The Villain Will Become Stupid If He Doesn’t Pamper Me

Pei Xian, who looks like the white moonlight (unattainable love) of the Villain, was going to be gifted to the Villain by his lover, Zhou Kai. Unable to withstand the betrayal by Zhou Kai, Pei Xian threatened to jump from the window of a 20 story building.

Si Yang, who died in the hospital full of wishes for a simple life, transmigrated into the body of Pei Xian. Pei Xian is a character in the 3rd rate novel he read above. He transmigrated at the scene where Pei Xian in the novel was about to jump from the window.

Gu Han, the “villain” in the novel somehow gained a system after his tragic end, returned to the same scene in the novel. The system helps him combat the protagonist’s halo of making the “villains” like him lose their IQ. Pei Xian is chosen as the system’s “battery”, so in order to charge the system, Gu Han must maintain physical contact with Pei Xian. Gu Han has no choice but to try and stop “Pei Xian” from killing himself.

So begins the story of a reluctant ML, pampering the MC.

ML is the only sane person here. It started out good then the storyline became a mess. No matter how I want to keep liking this I just cannot. I keep hoping for a normal day for them just for once but it never happen. Some scenarios arent even funny, it just feels so forced.

The ML is a cannon fodder in the story who got rebirth and got a system where in he has to complete task about the MC so that he can prolong his life.

The MC is a... more>> f*ck up mess that was sane in the first part and then became a air headed brainless character as the story progress. He doesnt have any common sense whatsoever.

The stuff that the system makes the ML do is f*cking embarrassing and so freaking confusing.

I thought this story has a good storyline since it looks cyte in the descriptions. Thr alpaca baby was cute in the beginning but it became CRINGY as time passes. The side characters taht you thought would be the sane one turns out to have brainholes too.

I'm sorry for the translator, it hasnt been translated whole, yet we have reviews like this. Maybe you just have this kind of taste but as a avid fan of bl without bias genre and subgenre this one really makes me disappointed. <<less

This whole story is... confusing.

The summary itself is confusing and impossible to understand. The only reason I started reading is because it's slash.

I highly recommend someone with knowledge of the story edit that summary or add a small explanation at the end of the official summary, but as it is, it's not understandable.

As for the story itself, it's even more confusing. The MC is transmigrated into a normal, modern-day universe (meaning it's not xianxia or ABO or apocalypse, etc) which he read as a piece of fiction. And yet, apparently... more>> we learn that the guy he is transmigrated into was a character who pretended to be pregnant to force his boyfriend to stay with him??

This isn't ABO, so male pregnancy shouldn't be a thing. So... it doesn't make any sense?

But the narrative tells us that the story the MC has been transmigrated into was really tr*sh, so maybe the whole 'but males can't get pregnant, so no one would believe that lie anyway' thing was just one of many plot holes in a bad story?

And also, it's really funny because at one point the bodyguards of the ML arrive with the ML, and they are described as 'black bodyguards'. So I'm thinking, huh, there aren't that many black people in China, and among those black people there would be a limited supply of bodyguards. Would there even be enough black bodyguards living in China near the ML to hire? Or maybe he got them from abroad? Is there a reason they're all black?

It was also a surprise as Chinese webnovels usually only have Chinese characters, and very few people from other countries or races.

Or maybe the author or translator meant 'black-clad bodyguards'?

To get back to the first chapter, a lot of it was very confusing. So many things were introduced at once that I was forgetting who was who and couldn't retain every snippet of information. At one point I was thinking, 'huh, so the MC has a system? Wait, no, that's not the MC's name. What was the MC's name again?' and I realized the ML is the one who has a system, not the MC. Probably the novel the MC transmigrated into was a transmigration novel with a system? Or the ML is another transmigrator who entered the novel at the same time as the MC?

A lot of my confusion is, in my opinion, more the author's fault than the translator, since it seems to be an issue with the way the story is narrated and how stuff is introduced. I think what would help is if the summary on novelupdates was a bit more clear and understandable, so new readers can start reading this story with enough of an understanding of the premise that they won't be as lost as I was.

The story seems promising so far, but the sheer confusion I was feeling means that it's not a five-star for me yet. I might change my rating as more chapters are posted, though. <<less

This is a good story which sometimes borders on crack and sometimes makes sense. ML is reborn while MC is transmigrated. ML fights everyday to save his IQ through the system, while MC's soul is injured leading to him being reallllly slow. So you can get what the first part of the novel will be like, both of them having low IQ, doing s*upid things etc. But as the story progresses, we see MC putting his brain to work and using various means to want to establish a secure future... more>> for their family. Though at one point I feel like everyone who comes in contact with MC starts losing their IQ. So every time, you find the 'only sane person', you'll find that you were wrong. I feel soooo bad for ML tho, poor guy just wants to live but is either pitted by the system or by MC.

This novel is good for a laugh, don't take it too seriously cause it's supposed to be funny, thanks to the translator for picking this up, I was waiting for it <<less

Did my best to redo the summary from the first chapter I read. It seems like a very interesting story. I would like to stick around for it. I think translator is doing their best. This story reads almost like a crack fic, but it does have structure.

The ML will sometimes break out of his seriousness to do silly things. The supposedly silly MC will sometimes revert to his elitist ways.

They are super adorable and fluffy so far.

After chapter 3, it's definitely much easier to understand!

I liked the ML, but MC is not my cup of tea at all. I think like other reviewers have said, a really big problem is the plot structure. It’s messy and often doesn’t make any sense. I guess the concept of ML having a system is unique but everything else is just a carbon copy of other novels.

