His personality is abrasive and annoying, but I'm not sure how much of that is true and how much is him putting on an act. One thing is for sure - he's definitely a pe*vert lol! <<less

Like many transmigration novels, the MC is oppressed and used like a rag but the 2D villains later find out that the MC is OP.

This typical formula is used in the beginning but as you continue to read, the plot becomes more complex, to which, is a unique component in this genre.

However, this story does have its flaws; mainly concerning the writing and villains.

The writing is too straightforward. As a person who has read many transmigration novels, there's a delicate line I feel you need to be between when the... more>> main characters tell the truth about their transmigration.

It falls between telling the ML too late because the MC is afraid of being called a monster to telling the ML extremely early because it's troublesome to keep secrets.

This novel leans towards the later. The truth is out like Boom, boom, boom. Done.

And the ML accepts it like boom. Boom. Boom. Aight.

It just leaves the reader feeling confused because you're like "????" ML you have no questions? At all???

The writing is much like this; straight to the point, leaving no mystery, no suspense, and flat.

It doesn't do well in developing the main characters. It leaves inconsistencies and the characters feel dull no matter how interesting their bickering is. (TBH their bickering is cute and other times it's hard not to cringe at it).

As for the villains, they're flat and have no IQ.

She completely dissed the MC in front of important officials even when she knew elemental people are akin to "divine beings" and those who go against them will get "divine punishment"

It was totally brainless. And of course, during this scene, the MC's Gary Sue halo activates.

Aside from this, this novel is more of a past time. The plot is okay, characters are all right, and everything just needs a bit of refining. But, I do have to add, if you're going to make the plot unique and complex, at least put the same energy and time into villains and side characters too.

This was okay, but not great. If you're looking for a novel featuring an OP transmigrated MC and his equally OP ML, fraught with face slapping, then this might be enjoyable for you. However, in terms of quality, it's mediocre at best.

The summary makes it seem like MC pretends to be a little fragile flower but in actuality, he's OOC right off the bat and anyone with even half a brain quickly realizes that he's changed, although the the author has most characters write it off as 'personality change due... more>> to memory loss.' Even so, ML falls in love with this new MC and they're fairly sweet, but so so awkward. Eating each others' faces during your very public wedding and then running away koala hug style cause you both got boners? Ah, yikes. That's not even dog food, that's just cringe. This is yet another novel where side CPs are more interesting than the main CP.

In terms of plot, nothing new or unique going on. Insert familiar tropes including the jaded and regretful ex-lover, abusive extended family due to being an orphan, 2D bad guys who are bad just because, and random female love rival in a BL novel. There were a lot of inconsistencies and logical gaps strewn throughout the novel. The ending was fairly anticlimactic and I found the extras to be more interesting than most of the main story.

Even if the plot could still have been good with some little improvements, there was ONE thing that COMPLETELY ruined the story for me.

Do you know what it is? It's that flirting or tr*sh-talking or whatever you want to call it. It takes away ANY moment of seriousness, breaks EVERY chapter's atmosphere. It's bad to the point that the author seems like those high-schoolers (or even younger) who write fanfictions and think it's "cool" to talk about s*xual matters left and right.

It just takes away... more>> any little character development. Just imagine, even when the author is talking about ml's or mc's tragic and hurtful experiences, they still had to break it with "who's c*otch size is bigger". It's annoying, generally, in other stories, you want the protagonists to move to bedroom matters and even like it when they start teasing each other, BUT that's if it does NOT completely take over the story and if it's NOT poorly done. SO DAMN ANNOYING. Especially when this strory HAS a good potential.

Next, the character interactions that are really irrealistic, but at this point, I think it's also that "flirting" fault cause whenever a character starts being serious, it's broken by some flat joke.

If it hadn't been for the POTENTIAL of the story, I would've given it a ONE star because of how much it gets destroyed by what that author think is "cool". <<less

He actually asked the MC if he was okey with him calling MC « mylady », and of course MC wouldn’t bother to care about that (rolling eyes). Also the MC that is obviously a badass, whenever there a situation with the antagonists, he immediately becomes a meek and « obedient » little boy in ML’s arms. Like ??? And the way everyone speak of him, be it the good or bad people, it’s always objectifying him or talking as if he were ML’s possession, ML’s little virtuous wife. Sigh I’m tired of this.

