As a villainess-reincarnation-novel's main character, she is indeed kind, but also wise and intelligent. Most admirably, she raises a conglomerate on her own! The complete opposite of bakarina. This novel is slightly better than all the rest of the same genre.

This was one of my first novels. After long translating hiatuses, coming back to this manga, I didn't find out as good as it seemed back then. I remember I really liked it in the beginning, but after reading many more Asian novels, this paled in comparison.

My character list:

Another story about MC ended up in an otome game being a villain.

The only different is she entered the villain body at the end of the story where she is supposed to be "defeated". But she turned it around and the novel starts from there.

It's a new take on otome game novel, we don't have to worry about the 'end' because she avoided it already in the so called prologue of the novel.
Another thing I like, she started implementing modern things she knows into her action to influence the... more>> society/area. It's hard to find a novel which MC took modern knowledge and applied it in the alternate world.

Our MC is quite a level headed person, I like her attitude. <<less

Actually, I read the manga first before I knew it was adapted from the light novel; and from there, I just fell in love. You can never hate the main character for performing her public duties. It felt like a redemption, a second chance, for her to do when previously she wasn't able to do so. And there was something else which you'll never come across often in novels. I won't elaborate on that part as it'll be a spoiler for you. Each character introduced played their part really well,... more>> and there wasn't unnecessary confusion or redundancy in the plotline. But, there was a flaw where the sentence structures were lacking (I'm not sure as I read the translation, whether the author left it like that or the translator was rushing). Overall, thank you for your efforts, author, and translator. <<less

I really love this story and it's definitely worth the read if you like strong female characters and stories where romance isn't the only driving force of the plot. By focusing more on Iris' story as she navigates the demands of being a noble, the story never gets too redundant or repetitive.

Of course, there are two complaints that I have about the story, the first one being that didn't get enough of the story::>_<:: I feel like I say that at the end of every great story I read, but... more>> seriously, there was one part of the story I wish got expanded more, but that's just my preference. The other issue that some may have when reading the story is that it might get a bit dry when they go over some of the policies and stuff. Economics is not my strong suit and I'll admit to skimming over those parts.

But overall, the story and plot are fantastic, the characters are endearing and interesting, the romance is important but not always in your face and most importantly, Iris is a badass who can more than manage things on her own. <<less

It was such a good read! Highly recommended to the people that want to read about leadership, politics, and independent women.

The ML was also sensible and not the overbearing type.

Even if there are times when you question how she is just so knowledgeable but the way she takes on a situation is just so good.

The character development from everyone is also really superb, some were super touching.

Lastly, the translations can easily be read so another +.

Anyways, give it a try guys!

It’s a very good story about a likeable MC getting past hardships and stuff also with a whole lot of government info, economics and political intrigue, The MC also isn’t too overly smart (like as other reviews say) as the things could’ve been related to his job or something he found randomly on the internet and remembered, it’s not like he invented the industrial revolution or something in there. The pacing is a little slow though and it’s the only problem I found.

It was alright.

4 stars to the translators and proofreaders it made for an easy read. As compared to other translators, it wasn't painful to read.

It was a typical feminist, shoujo, chinese plot.

But. It felt like a diary of a young idealist with not much real experience (still, there were a lot of accurate info so thank you for verifying it with google, but there was no need to let the pace and plot suffer by overloading it with irrelevant info... I was skimming through the pages just to get on... more>> with the story since there were a lot of repetitive info - work-work-work-write-write-write- there are secretaries for that so it would be great to actual google on corporate frameworks, Iris could've been spared a lot of work)

Anyway. The effort is appreciated though. And the good intentions as well as the message has been received.

The world isn't ideal but we could all put in our best to change that. Thank you for your work. <<less

I have a lot to say about this novel but by far one of the best reincarnated as a bad guy in an otome game. I will be updating this review after getting over this great headache I have after reading this far but honestly I will just say this to anyone who reads reviews before taking the plunge-

If you dislike things involving complicated politics, drama or plot twist then this is not for you. This novel gave me a great experience and the props to the author for making... more>> a piece that intrigues me so much.

I put a 4 star because honestly this would have been a five if not for the continuous plot developments. I don't want to criticize this novel because I honestly like it but a problem I have is that the plot continuously thickens, with more and more developments.

