The author dragged the story longer than necessary (they confessed to each other around chapter 90) but at least this novel is a good enough read to kill time while stuck in the car with my family on a roadtrip lol.

Translation left me very much confused because it was missing A LOT of written parts from the raws 😔 it honestly need serious editing but thank goodness google translate was very readable!

Aside from the main couple, I genuinely think the 'slow romance' tag can also be applied to the readers - LOL

In all honesty, the beginning of the novel wasn't really all that great - not appealing or captivating, but instead very much cliche and lackluster. Obvious plot holes here and there - where some part had no logic or sense at all. Translation quality also starts off on a bad note, which just made me more or less feel slightly unbearable and impatient when reading this.

However, I'm glad that I... more>> bore through the beginning as you can gradually see the author picking up on the pace of the story and similarly the translator also made an improvement in their translation. The overall premise of the story was interesting and kind of unique so with the author managing to execute it properly just made the story even better in the later chapters.

I really loved seeing the interaction and dynamic in the main couple's relationship - very adorable, hilarious and heartwarming. In addition, the author also managed to execute the entertainment circle aspect of the story pretty well - which adds on the overall appeal of the story.

However, do keep in mind that this is a complete light fluffy read so don't regard the novel too seriously as it's fairly pure and simple - I mean there is still some glaring plot holes but very easily ignored as long as you don't put your mind to it.

Hence, this novel is light-hearted, fluffy, cute, funny and fairly interesting. The beginning was a complete let down in my opinion but glad that I stuck around for the middle onward chapters, therefore having slowly but gradually fallen in love with this novel - HAHA (#slowromance#). I do recommend. Happy reading~ =>o^ <<less

UGhhhhhhh!!!! It's soooo cuteee!!! The misunderstanding is just far too lovely! He's being misunderstood as a poor man while he's literally the C.E.O. Of the biggest company. While she's being misunderstood as a cute but a little weird wife. FL has a pure Yin body that makes her see ghosts while ML has a pure Yang body that can scare away any evil spirits in the area. She sticks with ML because she uses him as a ghost repellent.

And everything is just hilarious and cute AF!

This novel is such a... more>> wholesome read, this is definitely a 100% recommend novel!!!

But if you want to feel some sadness there's also the ghost side-stories. Those were quite bittersweet. ㅠㅠ Edit:

Scratch that. The last chapters were a roller-coaster of emotions. (Mostly feels)

But the last omakes healed my heart a bit. ㅠㅠ <<less

Your average transmigration novel where MC becomes a celebrity and was somehow forced to marry a rich guy. I'm not really sure how MC and ML really fell in love with this one considering ML has the personality of a rock. There's also ghosts in this story but they're just plot devices to allow MC to cling to ML. Read it if you like this kind of story, but the plot was unnecessarily bland and most of the arcs don't really have much to do about anything.

The ML is super patient and tolerant toward the MC weird jokes and attitude lol. He is the perfect type of man. Find you a man that constantly dotes on you even when he's not in love with you yet. Which is one of the reasons why I constantly keep up with this novel. I love this type of ML.

The MC is very scared of ghost which is why her nature is a little jumpy but it's cute when she clings onto the ML lolol.

This novel is super fluffy and... more>> adorable. Translation is 5/5. <<less

What I notice right off the bat is how DISCONNECTED the writing is. I'm sure it's not a translation issue, because the problem lies within the lack of emotion characters have with the situation they face. When encountering obstacles, they do it very oh so matter-of-fact-ly, the only couple clear emotions transmitted to the reader is that the FL feels either mostly scared from facing ghosts, or awkward dealing with her husband or just downright bored.
It's so hard to immerse yourself into the story and make sense of what's... more>> going on since there's no tension nor do you feel any sympathy for the characters that are terrified and tensed up.
Descriptions are also often repetitive, which takes down the already-low reading enjoyment again another notch.
Spoiler

The ghosts in the story, other than their gory appearances, are not even that scary, but the FL is so damn jumpy at everything, it's not like she can smell the blood so it's like watching a movie or working with gory props, she's a former celebrity too, get over it, woman. It's nothing you have not seen before.

There's no plot. If there is, it's burried in the endless fillers that made this novel possible.

There is no direction at all, and there are information we were given that seems like foreshadowing but no, it never came up again.

