In the novel “Forced Love”, the female supporting character Huo Wu was a fake princess who had occupied someone else’s position for 18 years.

And everything she possessed should have belonged to the female lead.

After an accident, Huo Wu’s real identity was completely exposed.

She and the female lead returned to their respective places but she was still regarded by the female lead as a nail in her eye and a thorn in her flesh and ultimately came to a miserable end.

After Huo Wu, a small 18th line celebrity transmigrated into the character of the same name in the book, she shivered.

The female lead’s fighting abilities are too strong, she really can’t afford to offend her.

In order to avoid the ending in the book, she held on tightly to her “brother’s” thigh in order to seek protection.

His golden thighs were exceptionally strong and this top rated “brother” was powerful to the point where there was nothing he couldn’t do.

Initially I was very happy with the story and wanted to give it 5 stars, but after completing it, I don't feel satisfied at all. In fact, I feel quite bored. The last 10 chapters or so was so difficult to read. The story just became incredibly uninteresting

The main character suddenly turned into a Mary Sue. Granted, everything always worked out for her in previous chapter but at least it was done in a way that held my interest. Out of the blue, her real family is rich, her mom is mentally ill, she gets together with her brother, no one has any problem with that apart from her former father apparently, she shoots a movie and wins an Oscar then proposes to the male lead in her speech, her and the second male lead Moze are now real half-siblings apparently

It just seemed like the author was throwing in tropes just for the heck of it. It must be noted that none of these topics I listed were discussed for more than one chapter, some were only a few paragraphs. The writing just got so bad and lazy. It would've been great if the author discussed topics a bit more. Her family for example could've been a great arc instead of using them as a cheap driving plot for the main leads to get together. And most people weren't given any mention after their purpose was fulfilled. For example, the "main villain". After a very anticlimactic confrontation, that was the last we heard about her. The Gu family, they were never mentioned after serving their purpose. Now that I think about it, I feel like I should give it 3.5 but I already selected 4.

Overall, it's a decent read but the writing and plot got so lazy and bad towards the end. <<less

Read this using MTL. The story started out really good with tons of cute fluff but got quite frustrating near the middle half of it as it drags on a bit so I haven't finished it with 12 chapters remaining.

There are a lot of interesting ideas that can be expanded on but the execution is lacking.

    1. University. I thought the author is going to talk more about it but until chapter 80 it was only mentioned lightly. Even the college entrance exam was mentioned more!
    2. Pets. Somehow in a random chapter the MC suddenly has two pets and it was barely mentioned ever again. Plus can pets live in dormitory?
    3. Entertainment circle. I really thought MC would face the Yuqing girl more in the entertainment circle before facing her outside but no. She is really a side character and only has a few lines. Also was looking forward for the baby reality show but not sure if it's going to be talked about or not in the next remaining 12 chapters : (
    4. Mo Ze. Oh my gosh! At this rate I am worried he might not get his own happy ending (family/status/relationship), but hopefully he will. Maybe with Yu Xinxin or someone in the age range....?

I also think having the Gu family is quite a good plot twist but at the same time untimely as it is nearing the end of the story.

Other than that, there are some inconsistencies in the story relating to timeline and characters, which made me somewhat annoyed.

    1. The summer school drama was released few months after filming while the war movie was released a few days after filming... Wut?
    2. Mo Ze should be busy but he seems to have a lot of free time saving MC whenever wherever.
    3. MC was 24 years old but still cried a ton because of a family that she lived with for just a year, when she already knew her background will sooner or later be revealed. And in one second she is calm and composed, in another second will become pitiful in front of ML. Ugh. Plus she is unbelievably dense with just the purpose of prolonging the story -_-
    4. Someone pointed this out but ML seems a bit out of character sometimes, a bit difficult to explain.

It’s cute. MC is kind of an adorable bunny and seeing her ‘brother’ melts for her is quite sweet. But right where i’m at right now, I enjoy their sibling relationship and I am not shipping them.

My problem tho is with the translation and more particularly the chapters cut. I’m always grateful to every single translator for their hard work but I wish they would follow the raws and call each chapter 1 part1 and co.

would give it a 3.5/4 stars at the moment.

