THE. SUMMARY. IS. MISLEADING. I only read until Chapter 19 before I couldn't take it anymore because it was so boring, draggy, and unbearable.

The setting is a weird and awkward mismatch of sci-fi, spiritual and ABO. The sci-fi is just for convenience. The spiritual side is boring. The ABO was set up but barely touched on and was probably only included to allow mpreg.

On the spiritual/supernatural side, there are too many detailed and long paragraphs of religious practices which WOULD have been interesting if isn't just the MC mainly doing... more>> arts and crafts time to DIY poker cards and incense sticks.

I've read novels with triple the amount of chapters of this one that has the plot moving faster without compromising the peaceful, slice of life moments that added more charm to the story rather than stagnate it.

I won't even be reviewing the MC, ML, and the relationship separately like I usually do because they're just as all over the place as the plot. Possibly the only thing worth reading is the ML teasing and riling up the MC, but there are hardly any real or tender moments between them yet to balance it out. <<less

It has nothing to do with red flowers at all!! :'D That title is so misleading, that I legit waited for a fair amount of chapters when it'll come around, but the story is actually very different from its' summary and that's why I think it should be either changed or expanded.
Basically, the story involves the integration of long-forgotten metaphysics within highly-advanced ABO society due to our MC, Le Yao, jumping into the future and replacing the original omega, his gland is damaged due to drug he took, which was shoved to him by his scheming stepmom/son combo, he faces "unwanted" marriage, but decides that it's better to leave the house where he faces danger and rely on his designated alpha, not to mention that he actually needs to leave the planet. He moves to a planet, Huaxia, which now suffers from weather cataclisms and is stationed with his new husband, a young general, leading their empire's forces, Flying Wolf Devision. Le Yao isn't a simple character, in his last life he learnt metaphysics. His main purpose of travel was to find his deceased friend and later with his skills become independent, yet things don't really turn as planned, his skills soon come to light, because Huaxia is a place of fierce battlefield, holding unsolved grudges. That's how he finds his place in this new world with the support of his husband.
Now. The overall story won't be anything dramatic (no real knives), it's an easy, unnecessarily stretched and sweet story with little amount of potential drama, which is solved rather quickly, it's a rather interesting take/combo (ABO+ghosts, I mean). ALSO, it is a slow starter, there's a lot of not needed details before things get relatively interesting.
P.S. Red flowers have little to do with the story, it passes really quickly. What was author thinking naming it like that.

P.P.S. Personally I think this novel is enough to read once. And if you don't get hooked and don't find it interesting, stop and move to something else, you won't lose anything.

If you like something light & sweet to read, then you might enjoy this story.

Though it's not as fast as some BL, ML still took immediate interest on MC for I don't know what reason.

It's pretty much a bunch of fluff moments between ML & MC after they live together.

... more>> But I just can't fully immerse myself into the story with the insane amount of supernatural in this story.

For me, it just feels weird how they're in a futuristic setting with added ABO and yet it has a lot of focus on ghost, spirits, rituals etc.

It also give me the feeling that the author crammed too many genre in this story that some of those genre/tags doesn't mix up really well with each other. <<less

This story isn't much different from the author's other work [Begging You To Break Off This Engagement] other than a change of setting (the two MC's are almost exactly the same).

Overall, nothing too special.

The MC is shy/"cute"/lonely/physically weak/economically nonexistent/super beautiful/stereotypical "shou" in BL novels. Oh he also does housework & cooking even though they have a "butler" and smart robots. (Of course the ML does neither.)

... more>> The ML is OP/military general/tall/handsome/buff/physically strong/super rich/aggressive/overbearingly stereotypical "gong."

Also baffles me that this is the sci-fi future and the ML still smokes... CONSTANTLY. Literally he comes home from work, sits on the couch to smoke and wait for "his wife" to serve him dinner (wow a #rEaL man!!!)

Spoiler

The author clearly doesn't know about e-cigs (even tho China pretty much manufactures 99% of those on the market) or even the fact that 2nd-hand smoke is the worst...

[collapse]

Story started out all right and it was interesting to have the ghost/interstellar mixed setting (the part about the shipping fee was hilarious and great), but I wish the author put more thought into it. The sci-fi tech pretty much only exists if it's convenient for the author.

