Ji Qingqing was at the end of her rope after transmigrating into a novel. When she was on the brink of wretched poverty, she received a system. The system told her; Lu Lixing came from a family that was rolling in money, but he was coming to the end of his allotted lifespan. If she married him, she would gain his enormous inheritance.

Lu Lixing was seriously ill. Just as he was about to die, he gained a system. The system told him: Ji Qingqing was young and beautiful. She was rich in vitality. If he married her, he could continue living.

Ji Qingqing happily came to Lu Lixing’s sickbed.

And then, Lu Lixing woke up.

***

Lu Lixing’s friends discovered that after Lu Lixing woke up, not only did this person that had always kept his distance from women gotten married, he spent every day being super clingy towards his wife.

Young Lu, can you be a little less embarrassing and act your age? Will you die if you take one step away from your wife?

Lu Lixing clutched his chest. His little heart had almost stopped beating because Ji Qingqing had left him for half an hour. He weakly waved his hand. He couldn’t be separated from her, not for the rest of his life. She was his life.

Finally! Took me three days to finish MTL-ed this novel. First of all, I am so glad give this story a chance because it totally worth it. No heartwrenchin scene, no major misunderstand (Thanks to the system). If you looking for a slow romance than you might like this. Both MC and ML are likeable character. The MTL also easy to read. My only complain is their less lovey dovey hot moment took so much time before it happened. Like seriously, I almost assumed there will be no kissing scene... more>> in this story. So, overall I'll recommend this story to you. <<less

I just completed reading the raws and I have to say it was a very satisfying read.

The story itself has a light-hearted vibe to it, although the obstacles that occur in the story would beg to disagree.

The MC is not a white lotus nor is she a revenge-seeking ghost, she is someone who makes decision rationally and is a normal minded person (i say normal minded cause she is not dumb to the point of being oblivious to what's happening and not black-bellied to the point that she manipulates everything).

The... more>> ML is a serious guy not extremely cold and high above like the typical CEO ML's rather he is a guy who didn't get to experience the most basic things cause of the responsibilities he held as the eldest son of a large company.

Both the MC and the ML are not OP characters hence it makes up a more realistic and believable plot and that in my opinion is what makes the reading experience even better cause you can imagine how the situation was and what the MC's felt.

Overall it's a really good satisfying read with a rational plot, I would definitely recommend reading this. <<less

at first I thought that the system was cruel.. but lately it seems like it just wanted to help President Lu's life, since the man always busied himself with work before the accident...

Just hoping that President Lu would have a (bit) smooth sail while chasing his wife (─‿‿─) and their marriage won't have too much drama ≧◔◡◔≦

Decided to drop this... Really tried to hold on since other reviewers said that this novel is hilarious however I stopped because ML was forced by the system and it's so uncomfortable..

Spoiler

Had to stop when the system demanded the ML to kiss the FL... I tolerated the previous tasks and rationalized those as "little" pushes by the system to make the MCs closer.. but this happened.. and I don't know what crazy things the system will make the ML do in the future.. also WORST, FL misconstrues his actions as him falling in love with her.. *shakes my head* Also, found it funny that FL is great in acting when I assume she didn't act in her previous life..

[collapse]

But have to give credit to the earlier chapters.. The face slapping by the FL and ML are satisfying.. ML supports the FL in her arguments when she goes against the baddies. They were logical. Honestly, they're a cute "couple". ML, ofc, is your domineering CEO. I just had to draw a line on the system forcing the ML.. <<less

I almost not gonna read this novel because of the reviews here.. But I try to read it and I like it!! Seriously the system is kinda like a shipper or CP fans. He always twist what the ML said. It's good that they don't have many heavy misunderstanding, even if they had It's easily resolved. The two of them already had interest to each other from the beginning. Slight interest.

