I'll give this a 3.8. There are a few times that I feel certain conflicts and information are just left unaddressed leaving the reader to wonder what on Earth happened. It is a good story though. The timeline does jump around a bit but it is still very much worth a read.

pretty good:))

it was a typical fan service novel lmao, doesn’t mean it was bad at all but don’t expect any massive plot developments but just tons of fluff

tbh I definitely see the svsss influence, but both novels have their charms this was a decent read in its own right. I needed a lighter read like this after reading something like Thousand Autumns :P

The story is good and it have its own charm, though it have a little similar outline of SVSSS like transmigration and raising the protagonists, both stories have their own charm. So there is no need to think of them as similar stories.

Here ML is clingy but in a good way and he'll never hurt MC. Though initially MC finds it hard to accept that ML loves him, he'll adapt to it and recognize his own feelings but it'll be slow and steady. They'll be in relationship for the more... more>> than half of novel so it's fluffy and adorable.

In SVSSS, MC won't trust ML for more than half of story. Here it's different, they trust each other and love each other, but the events always separates them. But they'll unite every time. And it has a HE. And the system is here just for name sake to help MC, it's not a strict system rather the system is the captain of the ship😂.

The story also have very good side couples. <<less

This novel is a bit like the knock-off version of Scum Villain's Self-Saving System. There is a plot, but it's pretty flimsy. (Who reads these novels for the plot, though, am I right?) The MC and ML are pretty cute together, and they have some hilarious moments, but reading about them did get a little boring after they got together. From then on, it seemed like they were just repeating their past interactions over and over again.

What really stood out about this novel for me was the cast of side... more>> characters! I loved Chu Sheng and Third Shidi especially. I wish that the author had spent a little more time exploring them and their relationships! The side characters are why I ended up sticking with this novel and rating it well. <<less

Not bad, pretty good and I like it, 3.5-4 for me. It's funny enough and cute but I feel like there are a few points the author could have made use of to push the novel into the memorable/great category. One of which is the comments box. The MC goes for long instances without checking the box when it's common sense to check it frequently. Doing so, he would have figured out the genre shift from stallion novel to BL and it would have been funny to see him figuring... more>> things out from the growing number of fujoshi comments.

Another point is the side characters, who feel more like cannon fodder or cardboard cutouts and aren't that interesting. I don't know maybe SVSS has spoiled me but... giving the Third Disciple a name can't be that hard, considering how that character appears a few times and shows care towards the MC.

Also, I feel that if you're gonna write smut, then you might as well write it all the way, or skip it, else it feels like a cop out.

There's nothing too bad about the novel, but it also doesn't have anything particularly memorable either. I'm currently still reading so I'll have to wait and see. <<less

I didn't finish this novel. It's good and the translations are well written. The problem that I have is that the romance is too fast for me like 'you seems different, I love you!'. Just because someone's changed, you will fall in love? Where's the logic in that? Because of that, I feel like their love for each other is not genuine. It's too sudden.

Hmm.. I get the 'The scum villain's self-saving system' vibes in this novel really. Like how the both male leads have unstable personalities. Both main characters have also almost have the same personalities that I'm wondering if this is somehow their next lives. Anyhow, this was a good novel, a pretty funny one actually, and I enjoyed it.

Not recommend it if you come for serious plots in detail with well-done and convincing characters' development. I was disappointed by how the characters are so bland. It is okay for a fast-pacing light read in ur leisure time.

This is actually my favourite novel, in that it has all of my favourite tropes. And I've re-read it many times. A possessive love interest, who gets jealous and was the first to fall in love? Yep! Yep! Yep! Sign me up!

In terms of literary prowess, there are better novels out there, but to be honest, what this story and how it was written offered me was exactly what I was after when I first found it. I must be on my fourth or fifth re-read of it now.

Whenever I'm... more>> in a bad mood, I default to it.

Chu Yu, our (shou) MC is a typical shou transmigration protagonist. The utter shock at being loved by the ML (gong), Xie Xi, who is a pretty typical representation of a lowkey yandere love interest (he is very sticky to Chu Yu, once he falls).

If you're looking for the next booker prize, you won't find it here. If you're looking for happy, healthy relationships, eh, you'll find an eventual happy one here. The ending isn't diabolical to Chu Yu's health in any way, but I would not call their love the epitome of realistic healthy love.

Oh, and as for the translation... I'm a big fan of BCnovels translations, so no complaints here from me! <<less

This is a fun novel. Very similar to SVSS but I don't think that's a bad thing. It's not groundbreaking but that's fine, not every novel has to be, it's still a very fun read.

Now that it Finally ended I feel bitter. I didn't knew it ended until I read the comments. I thought the story would continue as ML parents were exposed and need help but...... well, it ended suddenly but now that I think of it, it ended ok.