The POV is written so that it's from the MC'S view mainly but it sometimes jumps to the MLs. The ML was given a second chance and the MC transmigrated into the novel but the ML is the one who has to do tasks. And they're all just doting on the MC. It's really funny!

Okay, first I thought the story is s*upid but then I read it and found out it's actually good. The story is about a reborn ML with a system that requires him to pamper MC (he's transmigrated). It's all cute and stuff especially ML is not your typical cold personality but more like childish in some instance. I like their interactions - MC looks cold in the surface (he has poker face) and may seem naive at first but he's not, before transmigrating he was a successful businessman so you... more>> know he's smart. He just acts that way because he wants to experience everything he hasn't tried to do because of his strict grandfather and people's expectation of him.

Anyway, people says it's confusing to read but it's really not. As you read on, the story will be clear. Also, there should be an Mpreg tag on this because it's a thing in the story (even if our ML and MC wouldn't have a child, apparently the translators gleamed that men can have children in this)

Edit: I'm on chapter 25, the end of free chapters, there's still no signs of Mpreg (the readers are waiting for that actually) but still, I'm staying. This story is so good!! The ML is so sweet and silly, I love their interactions and how he gets jealous. Also the MC is such a sassy queen, the green tea bit*h has nothing on the beloved MC. <<less

I was quite depressed and was falling deep so I quickly went to read smth and found this, YALL, I LAUGH ALMOST EVERY CHAPTER HAHAAHA. Had me chuckle and slapping my thigh lmao-

It really made me forget about what I'm sad about. The ML gong was hilarious. Its usually CEO Gongs being cold and aloof but this one has his boss time but he's laid back too, I still remember MC said smth over the phone and he was so happy he drove in S shapes on the road HAHAHAH... more>> 😂

Though it's just 23 chapters for now, this is one of the top 3 novels I want to be finished translated, it's too good, I want to laugh more! <<less

The theme of this novel seems to act in line with its title, s*upid.

Not only the ML or the villain, but even the MC is losing their brain.

Why the heck male pregnancy here is normal but there's no third gender or abo stuff, so what's this?

... more>> The system's task and how the villain tries to finish it are daringly ridiculous.

Alpaca as pet, and you can take it everywhere on the street even sleep with you on the bed?? Oh odnt forget, this alpaca is treated and called by MC as the villain's son. Just like a cat, but alpaca is a half human sized animal. I dunno if I will continue to read this. <<less

In short, the story of two reincarnated individuals who were serious hardworking businessmen in their previous lives decided to completely let go after being reborn.

Spoiler

The MC transmigrates in complete confusion with no system, but luckily knows the plot from a book series he used to pass the time before his death. It was the first guilty pleasure he allowed himself in his 28 years of life, so he remembers it pretty distinctly despite being a crappy novel. The ML has been reborn with a system whose true love is the MC rather than it’s low IQ host. Everyone has the responsibility to love Xianxian! They both have distinct goals. Si Yang/Pei Xian wants to experience the pleasures of the world he couldn’t have in his past life. (It was a pretty serious case of personality denial from his grandfather trying to mold him into the perfect heir.) Gu Han wants to triumph over his enemies, his unrequited first love who treated him as a spare tire and the protagonist who took everything from him.

This actually had some potential, but the execution is terrible. It’s like the author decided to let loose as much as her characters. MC is one of the few characters with real intelligence, but leaves it offline on purpose for the majority of the story. No, it’s more like he tossed it to be trampled by a certain harem of alpacas. The herd even gets a serious cameo and might even be more intelligent than their human counterparts. It’s like a serious character got recast as a Gary Stu on steroids, and loves it!!! The story has enough wealth exaggeration that the hyperboles gained spirituality and are cultivating to ascend. It’s a cat fight between nouveau riche A, B, and C.

The story is meant to be about restoring the villain’s IQ and then living the good life. They have the good life pretty early. The thing is, Gu Han with intelligence is still pretty simple minded when it comes to daily life. The protagonists halo makes him braindead when it comes to business related to the Scumbag, so the story seems to be about blocking further degradation rather than anything like improvement.

[collapse]

It’s still pretty funny if you want to laugh at a cast of only sand sculptures. The last half of the plot also has decent twists. <<less

Ngl so far this story seems hilarious.

That said, ML fell in love too inexplicably; he's tired of the system forcing him to spoil MC, but then one day he wakes up and every smile makes him happy (not related to tasks or benefits) ???

MC's character seems very fun, although the author tries a lil to hard to make him seem "highly competent".

... more>> Side note, the translation isn't too great, but the story is a lot of fun so far so if you can push past it I'd still recommend.

Edit: I did MTL up to c31 and as expected it's hilarious. Even MTL I laughed a lot several times. XYH ends up blowing himself up lol but I didn't get to ZK's plot yet. I hope this gets translated!! <<less

this is a very cheeky novel and is meant as both a comedy and satire. The book the MC transfers into is complete tr*sh, nonsense of the worst kind, and on top of that, the ML is reborn (which was not in the original tr*shy novel the MC read). At first, I didn't like the MC because he seemed like the typical s*upid, small animal shou but he reveals his true colors as time passes (his soul was injured when crossing over and it takes a while to heal). The... more>> downside for me? This is Chinese BL so the MC and ML are both somehow blank slates as far as love is concerned despite their age/ life-experience
Spoiler

an unrealistic aspect of many CBL that I've come to dislike a great deal and it usually brings down my rating. All these 30-40yo virg*n ML and 30-40 yo virg*n MC in a 20yo body make me really treasure the few stories I've found where the MC/ML are already experienced and know what they want and go after it in a straight forward way without all these misunderstandings, blushing, coy faces and stammering voices.

[collapse]

my final rating was 3.5 I raised it by.5 because of the ending. <<less
