It's a no need to think, no complexed plot kind of story. Most of it was just a cute fluffy romance between the MC and ML.

Personally, I think the story is enjoyable to read even though the plot might be a little easy to guess.

The story arcs are cute and fluffy. But there were times that I became bored and just skimmed to many parts just to get the gist of that story/arc. Even though the concept and the flow of each story is the same, the character's style and temperaments are just so-so and very one-dimensional and that makes it more boring. It lacked being dynamic and too very cliché.

For me, I love simple BL stories like the cliché ones but the characters need to be in my tastes and also impress me... more>> with the storyline. But this novel, the MC and the ML is just so OP that the world just conform to their needs and there's really no bloody angst in this novel compared to the arc plots.

Nevertheless, I still liked the purpose of the plot of this novel but it's really one-dimensional and inflexible. Yes, its cute and fluffy but its not enough for me. <<less

Honestly, to me, this story is just average.

Obviously the main character is a mary sue (essentially) and basically nothing can get in his way. Throughout the entire story, the readers won't feel any tension of fear because they know that, no matter what, the main character, Gu Huai, will be able to overcome the "challenges" (I put quotation marks here since they don't even feel like challenges since it's obvious the protagonist is gonna way every time).

However, I still quite like this story. It's a cute and light-hearted story that's... more>> just fun to read if you want to one out and just read something that's not very heavy and still interesting. The main thing about this novel that really kept me reading was basically that: the story. I was always curious about who the system was and what their goal was.

Overall, this is just a cute, light-hearted fluff story. Truthfully, I prefer the author's another work, "I'm Not Human" more than this one, but that's mainly personal preference. <<less

I started this novel because I read the alien stand-alone first. Tbh the storyline isn’t as bad as it could have been for a qt systematic novel. tbh it was actually far more interesting than other system base/qt novels.

the MC was observant when looking for his lover and didn’t rely on some dumb marking but basic understanding of his character. although it gets boring some times and the author tends to over explain, I still felt it had the ability to be really interesting.

however... the translation is pretty bad. I... more>> know there are some that have touched on it and said it’s disjointed and more than likely an mtl but honestly I feel like had the translation been done better the overall story would have been upgraded by a level or two.

currently, my brain gets stuck rereading sentences that don’t make sense and then I have to pause and figure out what the hell is happening and who’s speaking or what they’re trying to say. it gets old and while I wanted to finish it, the translation makes second guess whether I should or not.

i actually kind of liked the MC and mls relationship. one wasnt possessively aggressive and it wasn’t all about s*x. I enjoyed that it was about action and how ML treated MC even if he was emotionally stunted.

really dk where to go from here. to drop, or not to drop that is the question. <<less

Very cute, sweet and full of fluff novel.

Spoiler

The MC is very pampered by the ML and his family. Every chapter is full of fluff but in the last chapter of every arc you feel sad and a bit happy, a mix feeling indeed. But overall it is a good novel especially if you like fluff novel.

Honestly I loved I'm Not Human but I guess I don't really like the author's other stories, including this one... I'm so disappointed :' (I wanted to love this story

I really don't like love at first sight stories, and that's exactly what this one is. Furthermore, I don't like when the MC is hardly useful on his own but ML is just so OP it doesn't matter, which is also what this story is. Lastly, I don't like when everyone easily loves MC for no reason, which is exactly... more>> what this one is!

Look, I know so does I'm Not Human, but I can't explain what makes that story so much more enjoyable than this one.

The arcs are also too simple or convoluted. Too simple meaning there's barely any big problems from beginning to end, too convoluted is best understood by looking at the mermaid arc which is simultaneously about half-fish mutants and spiritual yin-yang ghosts???

Although it has such problems, it's actually still relatively okay? I did end up skipping more than half of it though...

Btw, I feel that sometimes the translation is wonky? At least in the beginning. Not that it's MTL, but it feels like scenes are missing or transitions are bumpy; this is not necessarily the translator's fault though.

