As tragedy befalls Xin Siyue, she soon finds herself transmigrated into a novel world as a character. To her disappointment, she became the villainess who obsessively chased after the male protagonist while scheming to tear apart his relationship with his beloved.

To avoid her death route, Xin Siyue carefully avoided the male and female protagonists at every turn. Instead, she went off on her own to enjoy life. But somewhere along the way, she made a mistake– the male protagonist took notice of her!

Xin Siyue’s eyes teared up as she was being kissed in Chen Sinan’s arms. ‘No! This wasn’t in the plot!’

Well, it's alright. Fluffy and light, but nothing particularly special. A lot of people are hating on ML, and I get it, but at the same time I personally like him hahaha.

Tbh it doesn't really make sense to me how he started liking her. Basically, after she stopped bothering him, he started to notice her? Like yes that's a new soul, but really the only reason he got interested was because she suddenly decided to avoid him like a scorpion. They become so sticky after they get in a relationship... more>> lmao it's a total change from before the confessions <<less

First of all I want to preference this by saying I found this because of the yandere tag. I like male yanderes. This isn't one. It is a possessive male lead though.

People seem to really hate the ML but honestly he isn't that bad. No he doesn't stalk her or anything like people have been saying. Half the time the meet it's a coincidence, business, or people meddling with them. Sometimes he does seek her out of his own accord but that doesn't really start happening until after he makes... more>> his intentions clear to her. I will say he is grabby. Often pulling on her wrists too hard and what not. Overall I found it an enjoyable read. The female lead is pretty outstanding. She's strong and free willed. <<less

I really dont know how to judge this all together.

The twist of the story at the near end is good.

Its just that ithink the charaters are not likeable.

Spoiler

I like how the writer (book that they are in) sent MC, on what seems to be, a curse (tho very useless).

Curse, because she manage to put MC on her written book, where MC was supposed to be killed in a very horrible way. But the useless part was, she did not expect MC to know the plot of the book and can act on her own and not be affected by what she has written.

The author was MC's deranged half sister. She hates MC in the real world, thinking MC took everything from her.

She based ML on the very handsome neighbor (so when MC went back to the real world and trying to trace the book, she end up meeting this ML look alike)

[collapse]

Spoiler

I like the part where she went back to the original world, how she struggled with moving forward while not really moving on (since she's still trying to find a way to go back). I like that the author (book they were in) , explain why she was sent in the novel (though not exactly how), who the author was in MC's life. Not just a blurred out explanation. Its appeasing to know that there wouldnt be an important person for MC who will be left behind after she went back to the novel world (and sad because her mom died.)

[collapse]

So I'd give this a 3☆

I MTL'd the rest of the novel after current chapter 78. Even though the translation is updated frequently, the translated chapters are divided up in halves or thirds, and I couldn't wait to read the rest.

I'd say this book was a solid good read. The FL is pretty easygoing, but not naive or simple. I liked that she actively strives to avoid the original's bad ending and make a life for her own self. I disliked the ML at first, but he does get better as the plot moves along.... more>> There's also a decent narrative about how the FL transmigrated and how her actions changed the entire course of the novel,

to the aggravation and worse from a certain author

.

I'd say the only weakness this book has is that the conflicts and action tend to be resolved quickly, whereas we get a ton of detail about the FL's goings-on and later relationship fluff. Not bad if that's your sort of thing, but I skimmed quite a bit in the 2nd half of the novel because it didn't grab my attention.

Overall, not a bad read. <<less

This is one of the best novels that I read. Even though the troupe is common these days but this story has no nice twist to it.

The story is really a breath of fresh air. I am fond of the plot and theme all around. Its just that MC usually irk me at times. I mean, she acts like a Mary Sue Female Lead with no brains at all that see no reason. The narration made up this whole upright and wholesome person for her but she acts nothing like it. But well... I can adapt with that as nothing being like the typical MC. She just comes out such a white lotus you know.

This novel is really good and the translator is doing a great job so far.