The author can't seem to figure out which part of story s/he should focus on. There's too much s/he wanted to cover, but writing was mediocre so it just felt like a chore, at around Chapter 60 onwards, it got so boring, and novel had no business being a 140+ chapters.

After all that filler

The rate is for the effort of the translator to painstakingly translate this novel, because otherwise, one star is already generous. <<less

This is probably one of the best Chinese CEO-Entertainment novel I've ever read. After reading everything, I felt so happy that they finally got together in the end.

There's not a lot of drama in this novel. It is more of a very touching and slow-paced romance between two people destined to meet and fall for each other. The FL is admirable. She wasn't too cold or too kind. Although her skills make her a bit Mary Sue-ish but she was still pretty realistic and passionate. The ML is probably one... more>> of the best, if not the best, CEO ML in these chinese novels lol. He wasn't domineering, doesn't show off his wealth, not arrogant, and not forceful. His character development was well-written. He started off as very cold and ascetic to this adorable, cautious, and caring husband.

Also, the origML and origFL actually didn't cause much drama (i.e. Chasing the two main leads because of regrets or gold-digging) and they actually stuck together to the end. The other supporting characters were also pretty good and are very helpful to the story.

Spoiler

I also like how they explained as to why the FL 'transmigrated into a novel'. Apparently, the FL and ML were husband and wife in their past life but they died tragically without enjoying a married life. When both of them died, they regretted that they weren't able to be together so much since they genuinely loved each other. This caused the FL to have a sense of attachment to a hairpin in a museum that was given to her by ML in the past life which led to her being s**ked by the hairpin and being sent to the identity of Ye Sui. ML and FL slowly but surely fell for each other with the push of the condition of ML getting rid of ghosts for her (from her sight). They both encountered tribulations as a couple and sacrificed themselves for each other, so the gods took a pity on them and let them spend a lifetime together.

This is a really heart breaking book. Not bitter revenge or anything.

FL is very nonchalant, her will to live is to avoid ghosts or help them. There's only one incident where she got injured by it (important event).

ML is cold. Indifferent. He's on the top of the pyramid and doesn't care of anything until FL broke into his gray world.

Spoiler

FL and ML are lovers in their past lives like way back in the dynasty. Prince was a soldier who led wars. On the day of their wedding, the general informed the prince of an attack. Prince had to leave but promised her that he'll be back to love and respect her. But he died in the battlefield protecting his comrades and the same day the princess died in the fire where the prince residence live.

They enter heaven and spent years looking for each other but when it was finally time to reincarnate, they met each other but their memories has been wiped. Feelings were too strong that they cried but didnt know why.

Then in the present, when FL was in a coma after the incident where she was hurt by the General ghost's sword protecting that stubborn piece of sht exorsist because he insisted all ghosts are evil even tho FL and ML are telling him that their wishes has been accomplished, they met FL and ML, their masters back then. They couldn't enter reincarnation because of their regret. Finally that fool left and the ghosts left too. Back to FLs coma, I didn't really get why but she just started falling asleep alot then stopped waking up. This really wrecked the ML because she is his light and family. His mom left him because of her postpartum depression, she abused ML and the dad is even cold to him. He had 2 half older brothers but they died in accident and this blame was pinned on the head of the ML because a fortune teller said he brings bad luck and should marry FL so he can live past his 30th bday. They got into an accident cuz she saved him from getting hit by a drunk driver. She confessed last minute.

Anyways, FLs soul wanders around the ward and tried to communicate with ML with writings. Which worked, they went to buddha and he wished to something mix his life time with hers and even take half of his life so she can wake up again. They met again in spirit form and finally FL woke up.

They had a little boy who also sees ghosts.

[collapse]

Honestly, the 2 female antagonists aren't that bad. They're s*upid tho. Especially the novel FL (lol). Anyways, they're barely mention at the end. I kinda wished she and the novel ML got retribution but FL and ML don't care about them. Novel FL always lost to our FL lead as always.

When FL helped ghosts to help them with their regrets, FL got some rewards without even knowing and ended up kinda biting her back because people thought she was being fostered.

Showbiz was mediocre, FL rocked the industry like other stories does which caused 1 of the antagonist to be jealous. Let's be honest, if you get compared to a younger one and you have been working for many years and lose to them, you'll get upset. I don't just justify her actions but a bit understandable.

