First of all, I’m very grateful to the translator because this novel didn’t seem easy to translate. There’s lots of ambiguity, likely from the fact that it was translated but there’s many reasons as to why I gave this novel such a low rating. I think the little comments by the Translator were more or less the highlight of what would honestly be one of the flattest pieces of fiction I’ve read.
SPOILERS AHEAD

I can get behind a Mary Sue protagonist. A lot of times it’s kinda funny. Or perhaps... more>> the weak or passive protagonists who want to “white-wash” or redeem their original bodies/selves trope would make for a good read. There’s all kinds of typical protagonists you’ll find within this niche genre. I’m pretty open to most of them as well. But what this entire novel so far missed everything that makes these stories good, or even bearable. The overall chemistry and relationships of pretty much everyone is summed up to, “we used to be childhood friends, from the day I met you I thought I saw an angel” or “ wow you’ve sure changed”. In general nobody other than a few minor character other than the love interests are introduced. None of them were really explored either.I’ve only read the first twenty chapters. I get that there’s likely gonna be more backstory or maybe even possible character development, but that doesn’t really matter when all I know about the characters are “damn your creepy af” or “ this guy is just here to serve the plot”.“ They only establish the fact they are childhood friends as if that’s enough to make me care. Even the POV written from other characters make me feel uncomfortable. It’s like I’m reading “I’ve been reincarnated into an otome game but all the capture targets are abnormal” but imagine that all the male leads just didn’t have a personality and Mystia was just as passive as possible. It’s really a shame too because I think that this novel could have a lot more potential if they elaborated more on the main character, his relationship with his family, the fact he literally had an entire life before all of this and he kinda just seems to accept it, and the fact that he just wants to accept the fact that all his friends will one day abandon him. There’s honestly a plethora of reasons I just don’t feel anything for this main character. I would still choose him any day over the male love interests I’ve been introduced to so far.

Hirota is who I assume is gonna be the ML. He’s the first character we meet and also THE CREEPIEST. Brief description, 17-18 years old, 3rd year highschool, and childhood friends with Yuu (the MC) and Kenshi their childhood friends and also the second male lead. Hirota is disgustingly creepy. The original Yuu obsesses over him and he’s all giddy about it but ignores him anyways. He has a change of heart when he finds out Yuu could be badly injured and then all his goodwill immediately changes when he finds out Yuu doesn’t even remember him anymore. (Because our MC transmigrated into him). He’s pretty creepy with the fact that he thinks Yuu is “his” and at sone point forces himself on a Yuu who supposedly has amnesia and was only recently admitted into the hospital. Also I think this is good time to mention Yuu is FIFTEEN! Maybe even fourteen at the time, the novel is ambiguous with time skips. For one, Yuu barely knew the guy, and he also didn’t give his express consent and just kinda took it. We later find out that it wasn’t the first time Hirota had slept with Yuu either as it turns out that they were sleeping over a year prior to his transmigration. That’s disgusting. Also Hirota practically watches him constantly as it’s mentioned that he’s able to peer through Yuus window at night through his own without Yuu knowing. At some point he even sneaks into his house.

I never thought I’d be immune to second male lead syndrome and yet here I am. Kenshi, their mutual childhood friend is pretty much a diet version of Hirota in terms of creep factor. Prior to Yuus transmigration, he also had an infatuation with the original Yuu. Going so far as to call him an Angel. He pretty much acted like a tsundere, except not the kind anyone can really tolerate. Its all the toxicity with none of the sweetness all because he was jealous and misunderstood the original MC. It ruined their relationship, but after transmigration not even 24 hours after reuniting with his childhood friend who he arguably treated like a piece of crap, he also forced himself on him. And when Hirota finds out, he pretty much is just like “man you suck as this” and tells him about what he did wrong during the act. Then they end up sleeping with Yuu together. Yuu pretty much just calls them pervs and THATS IT. They don’t respect boundaries and their half assed apologies and c r e e p y af POV’s make me feel nothing but the feeling of my blood pressure rising at the fact that the MC doesn’t reprimand them even once. The MC BARELY knows these guys. He’s yet to unlock any memories and he kinda a blank slate as he doesn’t seem to remember his past life but considering he can feel guilt or sympathy Im sure he can also feel anger or injustice too. Honestly there’s a few other characters that he ends up befriending but I find that the pre-highschool junior high arc is too rushed. I don’t feel attached to anyone at all. In fact I had to stop reading after Yuu gets sexually assaulted by someone during a school trip and is saved by Hirota and Kenshi. The fact Hirota didn’t punch the ever-living crap out of him is beyond me. They weakly portray different kiemen tropes such as the black bellied alpha male, the misunderstood tsundere, and who I assume is supposed to be a player? I think the only character I felt remotely attached to was Yuus father. Basically the poor guy works his bu*t off to five Yuu whatever he wanted as a kid as he is the only family he has left. And he’s just not there in the story and that makes me sad. Maybe I continue the story and update my review another day but until then read with caution. This novel will surely give you problems with blood pressure. <<less

I tried, I really tried to finish this. But I couldn't take it anymore. The writing is not good; it's pretty much all over the place. Lots of time skips, and the only way you have any sort of idea as to what's going on is the narrative, but even that gets confusing after a while. There is no flow to this novel.

Plot line is pretty simplistic, MC transmigrates, OG body was greatly misunderstood, and he builds a harem with the OG MC's and SC's. But there is really no... more>> actual building to the whole harem thing, no genuine emotions or actions - it's practically glance and then let me in your pants.

I think this may have been better off written as a manga then as a novel. At least then you would get to see the setting and expressions of the characters rather than look deep when they are talking.