Like the author literally doesn't know of any other ways to raise relationship intimacy besides having the "feminine" MC cook delicious food and serve the "masculine" ML. lol.

I recommend this story if you particularly like slice-of-life, stereotypes, and very very "virtuous wife, " domestic MCs. <<less

I wish I had read the reviews before reading this novel. The title and synopsis are completely different than the actual story. Sigh. I was expecting a fluffy, slice of life type story. What I got was something else altogether.

The MC (omega) and ML (alpha) quickly fall for each other. Their interactions are sweet. They are the typical sweet MC and black-bellied ML. I wish the author had stuck to this ABO setting. The world setting though....

Spoiler

The MC and ML were gods in their previous life. Both were sons of Emperors of heaven and the underworld. Imagine ML as son of Zeus and MC as son of Hades. Their love was forbidden and they were separated. blah, blah. In the present life, all the other gods seem to have vanished. How? Why? the author did not bother to tell. Just that Earth suffered a catastrophe and all gods are gone. Now, comes the bummer. MC was a Taoist on Earth and can see ghosts. MC transmigrated into an omega, got married to ML and returned to Earth. There are billions of ghosts wandering around. Eventually, the MC and ML deal with these ghosts.

What bugged me was the way the living and the dead interacted. If you are allowed you meet the ghosts of your loved ones, will you ever move on? Whether its a lover or family or friend, life has meaning because its finite. Otherwise, whats the big deal about death? The way Han Mo studied Taoism from MC to see his dead lover, bugged the hell outta me. Oh well..

[collapse]

The supernatural part of the story was messed up. It was unnecessary and was illogical for the most part. Also, the MC is otherwise good in his work, but eventually becomes a housewife. Nothing wrong in being a housewife. But author-sama, could you not have given the MC character in an interstellar setting something different other than stereotype. Sigh.... <<less

I really struggled to finish this novel. To begin with, I have never been a fan of m-preg/ABO novels, but I decided to give this one a try because of the hilarious summary. And it turns out the summary had very little to do with the actual story.

MC: omega, good at all "wifey" duties (housework, cooking, laundry, groceries, etc.), an ex-taoist priest at a Buddhist temple that can summon and talk to ghosts

ML: alpha, general of an army, hobby: teasing his wife

... more>> Summary:

The theme is a crossover of sci-fi ABO x Eastern exorcism. The MC is an infamous omega that is forced into a marriage with the ML. The ML is the bully type of lover and likes to tease the MC. Like in a typical romance novel, the MC is often referred to as a white rabbit and the ML is referred to as a big bad wolf. After marrying the ML, the MC's special ability of summoning ghosts is revealed and the ML recruits the MC into the army. And thus begins the MC's adventure of building an undead army.

Overall:

The crossover of a sci-fi ABO x Eastern exorcism is not done very well, so it feels very awkward to read about. The MC's character also leaves much to be desired because the MC is truly too feminine. It would not have mattered if the MC was a female because the ML keeps on labeling the MC as "wife", "virtuous", "kind", "meticulous", "cute", and so on. If I did not know the MC was actually male, I would have believed that the MC is a wife from Ancient China that abides by the four virtues of womanhood: morality, proper speech, modest manner and diligent needlework. Yes, the MC actually did needlework in the story too. As for the ML, there is no character development as he remained the same shameless and bullying behavior throughout the story. I do not know what I was expecting from this story, but definitely not this. And personally, I just really did not like the MC's nor the ML's character setting as they seem to encompass the stereotypical "husband" and "wife" roles too much. Despite all this, I managed to finish the novel even though it left me feeling disappointed. <<less

what a deceptive summary ?... more>>
Spoiler

the flower thingy appeared only in a brief manner. As for the bullying mentioned, it was the ML who bullied MC first, well in a cute and funny way. Side. The side characters and ML were wary at MC at first but they warmed up to him pretty quickly in the story.

[collapse]

MC and ML had a good relationship, it has a supernatural theme to it but it is more on feel good supernatural rather than scary gruesome.

Also the story is more of a slice of life for me as there is not much conflict aside from MC's side of the family. MC has a stepmom, stepbro and biological father plus cliche and you get the conflict.

Over all a pretty straight forward feel good type of story

Also there is a sudden surprise in the story.

Spoiler

MC and ML are a couple in their past life and even had a child. Both also are some underworld noble.