So yeah, this is a good read if you want some dog food and sad moments. <<less

Love the premise and the leads. This is the first novel I actually MTLed. It's a fluffy story and later on has lots of sweet skinship as well.

Like I've stated in my other reviews, I am tired of the cold, unfeeling FLs as well as the black-belly obsessive MLs found in most c-novels. Sorry, not my style. Here we have a sincere but not naive FL. The ML is the type to only exist in fiction (sigh). He's has almost zero EQ at first but you can see how his... more>> actions change into endearing ones. Also, the build-up of the romance is slow, just how I like it.

Spoiler

My favorite moments are probable when they were trying to seduce the other when, unbeknownst to them, the other is already in love with them. I'll re-read this once it's completely translated.

This is one of my most favourite novels here. I MTL-ed upto ch100 which wasn't completely unreadable.

Regarding the story, it isn't a face-slapping novel, while there were a few of those, but it was mostly focused on MC, ML and how they deal with the supernatural.

MC is strong, idgaf kinda person. She's able to deal with most things thrown at her (except for ghosts..) She was already an actress so showbiz is easy peasy for her. Don't look at the desc. She ... more>>
Spoiler

actually doesn't think she's doomed just cause she's married to the ML who seems to not earn. Rather she thinks that she can support the both of them through her work. Even when she inherits a billion dollars heritage, her first thoughts are that she can now afford the ML XD

[collapse]

The ML is my most favourite ML to ever exist :') He's so supportive, even when MC makes all kinds of excuses to get close or need to do things because of ghosts, he just indulges her without exposing or questioning her. An example would be when
Spoiler

they go to MC's home and MC decides to help her neighbour's ghost by climbing his house's window and looking for a checkbook, ML just silently follows her and rather asks if she needs help climbing and helps her too, and doesn't even question.

[collapse]
He also isn't overbearing to the point even when waking MC up, he thinks he shouldn't touch her without her consent. We also get to see the process of ML's world, which was still without a ripple, slowly open up because of MC.

The story is more focused on MC and ML falling in love while dealing with the supernatural. We meet people and ghosts who have an unfulfilled wish who get helped. And in return, they give MC opportunities as gratitude. Other "enemies" are present but they are not that important since they can't come between our main couple. The story so far has both comedic and somewhat heart breaking elements, but doesn't get too deep.

All in all, I loved reading this one and always keep up with the updates on the translated chapters cause it's worth it. <<less

The FL was just cute and makes up so many excuses that no one would believe trying to get away from those ghosting. ML was a simple example of IQ100= EQ0, so a guy without knowledge of romance. But a decent guy that respects he's wife even if they didn't have any emotional connections before. May seem heartless and cold but actually quite kind and patient husband.

Hopefully this doesn't get dropped, I really adore the characters. Keep up the good work author and translator samas.

not that good, not that bad, just ok I guess.

The whole she's afraid of ghosts and runs to ML to rescue her got a bit stale after dozens of times.

Romance was slow but had it's moments.

Oh and it's another one of those novels with the (imo missused) "pregnancy" tag where it actually doesn't have much impact on the plot. She only gets pregnant in chapter 142 out of 145

The story is not bad, but I could not honestly say it's good either. I find it very superficial and contrived. If they were in a different type of business/industry, perhaps they could get away with the character setting for the ML, but it's the entertainment business, how can that even be? As for the FL, the author seems to be confused or couldn't make up his/her mind on how to portray her as -- a heroine or a delicate flower to be protected? The characters and the storyline are... more>> just not very believable. <<less

Honestly I had high expectations for this, so maybe that's the reason why I got let down. I really love showbiz and marriage of convenience, you'd think this would hit my spot but somehow it didn't really work out. I didn't even manage to stay for 5 chapters each before getting distracted. Somehow I managed to finish it but its so dull and just plain uninteresting, the mini antagonists are shallow and so are the main CP.

There is no dimension in their characters, and the ML is just... there. They... more>> just fell very flat but it would be good for a fluffy no brainer read. There's a part in their past that kinda just made me feel weird because it was inserted so randomly. Anyhows. my verdict is it is flat, dull and boring. The face slapping isnt even that satisfying.

HOWEVER just as I said earlier, this would be very good for no brainer fluff. <<less

First and foremost, I would like to express my gratitude to the translator who managed to take time to translate this novel.