Overall, a good story if you have nothing to read. Simple and sweet (but it didn't make me go KYAA or dying of mad sugar. Its more of pleasant). Personally, it's not really my cup of tea.
Spoiler

It felt like the ML was angry all the time (based on the mtl) when he had to interact with the FL. I know it's because of the system, but I would've expected some progress like he started to enjoy it and felt fine following the system (killing 2 birds with one stone b/c it also involves of his life). It was more so like "no, I'm not doing it, I don't like you-triggered face- " but then forced to do so because it involves his life (which I totally understand.) But it was redundant all the way to nearly 10-15 chapters before it ends for some kind of progress. I didn't even feel/remember if there's a part where I thought, "oh he's starting to like her. He doesn't realize he likes her." It just happened, I found out suddenly like "since when?" despite the sugar moments. I don't know, I honestly don't remember vivid details of the romance progress (basically 90 chs bc it was that bland) besides the beginning and how they ended up together.

My impression of this novel is kind of mixed. On the one hand, I thought the premise was interesting and the overall development kinda fun. On the other hand, the inconsistencies and the plot holes made it kind of difficult to read DX. It’s also kind of repetitive. It’s the FL messing up and causing the ML trouble (he’s practically on the verge of dying every single time) LOL. It made the FL kinda annoying, tbh. Not completely unlikable, but yeh. Her decisions were always so frustrating DX. It also... more>> made it give the story a creepy Stockholm syndrome feel. LIKE, in my opinion, the only reason the ML likes her is because of a mental disorder djdkdkdk if it were me in his place, I’d hate her like hell LMFAO.

Summary: As is stated in the summary, the FL, Ji Qingqing, is a transmigrator. Her soul was transferred to the cannon fodder in a novel about a heroine making it big in the industry. The original owner was petty and all about money, and conflicted with the original heroine constantly, leading to her bad end. The SYSTEM goes to her first, but it didn’t stay. All it did was persuade her to marry the ML, Lu Lixing. Meanwhile, the ML is someone who is on the verge of death and in need of help beyond what modern medicine is capable of. He’s the main focus of the system, and the plot is pretty much him striving to complete missions while the FL messes up his plans for one dumb reason and another.

If you’re looking for a simple slice of slice with a little bit of Fantasy mixed in, this is not bad. As mentioned in the intro, it’s kind of clumsy in some areas, making it a bit difficult to read. But all in all, it’s okay. The TL is pretty good too, so there’s no reason to not give it a try if you have the interest. Just be aware of the story’s bad points and prepare yourself mentally for some frustration LOLOL. As for my rating of this novel... I might not have finished, but I think I made it way past the halfway point. So I’m giving this... hmm. 3.25/5 stars. Not quite good enough to round up to four stars. But it was still pretty okay at keeping my interest till the TL ran out. <<less

Okay, I found this from other people's reading list (poster : minabisu) and their comment stated "transmigration, soldier husband, good cook housewife, cute son". I jumped in to read when I see soldier husband. Okay, now I seriously doubt the poster's eyes. I mean how is this a story about a soldier husband?? Please do go check the eyes. At first like other people, I found this story to be unbalanced in terms of task. The ML just looks really controlled by system. However, he slowly realized that even without... more>> the task, he would still slowly love MC in his own way.

I love how MC and ML relationship progress. From strangers to slowly got used and learn to love each other. It's what the essence of arranged marriage is.

All in all this is a good story and yes, please go ahed and read to understand. <<less

I just finished reading I'm pregnant with the Villain's child and heard the names of the MC's in this novel. This is just so amusing.

Also, there are people questioning the ML's sincerity because of the system. However, the FL is just the same lol. Aren't both of them together because of the system? Don't be hypocritical, they first got together because they both have motives and intentions. Basically, their interest came first and their feelings just followed after.

The translation is quite fast but I just cannot be patient and read the rest on mtl. Plus the mtl is quite decent as long as you figure which name who and the address of she and he. Please also be aware that translator divide each chapter into 3-4 parts, so when you read almost 100 but see little progress is because based on true number of chapter, the story is till early in the story.

I read many review don't give many stars because they are questioning the male lead... more>> sincerity and don't like the system. I on the contrary give 5 star both for the translation and the plot.

I don't think this a spoiler so I won't use spoiler tag. Even though many questioning the male lead sincerity I beg to differ. It's true that all the sweet things in 3/4 of the story that male lead have done is only because of the mission or he will die, I figure that half in the story, the male lead no longer feel forced to do the task but in fact he will still do it even if there would no longer be mission.

