Ye Sui has been transmigrated into a book and became the venomous villain. The supernatural tag will make you cry because of the feels. Not directly related to the lead characters, but such a touching addition to an otherwise super fluffy and hilarious story.

Wow. It's been wild. Cried a few more times, was also annoyed. Not at the main characters of course, but just to the side characters and audience. You really get absorbed to all the aspects of the story. Hope everyone gives it a time. Definitely worth your time.

It was satisfying when both of them act to teach the bad guy... or girls. Anyway, I MTL the whole story and guess what, worth it!

I didn't like it from the start and my dislike just continued to rise with every chapter. I've read many entertainment novels and I must say, this has got to be the worst. There are so many things career-wise that they could have done better, or at least not be so bad. I don't know. It's not like I require them to solve their problems as so and so MCs from so and so novels - how boring would it be to not only have the same genre but also... more>> the same content - but maybe at least some IQ? I also don't know, I actually don't know anything professional about business or the entertainment industry but as a reader and an outsider that could be counted on about the same level as a mob character aka fan in the novel world, their approach to their identity and the advantages and disadvantages it entails are just so s*upid. It's like they're carrying this really good weapon around without taking precautions to prevent getting hurt themselves while also not knowing how to use it in combat against others who want to hurt them. I just can't. I just keep getting frustrated, hoping for it to become better then being disappointed as it just goes from worse to worst. <<less

To be honest, halfway through the novel, it kind of got boring and dull. There were some parts that were trying to portray something but in the end, just made me confused. It made me feel like wanting to directly skip it through the end already. But I still persisted and made it to the last chapter. I do admit I still enjoyed reading the novel. Im at chapter 20. Now I'm contemplating if I should drop reading this or not.

I'm getting confused with the story.

I'm reading this just because it looks similar to "Transmigrating into the Male Supporting Character’s Ex-wife" which I enjoyed so much. Cheng jun's character looks similar to Chen shu. Still, cheng jun is better.

I'll stick to this a bit more. But honestly I'm getting bored 😅 why did this get high star review? The writing is a bit sloppy. Like putting scenes here and there. At my current chapter. I passed... more>> a scene where the ML said to her "Don't leave me" I was thinking. Like dude you like her already? Have I skipped chapters? Where have you liked her? Such a sweet, romance with a bit of comedy read with a unique supernatural edge as the MC can see ghosts!

The MC is Ye Sui, her role is the budding underdog actress. Smart, thoughtful and selfless even when she is scared. The ML is Chen Shu - CEO type but not crazy overly overbearing. The romance comes in trickles and it has a great build up that really makes you cheer for the couple. And there are moments where you need the tissues for sure. The supernatural flair provides great... more>> story backdrop and continuing mysteries. Which I really like as often times in transmigration novels, after the MC is in a new world there is no more magic or mysterious forces at work, when I think transmigration is so mysterious and supernatural in itself!

The characters are fleshed out and it is overall a very smooth read with no misunderstandings between the main characters that make you want to pull your hair out.

I dont think anyone would would regret the read! Btw I MLT'd the second half of the book as it had not been translated at the time. <<less

There were quite a few places where I got emotional while reading this. The MC and ML definitely didn't have it easy, whether it was in the past, or while this story progressed. However, this story was definitely not something I would consider tragedy or very stuffy. The romance/interactions between the MC and ML are absolutely adorable, whiche completely lightens up the mood. The antagonists end up being resolved/fades out, especially as it gets closer to the end and the focus of the story turns from their current life towards... more>> their past life.

I really liked the MC and ML and their backstory. There are definitely some inconsistencies and some unrealistic things happen, but what can you expect when this story is about being able to see ghosts. <<less

  • I have lost sleep these past few days finishing this novel. So to those who are still hesitating wether to read it or not, just do it and press that chapter would ya? Come and join us mtl-ers who sacrificed our sleep for this novel! For those who wants some details regarding the novel I'll list some:

