The plot was good I love it so much even made me cry at some point.

You know, sometimes it is necessary to put aside all that angst and have a sweet romance. And this novel is a good example.

The premise was pretty angsty. I have found out this novel because it looked similar to "strategy to capture scum gong", which I adore. :) But the thing is - there is no angst at all! MC is totally secured, no harm done through all arcs! Nonsense, right? Still, it has no fluf (which s*upidity I mostly don't approve) and the plot is interesting, so I enjoyed... more>> the whole thing. As I said, it is necessary to read sweet love story once in a while. And the good plot made it way easier to become used to it) <<less

You will be crying.

Sad and warm. MC is cute and naive but love to study and can fight (strong guy).

He is don't care about homosexuality because it's normal in his original world.

Trying to do bad things but unsuccessfully.

Really angst I was mentally crying.

Ngl the first few arcs I probably liked a little TOO much. I've read countless QT, but for some reason this one is just so much more enjoyable.

Of course, it suffers from a lot of the same problems (unreasonable love, how did MC find the same person again & again, premise doesn't actually make that much sense) but in a way that I'm still okay with?? Normally any of those things would get a no from me, but in this story I still love it.

My jesus this is the best feelings BL ive ever read. Im not even mad that the snusnu scenes are somewhat censored cuz damn my feels. I love this and am looking forward to seeing it fully translated

I really loved this! Arcs are about 29 chapters per arc, but I feel like the chapters get shorter in the later arcs where there isn't as much drama to build misunderstandings. But the whole reason why I'm writing this is cause I read the author's spoilers that ... more>>

but when arc 2 was ending and there was so much cliche drama, but it still made me cry and made me feel emotionally invested.

I would say rather than QWTFOD, this story resembles more of Heroic Death System with that mix between angst and fluff, and It's Actually Not Easy Being A Supporting Male Lead, where the MC is torn between his duties and love. And the whole falling in love at first sight that is the cliche of such QT novels. But I love that the ML always makes it a point to not force the MC into the relationship, and actually takes the tine to always court/woo the MC every arc, so that the MC is always the one who willingly decides to be with him. It does get a lot fluffier in later arcs, and the system just adapting to the fact that his host can never be a slag is funny. The ending was nice and sweet, though it does feel like the author rushed it a bit. <<less

this novel failed to hook me, it can't keep my interest going. I keep getting distracted and thinking "oh my god, there's still more?" everytime I finished an arc. The plot just feels flat to me. The chemistry between MC and ML keep getting less and less in each world. Even the system has better chemistry with MC.

the love feels so forced and inorganic. I don't care if there's going to be a reason like "oh he remembers his feelings for MC from the prev world" no. Def the most boring arc.

I’ve reread this four times. That’s how much I enjoyed this series. I used to set my alarm to the day translator would release the chapters because that’s how much I looked forward to reading it. It was bittersweet for me when the series ended.

The MC is the star of the novel for me with the emotions he felt when trying not to harm the ML and yet struggling with it as he wanted to live as well.

One of my fave arcs is the interstellar one as its a rare... more>> arc where it is somewhat happy throughout.

Might reread this again after leaving this ultra late review. <<less

I honestly didn't expect to finish this novel. I was looking for a dog-blooded, ML-groveling, wife-chasing crematorium novel. Although it fits the criteria, it's quite... different. I've read several qt bl novels and by far this is the only one that I finished. The others were also great (especially Don't Pick Up Boyfriends and Heroic Death System) but either they were overhyped, started great but lost interest soon, incomplete so I read the raws and somehow got bored, or I just don't like the MC.

However, IRASS is just different. It... more>> has the right amount of humor, the length of each arc, and the characters' development. Oh, the only thing I didn't like was the pacing of every ending.

Each arc's plot was built at the right pace BUT when you're always looking forward to how they'll spend their time together the author will only give you a summary of what happened to the rest of their lives together in a few paragraphs. Ugh. But perhaps, that might be the reason why I kept reading it till the end. I wanted to know more about them - about their next lives, next encounters, next heartaches, and next endings. And yes, it is 1v1, the same ML, and has an HE.

Like I mentioned It has the right amount of humor. I love the interactions between the system and the MC. I love the right amount of angst that made me cry, those moments that made it difficult for me to swallow and made me take a break from continuing reading coz of the pain.

Well, I don't care about how it works for other QT novels where the MC shouldn't follow the tragic lives of the person's body that they were possessing. If every author is gonna follow that then where's the uniqueness? Because you're used to reading transmigrations of MCs where they have to change their lives to avoid miserable futures? Well, that's that story's plot. And for IRASS the plot is to continue to follow the designed and planned-out 'so-called reality that we thought already happened'. Oh yeah right, I can't blame other readers for finding it unreasonable coz they didn't read this till they found out that

those were all virtual worlds. Those plots and world information given to MC were made and planned to punish the ML. Too bad. Well, it's great that the tag for Virtual Reality wasn't included in the tags here. It was the biggest plot twist. Hahaha. And oh, it's already a given that ML will immediately fall for MC for every arc. As much as I want that not to happen nah, overall it was still good.

It's really hard to find good qt novels, and this one is a rare treasure.

I love the MC. He's not smart, but he's also not dumb. He feels very real. And the ML is everything you want from an unhinged possessive lover (in fiction). It works because it makes sense.

