This is one of the stories whose updates I anticipate the most! I definitely recommend it. It starts off a little slow, but that's to establish important plot points. After that, the pace picks up.

Only reason why this is a 4 star is because there are a few errors that are clearly due to inattention, such as missing punctuation or a space in the middle of a word. I was able to look past it, but I'm a bit of a grammar Nazi so it made me twitch every time... more>> I saw an error. <<less

So happy this was picked up by iso! It's been added to my favorites and I am looking forward to its completion. I love earnest characters, they are so cute, and the MC is a very adorable hard worker.

i thought this would have a cultivation story since it has those supernatural elements but this was almost completely all about historical court intrigue and politics. If that's your thing than you'll probably love the story. I'm not a fan. I find politics boring; all the scheming and backstabbing and plotting gets irritating and I get impatient with it. As you might have guessed, this novel was not a good match for me. I ended up skipping big chunks of each incarnation just trying to find some time period that... more>> would hold my interest for more than two or three chapters (i did completely read the first time period and most of the second though). I gave up at chapter 84. I might try it again sometime if it's ever picked up for translation again but probably not. I gave it a 3 because the writing itself is pretty good, it's just the subject matter I can't get into. <<less

So dry and boring... I regret wasting my time reading this. It doesn’t make sense. The romance s just average, and plot development takes too long. This is a QT so it shouldn’t haven requirement of a 300+ chapter novel. Just reading one arc made me feel like I’m reading a 1000+ novel with no development and it gave me headaches.
This is one star for me, the second star should be my regret, so I hope other won’t make such mistakes as me and read this

I got my hand on the lc and it absolutely brilliant plot and as good as always, I mean Fengliu laoshi you know? Their works is my fav no doubt. Although some part is a little bit frustrating in my opinion but I always forgot that frustration in the next second lol. Cuz the plot will keep you going until the end and you will find it not only the beautiful OPness but also a pair of couples who madly in love with each other that even time cant tear... more>> them apart, needless to say god or watsoever.

The frustrating part is that at first MC always described as a BOY with 15-16 yo which makes me really uncomfortable. Fengliu's work always have some sense of shota I guess. But later on the plot keep advancing and you will let go of the uncomfortable feeling. Cuz this novel is totally a fantasy which not placed in modern time. And you will know that since MC die in his own world he is no longer a human being. He's like a monster and god, the novel described MC as Thing that time and space has left behind. So unlike ML even tho he's monster who cant age but he can die and he will not reincarnated. (But no worry and no drama cuz MC's OPness is not just for show)

And the most unique thing in this story that different from other world hopping novel is that MC and ML in this novel is really die and they do separate. No mission, no system, no worlds information given in each arcs everything is for MC to explore it himself and find his way to be with the ML again. So they will held a certain amount of fearfulness and uncertain feeling for the future. BUT there's no particular plot that was heart wrenching but in contrast it actually quite refreshing. Which I personally like it very much!

SO I GREATLY RECOMMEND THIS NOVEL TO ANYONE WHO PASS BY. PLS READ THIS AND YOU WILL LOVE IT!! <<less

I'm actually not really into novels that have an ancient setting since I have read too many and have gotten tired of it already. However, this time I wasn't bothered at all despite almost all arcs taking place in ancient times. I wasn't put off by how similar many of the arcs were either. With similar I mean the development of each arc's plot as the basics could be summarized by the MC helping the ML gain sovereignty.

The basic setting of the MC being a foodie and somewhat childish with... more>> low EQ and high IQ, not caring for anyone outside of the ML and a few selected people stays the same. He does see a bit of character development, though the mental development seems a bit minor and not that noticeable as his growing opness kinda overshadows his personality changes.

The ML in turn sees more obvious changes in character throughout the different arcs as he keeps being reincarnated into different growth environments which in turn leads him to develop different personalities from the past lives. Nevertheless, one thing never changes. He always loves the MC unconditionally, always doting on him and being supportive of the MC's shenanigans.

I liked how there was a sense of continuity as the arcs were connected, be it through the ML's reincarnation or the imperial tomb that keeps on being reused as the MC's resting place in-between arcs. Then there is also the MC's skills and strengths that gradually accumulated that stayed relevant even later on.

As for complaints... I currently can't really think of any. The novel was an easy read and there wasn't anything bad that stood out to me. <<less

its a very heart warming story with enough comedy to make my day happy.. and sad moments to make me cry a bucket......

i specially like that for the first two arc is related in a way that it looks like a compensation for the hard life that the MC and ML had on their first life together like the family stuff, the affection and time they can spend with their love ones....

This novel is really well written and interesting.

The arcs arent many but each arc has a lot of chapters, I just dont remember exactly how much. It is also very fresh to read about how the MC transmigrates at first but later when hopping to the next arc, doesnt hop to the next world but more like reincarnates in the same world just more into the future, like 600 years later.

It goes from ancient china to the interstallar era.

At the beginning the MC was helpless against the supernatural creatures in... more>> the world and had to be protected by the ML because of his status as an otherworlder whose blood can make those supernatural creatures stronger but everything turns around in the next world. It was then finally his turn to protect the ML and his skills + his talents from the apocalypse world make him very OP.

MC's character is quite simple and his doesn't have much ambition he only wants food, shelter and security. With the addition of the ML. It's always so funny when the ML gets jealous but later finds out that the MC cherished his food more than women and even he himself wasn't comparable to food at the bginning lmao.