Super duper cute

loved their relationship although it started slow, their small moments made me smile and I even cried to some parts. It’s a quick read but it’s nice :)

It's a good story to read n the premise is unique in contrast to other transmigration plots.... not to mention CN novels usually span over numerous Ch n arcs with tonnes of baseless arguments (like supporting characters looking for trouble with the FL repeatedly... it's as if they hv basically low or no IQ..) ... more>>

But I gave it one rating less because one of FL's love interests is her half- brother n her own brother (though not blood-related is her husband)... not to mention I MTLed this one n she keeps on calling her fiance/lover aka soon-to-be husband, brother even when they hv already done the deed...I know it doesn't 'promote' in*est n though it's only lightly hinted n shouldn't be taken negatively but some readers who value 'morality' would find this unacceptable n it does make the plot a bit 'awkawrd' but overall...I think it's a good read...

Note- I MTLED this

Initially, I had a feeling this was going to be similar to THE VILLAINS YOUNGER SISTER (not that I have finished it) but after reading half of the novel I can describe it as a fluff version of IF YOU ARE A DODDER FLOWER, there were some exact plot arc of course keeping in mind this novel is really cute and not at all overdramatic serious

If you really enjoy siblings, not by blood type of thing then this would be good

It was kind of s*upid of me... more>> to assume that the majority of the plot would be not like a sister-brother thing but at least both of them knew individually.

I will not be continuing because chapter 52 was particularlly grating to my nerves so yeah BUH-BYE <<less

Thanks to the translator for doing the beginning and linking the raws. It piqued my interest and I could finish reading the story.

Storyline is good, things progress in a linear fashion and the twists come when you don't expect them. Characters are given sufficient screen time to develop. It's a good read for when you want a break from the other heavy types of stories. I like the progression of the main couple's love.

To be honest, I shipped MC with 2ML compared than the ML. I personally think character of 2ML and his background story far more interesting than ML. I get that ML helped MC alots but he's the type not going to get his own hand dirty. Compared to 2ML, I think he is much reliable person and devoted too.

I am interested even if I've only read the 1st part if chapter 1.

However, one thing that annoys is that the translator posts those 'please read this translation at *insert site name*'. I know it's a method to prevent theft and I have nothing against that, however this particular translator puts the message in the middle of paragraphs, making it extremely jarring for the reader. I much prefer it when the message is posted in grey font instead of black and is posted between paragraphs instead of in the middle.... more>> That way you can skip it in order to stay immersed in the story.

If these jarring messages continue I won't be able to stay interested and will have to stop reading. I'll check out one or two more chapters to make up my mind and see if that aspects improves. <<less

I knew this series from Sleepy Translation (when reading their other translated novels) blindly without checking the NovelUpdates reviews.

I was going to drop it from chapter 1 since it confused me 😆 But I stayed and read 2 more chapters. And here I was, at the end 🤣🤣🤣

The pace of the story was excellent. That's what made me keep on reading until I finish.

The premise was good but the execution was such a disappointment. More than half of the novel was slow... but suddenly rushed on the last few chapters.

The leads got strong halo but lacked depth. This feels reading old Wattpad. So many cringey moments and throwing plot twists suddenly. Also, The monologues were really long that it took time for me to like POV of FL (Huo Wu). Even her actress journey was lacking compared to other novels.

Actually, it didn't bother me that FL ended with her brother (Huo Yusen). Because they not blood-related and only became closed recently... even the agegap was okay bc she's transmigrated when she's already 24yo. Also, ML already realized his feelings when he knew that FL was not his real bio sibling.

If you're into in*est, you must read this. Esp for the few last chapters, I guess there will be people who clamored at the relationship style of FL & ML.

... But since it's not my cuppa tea, I am tortured by reading this novel. I swear: I finished this by skimming--such a quick read.

Squeamish, yet I finished it, what a contradiction: like user @Nokwic said is best to describe my mental state while finishing, "like watching a sordid accident... Just wanna know the end."

