Yes.. another story full of cliche. Its like reading The Man picked up by the gods... but the pet monsters is different. There's a slime, a silver wolf, baby dragon, an a talking carp.

While his power and skills were trained by his OP Parents and a Sage Grandfather... he conquer many hardships with his harem.

The story is good.. but there's nothing new. I would give 5 stars if the settings is not too cliche...

Read it if you have a lot of time...

Good translation wasted on a below average isekai. If AIs wrote novels, this is what you would get. Boring dialogue, whose only goal seem to be praising the protagonist, other characters seem to only exist to gush over protagonist, while he himself seem to only express 2 emotions - sadness over past trauma, and being slightly troubled over all the people fighting over him. Oh, I'm sorry, forgot the anger, at completely ridiculous enemies, who are in general completely boring clichés.

Best character is a fish

3 stars. I'm currently reading volume 7 at syosetu thanks to good old Google Translate-kun. The storyline is close to Tensei Kizoku no Isekai Boukenrouku. He's OP, loved by the gods and those cliches. I like these kind so it's okay. What I don't like about it are the... girls.

That's the problem with every damn isekai/harem novels. No matter how strong and smart the protagonist is, he is always getting dragged by the collar and letting the girls harass him. The girls are also so s*upid they always jump to... more>> conclusions, accuse him of bad things without evidence then throw a tantrum and demand unreasonable things to the protagonist. Heck, even his s*aves can bully him. And all he can say is "ehhhh?! I did not!!! Ehhhhh?! Help!!!" Wtf is that? Is he s*upid? <<less

Poorly written, sad excuse for a story. As soon as the author no longer needs a character they are killed off.

The author had already set it up that there were no younger people in the village because they all left to become an adventurer and yet, instead of the MC following the same, the village is attacked and the people he cared about all killed. After all, what's the point in staying in a half destroyed village where the people you care about are dead?

It's not like there was a... more>> good reason for it. To provide some kind of motivation for the MC. Nope. It was solely to remove the place he was happy to live in. In the current chapter, the motivation for becoming an adventurer is because you can't sell monster mats unless you're registered and he's running low on money.

I think, individually, the ideas the author has used were good. Whether he came up with the plot himself or used ideas he liked from other stories doesn't matter. What -does- matter is that after he put them all together what he ended up with is something that reminds me of anime where there's a censored image of failed cooking or that one where it's like sludge, seems to have a face and moans? Yeah, that. This story is like that. <<less

It's a good read, though the chapters do seem a bit short. So I may have to wait it out until it reaches a higher number. Outside of that, it's an interesting read. With bits of comedy thrown in.

This Isekai isn't anything particularly special, which isn't' necessarily a bad thing. It is generally well written, characters are consistent, and after volume 1 the story begins to move at a pretty good pace. The biggest issue keeping it from 4 stars, which I would otherwise rate it, is that the new translators are using unedited MTL. Volume 3 is incredibly hard to read, especially the dialogue. This would be a "definitelly read" if someone else picks it up, otherwise its probably not worth the effort.

Typical Isekai.. So far so good, pretty decent OP start which is fine with me as I like OP characters. But the translator stopped at chapter 7 and never updated since. Such a shame since I was willing to read the whole novel if it was continued.

In terms of writting, I normally dont like too much info dump since its not that hard to imagine a world of swords and magic (also there being dozens of stories with that setting already so no need to describe everything) so its pretty... more>> ok, but in some chapters, he time skips quite often and missed on small events like parents being surprised with his talent moments. Felt like author wanted to skip childhood as soon as possible.

If anyone picked this up I would still read it. I agree with gonzhilaz that its a little like man picked up by the gods but this one doesnt have a speedy translator like jigglypuffsdiary <<less

Halfway through volume 2. Writing is actually good but then after the V1 I don't if the author lost his inspiration but it seemed like he was trying to cram all the cliche and dumbed it down to preschooler fantasies.

Case in point. What would be a menacing B rank monster?

A bear? Too common. A shark? Yeah that's cool but still missing something. A crocodile is also good. Wait, let's make it a Crocodile Shark! Just mash them together.
