I wanted to give it a 4.5 but I rounded it up to 5.0 because I love the MC and the ML, but the MC in particular. He reminds me of the MC in QWFOD. He's very intelligent and knows how people will react to his actions and plans accordingly and always comes out on top in the end. The worlds are various and the plot is rather interesting. The story mainly focuses on the MC and ML's romance and how the MC fixes problems in his or ML's life... more>> while completing the main task. However, the title is a little misleading, but overall, the entire story was very enjoyable.

Spoiler

The only time we actually see the IQ being raised is in the first world. Every world after, the IQ doesn't seem to play a part at all other than being the main mission to complete in that world (and later on, just barely). In fact, huge spoiler, but what's really important are the world fragments as those are the soul fragments of the ML. The real goal is to collect all of the soul fragments so that the ML can be whole again. ML is the new god of the 3000 worlds who defeated the old god who was on a rampage and endangering the worlds. ML's soul was damaged in the battle, and he used his soul fragments to stabilize the worlds (I think... I MTLed the whole thing so it might be wrong)

ah, no. the main character is not intelligent. he does not have a high emotional quotient. he is average at most. he doesn't learn anything new, and his personality is not interesting.

this novel was a massive letdown. I continued reading hoping to see if it would get better, but no. no, it didn't.

the main character was simply vapid! flat! terribly, terribly dry! where was the genius protagonist I was promised? supposedly, he hates boring things... yet he fell in love with the male lead.

anyways, this was, in absolutely no way,... more>> a good novel. not even entertaining. I am 40 chapters away from finishing it, but I just—i can't muster the patience to. to finish it. to continue reading.

the main character believed himself to be so good and wonderful and smart, but, honestly, he was just childish and willful, and not even cute. the male lead had his moments, but those weren't enough to save him. he was just as plain as a white sheet of paper.

every arc was so uninteresting. so bland. the main character's missions? I don't even know what to say about them! "let the male protagonist wash your tail 100 times", or "say hello to the male protagonist 100 times", or "dual cultivate with the male protagonist 10000 times"... i, i—i, honestly, honestly, what is this?

not even one side character was good... not even one. and, the antagonists? what antagonists? every single character here acted as if they were 5 years old. and the prose! what made this worse was that it was badly written... the writer says "the main character solved everything" but how! what did he do! the novel doesn't explain anything! it's just: "oh, the main character has such incredibly high IQ that he solved everything", and then the main character says "how can you not even understand this?", but did he explain? what he did? what did he do? suddenly he hacked this and, out of the blue, a supposedly, SUPPOSEDLY, intelligence organisation has been destroyed. then they don't talk about it anymore! what are the consequences of the main character's actions? who knows! the author certainly doesn't!

this was awful. the writing lacks maturity. the characters lack depth and development. the arcs lack detail and elaboration.

not recommended at all! <<less

I have read this before. At that time I've been trying to find QT stories similar to QWTFOD, Who Touched My Tail, etc.

At first I really disliked it, and I dropped the book early. But then I saw the ratings seems to be high, and many people liked it, so I tried to ignore the other bad reviews and decided to give it a shot (again).

Eh, turns out my decision to drop this before was right.

I managed to read further until arc 2 to see if there's a change that... more>> will help me hold on and keep on reading. But there's none : >, so now I'm dropping again.

The MC is still annoying. Despite saying he's bored he looks like he's rushing everything. Like he's eager for the mission to finish sooner. Also he has no EQ whatsoever.

The ML is meh. He falls in love with MC for reasons that no one knows. Dunno, maybe he short-circuited somewhere.

The side characters are also meh.

The villains, oh, the pitiful villains, who are forced to lower their IQs to highlight MC's 'cleverness'.

And system? What's that?

I was really excited back then : /, because the idea is good, very exciting. This could be a good book to past the time (if you turn off your IQ while reading), but still not a good read for me. <<less

1. System is annoying. They must be computers - easily controlled, no emotions, caring only about their missions. In this novel system acts like a child, and is always "bullied" by MC. Who is annoying too, by the way.

2. MC. I don't know when writers are going to understand one simple rule - by making everyone else st-pid, you can't make your character seem smart. He is just not as st-pid, that's it. No smart schemes too, if you are wondering. He does the bare minimum and still gets called... more>> a "genius". *Sigh*...

3. Ml. He is meh, really meh. His only piece of personality (aside from being powerful and handsome, yeah, 'typical ml'©) was taken away by an author at second (!) arc. And yes, I'm talking about his "0 IQ".