Spoiler

For example is the proposal. I know that the system give task for him to propose and make it a romantic proposal. But even without the task he will still propose just not romantically. I said this because when the system give out the task, he was clutching something in his pocket and I think that might be the ring. I won't really question him if he not propose in romantic setting because I think he just airhead when it come to what he supposed to do in a love relationship. And the fact that he also end up getting injured when preparing the romantic proposal also show his sincerity. I think if he just want to complete the task, he can just paid someone to setup the place and keep it a secret from Qinqing, but instead he do everything himself. I can think of many other examples but I'm getting tired writing long review.

[collapse]

I personally think as the story progress, the system is more like a cupid between the couple. But I still agree with some opinion that wrote the system is cruel.

Spoiler

I really hate it when Lixing die because he was traying to save his wife. I still feel it unfair because saving his wife is more important than asking deciding the wedding dress. At least maybe the system can let him be able to speak during the last few second to let him complete the task. Though writer may wrote like that to finally end the system role in the story maybe.

[collapse]

All in all, this story is quite good actually and there are not really drama with the green tea b*tch. <<less

up until now it’s small stuff like call her baby or buy her flowers. He is not used to expressing feeling so yeah it’s embarrassing but it’s not enough to make you pity him, come on!

It’s still early for romance to develop but they don’t dislike each other. Looking forward to next chapters and thank you for picking it up.

Imo better than I'm Pregnant with the Villain's Child.

It's cute, fluffy and very standard. I get that ML must be struggling with the system, but honestly, I don't think it's too bad. If MC also had system tasks that involved ML, it would be much easier for both of them (see Love Rival Romance System). ML is impregnable in almost every other way, so I think it's fine for him to have this "crippling weakness". Plus, without it he would've died from the beginning. On the other hand, MC has... more>> all the media against her, she's got a terrible bio-family, and many people scheme against her. She's got enough troubles lol <<less

Overall a good fluffy romance.

Transmigrated to a book senario. Transmigrated villian female lead has to marry the hospitalized male lead (who is the elder brother of the novel protagonist). Instead of the female lead getting a sytem, its given to the male lead, who has to perform romance tasks to extend his life.

In the begining the concept is interesting and has a good direction with lot of fun romance based hijinks.

In the middle you start feeling a lot of sympathy for the exausted male lead who is essentially being held... more>> hostage by the system with his life in constant danger (many people choose to stop reading here. I would say to stick it out, it gets better).

by the end of the book you start to realize the sytem is actually a solid wingman and has the male lead's back. The tasks have actually gone a long way to helping the ML get out of an unheathly lifestyle, connect with people, and avoid repeating the mistakes of his family before him.

The turning point for me was when
Spoiler

the ML attempted to propose to the FL under the table at SOMEONE ELSES super romantic much better proposal, WHILE she was struggling with the dissapointment of having caught on to the event earlier and thought it was meant for her. At this point the ML had actually fallen in love with her too. The relief I felt when the systems sudden panicked task pulled him back from that edge was like watching someone dodge out from a speeding bus. That was when I put the pieces together that the death threats were nessesary. The ML is THAT emotionally challenged and would NEVER have been able to safely fall in love and get married without divine intervention. Further, the task made him actually step back, seek help from his family, and learn how to genuinely express his feelings.

[collapse]

In the end, having the sytem benefited the male lead greatly, despite the risk. There is also the fact that
Spoiler

he would have died without the system anyway. It was never the case of fixing a problem and going back to his unheathy lifestyle. As far as the universe was conserned, the ML was dead. Every task he did gave him just a little bit more time, the catch being he has to spend it developing human relationships and not at the office as a work machine.

[collapse]

The resolution was super sweet and v romantic. <<less

Such a nice read. Not overly dramatic and very sweet and funny. Even though there is a lot of miscommunication between the lead characters it is very understandable. The tasks given by the system are so funny and a bit random that it is a given FL will be confused by ML abruptness. That being said the FL is so understanding that she will try to rationalise everything towards ML favor. Because of that I feel like the relationship between the two is very well matched.

Well, overall, this novel is bunch of fluff! Love it. In my opinion, MC and ML are TSUNDERE.

I like the personality of MC and ML. The MC is NOT a weak minded person, she also thought before act. The ML is your usual CEO. But he didn't do anything to MC before he and MC confess to each other. He also helped MC a lot (like her scandal).

