I couldn't stop crying and laughing and smiling. Like, oh my God. It's a bittersweet novel so far that only now is exploring the romance aspect and still facing twists and misunderstandings! Our MC and ML are adorable together, being completely in the other's trust even if it does strain at times or is put in doubt by both of them.

It's sweet to see how their relationship shifts from long-term companions to budding lovers that are fumbling through their emotions. I feel that this BL better explores the human nature and psychology when faced with trouble. If you're looking for a novel that will send you on a whirlwind of emotions, sweet interactions between the MC and ML, and the persistence of hope and will, this novel is yours to cry over. <<less

when the MC and ML got back together after he got back his human body, made me annoyed because of the scandal with the celebrity. And some parts when the MC was still a dog but lusting over the ml, which I found incredibly odd.

Very good story!! Featuring a disabled ML! Great chemistry between the couple!! I still think their views are a little too opposite to work but at least they have a solid foundation of support so it’s good.

I love both MC and ML! Both are smart and have their own goals. I still prefer Devil Venerable Also Wants To Know more (it’s a masterpiece, IMO).

Good plot, nothing crazy, not too much intrigue. Relationship and character development is the focus. A good read!

I really enjoyed this story. I have to say this now; there's no beastiality in this story.

The story was fluffy, heart wrenching in some parts with very little angst. The characters are mature, especially the MC's. His powers of deduction are really good.

Overall, it's a really good story.

This story really made me cry a lot. And lots of dog food spilled along the story which will bring you dying of sweetness. This melts my heart so much that I couldn't help but yearning the next chapter every time I finish one.

It's a good story and there were several parts earlier on that made me tear up. Author was really good at striking the right notes when depicting just how shitty some family relationships can be.

I did think the story started weakening towards the end because the author didn't really know where to go from there. Like conspiracies and conflicts got resolved, but it felt a little too contrived and shoehorned in. Like the author wanted one final dramatic buildup before the characters could get their happily ever afters, but it... more>> never felt like the characters were at any risk.

On another note, actually found it interesting how closely the main couple resembled the couple from the author's other work, Mr. Melancholy Wants to Live a Peaceful Life. And it also has a character who turns into a dog. If you haven't checked out the author's other works, you should! <<less

I’m just gonna say, read every work by this author, they’re all wonderful and multifaceted. And no misogyny or pigeonholing. This story drained me a little emotionally, but I think it was the perfect outlet I didn’t realise I needed. And a wonderful translation 🥰

Heart-wrenching pain and endless tears, yet amidst this story of suffering and growing up there’s a beautiful love that... actually just makes me cry even more lol. Very well written story, surprisingly realistic despite the themes of crossing time and bodies (which make the sad parts a dozen times sadder). I love the characters and plot equally. My eyes are swollen and sore but I definitely feel satisfied after reading, I would like this on my bookshelf.

I loved the front. But the back... hm feels somewhat disjointed and I think it could have been more potential for twists and turns inside. Probably cause I like a little bit of excitement and pain hahah

This book is filled with melancholy for most part but the relationship between Big Black and Hang Hang was pretty much all the healing one needed to get through this.

I loved this story of companionship and devoted love, and what better metaphor of love is there, than between man and dog.

... more>> A story like this can easily become cringey, but I applaud the author for keeping the realism and sweetness without warping the relationship.

The ending was rather abrupt for me but I don't think it was the main point of this story do it didn't really bother me too much. Ideally you should read this book just for the MC and ML, who in my opinion are one of the best couples I've read about.

The title and summary honestly turned me away for quite some time because ya know: puppy protagonist, and I didn't try starting this novel until I was really really bored. I ended up binge reading it all in one go. I loved how both MC and ML had actual brains and how they both pampered each other so much. I did get really emotional because of all the suffering ZH went through, but I was so so so happy for them because they had each other to fall back on.

Plotwise, the story is getting better. I love how the story explains the side of shou. His suffering is really sad. I just don't like those hints of bestiality.