Overall, read this if you have no other options or love mediocre mc's trying to be smart. I'm glad the rating is not 4.5 or more. <<less

Dropped. It's not a bad story, but it's not necessarily good, either. There's nothing at stakes, even after several arcs have passed.

The protagonist is supposed to be smart and cunning, but his intelligence is just average. I mean, is he really smart when all he has to face are villains and cannon fodders with not even two brain cells to rub together?

Also, regarding the system—the system can come off as annoying at times, but I feel kinda bad for it? The protagonist is able to 'solve' problems largely in... more>> thanks to the system, which kinda makes the protagonist OP at times. Yet, the protagonist is thankless towards the system, and often bully it, threatening the system to often get away with things like getting huge discounts etc. It's weird that the protagonist can get away with that with no penalty whatsoever.

I however appreciate the ML, who respects the protagonist when it comes to consent. Man, isn't it sad that the ML is quite liked for that, even though the bar is literally on the ground? <<less

I'll start off by listing some of the good things about this novel:

    • Green Flag Male Lead: He's (ML) devoted and single-minded in his love for the MC. It's practically instantaneous after Arc 1. Also, even in world's where he's really OP, there's never once been a Dub-con/r*pe scene regardless of the MC's teasing. He'll be tempted, but always pull back to not do anything that'll hurt the MC.
    • Actual backlash for scums: The world's that the MC enters to scatter IQ in, show actual change and consequences for the people that misused/betrayed the ML. The revenges for the first few worlds were pretty fun to see go down as well.
    • Tricky/foxy MC: His character is devious and black-hearted, the only one he shows a good face to is the ML.
Now, good parts aside, after reading 100 chapters worth:

The story turned very repetitive and honestly kinda boring. The MC is TOO OP, without any kind of challenge he shows up and outperforms everyone. There's no limitations in place for his system, and the villains are pretty brainless as well, so defeating them requires no effort on the MC's part. Even the scattering IQ bit was pretty much thrown out the window after World 1 because the ML isn't that dumb, obtuse person anymore. He's automatically in love with the MC and capable of standing up for himself, without the MC actually "scattering" any IQ.

Up until World 3-ish the story was still interesting, but it felt like you can only read about the MC showing up and magically 1, 2, 3 being in mutual love with the ML without any real conflict so many times before it gets bland. The villains got lame, the different world settings aren't ever a challenge. Though there was a strong start and interesting premise to this story it turned really mediocre, so I'm gonna have to drop. The story's honestly a 2/5 but I bumped up a star because the translation's good.

For someone so obsessed with IQ, the author doesn't display much, and neither do the characters. All the brain cells were spent on creating settings for MC to exercise his power fantasies, and justifying the xenophobia of the Chinese in Arc 8. Also, in all the great number of worlds visited in this QT, women don't exist except as manipulative parasites (except for 2 random mothers popping out in the last two arcs, handing out flat dialogue), and in every other arc, there is a strange obsession with trampling on... more>> children born out of wedlock. How old is this author again, and how on earth was he educated?? 2 stars. <<less

2.5, I agree with some other reviews, this novel is too flat. I couldn't really connect with the story or any of the characters.

I honestly really liked the first arc. It was fun watching the protagonist recover his IQ and see through the FL, but the author basically gets rid of that after the first story. Yeah MC still has to do missions but I'm not sure what for, the ML isn't s*upid in the rest of the arcs. The writing style was too superficial and didn't follow the synopsis.

The... more>> MC isn't smart, just an as*hole who likes to play with others. I didn't hate him, but I didn't like his character either.

ML is the typical possessive, jealous, goes for many rounds in the bedroom type. His character is really flat in most of the arcs.

Their relationship is meh, it's QT so can't expect much. I am getting tired of the whole ML only wants bedroom play, going for many rounds all the time, and always hurts the MC's waist. Is it too much to ask for a Chinese novel couple to have a healthy s*xual relationship, were both parties enjoy it and it's kept to a normal amount. MC spent most of the novel running from ML or punishing ML for MLs stamina that it got old quick-Sorry rant over

I liked the system named ball, thought he was cute and hated how the MC treated him. Wasn't a big fan of
Spoiler

the dark system the ball creates. Ball basically creates a possessive, jealous, cold boyfriend of his very own 🙄

[collapse]

I did kind of like the futuristic mermaid arc, the message in it was a plus. Just ignore all the incomprehensible things that don't make sense.

The survival island arc was my least favorite. Not just because of the racism, but because the MC hit a new low for a**hole-ness

Really this was the worst QT I've read lately and I'm not even sure why I finished it. Maybe if this is one of the first QT you've read or it's been a while it might be good? <<less

If this was a rollercoaster it would be completely horizontal.

