Links are NOT allowed. Format your description nicely so people can easily read them. Please use proper spacing and paragraphs. There’s a legendary Bishoujo Game that has become popular among Japanese gentlemen.
Its name is “ Magical★Explorer” or Magiero for short.
The game’s protagonist has a cheat-like power with12 different beautiful heroines to flirt with, including additional 12 heroines from the DLC, a harem of 24 beauties. I have become that protagonist!………………Not. Instead, I have become the third-wheel character who always laughing like an idiot next to him.
Of course I was in despair at first.
Of course. If I am the protagonist I could have all 24 heroines for myself along with unparalleled cheat power. However, since I am the third-wheel there’s no heroine that would lay their eyes on me.
But now I couldn’t care less about the protagonist and his heroines. Why? Because I discovered magic. While I was using it, I have become interested in it. I want to master it. I want to become the strongest. Thus I have decided.
I would abandon half my role as a protagonist’s friend to train my magic and then I would beat the hell out of that cheat who can solo the Demon King.
………..I was training with that thought in mind, but somehow I keep getting closer to the heroines and furthermore, I don’t know why I keep encounter events like I am some Eroge’s protagonist.

- Interesting magic concept.
- The scarf as a weapon/tool is a nice idea.
What I dislike:... more>>Sure harem is annoying but honestly all the harem candidates are fully fleshed out in here.
Second, MC is not OP. He is strong but until this point it's just that he is precocious. Like a build in a video game, he is carefully choosing what best to use to become stronger. Well strength is not well defined, so it's a bit vague but his limitations and such are well explained. To be precise his lack of long range attacks which... more>>
I normally dislike harem and ecchi series, but this one was hilarious and made me binge on all the current chapters in one day. This is a fun, action-packed training/fantasy/school life/slice-of-life/harem/comedy series. The MC somehow transmigrates into the supporting friend character of the protagonist of an eroge and simply decides to live life how he wants.
Takioto in the game passed off a lot of information onto the protagonist but has a unique magical constitution that prevents him from using emission magic (think Hunter x Hunter distance attacks with zetsu) in exchange for extreme mana capacity and talented enchanting-type magic instead. In the game, this character was mostly used as a shield early on and was then dropped by players when more heroines became available, but he had some other subtle responses hinting to his history and motivation that most players disregarded. Now, these details are much more important.
The transmigrator who becomes Takioto decides to live his life doing what he wants. Since he was an officer-worker from a modern-day world without magic, he instantly becomes fascinated and obsessed with magic and focuses on training it whenever he has spare time, turning him into the hardest-working character in this series. Since he can't use ranged magic attacks, he focuses on what he can do and enhances his melee combat abilities to become stronger. Takioto's parents were killed the year before, which the characters in-game use to explain his behavior. It's surprisingly compatible with the current Takioto. Since he knows the information the original Takioto knew, he casually passes it onto the protagonist when necessary. He lets the protagonist do his own thing without trying to interfere too much or replace him. He just wishes to become stronger than the protagonist at the end. Essentially, he does the important things Takioto in the game did as well as living his own life and doing as he pleases. If the protagonist makes a connection with one of the heroines, then so be it. He is very likeable, sometimes showing a sad expression, but he's easy-going and doesn't fight to steal heroines from the protagonist or anything like that.
Although this was an eroge, Takioto maintains his standards and sense of ethics from the previous worlds, including the famous "Yes, loli! No touch!" and not fapping to anyone under eighteen years old. He still likes to see naked women, but he values his life in this household of women who could easily kill him or make him live a life worth than death, proving that he has quite a bit of sensibility. He doesn't realize he's become protagonist material as well, but he still avoids doing anything inappropriate with the harem characters because he has other agendas and hasn't contemplated on any romantic goals. In the game, he collected everyone and liked various characters, but that's different from seeing them as real people and learning to truly love and care for them. He develops insight and recognizes them as his family and close friends by the end of the second arc. These are people. They are not game characters.
All of the characters have character depth and development, which is rare for a harem series. Takioto and his friends all have their own depth, history, connections, motivations, and plans for the future. Even the protagonist of this world shows depth and changes his personality based on the things he experiences, and he develops a goal of becoming Takioto's rival.
The setting is modern-day fantasy. It is fleshed-out and has a lot of mysteries and hidden secrets that were not revealed within the game. The setting and various floors use imagery to show what they look like. This is a real world, so not everything follows along with the game plot, and there are various subtle differences. Takioto himself is a peculiar oddity, and his identity and past are largely unknown.
The plot is good and moving smoothly so far, although there are many mysteries lying ahead and making me squirm with anticipation.
The only complaint I might have is that there are cliche groping and underwear moments in the beginning of the series, but this is, as repeatedly stated by the narrator, an EROGE. If it didn't have those moments, how could it be called an eroge?!
Therefore, I give this series a 5/5 rating. The people who gave this series low ratings appear to have quit the series too early for an accurate review or evaluated it based on the wrong genres.