I love lots of couple in a story but I prefer more if there were only 1 couple Because intoducing lots of them to us and not giving full detail on their story and romance is such a tease to... more>> us. Only 1 or 2 chapters is not enough for me, I want to know more about Shizun story and ofcourse Shizun as uke. (He's uke). And ofcourse I would like to know more about other couple too.

Although I really did enjoyed the whole journey but it's really sad that nothing big event happen...... I mean our MC pretty much stole all the limelight event of our protagonist and the ultimate boss was sealed before ML, our Novel Protagonist got the chance to fight. (I don't know why but I was kind of hoping our ML going to darkside.... hahaha). People who enjoy story that focus more on romance will definitely like this.

RIP to the original Owner of MC body. He was actually not a bad guy unlike other villain. Chu sheng was one of the most relatable character for me. Bro~con to core..... except that I am Gong/seme and he's shou. <<less

The interaction between the MC and the ML is really fun, I just want to yell at the MC to understand later about the feelings of the little ML and love each other!
But our MC is so s*upid, the little ML gives him so many clues but the useless one doesn't get it, even the comments tell you! Oh my God.
Mc's family is adorable, especially his older brother, I adore when he's jealous because of ML.

This novel is hilarious, I really like the comedy on this one! Even though some says that this is similar to SVSSS, but it's not really!

This novel has it's own good plot! The ML and MC are cute, 90% always flirting ¯\_ (ツ) _/¯. ML is your typical sticky yandere boi who will go crazy when something bad happens to MC. The feelings of the MC and ML starts on the early chapters, so from that their character development slows down. I love the development and characteristics of the supporting... more>> characters simply because they don't feel like 'air' on the story. My favorite character is Chu Sheng!

Though it lacks on emphasizing the character development of the ML and MC. For example, I noticed the feelings of MC to ML was way too fast! I mean atleast emphasize the feeling of the MC falling in love! And the ML's attitude to MC should gradually change not like it suddenly flipped just like that! It has a lot of cliche scenes that makes the plot a bit shallow but it's ok since the execution to the story is good.

I'll give this a 5 since I'm very fond of comedy novels that made me atleast chuckle. I really enjoyed this!

Is it worth it? Yes, read this if you want to smile!

Recommended? Totally!

Will I read this again? Maybe, when the time comes. <<less

In many respects, I found the main character to act more like a female than a shou. It's not that he didn't have the strength and wear-with-all to change his own fate, but most of that happened off screen. So the main character could have been swapped out with a slightly spunkier girl. That's not what I want from a BL. I switched to reading yaoi because the main characters didn't hinge their existence on their significant other.

The MC is just too clueless, it's already getting tiring. ML acting as a cute junior, while harboring R-thoughts is also overdone...

The ML's feelings seemingly changed overnight, from a scared kid, he very quickly became a overbearing CEO who monopolize MC. Too unrealistic... even for a transmigration/cultivation story...

Even thought I give this story a 4.5 in my book, I am not blind to it's flaws. But I also think people are exagerating on some things.

Yes, this kind of trope has been done to death. Yes, the characters are a bit "archetypical" (is that a word? But you get were I'm coming from.). Yes, the martyrdom of MC is annoying. There's plenty of reasons to not like this

But the translation is top notch, the pacing is perfect, the story in itself is interesting. It's not boring, and it's... more>> an easy and light read, tcoupled with a good amount of fluff. And it's not only well written in a sense that the plot is good and cohesive, the action/dramatic scenes are written in a way that makes you really feel the tension of what's happening.

And if I see another person comparing this to SVSSS I'm gonna lose my f*cking mind. Although I know that it's inevitable, because the premises are the same, I don't think it's fair to say this is tr*sh just because it didn't focus on deep characterization like scum villain. I too, love svsss and think it's amazingly well written, but when I feel like reading something light and good, I go to THIS novel. The author didn't want to write heavy drama, and that's fine. But they exceled in what the wanted to do.

Anyways, I'm not gonna be like "haters gun hate lulz this story rockz!! Read it", there are flaws or just things that depending on your preferences you won't like, but I believe that it has objectively okay writing at worst. So seing 1 star reviews, I can't help but think it's kind of dishonest.

If you think you can get behind on/like those types of characters and dynamic, I think you should give it a go. It is a very enjoyable read

i love this. I had a lot of expectations since and it delivered, beautifully. The pacing is good, the characters are likeable and you can't help but wish for a happy ending for everyone, yes, even third shidi. I can't wait to read the extra hoping for a few mores glimpse of this world. To be honest this is one of the most enjoyable reads i've had recently.",)

Worth it! I tell you this novel worth your time~~ I haven't read the extras, but the ending is not that statisfying for me

Because, my fav chara is Lu Qingan, so I kinda want more chapter just to know what happen to him and Shen Nian :<