This is a nice read. Contrary to the title/description, the little red flower agreement actually has very little to do with the story. The story takes place in a futuristic omegaverse post apocalyptic Earth. MC is something like a taoist, or has learnt the arts for it, and so is able to see and talk to ghosts.

The relationship between the two is cute and funny. MC is constantly trying to one up ML, but doesn't succeed and doesn't learn from it. In the beginning there is a lot of build... more>> up inregards to character setting, so the fluffiness/cuteness isn't that apparent, but after a few situations, the MC and ML end up liking each other and depending on one another. <<less

The author seems to choosing theme with roullete or prompt generator... Because it is reincarnation, to the modern futuristic world, in ABO world, happens to someone with superstition knowledge who can call ghost aka Xuanxue people... It's too interesting to miss!

ML seems wary with MC but at the same time... warming up to him? Idk when the summary will happen but that will be hilarious when it happens. Because the story is lightweight and fluffy :3

This story is overflowing with fluff. I really love the antics between the MC and ML and seeing how they tease and provoke each other. They're a really good couple with a healthy, fun and loving relationship.

The plot is very simple and straightforward (no angst or complex political intrigues here). There is a plot, but it definitely takes a backseat to the relationship between the couple.

I would recommend this for anyone who enjoys fluffy stories.

I really really really tried to finish it... and pushed myself.... now I regret it. It went from ok... to ridiculous. It’s like the author tried to mush everything together just to appear “new” and “unique”. But the story has hardly any plot, any character development, any depth or intelligence. It went from a bit of everything to completely drama with to much of everything. Couldn’t even stop at one kid and went straight to “triplets”....

Translations been great though and the only a reason it got 2 stars

Disgusting. I can't believe they are shaming oriMC, he looks exactly like the type of MC we would like. Going against an entire society by trying to destroy his own body for the hope of freedom only to get it stolen by a coward who despite having metaphysics powers doesn't dare to simply kick a door. What is this tr*sh author trying to say exactly?

Holy Sh*t that summary is such a lie LMAO! The ML practically glues himself to the MC from the start and the "red flowers" premise takes up approximately 1% of the storyline *sneezingface*. But okay, sham of a summary aside, I enjoyed the read! The main plot is... MC is a master of metaphysics (he can see spirits, draw talismans, etc) that died young and ended up transmigrating 500 years into the future (which is an interstellar era). Upon arrival, he finds himself immediately matched up to an Alpha called... more>> Xu Yao (the ML). He agrees to being said Alpha's wife so that he can go back with him to planet Earth, which had long been abandoned and left to ruin after several world-ending disasters.

The focus of the story is a bit mixed. It starts off being mostly about romance and exploring metaphysics. Then there's a bit of a "kingdom building" feel as the two main characters get even more involved with the undead community. Finally, it finishes off with action and family feels. So... you really get a bit of everything! I found the main CP quite amusing. The MC is pretty much your stereotypical shou!protagonist, but the ML was a bit more unique — taking on the foxy!gong route rather than the stoic!gong route, though he's still quite overbearing.

All in all, while I was super skeptical about this read for the longest time, I have no regrets now that I've finally read it. I learned a lot about Chinese culture and seeing it fused with the futuristic era was quite interesting! The TL over at CG is also quite good, so there's no reason not to give it a shot.

CHARACTERS: 7.5/10

When it comes to the characters, I like them, but they're also quite simple. This isn't a heavy novel to begin with, so there's not much complexity, just charm.

Le Yao (MC)

The MC is the prickly tsundere type that's overflowing in innocence. I found him quite likeable, and he meshed well with the ML.

Xu Yao (ML)

As mentioned, the author takes a bit of a different route by making the ML a bit more proactive in terms of interactions. He's quite a wily character, and that makes him have more of a presence than those MLs who end up looking more like an accessory than a love interest 🤧.

ROMANCE: 7.5/10

The romance was also quite simple in the end. I thought it would be an enemies-to-lovers kind of story (thanks to the summary), but it was a lot more simple than that since the ML expressed early interest — it was just the MC blocking things because of the ML's big "fish".

SETTING: 9/10

The novel wins the most when it comes to the setting! It's quite unique, and for someone who has very little knowledge about metaphysical traditions, I learned so much and gained a better understanding of certain scenes in other novels that I've read before (lololol). The interstellar era was interesting too. There was not much traveling, but I found it interesting to read about humans inhabiting a planet that is not actually fit for human habitation.

