Honestly I didn't realize that the novel would be really long. I was expecting a short read but I guess not lol. The novel itself isn't bad but I got bored after a whole. This one starts off interestingly enough but slowly falls off into a boring mess of unfocused filler chapters.

As other reviews have said, the main character is a massive Gary Stu who is good at everything. The world is set up with laws and honesty that further enables the main character to get whatever he wants. That is actually not the problem. Initially, the author provides enough conflict in the form of the relationship between Gary Stu, the mother of his child, and his daughter. This keeps the story interesting along... more>> with the main characters navigation in the world.

As this conflict resolves, and an understanding between the members of the family occur, the story becomes rudderless and begins to focus on other uninteresting characters or uninteresting events. While some work conflict for the female lead is introduced, it is only lightly touched on and you have to slog through chapters and chapters of uninteresting filler to see the conflict revealed. At this point, the story just not worth following. <<less

The novel was dragging for me around chapter 70, but I continued reading to see what would happen. I ended up skimming a lot of the chapters.

I like the concept, but the romance aspect of the story really isn’t my cup of tea. I wish the story focused more on the interactions of the MC and his daughter. I’m not into the pursuit of the FL. I don’t know I just can’t feel the connection. I think that the MC has a very interesting backstory (the original and the transmigrator).... more>> I think it’d be more satisfying if there were more details about the MC. <<less

Umm, im not sure about this novel. Considering his former identity (both, killer and soldier) you would expect at least a little more action (? but its slice of life so a normal life is ok. I don't know how to say it, there's something about the whole family... perhaps their personalities are too perfect, idk how to express it haha. At the start MC/FL relationship and misunderstandings was ackward to read. About the children, tbh I skipped most of the chapters related to school, I liked the girl better... more>> when she was smaller, little boy was alright. <<less

A completely average story. Good if you really like fluff I guess. There's no point to the MC being a former assassin, other than... apparently assassins are all multi-talented, because they need to blend in?

I was expecting something similar to Perfect Superstar but I was disappointed.

Cons first- To be honest, House dad's literary life is very boring. There were many storylines which could be cut from the story. For ex. Cat's storyline or kindergarten storyline. Sometimes there were continuous 2-3 chapters about cats which were totally useless. I like slice of life story but even for me these chapters were too much.

MC don't want to expose his daughter to the media, want to make her life smooth as possible. He doesn't even post her... more>> pictures on social media. This was the main reason MC didn't want to reveal his relationship with FL to the world. Now on the persuasion of some director he is making her daughter act in movie. Wouldn't that make her famous?. She's not even 5 years old. Frankly this idea is very s*upid.

Now pros- Romance is good to read. There are no arrogant young masters or that revenge for nothing storylines. The thing I like most in this novel is Character development. In 500 chapters I saw MC adopting to ordinary life. He was assassin in previous life but his personality gradually change.

Some people criticized that MC was an assassin in his previous life and an assassin doesn't watch animated movies like frozen or ice age, doesn't listen to music or etc. To those people please remember this is fiction. Just use your imagination.

If you life slice of life family story with some romance then you may read it.