When I started reading this novel I was immediately captivated and although I tried to wait for the translator to update with more chapters, I just couldn't. I really tried waiting but the more I read the previous chapters the more I wanted to read the continuation of this novel and I immediately went searching on the web with no luck ; (

So I found the machine translated version and although my head/eyes didn't appreciated the... more>> confusing version, I went through this novel within two days and I don't regret anything because it was that great of a novel.

I totally going to re-read this novel when is finished. <<less

Started off seemingly cliche but got interesting towards the middle with the author of the transmigration novel also transmigrating, plus other twists in the story. Thanks for the translation, and I hope that the novel can be re-edited to improve on the quality.

Okay so, I thought this wasn't completed yet because the last chapter really ended up abruptly and I wanted to know more so I went for the MTL but my gosh, it really ended there!!! I want to know more about Mo Bei's chase with that girl! His extra and the other characters extras was funny. Albeit, I can definitely see that most of their stories is how a guy is being domineering enough until girl relents and accepts their love and realizing they actually love them too. Welp, not... more>> complaining because I love my obsessive MLs. Although, the forcing a kiss is a big no.

Anyway, I like this story. Yeah, at the beginning it was kind of hard to read how people still kept on pushing them together when both don't even want to associate with each other. But actually, once they got together, their sweet life is so sweet I almost drowned from their dog food. And you can definitely see MLs devotion towards her. He's the one who compromises, although FL also tries but ML doesn't want her to because he wants to pamper her and let her suceed in her career. He's also very clingy and such a passionate lover HAHAHAHHAHA I was beginning to wonder how was FL able to keep her job when she keeps on coming to work late.

Anyway, this is actually a good story. Has pretty good plot and very full of dog food moments. Although, there are a lot of bad reviews and low ratings well, it really depends on taste. If you like obsessive MLs, ones who will never let you go once they realized they love you, then definitely read this. But be forewarned because he is forceful and all. It's fine in this novel because FL was the tsundere type where even though she does avoid but in the back of her mind she really had feelings for him. (Case in point on how she still feels uncomfortable when ML meets or talks with the original FP. Even though at that time she still keeps denying she doesn't like him)

Anyway, yeah. Just check the tags and if you feel you okay with it, then go! Definitely a good overbearing CEO read! <<less

Good translation. I think the story was tied up pretty well, so far. Unlike other 'transmigrated to a novel' story, it doesn't simply allow her to take over the life of the villainess because there is another person who knows that the plot was lead astray. Plus points for that.

Other than that, the story is pretty dull. First of all, the MC and ML are not likeable for me. Their interactions are far from cute, interesting or healthy.

This was one of the first novels I read on novelupdates, I am very fond of it, perhaps that was the reason why my expectations were high. I liked how Xin siyue and Chen Sinan fall in love, what I did not like was the cruelty of the author with the characters of Xia qiao, and Chen jungxi, most of all for Chen jungxi, it gave me a lot of sadness as she falls in love with Xij siyue and then she leaves, something very forced for the novel, something... more>> unnecessary, but anyway... I will not deny that I expected more, as for the protas, this is a story with a lot, a lot of love between the protagonists, not like others novels where only until the end we see how they love each other, well... <<less

Personally I liked this novel thus far. Female lead has quite the brain and I love her "must stay away from male lead" attitude. She doesn't fall for him instantly.

Male lead I do appreciate. Mainly because I do like male leads like this in dramas/novels.

This story is cute, the love between them is admirable. Mc's character is so cool, she is strong and sharp minded. She is not overly emotional or crybaby, She is strong minded and independent. Also ML is perfect match of her, he is totally crazy about her, His eyes are only for MC, He strongly ignored other females (who are longing for him) to avoid misunderstanding with MC.

Spoiler

But I hate the part where MC go back and meet the 2nd ML, the 2nd ML is also cool, but it was unfair to him, and this part was totally unnecessary. I mean it was fine in either world, there's no need to marge it together.

[collapse]

well whatever, I like the story its good and sweet romance. Give it a try <<less

So far the plot is not that bad. MC is still trying her best to stay away from the ML. I am actually enjoying the way the story is written, because the characters aren't annoying except maybe an extra or two.
