Because my father was an Earl and my deceased mother had been a commoner, I was burdened with a narrow life as an illegitimate child. As a 16 year adult, I have decided to leave the aristocrat family registry and become a common citizen. I wonder if the knowledge I obtained as a member of nobility will help me in living as a commoner.

Will the common people’s wisdom bestowed upon me by my mother as well as the art of living be put to practical use?

Main Lead is aromantic. It was certainly a welcome discovery, because then you weren't distracted from the actual development of the novel and its characters because they weren't shoehorned into romance. You could certainly ship the lead as you read, but could tell nothing was going to happen. Depending on your point of view, you could say it added either a comedic or realistic undertone.

The novel is left open-ended, and feels like you could read a happy sequel, but you can leave it as "walking into the sunset" theme but... more>> without the need for her to be carried off, because she's happy to walk on her own with a smile. Characters are introduced realistically, such as meeting people with their own walks of life but there being no need for everyone to go around with a tragic backstory- some people are just people, after all. <<less

It was a decent read and it does keep you engaged but it was a bit long and roundabout. I got tired of the repetitive internal monologues the female lead had and wished she did more. The story and character development could have progressed better to make use of the 87 chapters published.

FYI if you're looking for romance there is no romance in this novel 😭 I will say I was disappointed by the ending because there was no romance. The author tried to insinuate some romance but not really.... more>> It was very awkwardly in there to just fit it under romance or shoujo genre but not actually well.

Also as someone who didn't read the summary, this isn't isekai or reincarnation, just the time period with Noble and commoner status differences. <<less

When I read the description, I thought a different story. A girl who became a commoner, her some problems while she was and how she can get out of them with her old noble knowledge... However the novel I read definetely is not. That's not mean I didn't like what I read but I expected more. Even I was reading I hoped she ll try to live in slum and I ll see how she solve her problem but the author just wrote "After 5 month" WHY? Really why? She... more>> kinnaped in those 5 month but we did not see. Why?

For me, This situation is kinda wasting a rich and improvable plot.

Also I hate Roberto and Ludens. Lance is kinda ok but he hadn't a lot of scene -maybe main reason-. Count Noir was another improvable character but author just showed us two or three times. I'm so angry. d*ck should have had more scene, again. Probably, he was the only person who could be Ayesha's future husband in this all situation. So frustrating!! (Everyone talks about Way but he is not my type I guess, so I'll pass)

Whatever, I like the MC and telling her strugles inside the story. I like the translations. If we ignore the author who doesn't care his/her characters and wastes his/her plot, I like it. <<less

Well, this wasn't that great, but not that bad. The FL was way too mild and poorly depicted and don't get me started on the males characters!

However, despise being frustrated and angry most of the time, this series did make me laugh quite a fair bit, and I read it 'till the end.

The author sunk the ships way too abruptly but I was very glad that romance was out of the picture at the end, it was kind of fresh.

I'll Still give it a good grade for it entertained me... more>> for some days. <<less

I started reading this series thinking that the premise would provide lots of room for the writer to write a compelling story. In spite of my hopes, I was sorely mistaken. Whilst it most certainly delivers on the promise to have the main character quit being a noble, it feels anticlimactic. In the end, I really felt like I wasted the day reading the eighty-seven chapters. A very disappointing read.

I enjoyed the novel very much and the translation was great. Although, a piece of advice before reading this, do Not expect heavy romance with this one. Heck, it doesn't even have that much fluff. I think it's more on the FL growing up and developing her character. The cover photo makes it look like it's going to be one of those typical romance harem shoujo novel, but it isn't. I just feel like I have to point it out since I've noticed in the comment section while reading this... more>> that there were people who are anxious about when the romance part will start. Her "harem" was hinted on and there were some but the story didn't go deeper in that direction.