The characters are alive and although some are sooooooo static it hurts but from all the political stuff being unveiled and the various actions everyone has to even the smallest thing (hyperbole) it just makes you think about, "if MC do this what will happen?" which the MC also thinks about.

Well all that rambling from me aside this novel to me is an extremely good read but hurts my tiny boi brain so much that I have to stop and sleep- or maybe it is the result of binging?

In any case read it if you want to read some extensive politics, drama, plot twist and are not afraid to see an MC suffer or feel dread for the MC (you know the "MC knows nothing but you do" moments). <<less

Fairly standard when it comes to societal development isekais in that the MC has some knowledge that exceeds what they did in their previous life. It doesn't fall into a lot of very annoying tropes, and unlike other heroines, the MC's existence isn't solely for the sake of becoming engaged to the main love interest, she actually has her own objectives in life.

Just finished reading this. It's very different from the usual otome transmigration novel, well there's not much romance here if that's what you are looking for rather it focuses on the FMC and her management of her fief. I saw some reviews saying that she's too OP with her skill knowing everything but I think they misunderstood or got lost in translation as it's clearly stated that she gathers talented people around her and tells them her ideas and they are the ones executing them, it's not the FMC but... more>> her aides who helps her realize the ideas. Even she states in the novel about how she lacks in so many areas but her aides make up for them. So ai just wanted to clear this up.

Overall, it's a nice read. Different from usual, with a humane MC who is definitely not omnipotent, gets tired, feels lost but never gives up.

Also anyone wanna spoil themselves about the ending check out below. (Tho it might take the joy out of the anticipation)

Its a Happy Ending ya'llヽ (>∀<☆) ノ

This is really good for an isekai "otome game" story. Makes you think about politics etc. But I had one thing that annoys me. The character personalities are quite inconsistent, especially letishia's.

But overall, ????

Story has a good flow and plot. Although I dont really like politics so I skipped a lot of parts I can still say that it is written well. If you want fluffy romantic scenes, there's not much of it here. Revenge part is not great but good enough. Overall a good read.

Rather enjoyable story going on here. Nice plots and progress.

A big issue is the translation turns to sh*t after chapter 57 ish. Basically ever one after japtem turned into a sh*t fest. With poor money grubbing websites. Splitting already tiny chapters into different pages or even totally different sights to shill out for additional clicks is disgusting.

It made the rest of the story unreadable.

The writing is amateurish but the content is just a level above that. It would have been a good, fun quick read but because it's a long series this story started to become draggy and I quickly lost patience with the poor writing. And the more I read, the more the beginner mistakes became apparent. At some point I only continued reading to find out what happened between Iris and her love interest, and future developments with the heroine and her reverse harem. However even all of that fell below... more>> my expectations due to the long drag and, again, really bad writing.

The characters are all poorly crafted and even the few I somewhat liked didn't last- they quickly became annoying. There were even a few moments of OOCness from the main character, Iris recently. Or perhaps you can call it a jump in character development (or should I say, "change" because that doesn't qualify for the word "development") that really came out of nowhere. Her method of dealing with outsiders/people she doesn't have good relations with at the time went from using logic and reasoning to argue with a confident smile or serious face depending on who she's dealing with, to purposely going to what she sees as typical villainous qualities and laughing at them behind a fan. From what I remember, she's never shown any desire or attraction to a villainous image and even if her recent crisis had jaded her, there was still no sign of her heading in that direction. Out of nowhere, when dealing with a person who has wronged her in the past but no seeks her help, she pulls out a fan and giggles between words behind it. I'm not saying she shouldn't treat him harshly or laugh at the absurdity of his request, but the way she went about it contradicts what we've seen of her character thus far in the story.

Anyway. By the end, I couldn't form any attachments to the story, the characters, their interactions, or the world building. I would have given three stars for how much I enjoyed the beginning, but honestly, remembering the last few dozens of chapters I read convinced me that it really deserved a lower rating. <<less

I don't read shojo LN but I like the way the writer put this story. This story is a good read although I prefer seinen but this book has convinced me that it's nice trying a new genre once in a while.

My favorite OTOME reincarnation story of all times. This is the usual otome stories. The protagonist is not OP but a hardworking and clever one. I love how she is not perfect like getting hurt, mad and sad as well but thinks a lot in making decision weighing the possibilities and I love how her followers/servants are so reliable and trustworthy. Thank you so much to all translators of this series. Sending my love!!