PLOT: 7/10

As mentioned before, the plot of the novel is quite mixed up. I enjoyed the kingdom building aspect lost, as well as the initial set-up. The last arc was a lot less interesting for me, but I did still complete it in the end!

RATING: 3.88/5

Although my rating might not seem high, this is actually quite normal for me since I'm very picky. I really like this novel, but it's definitely not perfect! If I had to point out what I loved most, it would be the setting and the banter between the main CP — I can recommend reading the novel for those two aspects alone~ <<less

Why is this tagged as drama, this is hilarious. The MC is not afraid of seeking death ever since they are married. I LOL everytime he ran his mouth. Imagine a technologically advanced omegaverse being besieged by superstition even the cast themselves cannot believe it. And when the poor subordinates get goosebumps due to "lowered temperature"... LOL.

Quite easy to MTL, I don't mind reading in advance since I am still able to pick out the pranks the couple does on each other every now and then. I also appreciate that... more>> the couple took time to develop their relationship into something more than cohabitation. The gradual affection despite being omegaverse seemed more natural and good-paced for me. The mild face slapping slag relatives is nice too.

Spoiler

I am happy that MC gradually won over his husband's army with his own efforts by being himself. The lotus stepmom and the green tea bit*h brother will get their face slap later, just be patient. The interstellar!netizens won't disappoint us readers lol. I also find it amusing that even the general and his technical head joined the trolling fun.

[EDIT:]Alright as for the title it will come in the middle. Perhaps the reason author used that as title is that part is like the turning point of their relationship. For those that still cannot understand,

3.75/5* - TOO MESSY

This novel was quite different than what I expected and not in good way. I already knew it has nothing to do with collecting little flowers from other reviews, but that wasn't what bothered me.

I didn't like the mix of supernatural (ghosts) with Interstellar and in the end also Chinese fantasy (gods) in this story. A 'normal' ABO interstellar story suddenly became so fantastical, giving MC and ML so many new abilities that felt out of place in this world setting. Also MC and ML got... more>> another identity in the end that made them not belonging to the current life in the interstellar world.

There is another story that has a mix of Chinese fantasy and Interstellar: Worship me, I can make you rich. But 'Worship Me' was able to fuse two genres into a well written story that was believable and enjoyable.

Here, in addition to mixing 3 genres they added: a war with aliens, evil family members, political power struggle, MC selling artifacts/lucky charm creations, reviving the death and building a commercial 'Underworld', reuniting with MLs dead parents, reviving planet Earth as a tourist place.... And don't forget the blooming romance, the buns and their reincarnation! It gave the whole story a messy feeling. Lots of plot points were touched upon, but not satisfyingly fleshed out, because there were too many.

Because of mixing interstellar, supernatural plus Chinese fantasy, the story almost felt like a super long dragged out QT novel in which the interstellar setting was an arc world and the Chinese fantasy (gods and underworld) setting in the end the 'main' story of our CP.

As a result I put the story on hold for a few months around chapter 25 or so (too detailed about the process of summoning the ghosts). After that I was invested again when MC's abilities were known to others as well and the romance was developing, but then lost interest again in the end after MC's and ML's real identities were reveiled (too fantastical). I skimmed lots of the chapters in 2nd half especially near the end, expect the parts about the kids. I enjoyed the screen time of the kids!

Also, I wasn't invested in the side CPs story. They didn't stand out, but were rather bland. The whole side cp felt like another plot point on top of so many that the author had on her check list that must be included. So, I skipped the side CPs extras.

I would like to tell the author that less is more! <<less

I really liked the first half of this novel. The ghost summoning and stuff was interesting and very different with the rituals and MC's diy projects. The translator also did an amazing job but including pictures of all the time dishes too.

Personally I feel that the title and Sunday with collecting little red flowers was a bit of a scam. It was only mentioned in one maybe two chapters and then forgotten about.
Spoiler

MC slept with ML as soon as his heat came and since that time, there was no hesitation to climbing in bed with ML again and again. Not that I mind, but I have to admit I was looking forward to reading about this ML general trying to do deeds to collect little flowers for the MC. Also, summary made it seem like ML was reluctant or tsun but ML wanted MC right from the start, no hiding it

[collapse]
.