That's so funny when ML desperately fulfil his task so he didn't die! That's always made me laugh :D

Anyway, give this novel a try! <<less

If you like this type of story, it would be a satisfying read.

There are not a lot of the face slapping of the white lotus, a couple of small misunderstandings that were solved pretty quickly, and no super hateful relatives. I also like that the ML and the MC fell in love with each other slowly.

"Please don't swear at the system."

This is a story about two people who were tricked convinced by a system to get married. We get to watch as the pair gradually fall in love and all the hilarity that comes with it.

The MC is Ji Qingqing who transmigrated into the body of an actress just as she was being threatened with legal action for hurting another actress. With the threat of either jail time or paying 20 million yuan, she becomes stressed but is quickly paired with a system that tells... more>> her to marry Lu Lixing to solve her problem. From there, she showcases her intelligence and sassy nature while dealing with the protagonists of the original novel.

Spoiler

For example when she outright faceslaps her ex who happens to be the ML's younger brother. The guy has a complex about her dumping him for someone wealthier and basically accuses her of being with his brother for his money. The MC agrees with him about that but goes on to point out that he is only there for the same reason but she will at least take care of the ML and the ML's grandfather while the brother is rarely home.

[collapse]

The ML is Lu Lixing, a slightly domineering CEO type who has been in a coma for a month. Just prior to dying, he is matched with a system that tells him he can live by marrying Ji Qingqing. It then gives him tasks (such as calling her wifey and her calling him hubby) to prolong his living. He's stern and gloomy at first but begins to warm up to the MC. Especially since the tasks force him to be a bit more romantic. Doubly so if he was mean or indifferent to her just before.

Spoiler

Like praising her beauty for five minutes straight after not really caring about her comments about the netizens dissing her looks.

[collapse]

Over the course of the story, we get to see their romance develop. Some of it is a little forced but this is a given on account of the system ordering the ML to do certain tasks. It feels like manipulation (cause it is) but the two develop a genuine affection for each other. Due to the system, there isn't any 2nd ML but we do get to see the three main Exs of the MC as well as the woman who is her main antagonist.

By the end of the novel, the main pair are well on their way to a happy ending but we don't really get to see a satisfying end for the antagonist.

Spoiler

They get married at the end and it's a genuine marriage (not dictated by the system) while the antagonist breaks it off with the ML's younger brother so she can hook up with a different 2nd generation rich boy. Luckily, this is a wake up call for the ML's younger brother who finally begins to realize that he's spent the last few years hating the MC for the wrong reason.

It was weird watching him try to reconcile with a woman who is legally married to his brother. He does take the smart approach and head to America instead of hanging around.

The antagonist, on the other hand, starts to realize that her new boyfriend can't really help her either. But we don't see the culmination of that without the after stories.

[collapse]

Overall, I liked it. It might not be for everyone as the system was pretty cruel to the ML at times. Even if it is the reason for them to get together, it still felt a little wrong with the actions it was forcing him to do. <<less

the story took a different way, rather than the FL with a system, it was the ML that got the system to prolong his life.

The FL transmigrated to the story and the ML is the older brother of OGML who died early. Basically the ML need to complete the task given by the system to gain additional time of life.

The story is slow paced, focusing on between the leads. Not a lot of revenge or face slapping towards the OGFL. So, not a lot of excitement and quite fluffy. The... more>> interactions between FL and ML was hilarious.
Spoiler

The ogML regretted breaking up with fl, the ogFL ended like how FL supposed to in the novel, lastly FL and ML got a son <3

It's just so-so. There's not much I can say that would make this novel stand out. There's just a lot of logical flaws in the novel that keeps me from enjoying it. The ML goes straight to work instead of worrying that he only has a few hours to live at the start, for example. Well, the interactions are kinda eh. There's also a lack of face slapping. The FL also seems pretty powerless without hugging the golden thigh. Her reputation is pretty much rock bottom yet she does nothing... more>> to fix it, and neither does her husband do much to help. At least that's the case up to where I've read.

Would I recommend this? Not really. <<less

I was heavily invested in this story and fell overly in love with this premise and tried my hardest to push through and just keep reading... but the system forcing/threatening the ML just didn't sit well with me. It had so much potential, yet I believe the author failed to take advantage.