It's essentially a series of toxic relationships - don't let that put you off. As someone who likes fluff and not angst, I still love this story, because it's all subjective. As the reader, we understand that the toxic... more>> relationships are all situational, and the true feelings of the main pair aren't toxic at all.

It's very cute.

8.5/10 Fluff and a bit of bittersweet I cry.

the plot is not as deep or grand compared to other well known novels in this genre, but the writer really know how to satisfy the readers (like me) !

MC and ML are both very lovable. MC is smart but not really the cunning type. A little foolish at times but still very cute. ML is very doting and loving, sometimes puppy, sometimes foolish, sometimes domineering. He has some characteristic of possessive and attachment, but it never come close to crossing the... more>> line like other novels. He knows well that the best way to stay with MC is to treat him well.

A great read when you’re sick of drama and heavy stories. No NC, but still very good read. Would totally reread it again after I forgot the story. <<less

I've been delaying reading this for so long bcause I'm not really fond of QT. Often too short each chapter n left feeling unsatisfied. Turns out this one is really good!! Ofc not perfect like for example was it arc 6, I feel like wayyyy too many characters but bcause of each arc is short, that character bcome just a waste. They go no where, , seem like doesn't rlly play much role, at the end they were neglected but at the same time taking up too much time in... more>> the opening arc. They r very redundant. Since each QT arc is short I think it's much more suitable if the story focus on just MC n ML n like 2-3 other characters. And the romance is lacking, for me at least. Everytime they end up together, arc end n just start next short stories :")

It's too bad really when each arc have good story plot, so much room for improvement, so much more potential. This is why I'm not really fond of QT. But this is one of the best story already. There's a lot of funny moment especially with our MC n the cute system. A lot of angst for the ML n MC, n seriously smtime instead of abusing the ML why do I feel like the world is abusing the MC more 😂 Great ending overall~ <<less

It was so funny in the first 2 arcs, then it got really serious after. So might find yourself like me laughing and crying at the same time.

I love the system, probably one of the best system out there for this kind of genre.

Regardless I love the MC I found him really refreshing and also find it interesting that the novel mention one of the points ppl are always scared to touch. MC actually accumulated experience and live for hundred of years and no longer as pure as he once... more>> was. He knows alot more and became much more mature and you really withness character growth, I find it sad and also reassuring at the same time.

ML I find him pitiful but also he's behavior were too repetitive, I wish he remember sooner.

Main selling point is MC's personality, ML's jumble wire thinking, the cute system interactions with MC. I find them all really intriguing,

There's some arcs that made you cry, I find it really emotional to read like the ending in Arc 2. There's also some arcs I didn't find as good as others but coming together it was a good reading material.

This is a good novel and the translation also did an awesome job. <<less

There are bunch of mixed reviews of this novel. For me, it was a good novel.

even though I hate dog blood novels. the interaction between system abd the MC makes it a little bit easy to read since they were both funny.

The male lead from each world was very op but I don't hate it.
5 stars for the author and 5 stars for the translator.

woohoo! Finally picked this up after having it bookmarked for a few weeks. Am glad I decided to read this because it was really good!

this is a QT/world hopping novel, with about 8 arcs in total. For myself, in such novels I personally enjoy arcs that take place in the ancient world aka typically in chinese dynasty eras etc. Pretty sure I'm just biased because I enjoy stories in historical settings haha! Which is why ... more>>

I would say the arc with the prince regent is the best imo, but alas all were wodnerful of course. I didnt realise there was going to be so much knives thrown before we reached the sweet end of the plot in that arc though ngl ><

one thing about this QT novel is that the climax leading up to the MC and ML getting together isn't an easy or smooth sailing one, there is some angst and it only increases as each arc goes by. So be prepared if you are expecting a happy read because it takes awhile, but it does get there eventually :)

what I like: MC and the system! Their interactions are so funny, and I find chi zhao's personality very endearing; he could try his hardest to be a slag shou, but in the end we know deep inside he is still a big softie who has plenty of room in his heart for the special person. Even when the circumstance changes, he is still the same!

what I didn't like: it's not so much of what was there, but more of what wasn't. I wished the endings for some of the arcs were more extensive, but I understand in QT novels it is quite normal to have a generic summary once the relationship between MC and ML has been established. But I just felt so empty everytime I finish each arc as was really hoping there was something a little more T_T

overall, its a really nice book! I'm sure many of readers who love to binge read world hopping or QT novels will like this as well! :) <<less

I just really admire authors who still hurt me even though I already knew that it's gonna be okay at the end.

The arcs 2, 3 and 4 are just so angsty for me that I need to read each arc in one sitting in order for my heart to feel fine. I love how each arc has its own plot that I really enjoyed reading and will have no problem if it becomes a stand alone story

I'm not really a person that's affected if there's morally wrong in the story... more>> like r*pe because 1. It's just fiction for me and 2. If it doesn't happen often then it's tolerable. But there's really some questionable parts here so just be careful with that.

Maybe the only thing I'm not satisfied with is the open ending love triangle between the systems.I just wish system got to be with main system daddy because I personally just doesn't appreciate love triangles 😔

All in all, I enjoyed reading this story and it's a must read QT novel ❤️ <<less