Time & time again, I wonder why... more>> the FL is so s*upid despite all her golden fingers, eg:

never use the recording function on phone while being bullied. Always met with an accident, and as the pinnacle damsel in distress, her white knights would appear one after another--this is repetitively happening, without much variations, my brain felt so tired

Plot: so hole-y.

Writing: repetitive. But it helps suppress my appetite & increase my bowel movement, this novel is a weight loss helper just by skimming--imagine if I have to read in depth. <<less

Typical Modern Day Romance Novel. Makes use of the usual tropes. You have the stubborn, hardworking, and coquettish FL who just wants to live well. And on the other side you have the stoic, talented, and handsome ML who gets hit with an FL-canonball and ends up catching all sorts of unfamiliar feelings.

I recommend it if you’re looking for a casual romance novel. Otherwise, it’s nothing too special. Just a fun, sweet read. I personally didn’t finish it, but that’s because I fell asleep and then, in the morning, I... more>> ended up losing interest *sneezing face*.

RATING: 3/5

In my opinion, this novel deserves an average rating. I could have given it a better one of the characters and the developments weren’t so copy and paste. But yeah, there isn’t really anything about this novel that stands out as unique. Outside from the “almost-in*est” romance LOLOL. <<less

How to start. Well this story is definitely a uniqe taste and not for everyone. I would say this story is as close to being in*est as it can get without actually being in*est (besides the adult siblings that both fell in love before knowing they weren't related trope 🤢🤮). I still dropped this story a little after ori FL showed up. Maybe it was because she was too ridiculous and annoying maybe it was because I was having to make excuses and defend the idea of them falling in love to myself in my mind and that kinda skeezed me out I don't know but it wasn't a terrible story. Cute fluffy romance - I had fun reading it (if you're in the mood for fluffy silly affections), but neither the plot nor the characters are so great that I would want to reread it again.

The male lead is the typical Mr. Cold Perfect but is only affectionate to the female lead. Female lead is the typical beauty who needs protecting and everyone either likes her or hates her. Every other character is just coincidentally there to move the story along to its "happy ending".

A very tripical Chinese teenage love story.

Very straight story that you dont need to use your brain. This is the type of story that you can read just for past the time or when you have nothing to read.

But I still have to say this because im the type of using my brain even when reading;

Bland storyline. Like, the author mention ML beauty more than tony stark love his daughter and its all the same words! We get it! His beauty is more than god buddha and heaven so enough... more>> already!

Dumb fl. This kind of FL is actually pretty common in chinese novel so im not shock, just a little annoyed.

Cliche and boring. Honestly, I skipped almost everything. Plot hole, no proper character development and the ending kinda rush. <<less

This was a great mess in the first 120-140 chapters, it was a clear, turn your brain off and drown in fluff kinda novel... Then it became worthless tr*sh.

The story got boring, the show business parts added to nothing, ML did not get much development and his character got weird (you can guess I really love fake-in*est romance, so the weird part I mention wasn't about that) ... more>>

He promised to start the relationship slow since he didn't want to scare her, then in the next couple chapters, his first move was confessing her stating he wants her as a life partner (I think this happened like in the same chapter or after that), he corners her immediately, gives her a hot messy kiss, licks her ear, kisses her in front of their father (I know I know they didn't see him blabla), gets beaten by the father and like 2-3 days later they have s*x. Puhahahah he didn't want to push her, right.

The plot is messy. There are parts that the author clearly forgot to mention. Former FL's actions don't get near common sense. She's just there to make more cheap drama. In the last 20 chapters, you expect to see FL and ML together more often, no, it was about 80% showbiz. Showbiz didn't get mention enough in the beginning then when you expect to see romantic chapters, you get petty former FL and showbiz parts. SO VERY UNSATISFYING!!! Their relationship got dry instead of getting hotter.

The ending is extra rushed.

Plot-wise is 3☆ but I enjoyed it so I gave it a 4. It's a sweet and mindless fluff but author rushed up the ending and crammed in a lot of twists. I was like wtf author? Anywho, it's a good read. But just turn your brain off.