Perhaps I had high hopes for this due to previous recommendations but it turned out to be quite possibly the most boring QT I have ever read.

Other QT I drop because of brain-dead characters or weird plot progression; This is the first I've dropped simply because of how utterly boring it was.

... more>> There were no ups and downs, no tension, no happy moments, even the first kiss of the novel was spared less than a line!

What an ironically boring novel for a MC who supposedly hates "boring things". <<less

I need someone to scatter me IQ after reading this!!!!! Seriously, I've read good amount of qt novels and a lot of them with very basic plotline but this one kinda made me lose my brain cells.

I was deceived by its high rating and few positive reviews and decided to give it a shot thinking how bad it could be. Sigh. Sorry to all those reviewers whom I ignored and went ahead with reading this novel.

Uhm. I'll start off with.

Whattt?

The concept of the book is really nice, but, the novel feels like it's written by an amateur.

... more>> First of all, the writing was just meh.

Second, the author kept on saying how smart and how high the IQ and EQ of the MC is, but I just can't see it.

You know your MC is smart through his subtle and discreet actions, but in this novel, it feels like the writer was just forcing him to be smart, just because they want him to be smart.

It lacks 'spirituality' if I may say.

This novel has potential, and I guess it could be better as long as the author polishes their writing style and learn how to get a novel to make sense. <<less

Readable? Yes. Passable? Yes. Enjoyable? Debatable. Well written? Absolutely no.

The MC is smart but not as smart as the author intends for him to be or how they try to portray him to be. He's technically average, it's just that everyone around him is a f*cking dumbass. Without the system (who deserves better) the MC wouldn't be able to do almost all the things he did. He barely shows off his ability for some bit*h who's bored of everything because of success. Would've expected that he would have a large... more>> set of skills to portray but we barely get to see any of them. He's basically a poor man pretending to be rich. His character isn't bad at all though. It's just that the author tried to make him someone that they couldn't which led to him being that. So if the author didn't try to make him the holy grail he's an okay character. The author truly should've just made him an average Joe instead of trying to make him Mr. Perfect, it would've made the story better and the character better. The ML on the other hand is okay, he's nice and although for some issues he tries to work through them. He truly thinks for the best of the MC and works hard for him. He's lovable and I quite like him. I don't really can say whether or not I actually like him as a character but he isn't a piece of sh*t that's for sure.

Other than the characters, I think the writing has some issues too. The first arc has the most and most noticeable problems. It feels off and not well, it isn't as smooth/doesn't flow (pace) well. The worlds are also incredibly flat along with the characters too. The way the ML also suddenly falls in love with the MC is weird as well. There's also the weird, "I'm bored of everything" thing which never gets mentioned again after arc 2. We can explain it as the MC found the ML and he's the thing which never keeps him bored but we never see him inner monologue that which is disappointing.

The plot has some issues as well. The one that stands out the most is the apocalypse arc where there was almost no zombies talked about and was mostly the MC and ML in their mansion and the MC helping the ML. What the f*ck is that. Literally erases the whole point of the apocalypse thing. Then there's the "face slapping" which could only be considered bullying as the antagonists of the arcs are so puny. There's no substance the plot and the romance is re only thing pulling it though. The romance isn't bad but it's for sure not good enough to actually hold the story together.

The author tried to do something but couldn't. I'm not saying I think the author doesn't have enough brain points to pull off this smart of character but that's exactly it. Recommended if you're bored and just want something to read (as this novel isn't that bad) but if you're looking for something good, this isn't it. <<less

  1. Hmm, well. I guess the only way I can explain this is: average. typical super smart MC - which I don't mind. It's better than the Silly mc's who get f*cked over in each world.

typical overbearing ML- though he's not bad at all.

it's an enjoyable read. Not memorable, but... nice.

the only issue (s) I have:

    1: host/system interaction

the system is weirdly, completely, horrendously terrified of the MC. This isn't strange in itself, but in how the MC terrifies it. Like, for example - when he breaks from his own personality to act as the body he's inhabiting. That's apparently, sooo scary. Ahhh monster Mc!!

Not only that, he also randomly feels bad for the enemies in the stories for ever meeting the MC. Like... ? Bruh, isn't that what you brought him here for? To act as his borrowed body and heal the ml's brain? What did you want him to do, sit tight and watch the side characters off him??