    1. If you're into romantic comedy, then sit back and prepare to laugh your butt! MC's reaction is really hilarious (though cringy sometimes) but its worth it since her monologue regarding what people think about her is hilarious (GAHHH! A GhOsT!!)
    1. Awkward but sweet: Interactions between the two is so fun to read. Their brain circuit doesn't match one another but in the end they always reach an understanding XD
    1. Tired of @$$hole ML? How about those who r*pes the FL then falls in love? What about those insomniac dudes? Our ML in here, although falls in the doting wife category, I love how his past matches his current self without anything overly done. This lil beanie was just an abused and neglected child who grew indifferent without any proper guides but he can also be expressive at times which is good
    1. Friends. FL has friends in here. Though not close, but I love how her new group of friends are filled with a variety of people who can stand by her side and understand and respect her
    1. Journey of the FL from being a hated actress to a popular one could be felt through the novel. However sometimes I feel that it became smooth cuz of her ability to c ghosts
    1. PAST LIFFFEEE explained. I love how the two started from scratch. Their past life was quite pitiful and tragic but I love how the author never forgot to explain it
    2. Touching scenes. The beautiful reunion of the two in their current life after facing disasters, it really shows how the two are so reliant on one another.

Things I feel that the author could've fleshed out or explained more in the story

    • Past interactions b/w the couple before MC arrived: As we can see in the first fee chapters, their relationship is seriously stranger level. But we didn't got enough explanation on how both of them interacted as well as their impression before. That's why before the whole past life was explained, I always felt that when ML fell for MC with details that mention how she came to his life and made him fell loved, I feel as if he has actually never met the host till now. It would've been great if we've gotten a POV at least from the ML from before to after MC came
    • Orig!Host mom. Iirc, the host wasn't really close to her mom. The reason wasn't quite explained probably cuz of MTL. However, I feel like the MC's actions to her mom was immediately accepted without any suspicions which made me feel weird
    • Also, in the story the main protagonist are portrayed as as the antagonist. However, I feel like they were just mentioned and forgotten along the end. They were only brought up when the plot need to be kept going

This is a really heart breaking book. Not bitter revenge or anything.

FL is very nonchalant, her will to live is to avoid ghosts or help them. There's only one incident where she got injured by it (important event).

ML is cold. Indifferent. He's on the top of the pyramid and doesn't care of anything until FL broke into his gray world.

FL and ML are lovers in their past lives like way back in the dynasty. Prince was a soldier who led wars. On the day of their wedding, the general informed the prince of an attack. Prince had to leave but promised her that he'll be back to love and respect her. But he died in the battlefield protecting his comrades and the same day the princess died in the fire where the prince residence live.

They enter heaven and spent years looking for each other but when it was finally time to reincarnate, they met each other but their memories has been wiped. Feelings were too strong that they cried but didnt know why.

Then in the present, when FL was in a coma after the incident where she was hurt by the General ghost's sword protecting that stubborn piece of sht exorsist because he insisted all ghosts are evil even tho FL and ML are telling him that their wishes has been accomplished, they met FL and ML. They couldn't enter reincarnation because of their regret. Finally that fool left and the ghosts left too. Back to FLs coma, I didn't really get why but she just started falling asleep alot then stopped waking up. This really wrecked the ML because she is his light and family. His mom left her because of her postpartum depression, she abused ML and the dad is even cold to him. He had 2 older half brothers but they died but it was blamed on ML. Anyways, FLs soul wanders around the ward and tried to communicate with ML with writings. Which worked, they went to buddha and he wished to something mix his life time with hers and even take half of his life so she can wake up again. They met again in spirit form and finally FL woke up.

Honestly, the 2 female antagonists aren't that bad. They're s*upid tho. Especially the novel FL (lol). Anyways, they're barely mention at the end. I kinda wished she and the novel ML got retribution but FL and ML don't care about them. Novel FL always lost to our FL lead as always.

When FL helped ghosts to help them with their regrets, FL got some rewards without even knowing and ended up kinda biting her back because people thought she was being fostered.

Showbiz was mediocre, FL rocked the industry like other stories does which caused 1 of the antagonist to be jealous. Let's be honest, if you get compared to a younger one and you have been working for many years and lose to them, you'll get upset. I don't just justify her actions but a bit understandable.

So yeah, this is a good read if you want some dog food and sad moments. <<less

The romance is very slow. Think of it like two elementary school children falling in love and that’s how slow the romance is. The main couple have 0 experience and really learn as they go along. There is no.... I’m superior so I just know like in other CEO stories.