I think the better version of this story is Everyone Knows I'm a Good Person. Even the arcs are kinda similar lol <<less

I love fluffy bl and qt stories so this is definitely my cup of tea. Unfortunately I dont know if I have a headache or what but the translation is disappointing, its better than mtl but the structure of sentence needs polishing.

Its so sad for me to drop this because of the tl which I did not expect from cg.

I will give an evaluation similar to the one I gave in "I’m Not Human"

I recommend this novel to anyone who wants to read something fluffy.

Don't expect a story with a deep script, deep characters development, fantastic fights and well-planned villains. This is a story to read and think "how sweet!"

... more>> I recommend reading first "I'm Not Human" (the translation is better and I feel like I could understand the characters' feelings better by reading INH first) and soon after read "The King’s Game".

My rating is 5 stars because I was only looking for something sweet and that's exactly what I found. <<less

The most Gary Sue novel that I've ever read.

The fluffs so sweet that I've diabetes ?

Even though it's episodic, there're only couple of worlds. They're not as intense as FOD (Face of Devils) my ultimate favourite, but they're rotten to the core with sweets everywhere, and anywhere the protagonist was, ML there to safeguard him. Plus don't forget the world consciousness also bodyguard him as families.

Geez, talk about spoilt rotten ?

Good for lighthearted read.

Despite obvious flaws, I did enjoy this fluff novel, mainly because I am a big fan of chinese transmigration novels and fluff in general. But if compared to other similar novels I read, this one is lacking in many aspects. The author's messy writing style, lack of proper world-building or story-building or even character-building, over-emphasis on just fluff and neglecting other aspects of story, the bad translation and bad editing all contributed to the negative reviews. Still I did manage to understand most of it since it's just fluff and... more>> simple plotline all the way.

This book is all about the fluff between ML and MC, and between MC and his 'family'. The author does exaggerate the fluff quite a bit, waxing lyrical about a simple hug or a kiss. If it was written well, it would have been great but it's written so bad, often I would read the fluff without grasping exactly what's going on, who is touching what, who is hugging what and who is talking to who?

The thing that annoyed me the most is the author neglecting plot construction and development. As such, it completely removes the adventure and fantasy build-up that I enjoy a lot. The author cut off all the descriptive elements of each world, for e.g. the whole mechanism of taoist cultivation, the science and magic behind the robot age, the whole background story in the mermaid world (for e.g. why MC is a merman, why he can walk like human, why he is the only mermen left)... not asking for drama but simple little details that is kinda expected in any fantasy fiction.

Probably following fans' requests (and hate, most likely lol), the author 'rebooted' the first chapter of this book, the zerg world, into a new title 'I am not human' and did a better job. The zerg chapter seemed to be everyone's favourite but I wish the author 'rebooted' the whole book, since it was so interesting. <<less

Very well done. Haven't read such a detailed and well explained fan translated novel in a long time. There's only 5 world, but everything makes sense! ML is super lovely to MC. I feel like MC could be a little better developed in terms of skills because there were some things he was good at that didn't really make sense, but overall very enjoyable and reccomend reading. Only wish there was more.

I enjoyed the first arc very much due to the rare point of view from the Zerg side. It was nice for once that they do not get obliterated and a nice change from interstellar ABO.

I decided to drop in the middle of arc 2 because the story had become very boring. In the beginning, I thought the author was doing world being. However as the story goes on, it becomes very repetitive and boring. It almost felt like the author is chasing word count.

Spoiler

The story become quite flat as the MC is being pampered all the time and not facing much hardship. Sure he has a mission but he has a big fat golden finger with the whole spirit world behind him.

[collapse]

I am not sure if I want to read the same thing over and over again. While I enjoy fluffy novels, I also crave meaningful plot. Not all quick transmigration novel is created equal. <<less

Not my cup of tea. Super boring for me...