I’m also not forgetting when they got married. Why did the priest guy just assume that Xiao Lingyu and Feng Gu where the grooms (The ones that gift the crystal to the « brides », here the Lei cousins) ? Isn’t it just because everyone assume they bottom? I cannot be the only one to find this disturbing, right ? Why is there even the need to have grooms and brides here ? This is currently a pretty slow read. The beginning hooks you in, but as it developed there wasn't enough fluff/sweet moments between the MC and ML to tie the story over until the plot picks up. As mentioned by someone previously, if you're new to the whole transmigration, face slapping OP protagonist, this is a pretty decent and simple read, but if you've read a bunch, it's only average.

Initially I wanted to drop this novel at chapter 21 because it got way too brain dead gary stu for my taste, while at the same time I felt that nobody deserved this MC... Too kind for this world (and even at the last world). His level of gary stu kindness was on par with the MCs from I Inherited Empire with Fake Pregnancy and Feast of Flowers... So you'd know how exaggerated that trait of MC was.

I also felt that MC was too s*upid to live, like an... more>> extra-minus IQ Disney Princess... And oh, don't forget his healing ability, control over animals, sealed memory and evil family *rolls eyes* not to mention that he STILL managed to fall for the Lei family's scheme like a sitting duck. Yep, definitely a frickin Disney Princess setting.

Sorry for the capslock, I want to emphasize how s*upid the MC was being.

For now I'm still reading because I want to see how low my cringe moment endurance is.

Dropped at ch 34 because MC kept healing people for free, even willingly went to one of the villain's family and healed them. Whats more, that person's purpose in inviting him was just so that his children could benefit from MC's power. Also, what MC did with the flame lion was so rude. Taking someone else's pet in their own home just because you can and feeling mischievous was a big nope.

I didn't expect this novel to be SO GOOD??? I didn't think too much when I first reading it and even kinda hate the ML, but don't drop it because of him!! You'll find out the more you read that things are not as simple as it seems. He grows on me ngl. I absolutely love the ML's family. The MC is your typical Gary Stu but the story is so much fun to read it doesn't really matter.

The description really doesn't give this novel justice! It's more of like... more>> elementals super power stuff (I don't know how to describe it). The MC has a special body and power, the story involves around MC finding out about his origins and power and faceslapping a lot of enemies. He's OP but the children are even more OP.

Ah yes, the children! They're absolutely adorable. I love the babysitting stories it's really fun to read. I'm really in love with this novel.

Also, the second couple is so CUTE!!! I like them very much too. Even tho the shou started off on a bad foot with MC and ML. I love the development of the second couple's relationship. It's kind of fast, even faster than the main couple but it's fine, I'm not really fond of slow burn anyway.

Overall it's an enjoyable read, it's lighthearted but the plot is complicated and interesting enough. You don't have to think too much when reading. The side characters are likeable. The villains are kind of brainless but the plot needed them to be brainless for the faceslap to happen anyway lmao. It's pretty well written, the translation is also quite nice.

It's entertaining. The MC is definitely a power bottom which is fun. I like the fact that the MC and ML don't seem to take themselves too seriously. The world could be falling apart around them but they'll just sexually harrass each other. Sure there's not a lot of character development and the plot is cliche but if you are looking for a light hearted easy read without a lot of angst this is a good choice.

I've read many similar novels, but I have to say this one definitely leaves a lasting impression.

The story is more like slice of life type for me. It's slow but still interesting. The plot grew more complex in each chapter. The beginning was a bit slow.

MC’s personality is really hard to distinguish, I couldn’t tell which one was the real him and couldn’t pinpoint it.

I kinda liked the ML.

When they finally confessed, I did feel some subtle changes in their interactions to be more ‘deep’ but again, their teasing and flirting never changed so it feels a bit stagnant unless they have more real talk.

Gonna drop for now since I lost my enthusiasm to read