This book seems like it was written by a 15 year old who threw in as many tropes as possible. The premise is there and it has a lot of things that makes it promising but it is all ruined by sub-par writing and so many plotholes. I don't know whether its an issue of translation or it was written by the author in that manner to begin with.... more>> I compared the translated version and the MTL version and came to a conclusion that it was all down to the author's inability to give depth to a promising storyline.

Plothole No. 1
- there are no explanation given on how FL is able to see ghost. All of a sudden she can see ghost

No.2

-sure, she was a celebrity before she transmigrated that's why she is great

No.3

ML described as hot sh*t president of an entertainment company would be so willing to take back FL who chased after his nephew the whole time that she was married to ML before FL transmigrated. No logic whatsoever even if you want to write it in such a fantastical novel. ML is also sum hot sh*t male president who's better at hiding than a secret agent

I appreciate the effort that the author and translator took to complete/ translate this book but honestly, don't bother reading if you are used to reading well written novels.

This novel is juvenile and I would not deign to insult the other reviewers who rated it 5 stars but this novel really isn't it. I am more upset at the fact that it had such a good outline but the author failed to deliver it through due to the shoddy writing. I really wanted to like this book but I cannot go beyond chapter 15. <<less

I finished reading this on another site but the chapters were not cleaned up and fully translated like the chapters posted here (by that I mean I did not understand some idioms and it at times was like broken English).

that said, I would give this 100/5. In some ways this reminds me of the Kdrama Goblin in terms of quality, depth and the fact that she sees ghosts and my love from another star.

Summary: Ye Sui transmigrated from her universe to the novel universe. Here, she is the ‘villainess’ who... more>> is a tv star and interferes in the relationship of the ‘hero’ Sheng Xui and the heroine ‘Chang Ying’.

Ye Sui is supposed to be the character who the ML dates as a replacement for Chang Ying while they break up. Why? Ye Sui is the villainess who mimics Chang Ying’s white lotus innocence while concealing a heart of evil. In the novel, the fans and everyone know this and she is dubbed Little Chang Ying for imitating her and trying to rob Chang Ying of her stardom. Eventually the ML realizes his wrongs (in the book) returns to Chang Ying and Ye Sui is forced into obscurity. To further complicate things, Ye Sui is married to XUI’s youngest uncle, Sheng Shu (aka she is a femme fatale who married into the family for stability and to make xui jealous but the man in the novel is a boring wastrel who loves off the families wealth).

Since Ye Sui was a celebrity in her old life, she wants to stay in showbiz after the novel MC’s get together and her goal is to follow the plot and get them together. This way in her mind she avoids the plot of novel death (metaphorically not literally). As such, she plays her role well although she finds Sheng Xui to be extremely arrogant and shallow I.e. Sheng Xui has never really had to struggle like everything is handed to him.

So, Ye Sui is literally on the verge of completing her plan and focusing on herself. She ends the relationship with Xui (it doesn’t really exist it is more like she has been dangling herself in front of him while Xui struggles with picking her or Chang Yi), blocks him from her accounts and is about to divorce her in universe husband whom she barely speaks to (they are complete strangers).

Now, her in universe husband is Sheng Shu. He is essentially an unemotional block who is ignored by his family. Not exactly mistreated to her eye but about as interesting as string. He is very particular and organized and quiet and lives off a trust friend. The total opposite of the charismatic Xui who, though from the older generation, is not expected to inherit. He never raises his voice. Aside from his beautiful face he is extremely u interesting.

BUT Sheng Shu was born with an abundance of Yang energy.

Ye Sui, who is Brimming with Yin energy awakens and sees ghosts everywhere. And it terrifies her. So she no longer wants a divorce and now wants to find excuses to touch this personal yang charger!

That is the premise!

now, it is very well written, and the romance is a slow burner and builds so naturally with a lot of character development. Female Lead is extremely endearing and very similar to the FL from my love from another star drama in terms of eccentricity. But she is very unpopular and hated by most, internet people but she does not dwell and it does not bother her. ML has his own interesting back story and they have such a beautiful love story.

The ML is not a push over but he is not arrogant. He is sooooo understated and that has a powerful impact, and watching his steady development of feelings....I don’t want to spoil anything but there is a reason for everything in this novel and the antagonists are closer to reality and not crazy psychopaths. I recommend. And it is roll over funny. The FL is just so funny. <<less