If you want a simplistic plot, lots of suggestive scenes and not having to think a lot, this is your novel. If you like more complex plots, deep characterization and character growth, do not read this or you will be disappointed. <<less

I can see why people are turned off by this story. I myself had to stop half way. It's not bad, but it's not good either. This is more of a self-indulgent story, the plot is not something you're supposed to think hard on. Everything that happens just happens on the premise of past, multiple misunderstandings that the MC inherited. And that's it. You're not supposed to think deeper than that and just let the story just do its thing.

I think the biggest thing that throws people off is the... more>> multiple POVs. While there's nothing wrong with that, but this story makes it to where it takes away why the MC is the MC. The MC honestly feels like an actual extra in his own story and is simply a pivot point to drive it. Majority of the character development is with the MLs.

This is one of those stories that's meant to be read very lightly and when you have nothing else to occupy your mind with. <<less

I had my suspicions around chapter 4 or 5. Ken mentioned Yuu was a junior high student.

Junior High is Middle School. What the f*ck.

And then we go into chapter 7 and Hiroto goes into a flashback. About meeting Yuu as a goddamn kindergartner. Then later, when he's in high school, he did it with Yuu. That was when I closed that tab and started writing this review.

Oh yeah, did I mention that Hiroto's friend also pushes Yuu down and starts digging in? Yeah.

And I just read the tags and it says r*pe. Maybe I should have read the tags instead of the description.

Put one of those lolicon tags on this shit. Sweet baby Jesus.

tl:dr, read the review by Kefliss, it's pretty accurate tbh also read the tags because they need to add one more because sweet baby jesus christ <<less

I almost rated this higher due to the translator’s enthusiasm and hard work but I would want to leave anyone with the impression this was worth reading.

You’ve got a blowup doll of a MC who exists solely to allow himself to be pushed down by anyone remotely interested, cry and/or conveniently pass out every 10 minutes to ‘regain’ memories that are outright false.

The love interests are boring s*x addicts with no more personality than the MC. The ‘I’m transmigrated as a villain’ plot isn’t interesting as even the original soul... more>> was a bullied doormat. There’s no deeper detail or emotion than there’d be in a jotted down outline that hasn’t been written yet. Read someone’s summary from their review and you’ll have gotten the only details offered.

Entirely and irredeemably boring and completely lacking in any imagination, plot, detail, character depth or actual emotion. The written equivalent of banging a bunch of dolls together and going ‘Now kiss!’ <<less

I regret reading this. Some mls are tr*shs especially his childhood friend Hiro. My favourite ML is Teruki. Author need to add more chemistry between Teruki and MC. He mostly concentrate interaction between MC and his tr*sh childhood friend. So angry. My baby Yuu need protection. I will give two stars just for translator's hard work.

This is basically a plot with no plot... The plot barely makes any sense and their are so many questions left unanswered. I wanted to give up half way through the novel but forced myself to the end.

Ok. Dropped this at 28. The MC is the exact kind of ditzy, indecisive white Gary Sue that usually get their face slapped in quick transmigration novels. I mean, I don't even understand why he does what he does. Don't get me wrong, ... more>>
Spoiler

I won't mind it of there's a harem/ reverse harem if the MC is strong willed and chooses polygamy.. But most of the times, these MCs, both male and female, are just indecisive weaklings being bullied and abused (almost r*ped) by their love interests. The same goes here.

I guess it's my fault for trying it out despite the negative reviews. : ( Anyways, if you're here just for some spicy content, then go. Ahead and read it; there's plenty of spice. But if you're looking for plot, character development or actual romance, there ain't any here. <<less

Im still waiting for extra. I want to read it.

My feeling for this story is complicated. I can say its a fair read. Its not that bad.

Honestly, im not into harem genre. I particularly dont like men so loose sleeping with just anyone without sense of integrity. This is actually my first time reading a harem genre.

... more>> Im hook in the first few chapter. Even though im a little disappointed along the way but I cant help but wanting to finish it.

Looking forward for the extras. Maybe it will get better there? <<less

This story is great for you who looks for quick, light, and a little bit spicy reading. Well, it would be different when you expect kind of character development or plot. Overall, since I looked for light reading, it's good.

I enjoyed this, seriously, I did. It’s a great quick read (about 2-3 hours?) for people who aren’t really looking for plot and just want to indulge in the cliche of reincarnation and harem tropes. The translation is good, it’s pretty cute except ... more>>
Spoiler

there is a r*pe scene near the end- not by a love interest though

[collapse]

I think my main complaint is the supposed main love interest who sucks. He just. He sucks.
Spoiler

Like you don’t even see him that often after a bit, you get a bunch of chapters in his point of view in an attempt to win our favor of the guy but he’s just, ugh, he’s so useless storywise. Less than useless really since he’s literally the source of the MC’s problems (because of his fans jealousy etc) and yet he doesn’t really do that much but feel guilty while legit most of the other supporting love interests are running around trying to do shit. Genbu and Teruki are the best. Legit you will stay just for them. Especially Genbu. I do feel bad for Teruki though, he does the most work overall in protecting MC but gets the least action.

Because of this terrible choice in picking the main love interest I give thee 4/5 <<less

The rating is mostly for the translator's effort. Pretty much giving it 2.5 actually but can't put half hence 3.

Couldn't really recommend, since it's plot had too many plotholes. The characters doesn't feels alive. MC is annoyingly Mary Sue. MLs personality are not likeable. Storyline feels forced to take the direction it goes. Take it just for light reading and don't expect much when reading it.

This basically a brainless BL novel that accepts its place in life and doesnt pretend to be plotty or, you know. Make any sense. It is what it is and what it is is a fluffy way to kill an hour or two. MC is so unbelievably s*upid he almost makes you like him because of it.