I didn't particularly like the second half of the novel. Like, starting a whole enterprise, businesses and hotels in the underworld and setting aside special plots of land for undead housing seems odd when they're trying hard to repopulate earth for humans again. I don't think the ghost works would just fall apart if humans stopped giving offerings for 500 years. Took a star off for that because honestly I started skipping those parts. I think it's unrealistic that the Emperor would even support such activities. Like there's better things to be spent on with money.

Took another star off because
Spoiler

turns out ML and MC are not just op, they're literally Gods. So are their kids. Font know what the point of MC teaching his ghost skills are for when at the end the only people who can use it is the gods.

[collapse]

Also a little sad that the whole ABO thing couldn't get fully utilized in the novel. It feels like it was only used to set up the stage for why MC had to be married off and to explain why he's so soft and delicate and of course, the heat scene.

Overall, fun novel to start reading but kind of hard to read to the end.

The novel always stayed interesting so I finished it pretty quickly but it was also confusing, so it's better to read without thinking much about it. The flower thing only lasted 2 chapters in the middle then was never mentioned again so I have no idea why the name and summary are about it.

The novel is actually about ghosts and how MC, who is the only person that can communicate with them, shows ghosts to everyone else. But the ghosts can do a lot to make others believe in them... more>> without seeing them like manipulating their surroundings and some ghost even strangled a person so it's weird no one even considered the possibility of afterlife like that especially because MC travelled into the future.

The novel is so focused on ghosts that I didn't get enough lovey-dovey parts between MC and ML, the s*x is glossed over so there is nothing s*xual in it, the first time MC went into heat was outside and ML was far away so their marking happened on a field, and MC gave birth prematurely during a war so most of their special moments just are stressful and there is no s*xy time intermission.

It is a cute novel and enjoyable as the couple went on dates at times and were a little naughty at home so overall I finished it because I just wanted to see more of those sweet moments, not ghosts drama. If you like reading about spirits then I think you'll like it. <<less

I like first to read a couple of chapters and then I read the reviews. Well, my own impressions initially were quite positive, but the reviewers warned me that somewhere around ch.50 they would change. And it happened! For me, around chapter 54, it became unbearably boring, simply not interesting at all. Overall, this is a mildly interesting story, quite bland in writing, perfectly translated. It revolves around a prudish virg*n penniless MC, formerly a Taoist something, who transmigrates into the body of the most beautiful penniless male Omega in... more>> another world who is in arranged marriage with the most beautiful and gifted and h**ny young general, a billionaire male Alpha ML. Both are spiritually gifted, good people with great friends

Spoiler

... and the whole story revolves around building a profitable business with the underworld, the world of spirits, accommodating and respecting the spirits of the dead people, making a buck off them via grave robbing, employing dead soldiers in service of the living people for their protection, etc.

[collapse]

Overall the atmosphere built in this novel is soft, pleasant, kind, nurturing, a relaxed and pleasant reading without much stirring of passion or sense of humor, lots of teasing, but no humor where both would laugh, including the reader... until our couple start punishing the family of the MC for their past wrongdoings, the usual for the c-novels device of writing pages and pages of transcripts of chatter on the internet forums is introduced as a major part of the text. I just lost the drive to continue reading this. There is nothing to look forward to in that plot, and there is zero character development.

Spoiler

The prude MC keeps being prudish and keeps berating his husband for too much s*x drive, even as he is pregnant with the triplets and later with twins on top of those triplets, and discovers that he is not that much of a talent as a Taoist Master. The talented general ML displays even more talents at work and at home and in the underworld space and experiences even more s*xual frustration.

I spend half my time reading wanting to slap the ML to death, but aside from that it's a fairly interesting story so far.

The MC is somewhat of an idiot when it comes to anything to do with real life and relationships (as is often the case for "shou" in these things), and annoyingly easy to steamroll over, but skillful in his field (in other words, the spiritual). ML is probably caring enough but takes so much advantage and lies and cheats so outrageously I mostly just wish he'd receive... more>> divine punishment or something for all the annoyance he bestows on the reader. At least he's not a complete rapist so far, so guess that's already a high accomplishment considering the genre.

The story is so far less messy than some comments make it seem; both the scifi and spiritual setting have justifiable reason to be included, and they work pretty well for the plot. The minor characters are entertaining and there's enough things left covered to keep the reader guessing about future developments.
