Luo Binghe is my child, he is baby and I love him.
For being MXTX first novel, is solid and shows a more relaxed and hilarious side, buuuuut that doesn’t mean it won’t break your heart and make you cry.

The characters are just hilarious, the comedy is on point and it’s easier to read than her other novels. I’ve read it so many times, and when I feel down I read some of the chapters that make me laugh.

Is full is miscommunication and misunderstandings, but they talk about their problems and at the end everything works out.

Im not a fan of the side plots, like the demons take over and (spoiler, someone’s dad and his issues) but they’re okay and engaging in some way.
SQQ is just... I love him, he is an idiot but he is my idiot.
As always, the romance is my favorite part, and how messy, chaotic and historical it is. It throws all you expectations out the window and makes me love the novel even more.

this review is edited... honestly I really liked the MC, the translation, the pacing, and the plot, but always had a... problem with the romance. At the time, I thought it was just me, but reading these other reviews really empowered me and I feel that I wasn't crazy after all: the development by the end is weird, it feels like SQQ was pushed into the relationship, and LBH is so ughhh
At tfirst, their misunderstanding makes sense (sqq was afraid that lbh was pissed so he kept his distance. he actually wasnt, but because of this he though sqq hated him and became pissed) , but after those things should have been cleared. SQQ should have noticed how much LBH grieved and was not actually mad at him. even tho SQQ was afraid of him and continued on saying those things, his actions proved otherwise, SO lbh should have used 1 braincell to figure it out. But they're both s*upid and continue with their misconceptions despite all evidence pointing to the truth.

Besides that, I really hate luo binghe's character in general, especially how he feels hes entitled to sqq's love. Sure buddy, I get it sucks when someone doesnt love you back, but when that happens to me I just cry listening to sad songs, not destroy the world. And after they get together they pretend like hes not a crazzy person and is a baby that needs to protect ahh f*ck off

I avoided Scum Villain after reading MXTX's other novels because the transmigration genre really doesn't interest me. Wow I am I glad I caved and gave it a read.

Scum Villain is hilarious and surprisingly sad and touching considering the set up. Shen Qingqiu's constant internal freakouts and snarky commentary are hysterical, but of course both the MC and ML suffer a lot throughout the story, especially poor Binghe.

It's a little rough around the edges compared to MXTX's other novels, but the extra chapters do a lot to fill in some... more>> of the gaps and really touched on some of the things that I wanted from the main story and I actually liked it even more the second time around.

Scum Villain is a quick read and well worth it, even if like me, transmigration and parody isn't your thing.

Even tho I've finished this novel months ago, the emotional baggage has yet to leave me. Everything about this novel is just splendid. The characters, the settings, the emotions... I'm speechless and yet so in love. Occasionally I would reread chapter 44 and then cry myself to sleep...

The story is cool and cute but the MC is so flawed it's not funny. He's objectifying the girls and the characters, he thinks of them as NPC's with pre-determined lines. He's a Damsel in Distress ™, a Mary Sue character. And, he doesn't have any empathy whatsoever, when people died he didn't care for it, even though those people were nice characters who helped him. Aka: GongYi Xiao, Zhuzhi-Lang.

The Protagonist is cute, in a puppy-like way. But he's just so immature and possessive that it's not cute anymore.

Shen Yuan, the MC is a dude who got transmigrated to the stallion novel: Proud Immortal demon way. He got thrown into Shen Qingqiu's body, and with the help of the system, he got all the benefits of the body, including immortality, the OG's outstanding spiritual power. This novel is a good read I would give it five, except:

The MC objectifies the girls. He doesn't care for anyone else, he's indifferent to the people who helped him in so, so many ways, even when they die. He's too much of... more>> a damsel in distress. He knows that there's plot holes, but he doesn't investigate what exactly happened in the novel that the protagonist didn't know.

My advice for anyone who reads this is, when you start reading the novel, don't take everything that Shen Yuan/everyone says about the original owner of the body on seriously, keep reading it, then especially, take notice of the 79 Shen Jiu and Yue Qi specials. The real backstory of the owner of the body. THEN, read the story again.

You'll find that the original owner of the body that Shen Yuan gets shoved into is a deep, complex character that didn't deserve what the world dished out on him. The OG was tough as nails, who came from a more difficult situation than the protagonist.

He clawed out from hell and crossed mountains of blades and seas of flames into tretcherous inter-sect relations to be where he was: a respected Peak Lord. It's also heavily hinted that the OG was r*ped by the protagonist when he was a human stick.

Please take need and remember, Shen Yuan is a privileged, straight man in his OG world that never faced discrimination/hardships in his life, he didn't even blink when it was revealed that some, ahem most ahem, of the Protagonist's wives were r*ped and forced. Please, remember that the MC is not perfect, nor any of the characters. Even Liu Qingge. <<less

Anyway, I loved this book! It was really amazing! I think this is the first or one of the first danmei that I've actually read -the first danmei I was into was Mo Dao Zu Shi but I didn't read the book or watch the shows; I just dived into the fandom.

I love this story so much, it is simple to follow not over the top crazy complicated, just a fun and entertaining read. Ah! It can get a bit angsty but I like that.

A great read, although the author's recent works seems better, this novel shows where the roots of her works lie, and this is one of the its roots. Of improvement.

After becoming a fan of mo dao su zhi, I gave this a try along with Heaven's Official Blessing (TGCF). Length wise, this is quite good since it is not too long like TGCF. SQQ is funny. LBH is not your usual ML who is perfect. LBH is actually a crybaby. Great story. Not edgy or embarrassing. It progresses very well towards the direction we look forward to, but of course not without a little bit of suspense. The system is on my top 10 loved systems list (not that I have one), not what you'd expect on most reincarnation novels, but s*upidly funny when Qingqiu interacts with it.

Well, the story has its twists and turns too. It might get you a little emotional for some parts if you're sensitive, but overall an amazing read.

Its soo funny, I cant stop laughing while reading this. And I ship a probably second couple ?.

I think their story is more to my liking.

Given that LBH is my fave son (along with WWX) out of MXTX children, I gave this story 5 stars. There are some part of the story that's really questionable and it's too short for my taste but Binghe's feelings for his shizun really moved me. He's just a maiden in a strong grown man's body, I want to adopt him lol

The approach in this story is different from MXTX other works but like the others, this one is definitely a must read.

I find it by MDZS, but i'll tell you. I fond this much more funny than MDZS and I love it! The transmigration fact is makes nicer, but the whole story is cool, and a love how (SPOILER) Shen Qingqiu goes to "what the heck you doing??!!" to "Not again!" to "Its not time for it.." to "Binghe...~" by the times Luo Binghe trys to grab him lol.