I don't really know what else to write, its just a good novel with reread potential. The ending just surprised me a bit but I think it does suit the novel.

The mtl version is also so-so, its better to read it after having some experience in reading it. <<less

I should say it was expected from Casanovanic Bookworm to write another good novel.

What I love the most is the main characters - they are strong, smart, resilient and rely on their own powers to advance. Relationship is great too - no useless angst drama - their feelings are sturdy as always. This two points, combined with a thought-out plot, can be seen in every authors novels, and that is a huge advantage.

Totally recommended

I did not find it as quick wear cause the first 2 arcs are really long. It's a good story where the MC reincarnates every after 600yrs (if I remember correctly). Every arc is a continuation of the previous arcs. The story is built up well in the first 2 arcs. However, it somewhat... goes down hill on arc 3 making me skim it. Will continue reading it on my free time

Probably I'll rate it 4- 4.5, rounded it up to 5

God, just finished MTLing and it's SO GOOD! Even without a proper translation everyone can understand the story, totally worth my time, tears, laughs, and everything! There are seven arcs and if you think it's too short, well, you're right! In my opinion, I want the story to go on forever, I don't want it to end. Seriously, the author makes such beautiful and interesting stories I don't know where the inspirations come from! First FOD then this (haven't read her other works yet but will get to it after... more>> writing this review) and seriously, if you haven't read her works yet you're surely missing big time! I don't want to spoil (I also don't know how the spoiler function of NU works) but I sincerely urge you to urgently read this book! You won't regret it! <<less

Like everyone said: each arc is continuous. However plot wise, it’s very very repetitive. Apart from the MC gaining more powers, there’s no progression in terms of plot.

it’s all face slapping. There is no conclusion. Just many many worlds with the same MC and ML.

as the story progresses, instead of becoming more familiar with the MC, I felt more and more distant.

... more>> In terms of character development, MC experienced a lot. ML, not so much.

a lot of weird breaks in the stories like 2/3 arcs emphasising this quality of the ML then after another arc, that quality just becomes a filler plot point that’s mentioned too much with no substance.

most importantly, interesting things that could’ve been explored was forgone. It was like someone took a few ideas, line them up and wrote some random things to stitch all the arcs together.

1) how did he get from his world to this new world?

2) how did he get his powers

3) who is that old man who randomly saw him and thought I should take him to the mountains to teach him?

4) why in second arc, he supposedly ‘replaced’ the real person but everyone thought he was the Person all along, even the parents (even acknowledged that their childhood habits were the same)

5) how did all the magic and everything became a magnetic field power in the last arc?

so many more questions

saya belum menyelesaikannya, sejauh ini saya baru menyelesaikan arc kedua, tetapi saya sangat ingin menulis review karena saya sangat menyukai novel ini sejauh ini, awal membaca saya agak bingung... tapi mulai untuk mengerti dan saya sangat menikmati membaca perjuangan MC sebagai bayi, itu sangat lucu. dan asmara juga manis, saya menangis untuk arc pertama...

This novel is very profound, full of the deepest meaning underlying each arc: each arc has a meaningful statement about love and relationships placed at its core that it develops and illistrates. It seems that it was written when its author was on some kind of religious and/or philosophical trip.

The kind of eternal love between two boys and then two men that it describes is absolute, divine, beautiful and exemplary, but the background of that novel is so bad, so insane and sick, full of evil and grief and unbelievable... more>> cruelty and perversion even towards babies and toddlers, let alone towards millions of soldiers obliterated by sorcery, so much blood and gore that it kills all desire to read it. <<less

I like this but the thing is repeating in the same China ancient era gets tiring. But that's the only negative thing.

I love the MC and ML since the first ARC. I love how MC keep growing with the things he learned step by step. I love how ML is willing to sacrifice anything for MC. The first ARC set up everything pretty well. U like how their relationship through out the novel.

The power of controlling ghosts is very handy, I wish they had modern time arc. Its more like... more>> timeskip towards the middle than transmigration. <<less

Really of the best transmigration stories. Each arc is really interesting and the dynamics between MC and ML is just so great. It's sweet but at the same time a bit angst sometimes, I swear you just can't not like the MC XD he's cute, a bit OP, extremely loyal and just loveable. Highly recommend this novel.

I love the second, third and last world. Even though I don't like the pretty picture for MC, in every Feng Liu Shu Dai novel, the MC must be very beautiful and charming. Both MC and ML are all OPs

That was a fun read, with novel approach on QT story (not exactly a "QT" tho) and novel way to "end" the story. I'm satisfied. Although the last arc was a bit common trope of face-slapping in QT stories, it was an okay as the last arc. Honestly, I never thought the author would actually use the common pattern of QT stories in this story.

My most favorite is still the first arc. I like how they nurture their feelings to each other, and the arcs after are basically how they... more>> throw themselves to each other whenever they met, they seemed to have superb chemistry and hunch about each other.

The MC was a bit too much of a crybaby (only when facing the ML). The ML's obsession isn't too much over the top, it was just enough for this kind of story, I think. <<less

I read this a long time ago and it left a deep impression. While it is heartbreaking at times, it is a beautiful love story. It reminded me a lot of another story that I also liked: Seven Unfortunate Lifetimes, All Thanks to a Single Moment of Impulse.

Due to different circumstances, MC is unable to be with ML even when both want to so it takes a while for them to get together. I cried my eyes out at times, but I was so pleased that I read this story in the end. The romance was slow but very deep.
