Beautiful short story, very impactful for its length. No info-dumps, the mystery is for you to discover.

The ending is well foreshadowed throughout, worth rereading.

This is a good short story. My rating is 4.5, rounded it off to 5.

I thought that it's too short but it's enough to explain everything. All my questions are answered at the last chapter!

everything is good for the MC but Im bothered since he lived off as an omega for 12yrs and endured everything for ML. Good thing this is a short story or else, I'll both curse the ML and MC

Argh love the angst and the happy end. Almost wish that this was a longer one. The details are hinted throughout the book and it really comes full circle. This is one of the more unique plots in the abo genre.

This is a lot of hurt with a small amount of comfort that makes it all worth it.

The angst hurts so addictively, and like other reviewers have intimated, a second read through brings a new understanding to some of the MC’s narrative.

5/5 for the children. Delicious. Bruise my emotions more.

I’ll be honest. This story isn’t the greatest story ever. It also doesn’t have much logic to it. But if you don’t think too seriously about it, it is a pretty sweet story. I like the Little Mermaid reference/analogy and I think its pretty cute.

The MC turned out to be the omega wife the entire time. The last chapter revealed that the MC and an omega got into a car accident and resulted in a body swap. However i’m assuming the omega actually died because the MC’s og alpha body was still in a coma. I’m guessing the omega body couldn’t hold on any longer when they had their third child resulting in him going into coma and waking back up in his alpha body.

The MC thinks that the ML only fell in love with him because he was an omega and doesn’t think of his time in the omega body as himself. If that makes sense. He thinks that the ML wouldn’t like him because he was an alpha even if he knew that he was his wife the entire time. In reality the ML actually likes him because he is the same person so matter what. I’m gonna assume that if the MC didn’t get in a coma, when the company was at its worst, the ML might have still fallen in love with MC because he said the reason he loved his wife was because he didn’t abandon him and even risked his own health to help him.

With that knowledge, I’m gonna assume he would have still fallen in love with the MC even if he was still an Alpha. Although it mentioned that they had their first child at this time too so were they married already?? I’m wondering how they started dating?? I’m gonna assume that the MC would either still actively pursue him or quietly help him and eventually lead to the ML reciprocating. Either way he fell in love with the same person and won’t like another.

Anywho, I ended up summarizing the plot because I was trying to sort out my thoughts so I had to edit it a bit. I think its a good short read, especially if you need a break from another story or something.

9/10 would recommend and reread.

I need extra chapters to be honest 'cause it was so fast I could die 😤. But still 5 because it was also good. So yeah read it then reread it again after and then reread it again after. That's what you get for reading this story 😌

I reread this again and came here to give review.

It's 4.9 for me. Almost perfect. The 0.01 point less is for the confusion I got. I think there is a mistranslation/typo? Between Sen Wenshu and Shen Wenxin. I needed to reread the paragraph to make sure if it was Wenshu or Wenxin they were talking about, and it doesn't happen only once.

However, I very much like the story (reread it for the 5th time, I think). It's unique. It's really an Alpha x Alpha, not ALPHA x beta/alpha-turned OMEGA, or... more>> x alpha/beta-disguised OMEGA. I only found three of this kind of stories. The other are alpha x beta, and beta x beta <<less

THIS. IS. GOLD.

It is short but well-written. I am so happy that I had found this treasure. This is the kind of story that can satisfy you but can also make you wish that it can be a little bit longer.

The description can be a little bland but the whole story makes up for it.

Reading this made me feel comfortable, a little angsty, and definitely satisfied.

I think this story was beautifully done. There was something about it that made you feel bittersweet all the way until the end when the conflict was resolved. Although I was able to piece things together way early in the novel (yes I feel proud let me brag a bit I'm not usually good at this stuff), the author pulled me into the story and made my heart squeeze and clench.

So I think y'all will be able to really enjoy this story, whether you piece things together or not, the... more>> story will be a lasting imprint on your mind. It's a story that tells the tale of insecurities that are in no way a match for love.

My only complaint is that I wish the story to be a little longer and the twist a bit more elaborated. But then again, there's a beauty in leaving it just like that too. <<less

I loved this uncontrollably.

You have to pay attention because it might sneak up on you. Let's just say that some of the characters were brighter than the ones who should have known better. Terribly romantic in a relative non-romantic way.

I also love the little mermaid reference!!! Oh dear god, allah, budha and every deity out there I thank you for blessing us with this author! Hahahahhaha but in all seriousness, the little mermaid reference and our MC refering himself as the fish tailed princess using analogies from the little mermaid story to his real life was soo bitter sweet and metaphorically sarisfying that I just want to urghhh- gouge my heart out and offer it to the author. Anyway, please give this a try. It is a read that you would want to re-read or at least read once~☆ <<less

Meh, I had my suspicions but kept thinking like the opposite of the clues lol, this was very emotion-gripping.

I had to read it over again to catch all the clues I had kind of put aside.

Very great read, it was too short tho, but that’s what we all say about great stories.