2: how f*cking dumb everyone is

It seems like - in order to stay true to the character design of MC being worlds smarter than everyone else - all characters have the IQ equivalent to shit. They're all really dumb and, in fact, the MC isn't that smart either?? He's just super manipulative and somehow everyone manages to fall for it.

3: how ret*rded the MC acts sometimes

he acts like he has the world wrapped around his fingers, as if he knows EXACTLY what he's doing and EXACTLY what everyone else is doing and will do.

there was a scene in the first world..
    Spoiler

where the female lead asks ML for 1000 bucks. ML whose still somewhat brainless, but not really, gives her the money. MC later explains to the system that a smart person would give her the money.

    huh??

    am I just dumb?

why would you give her the money? That's just inviting a schemer to keep coming back for more. Not only that, it's encouraging ambiguous ideas. Who would give 1000 to someone they don't like? Free of charge???

Obviously you like me. I don't like you, but I like your money. So I'll exploit you.

    how is this smart?

weirdly, the female lead doesn't even think she's exploiting the ml. She just blindly follows her boyfriend and then is, eventually corrupted.

    [collapse]

not only that, but his overconfidence in duping people. He nearly gets caught by the ML so many times it's not even funny, but does he think to stop playing around when he obviously doesn't have to do a goddamn thing except accomplish his (very simple) mission? Nope. He decides to, very obviously, interfere with the romance between the ML and fl, trying to speed things up because he's bored.

yep because he's bored. It's not even charming the way he goes about it either. He just acts like a spoiled brat

Other than that, it's cool. Arcs are kinda repetitive, but not bad at all.

At first it's entertaining but it gets boring pretty quickly. The MC's methods of revenge remind me of ZYS from QWFOD. However, unlike ZYS, I feel like this novel's MC is only able to do what he does because of his system that he always takes advantage of. And the system never stands up for itself. It gets tiresome to read.

I might come back to continue reading this but I don't recommend reading too many arcs at once (like I did). They start to blur together and feel repetitive.

Echoing a lot of the other negative reviews - the MC is allegedly brilliant, yet nothing he does actually reflects a high IQ or EQ. The ML falling in love with him in the first universe sort of makes sense, but it’s not a particularly compelling love story. MC’s plot fixes tend to be contrived, so it’s really difficult to buy in to the idea that MC is a master manipulator capable of getting whatever he wants with or without the assistance of the omniscient system. By chapter 34 I... more>> just got really sick of the unnecessarily mean-spirited and arrogant MC. His sense of justice was also really mind-boggling. <<less

This is honestly a great novel! The MC is awesome & as of the 1St vol, does exactly what the title says - brings up the IQ of the protagonist so that he is not foolishly supporting the undeserving & manipulative female leads :'D

I've heard it isn't required from the 2nd vol though... but idk

It's a fun read, without being s*upid!

It is repetitive and gets boring at times. The worlds, some interesting, get glossed over and are half baked, the attention is focused on the couple, and them two get together fast -always (and often lol, could have used some more details there). Despite the flaws, I liked it. It’s a type of low quality candy that gets addictive the more you eat it. Helps that the MC shou was not gary sue-ish or s*upid.

Pretty much categorizing this as crack lol. I was honestly just enjoying this and taking this as a pretty mid to upper mid tier QT

That is until I got to the Mermaid arc. Holy crap I was just reading that in a daze lol like wtf hahaha that's when it really hit that this really ain't to be taken seriously and if you look at it in that perspective, you will enjoy this way waaaay more lol

Honestly if this had smut I would have given it 5 stars lol but... more>> with the amount of implied rolling around the MC and ML do, I understand why it's not illustrated hahaha

It's not a favorite QT, but something I didn't mind passing the time with. <<less

It’s the usual quick transmigrations with systems novel. The story’s extremely mechanical, repeated plots all over the story. It’s entertaining to some extent, however, the plot is dull, lifeless. There’s no human touch at all.

Our MC is supposedly a high IQ man but was that really the case? The author made the other characters extremely s*upid just for the smart MC’s spotlight.

MC and ML’s relationship feels forced, you wouldn’t be able to get how and why the ML fell inlove with the MC. As I said, it’s forced.

The surprises I got after mistakenly assuming what I’ll be receiving for the most part (from the title alone) we’re many I loved it. I knew that the shamelessness from the MC, tasks and ML (this specific order) would be low but it has refreshed my views into speechlessness time and time again.
This story isn’t a masterpiece since the genre is very popular but the unique twists from the process to the result of solving problems; because of the very nature of the MC. I’m looking forward to more... more>> character development from him along with those flirting lines that I’ll be adding in my notebook {even though I can’t even talk to people irl properly 😅} <<less