There's not much game element to the arcs; the protagonist just need to wait for the completion actually. Plus, ML comes to like MC outright. The story is full of fluff though.

Chapter 134

Important tags for me personally: family love, pampering and overprotective family, OP characters, world hopping, MC has it easy, light hearted story, good developed background story, the existence of the system is explained and 'logical', fluffy relationship, 1 x 1, love interest falls in love first

MC = marry sue, clever, flower and peace loving, good moral conduct,

... more>> ML = overpowered, fixated on MC, is pampering and caring torwards MC

Arcs overview: (caution, contains spoilers)

Arc 1: interstellar universe (Zerg family)

Zerg x zerg (both have a humanoid form)

Arc 2: cultivation world (spirit beast family)

cultivator (amateur/novice) x Spirit elder

Arc 3: modern (human family: past as the top gang))

Tags: Childhoodsweethearts, School, Underworld, accident, amnesia

Arc 4: modern/fantasy (nightmare clan)

Mermaid × dragon (humanoid)

Arc 5: fantasy/technology advanced (robot family)

Human x robot

Arc 6: god realm (background story, *)

Spoiler

higher existence and creator of the game x main rule with a physical body

*His family = rules and sub-rules (that he created) of the worlds he created.

I like this novel, I personally found the ending to fast paced and would have liked a few extras, but I can defently recommend everyone to read it! Also the translation quality is great! <<less

Honestly, most of the reviews have already explained the pros and cons of the story. I'll just put in my two pennies. I've only gone halfway through the 2nd arc, but God! This novel is BORING!!! I like the fluff and the fact that the ML is non- r*pey, but that's ALL he is. I couldn't find any other personality trait in the ML or even the MC. There's basically zero communication between the protagonists. The ML is really doting and lacks communication skills. And the MC is just going... more>> with the flow after arc 1.

The MC is supposed to be fighting to win a game but all I see is wish fulfilment. Where is the challenge? Really?
Spoiler

In arc 1, MC is zerg king and everyone doted on him instinctively. That much is understandable. The MC who lacked love in original world, also fell in love with all the family members. That, I can bear.

[collapse]

I honestly understand why the first arc is how it is and I like it a lot. But I don't get why the author had to repeat almost everything in the 2nd arc. I liked the 1st arc as it had a new take on zergs. So, I was really excited for the second arc and it left me super disappointed. Anyways, you could read it for the fluff bit that's all you'll get. I can't wrap my head around the non-existent plot anymore. I guess I'll be dropping it. ? <<less

I was disturbed by how similar the first arc was to another story I read awhile back so I stopped reading and went to look at the comments to see if anyone else noted the same as me. A skim through and it doesn't seem like it, but fortunately the other story was easy to find and I realized the two stories are written by the same author.

Still, my first impression was really bad so I'm just going to shelve it for now. I don't plan on reading any more,... more>> but I might. I can't reliably say if it's any good or bad, but I can say that the first arc was not plagiarism. <<less

Read this without reading the reviews and just the "description (synopsis) ", so can't complain much.

Typical QT but with only fluff (or pampering of the MC) and an innocent ML that's super OP.

(He starts sort of a blank slate face-paralysis cold-to-anyone-except-the-MC and doesn't develop into the "domineering" sex-hungry type) (at least that's what it seems like)

... more>> No challenges. ML and the pampering crew solves everything. Makes me wonder where the title came from.

After finishing two arcs and starting the third, I felt like the story could have just been the first arc and then some ending. Wouldn't be surprised someone finished the whole thing and told me that.

If you only want BL fluff, go for it. The characters are very likeable. Verdict is B-/C+.

If I only consider the first arc then this could be a B+.

I love this novel. It's just a sugar fest.

I normally one of those people that hate it when things are just too easily resolved but this one... I give it a pass. It's just too sweet. I don't even care about the plot anymore..i just want to continue to read about how the MC is doted on by the ML and his people.
