Short and sweet. A few quotes in there are really heart killer. Short darma, romantic, easy to read. Even the characters setting a bit depending on everyone taste, for its ok, as a 1st love kinda way. Thank you

Nice story. Fang Zhaomu was maybe a bit annoying at times, but I found him oddly endearing. I found Song Yuanxun to be a very interesting character. His behavior is appalling, yet the way the writer handled the plot and his character, I still felt sympathy for him. I found the romance believable, although a bit rushed after the big reveal. Zhaomu could have used more time to come around after such a huge breach of trust. The author is good at making the characters sympathetic and believable.

The manhua version... more>> is quite good and made me like the original story more. <<less

The first half is really saddening... I even f***ing cried... But later half is relatively fluffy... I wish author did make this novel a bit longer and explained a bit further... But overall it's good.... It's just my preference for family acceptance and I find it fulfilling that's it...

Go give it a read!

I actually meant to give this a 4/5 but my finger slipped ahaha

honestly, it’s a very light novel. The ML isn’t actually homophobic, it’s more of a misunderstanding that he has of the MC because someone told him lies about the MC’s moral character.
it was a light and fluffy novel, finished it within two days since it’s quite short. I liked it but I wouldn’t read it again. I definitely recommend you to read it if you want something light not few scenes of angst.

It has a short and sweet ending.

So it started with a misunderstanding and a hidden identity story, then sweetness occurs in the MC university life. I actually like that its grounded in reality, it isn't too dramatic so you can pass your 30 mins here.

I read this after I saw the manhua and I gotta say I really like it.

There's a good amount of angst and the MC matured well, and for the ML? He reaped what he saw.

I'm still bitter about the other bullies but besides all that this is pre good 4, 3/5

Personally, I didn't find the novel great, but it wasn't bad (tho it prob was because I kinda had high expectations for it since it was like a story where one of them hid their identity, and after revealing their identity, they would pursue them again = where the ones that I already read that had a similar premise were very good) but anyways.

There were not enough scenes for the development of their love - in the beginning, it was like bam, the gong suddenly likes the shou, but the... more>> readers don't really know why (well that's what I felt),
Spoiler

and then the pursuing was pretty forceful as well as the sudden action of the shou accepting the gong's love (felt like he gave in to his forceful love and his own soft heart without showing why he liked the gong).

[collapse]

- all in all I didn't feel like there was enough couple growth and interactions between them - their love was kinda rushed (?)... and instead a lot of the focus went
Spoiler

into how the shou didn't like his research lab at T university and the feelings behind it.

[collapse]

(tho I get that's important too, but the gong didn't have a lot of character growth cuz all of a sudden, we find out
Spoiler

that he's actually super clingy (opposite of the image he has as a cold and aloof classmate) and that he likes to see the shou cry. (... that was super surprising)

[collapse]

But there were chapters that contain super realistic scenes of life and the encounters and problems you may have, so entering the slice of life genre, which is super nice. And yeah,
Spoiler

the revealment of the gong's identity to the shou was super sad and bittersweet.

Short and (kinda) sweet. I finished it all in a day. It didn’t have much of a plot, but it was still good and an enjoyable, quick read. I recommend it!

One of the most beautiful and heartwarming stories I have ever read... The MC is so cute in his own way I like how he is independent and not weak like a lot of other M in other novels.. I also like how he is a little stightforward on his feelings towers the Ml.. As for the MLeven though he is calm but he is not cold-hearted his dislike for the MC in the begening was a bit understandable ... more>>
Spoiler

]since in reality the ML didn't like the MC in the beginning cause he thought that he seduced the director to get the exchange students chance so he prefer to stay away from him so rejected the MC approaching which as I said pretty understandable cause after all no body likes people who doesn't play fair and take other people's opportunities and still he never actually cursed at the MC disrespectfuly..

[collapse]

the development of the story is not slow neither fast and the love of the ML for the MC is beautiful and gentle ?❤️ <<less

I found another Jewel as well,...

This story written so beautifully, the translator also doing their job amazingly,..

This story was realistic, soft, fluffy, and of course,.. can be little sad... I find my self almost crying when the MC fall for Adrew, and so,.. how The ML hidden his identity as long as make the MC comfortable... T-T

Both of them, really, I just want to say, the story was good, really recommendid for everyone to read... If you guys like novel "love stop the rumors" then, this novel for you,... The... more>> story plot was different, but the "taste" was same tho,...

the ML also not an a**hole, the MC also not sissy,.. the feeling so realistic,.. there no cliche plot, not drama quen,.. it just flow like water,... And that makes this novel amazing tho,... <<less

The story is not bad tho it's not the greatest read either. It's short and sweet and that's it.

Spoiler

The story was indeed somewhat realistic but at the same time, it was not. It was said in the story that our MC is naturally good-looking, even comparing the ML with his previous suitors, so I can't rlly grasped the fact that he was ostracized just because the ML didn't like him. He sounds perfectly okay with socializing whenever he talked about his life before the transfer so his situation is a bit unbelievable.

Regardless, I was wowed at how MC reacted when the truth was out. He acted how a normal people would react in that situation. That part was really sad but I liked how it showed raw realistic feelings +1

I also like how the author manage to show the ML's feelings without destroying the ML's established cool and aloof character.

Not giving it a 5/5 because I felt the story lacked proper conclusion, a bit anti-climatic for all the built up drama tho the author probably initially want it to end this way. Still a happy end so all's good.

This is a good read for people who want a fast non-mainstream read. You should give it a try. <<less

I really liked this little novel. I was able to understand most of the characters thoughts and reaction. The characters are quite realistic and have a cute relationship. However, their relationship was built on lies in the beginning. The novel and characters reconize that was wrong. They cause each other to change and make up for what they did. The set up is cliche but the characters made it pushed it to be more than that. I found the novel very sweet with the appropriate amount of fluff and angst.

The... more>> Shou is a little prideful and has perseverance. I like his character, his cute, funny, kind, and logical (most of the time). He can be kind to people he doesn't like but still openly dislike that person.

The Gong, his character is very silent (this causes opening for many misunderstandings) and cold to most people. He seems to put most people in two categories doesn't mind/care and dislikes. There's only like, two characters I would say he likes and one is the shou. He stops being homophobic quite quickly. He doesn't understand liking someone and we watch him change and learn about liking another person. <<less