Im so glad I chose the right ship though! The ending was kind of open ended but I think that it's going to be the both of them who will end up with each other. Some may find it unsatisfying cuz they barely have any screen time together but I think it's pretty cute. It allows Aisha, our FL, to live on her own and go through hardships. Not relying on a guy for character development.

Last thing that I'll comment about is how some people hates this particular group of people in the story. They weren't that bad. I think they were portrayed realistically. Nobles are selfish and apathetic to other people's feelings right? They don't give nada to anyone who has a lower rank than them. And they are not abusing Aisha through work, sheesh. Its called working in the real world. And I believe she is well compensated and everything they made her do has purpose and in the end, Aisha benefitted from it too. She grew up splendidly and it turned into a great training ground for her (her 1 year ordeal there reminded me of my architecture friends during their 2 year OJT. Lol. Most of them were whipped for 2 years ? It's actually pretty sad but it only goes to show that what Aisha went through in terms of working is kinda realistic)

Seriously, this was a great read. Just don't expect too much romance from it! Just read it and enjoy the journey. <<less

Seriously...I forced my self to reach a good amount of chapters to justify the slow pacing but what do I get? it's a repeated cycle of our protagonist showing how weak-willed she is and a pushover.

The premise is good but the flow of events are so frustrating that I regret reading it up to chapter 41. If not due to Covid-19 that I already reached the raws of all the novels I follow then I wouldn't try new novels which shows promise. Yes, this one shows promise but it went... more>> downhill. <<less

It's very mediocre. If I could rate it properly, I'd give it a 2.5, but that rounds up to 3. The translator did a good job, but the story still feels somewhat half-baked. She's blackmailed into serving the crown and doesn't become a commoner until the very end. Even then, it's not satisfying. There was potential for a villainous Dirk arc and a few chapters to make proper amends with her family instead of just leaving them like so.

The story at first was very interesting cause I thought that while her stepmother and annoying stepsisters and just everyone that was harassing her would be severely punished when MC becomes or gets what she wanted cause somehow I got used to protagonist stories becoming weak to strong but in reality this novel was different to what I expected. The story was really pitiable or should I say the MC cause not much amazing or the impossible stuff happens like other novels but it is very interesting cause it is... more>> different from other novels but overall I just wish the protagonist could be a badass main character she deserves to be. <<less

The title is misleading; this is about a noble girl born from a mistress who tries to become a commoner but doesn't stick to her beliefs. We follow her through her daily life as she deals with people, mostly nobles.

To me, the biggest issue with this novel lies with the protagonist. She is extremely weak-minded and gets strung along with no objections. It feels like the author's ideal woman is someone who agrees to everything and just stays quiet, especially with the misogynist remarks done by others here and... more>> there.

It's very unsatisfying because you never feel like she settles any scores and she's always on the losing end. You think there would be character development and she'd learn to stand up for herself, but there isn't.

The side characters are lacking backstory and personality, just like the MC. But they make sure to have a bunch of people around that you really, really don't like throughout the story.

Anyway, it left a bad aftertaste in my mouth. Though I'm grateful for the translation. <<less

I enjoyed the first part of this novel. The fact that she was earnestly working hard to free herself from being a noble to become a commoner was great. She didn't let anything stop her, no matter how people treated her. However, not even a short time later after she finally got her life long wish, it only took a simple meeting with a prince and suddenly she's thinking things like "I'm looking forward to serving the prince!"

She completely gave in after a short tea party, ... more>> ruining everything the novel stood for up until now. It was so uncomfortable to read that I had to stop after a few chapters. I really dislike weak willed characters, but I despise characters that are supposed to be strong willed who crumble without warning. <<less

Giving it a 4.5 stars

For one, this is not a romance focused story. And to be honest I'm glad about that fact. Sure the MC has a bunch of high specs character around her. But this is a story about how she doesn't want to be a noble and the road she takes to become a stronger person. A story about how a innocent girl becomes strong and finds her path.

I think the pace of the story was alright however I do wish they had more things about her life... more>> when she finally gets her wish. <<less
