Okay, this is my first ever review here on NU.

I've read numerous transmigration novels and I think this one is pretty good. It's not cringy or should I say not as much as the others.

The FL is not a Mary Sue or too OP. She's actually a novice and gladly accepts the teachings of others.

The ML on the otherhand is a bit OP if you think of his characteristics. I mean he's the son of the richest person, so money is not a big deal. Though, what I like about... more>> this ML is he is not overbearing and domineering. He actually respects the FL and follows her decision and guides her.

I have other things to say too but I can't recoup enough of my braincells right now so I'll stop here. <<less

This novel is one of my fav now!! Really love this. The writing style is very simple and I like it like that. Finished reading until the latest chapter in one day and I am really looking forward to the next chapters!

It's... okay. The base story is actually pretty good, but the pacing really needs some work. There are large stretches of the novel that just go on and on and on with no real substantial movement of the plot. I found myself skimming whole chapters with little happening.

Currently on my list, well still early to judge but I hope this will be a good one.

Love the FL and ML, waiting for their development.

I think for those who prefer light romance would love the story.

However, there is sth bothering me for a while *just my opinion, why does the author keep mentioning the brand of products over and over again like Hermes and others, I know that the author want to emphasize on how expensive the items are but yeah, seems materialistic.

One of the better Modern Day Romances. Unlike what was implied in the Summary, the FL and ML don't actually figure out that she has to spend money on herself, so for awhile the ML still have accidents that happen to him since she spends money for him.

The romance in this story is actually pretty well paced and logical, not as abrupt as some people may think. It may be because of the subtlety in the writing plus MTL, but the ML does show signs very early on about his... more>> interest in her/the difference in her personality. The drama wasn't overdone and any revenge were handled very logically.

I absolutely love how the ML and FL actually knew each other from a previous world/life and the ensuing romance from that.

I will have to say that the FL backstory isn't as well fleshed out as the ML's, so by the end you still didn't really know much about the FL's backstory/history.

I also don't feel that the FL abruptly changes her personality. When the two first met, ML was very cold and standoffish feeling, so of course the FL would reciprocate and wouldn't put too many feelings/care. But I feel that as the two got to know each other, she started caring for him more and showed more of her real self.

Just based on the fact that this story has no misunderstandings between the couple, the drama were well placed and well paced, the antagonist were realistic and well handled. It's definitely worth a read since it's only 110 Chapters and can be read in 1 to 2 days. <<less

I really don't mind a novel full of cliche, but this one... how to say, the writing is dull, unimaginative and straightforward. In some context, being straightforward in writing is really not that bad, but as it is mostly dialogue, it leaves almost no room for imagination where and what the background scene should be.

The MC and ML are equally dull, with a fast-moving relationship that is really not that developed well. It feels quite abrupt as the main CP suddenly felt 'love' or 'my heart is beating so fast'... more>> kinda thing. Lots of fillers too.

This would probably be a good read for no brain read <<less

This is so sweeeeeeettttt!!!

Few chapter bfr final, I cried. I really can't handle it. The way they are so in love, I'm so jealous but also makes me happy.

I suggest everyone not judge this until the ending. This is really amazing story. You need to read until the end why their relationship is so smooth and deep like that.

Still going to rate this 5star because I enjoyed reading at the 90% of the story, but near the end I got bored. I don't know maybe because I MTL-ed it?

The two main characters is an actor and actress, but I haven't read them filming? At the early chapters yes the filmed but Gu ren character as film emperor didn't give justice at all. Author decided to place that title to him but didn't show us how he deserves that title. Then author decides to make the two MC for... more>> the whole story in a variety show.. Like what? 😀 I didn't even see MC endorsed, early chapter yes but even after the end the author only mention how so many brand want her but didn't 'show' us her work?
Don't make me start on her only leading role Anorexia.. Where's the synopsis of the movie? What's the plot? There's too much thing to say about how little the author mentioned about the two main characters occupations.
Well, anyway this is a good novel. I just got bored in the end. <<less

At first I thought the synopsis was interesting, BUT I am very disappointed in the translation. The translation of chapter 23 is only equal to chapter 8 of the original novel. The translation isn't very fluid either. I am currently in the original chapter 13, but I would honestly have to pass reading this. The story does not give justice to the synopsis, and the so called "heroine" isn't even one bit of a heroine, but a villainess from the start. I would not recommend reading this tbh.

it is pretty addictive at first but it drags like h*ll. Found myself getting angry at how long some of the chapters were without presenting any new information. Could have edited this thing in half and not lost anything. in the end I had to drop it because I just didn't have time to wade through more chapters of cliche nothing scenes.

Yes they stared at eachother... good job. Yes it is dark again to show off the MLs fatal flaw... great. Yes they're perfect and everyone regrets ever saying anything... more>> bad about them... awesome. Wake me up when something new happens. Do they even do anything besides shop and be perfect?

Renting out a shopping mall so 2 people & their body guards can shop undisturbed by paparazzi is the s*upidest "rich" thing I have ever heard.

1) if you are rich invite the brands to your house, hire a personal tailor, or go to a specialty botique. why pick a place designed to be where middle class people buy factory made things en mass?

2) its not secretive. 100s of people are going to notice the mall is sudenly closed and ask why. idk why the paparazzi havent... especially when all it took was a side character looking through the window to see the FL "secretly" shopping with the "richest woman in the country"

3) in adition to all the empolyees of specialty brands that they paid to just hang out in a closed mall while 2 people shop, did they also pay the employees of kids clothing stores and gag gift stores? Did they make sure the employees of Hot Topic stuck around in case they wanted a Disney themed faux leather choaker?

