Picked up by the Protagonist of a Tormented! MC Novel

Description

A suffering MC novel—the main character must be forced to suffer, be oppressed until they’re hovering between life and death, dying and living here and there. They can have a golden finger, but before getting it they must pay the price. They can also have beautiful women, but all are snake and scorpion beauties, able to look at but not eat.

“Curse” is just that type of suffering MC novel. The main character Xi Wei, after being forced to experience numerous sufferings, had, at last, become the most powerful, at the same time linking together with the world’s qi and fate. After he was oppressed too miserably, he committed su*cide and buried the entire world with him.

Zeno transmigrated, in the end arriving at “Curse of sh*t motherf*cker”.

Zeno was adopted by the MC, finally becoming the number one person/wife.

Zeno: Help, I don’t want to be destined to be raised by this perverse person!

All living things (wipe away tears): You must rescue this world, ah.

Xi Wei: Come over here.

I get why the people find the age gap weird but broooo the story is top notch. There isn't much smexy scenes honestly. The reason why I gave this 5 is how the author wrapped up the story. That's uncommon even in other genres. If they did add smexy scenes, the characters have plenty of lifespan. 😳

I'm still giving this a 5 star review even though I'm pretty disappointed. I like the plot but the way of writing is really bland to my mouth. It's like eating hard bread that taste like mud but you don't have a choice coz you're hungry, I skipped the volume 5 to the last chaps just because I just want to finish it already and not because it taste good.

i pressed four but it came out three oops.

I think this is one of the better power up and become the strongest novels. It emphasizes the relationship with the MC and ML and skips most of the boring bits like finding a random magic herb and when fetch quests do happen there's actual plot and emotion behind it.

I understand what the author was going for with the end but I wasn't a huge fan of the way they got there. However the HE was still satisfying to me so the... more>> three chapters before the last chapter was a bit hard but it doesn't stay dark.

Kudos to the translators they did a good job. <<less

Pretty satisfied with it all, just kinda lost some braincells here and there becuase of the change of scenes within the paragraph or to the next. Example: On one part they're at one place, then all of a sudden they're already at another place.

I hate it when there was one has too much trust and another too much distrust (ML this is u)

There were some characters who never appeared again, kinda missed them.

The chapters when ML and MC were still young was long and arduous (lost some braincells along... more>> the way)

This novel is worth the read, despite its flaws but glad that's over hohoho <<less

This was a surprisingly good read. From the description you would expect a fairly dark story with an unhealthy relationship. While it could be considered a teeny tiny bit dark, it actually isn't. Their relationship can even be considered fluffy. All in all I would recommend to read at least once.

I read this a while ago so admittedly I don't remember much of the plot. I do remember enjoying this book though. The beginning with the ML raising the MC are really cute, and the ending alone makes this webnovel five stars for me. It made me tear up because it was so perfect (it's a happy ending, don't worry). However, at the climax of the book, I feel like the misunderstandings between the MC and ML could have easily been cleared up and the climax had no reason to... more>> be the way that it was.

If the summary sounds worrying, the main couple is actually fairly healthy. The ML does have issues due to his past, but it's not the 'consent? What consent?' type of ML that the summary makes him seem like. ML is very sympathetic and I was really rooting for MC and ML to succeed. <<less

It's a good novel, no spoilers in this review so don't worry.

To get this out the way, this is not a explicit/erot*c BL novel but nonetheless it can be considered for a a bit more mature audience. I enjoyed how the tension between the MC and ML gradually increases and culminates in a very satisfying HE.

Take in account that this story is about an adoptive child (that is 8 years or so younger than the ML) and a young traumatized boy who takes the MC under his wing.

Kinda weird but... more>> entertaining. <<less

Overall story is really good. The phasing and character development is just right.

The MC and ML's childhood parts are really cute. Specially on how the MC start growing up from being a baby to a cute little bun 😊

The ending felt a bit rush and some questions remained unanswered. But overall happy to read that this novel is HE. 😀

Literally love this novel. I completely forgot I was reading it before until the recent extra was released. I was pleasantly surprised and recalled the plot instantly. I know some people complained that the pace is slow but thats exactly what I like about it. It doesn't just jump straight away to when they were adults but theres a good portion of their childhood described. I really like the characters, thought the plot of main story was interesting; unnecessarily convoluted at times you might argue (especially close to the end-for... more>> me at least) , but it is well explained later on-how the situation developed and what led the MC to create that situation...

I really enjoy the 1st extra too. Found it funny.

The premise is unique as compared with other transmigration novels. I found the first half of the novel to be the most intriguing because of this. I do feel it lost its footing later on; character motivations were muddy. Overall I think it's entertaining enough to recommend reading.

I first read the first few chapters so long ago but I stopped reading because I prefer to binge read and finish it all on one go. But the premise had always intrigued me and every time there's an update I had to resist and stop myself from picking it up when it's only halfway there. ML and MC's interaction is so good. The way MC slowly tried to uncover the layers of ML's trauma and lack of trust to the way the story pans out. I do wish there... more>> is more papapa. But beggars can't be choosers.

I highly recommend reading this novel. The translation is always really easy to understand with all the notes and kleep is such a dedicated TLr. <<less