For the enemies.... thank goodness they are NOT brain dead. What really gets me in many of these stories is how other girls just have to fight to the death with the FL even though there is no “killed my entire family” grudge. Since they actually think, they back down when it looks like they have no chance.

On the ghost side, the way it is written..... they are not that scary. You have to see it from the FL point of view to understand why she is so terrified. She looks at a crowd and seeing over half are ghosts.... no one else notices but she sees. The ghosts are there to terrify the FL and not the readers.

Since the romance is slow, the story goes through FL and ML character and shows how they think and their reasoning. The love builds up gradually as the story progresses. <<less

Absolutely mesmerizing. I read this on MTL and the plot was so beautiful it even brought me to tears despite the read not being the clearest. I definitely recommend this novel. It is light and down to earth story but surrounded with an ethereal concept.

Slow-burn romance story. After transmigration, the MC is focused on her career. She has the ability to see ghosts and only with ML's presence (touch) can seal the ability. MC is very cute when trying to find excuses to get closer to ML because she's scared of ghosts BUT the ghost thing is sometimes a bit too draggy.

For a show-biz story, there's barely any good story line, mostly focused on the exorcism-related part. The villainous characters are not well written, in fact they barely have any role - mostly the... more>> story is focused on ghosts/MC love life.

ML is not a cold yandere like most of those CEO types, which is a big plus for me. He is a very low-key rich guy and is always very supportive of his wife. <<less

In this story, the author caters and strokes the MC excessively. The stroking I don't mind but the catering is to the point where the situation or scenario becomes a little unrealistic and dismally predictable. Many scenes containing fortunate conveniences. It's like the author has given the MC both the golden finger and perfect luck.

In addition, I found 2 plot holes in this story. They're not big so it's not a major issue but still, they're there.

Also, I don't know if it's the author or the english translator but I... more>> noticed the word 'exquisite' is used too frequently. Again, not a major issue, but it stands out. Overall though, the english translations are good.

All in all, I don't think I really like this author all that much.

So far, all the ghosts in this story are 'pg13'. Hence, the story is not scary and there is really no danger. There is also no intrigue with any of the ghosts interactions. The author doesn't do enough with each little ghost story. It's basically quickly summarized and resolved swiftly with no looking back. I noticed the author tends to use this summarization technique during the mcs' acting career too much as well. This type of writing feels lazy or amateurish; like the author doesn't know what or how to write it.

This story has a strong start. It's good in the beginning but, by the time you get about halfway through, the story becomes frustrating and tiring. I am sad to say that I was only able to make it to halfway through chapter 126 before I no longer cared about the MC, ML or this story.

After saying all this, I only have one question remaining... Can an author fall in love with one of his characters? It almost feels that way. But of course I could be wrong. <<less

It feels as if the author itself forget that this is a transmigration novel halfway into the story, and roughly patched that up in... the epilogue. There's a slight mention of her transmigration that did not really fix the whole thing.

So far that's my only problem with this novel since everything else seems quite decent (although kinda dull cause too wish fulfilling).

The story have a good start till the first half. After that things became quite boring and linear. The romance is kinda boring slow burn and dragging.

It wasn't bad per se but it dragged a bit and kills the mood, so I decided to stop at c114. I like the MC and ML's characters just the storyline cud b better. Overall ok.

Overall story premise wasn't the issue.

Lots of interesting events (MC can see ghosts and helps ghosts with their troubles). ML was pretty interesting but his OCD was only really an issue at the beginning. Later on the author seems to have forgotten it.

The biggest issue was probably the writing. The translation is edited MTL, so the language use is very basic. The author also doesn't have very good writing skills or skilled vocabulary. There's a lot of "tell" without showing, very bare/basic descriptions, and scenes jump around a lot with... more>> crappy transitions.

I wouldn't blame the translator or MTL for the quality of the writing, that's definitely the author's responsibility.

It reads like elementary school level, but at least the writing is easy to understand? Just not very exciting and can drag because it's not very well set up.

In the end, the concept was good, but could have been executed a lot better. I recommend if you like skimming and if you're super into celebrity/acting/secret relationship tropes and are willing to suffer through the writing. <<less