I wasnt impressed by any of the "rich person activities." not very creative. feels like the author can't think of anything to do with money but buy 100s of gucci bags

... more>> Because it's a good premise but the story is just boring. I don't feel the romance at all. It's been so many chapters and I'm still bored.

Maybe it'll get exciting later but I can't hold on anymore. It feels like my brain shut itself down and would melt if I kept reading. Like when one goes to school and is sitting in a class they hate. It was just so tedious to even try to involve myself in the novel.

Many people liked it but I just wasn't a fan. <<less

I don't believe this novel deserves its 4.0+ rating. I've only read like 30 or so chapters, but I already know I won't be reading further.

What in the world is this thing about hands??? Like did the author just make literally all the netizens have a hand fetish or something? This is literally one of the most ridiculous things I've seen that the author just pulled out of their ass.

By the description you can already tell this will be a dumb novel so don't come here expecting something that actually makes sense. Reading dog blood novels is my guilty pleasure though. There are waaaaayyy too many plot holes, like since the beginning. The characters aren't remarkable, they are flat and act a certain way just for the sake of following the author's progression but no human would act that way. I doubt anyone will genuinely like this and consider this a good work unless they are young girls or... more>> new to these novels. Even then I think it was quite entertaining, it's good for binge reading, just don't take anything seriously and ignore the plot holes. So I don't want to be too harsh on this, I already had low expectations and just wanted to relax, it managed to be decent I guess but it's the typical novel and the characters have the same flat personality as other novels of this type. If you want to get your share of a somewhat satisfying read then feel free to read it tho. <<less

Warning: very bland there is absolutely no character development throughout the entire book. I am seriously considering dropping this novel. There are no emotions and everything carries on with too robotically. SPOILER! For instance, her former company exposed her engagement with the Song Lie and her response was to calmly sit down and wish for Gu Ren. No minor panicking or stress, just casually staring into space. At this point it would be better if some form of emotion was shown even if it means crying a little and showing... more>> vulnerability. However, our protagonist is not built like that, she’s a steel ball of joy that somehow only flutters slightly every twenty chapters. It’s those novels where the author wishes for their protagonists to have every superpower known to man then magically fall in love and birth twins with the same powers (over dramatic but you get the point). <<less

Really one of the most dumbest books I've ever read but it's good if you want to pass the time.

There's honestly no suspense with this one and some of the logic doesnt make sense. As a tldr, male lead becomes interested because the MC, who has no need to be transmigrated/reincarnated since it adds nothing to the plot but justify why she knows what's gonna happen, decides that she doesnt want to spend the money that the Gu's are literally begging for her to use for herself. Like common man... more>> lmao what is up with her common sense - I mean she's not unlikeable, her logic is just set as a mary sue that makes no sense.

All in all, feels like a story written by someone just starting out or trying out a story with the most common of common tropes. If I was going to go with a story with pretty much the same plot, I'd go with spending the villains money to extend my life

@Drelith's review pretty much sums up the plot, I would add that the villainess's background as the main character of the og book doesnt even make sense - like how could an MC be that mean on purpose lmao <<less

The story reads like a Wattpad story. Even at the beginning part of the novel, it feels like a huge chunk of the plot is missing and the pacing of the story is extremely weird.

For the main leads, while their characters started off strong, they quickly become two dimensional and extremely boring.

tr*shy soap opera vanity novel.

The story tries a bit too hard to be emotionally deep when it's shallow AF.

Narration is overall very on the nose, treats readers very idiotic, and is annoyingly repetitive in making statements/points/shining neon signs on foreshadowing.

Definitely not meant for re-reads, gave it a 2 star after attempting to chew through 100 chapters, and now looking at it again 2 years later at my second attempt to finish this pile of mess, the story became even more unbearable. I hate how parenthood is portrayed here, like in so many others. Filial piety is a social concept, it depends on how the individuals treat their offspring and build up a relationship with them that makes families work out, you don't automatically get a good parent badge by conceiving and pushing out a baby.

Or do the bare minimum of satisfying their financial needs and wants, but neglect everything else on the emotional and educational front. OgFL (magpie sibling/AKA villain) turns out to be a brainless cannon fodder who has bad morals and values only money. I absolutely loathe this pattern, it's mostly always the parents' fault.

The connection between mother and child isn't magical when they barely know each other. And what kind of a spiritual connection is the mom feeling there anyway, the soul is a different one.

The MC has a strong white lotus image. Bullied by the magpie sibling, always apologetic towards ML, when she causes harm without thinking it's all forgiven because of how sorry she is and how bad she feels to the point you had to feel bad for her even though she is the one not reflecting at her own mistakes.

Spending money on ML even though both she and ML were told to spend it in the right place and the wrong way would be counterproductive as his very recent accident has proven.

Yet both continue down the path of doom multiple of times till they had to be told AGAIN for them to realize "Oh right, he did say that, we were told of this fact." ML, as a skeptic, can be put aside. MC, however, knows of his death in 1 year, believes in the misfortune and change of karma somewhat after the first one or two accidents, but continuously drags ML into accidents by spending more and more money on him. Even going as far as taking him bungee jumping/cliff diving (some kind of extreme thrill stuff).
So coupled with the fact how nonchalant she was about ignoring the fortune teller's warning/advice and her taking him to dangerous places (it's now yesterday's news that he's accident prone, why getting him to the edge of the cliff or into the seas???) her intentions seem far far more darker than one lets on. I can't get it out of my mind that she just wants to be a black widow.
