There’s SAS in Great Britain, CIA in the USA. In Huaxia, there’s Dragon Division, known as the mysterious power of the East.

When a soldier that originally failed to be selected to join, appeared on the Dragon Division’s list again, no one noticed, that this inconspicuous and humble looking guy was actually the Dragon King of the division, the one that’s most difficult to deal with.

He was a man, whose appearance gave every one existential crisis, including a fly that was consecutively caught by him with a pair of chopsticks.

Of course, this story is hilarious as well.

I'm here to tell you that this is an exciting story. Fighting scenes are well written that makes it easy to see it on your mind. Plotwise, quite enticing. The typical talented MCs strength, taken from him, and some sort of twist of fate, he is given a new, more powerful strength. Though that sounds boring given that it's so clichéd, I assure you, the story will capture your attention and hold it captive.

Good novel if your looking for something to kill time. A bit too much of the MC being op but it is an enjoyable read for those who find it to their tastes.

Great novel, the main character kinda reminds me of Captain America. Soldier for his country, becomes superhuman but not to the point where he is completely invisible. Romance just started up on recently translated chapters. Great translation with a lot of releases each month. Highly recommend.

If you can get through the shaky start that shapes up to be like any other chinese web novel in a modern setting, with an adult man with a teenagers libido, this novel will entertain you quite a lot. It might not blow your mind, but if you like military-, modern-themes with just a dash of magical realism you'll enjoy this. His reaction to women and such mellows out, and is not as obnoxious as it is during the start of the novel.

At the start of the novel it was kinda slow and boring in some parts (honesty through the roof :D)
But as the story goes on, it gets more interesting and more enjoyable to be read.

The story goes a bit slow at the begining, but as it progresses it becomes more and more interesting

The characters are a breath of fresh air. The situations the main character solves with his out of the box thinking and abilities are both ingenious and funny. The translation team has done a fantastic job with this story!

One of my better time killers these days. The story is mostly MC using his advantage (s) to deal with his enemies. It may not be the most logical world, but it rarely is in light novels with a modern setting (the people/government show their idiocy from time to time).

The pacing feels good enough, the romance/drama is a little forced but bearable, and the MC's power is a basic one, but will at least make you wonder what will pop out next.

I suppose I'd give it a 3.5/5? Worth a... more>> try if you're into the tags. <<less

This was an entertaining but extremely frustrating story. Could have been a very enjoyable zero brain required action novel if the author didn’t insist on throwing in every single kind of drama under the sun. The MC’s relationship with girls is so strange, esp with the 2 ladies at the beginning. The relationship with the female lead is also extremely annoying since she’s just constantly used as an excuse or reason to weaken the MC. That whole arc where he becomes a “monster” was just terrible, like at least come... more>> up with something that makes a little more scientific sense. There’s also the fact that the MC is strong but also constantly meeting opponents that almost kill him or cause despair, and he’s constantly getting betrayed. The author builds up the Deviant brotherhood so much and then at around 960ish breaks it all down plus an insane enemy and I was just like that’s it I’m out. <<less

I haven't read the entire story. It is obvious that the female lead is Lin Chuxue but there is literally very little presence of her compared to the other characters Ran and Shen Yao at the start. I feel that Shen Yao is cute and the interaction between MC and her is interesting. While it is mentioned that there is a background story between MC and Lin Chuxue, I'm not really enthusiastic about their pairing. To me, the characterization of Shen Yao is more interesting than Lin Chuxue. So, I... more>> stopped reading it since Shen Yao is not the female lead... lol. It's silly but I cant help it. <<less

First of all, please forgive me about my English grammar. Secondly, the review was just negative minded (no offense because everybody has its own taste), how is it possible too review on c900 when its release just contain c449 (when I write about this review). So here is my review:

Usually, I doesn't like Chinese novel, more precisely, anything about cultivation doesn't really suit me that much. But, I like this novel. This novel's concept is like a completely patriotic military man. His foundation about his own way of... more>> life is so much sense of justice. Basically, the protagonist on above average military guy who seek to join some organization agent because his father told him, if he wants to meet his mother, at least try to get in that organization first. But, traffic happens and that traffic makes him stronger on the later part. So you can say its genre was weak to strong instead of strong to stronger.

This story build how the MC build his connection, beat the others up that block away his lane to archive the goal of MC. The story show us the MC run his mission as the secret agent. His goal was just to protect his wife as same as he protect country. MC was overpowered guy, and I don't think its sudden gain of strength. The MC indeed has become more powerful because some chemistry liquid injected to him, but the story show how the MC develop and use its powers stage to stage.

On the 50 chapters early, its really pissed me off because he have courage to take down the crime organization but doesn't have enough to declare his own wife. However, in my opinion, its worth it for your time. Just read chapter the later on, enjoy the novel.

Its not for you who looking to overpowered guy that break through any problem with fist, doesn't like arranged marriage, or using your brain because in the story on arc police officer, the novel tells how MC takes down the boss from the most powerful crime organization on city. But don't worry, you will not see as high as sherlock holmes.
But I remind you, basically MC has cheat that develop stage by stage. So, if you think you can step that aside and enjoy the process and the scene as well, this novel is for you. <<less

It's good, is different but not really that different

I'll they'll you my story. I have read the best novels by now. But I don't have any new one in particular.. Super Gene was really really original and profound in lots of aspects one of the best wuxia xiaxia. I read that I've as the novels extra plus other really good ones.

What in saying is.. Look I know there isn't going to be something that surprises me right

But this novel manages to meet me half way.. I think I agree with... more>> it being a biggie read.

But if I had to say I would say or is good. Good enough. I'm think it lacks maturity because it has potential but let's be realistic rarely a wuxia xiaxia gets better

But if you are on the edge and really want to read a worthy novel of your time

This one is good but if I'm honest with you it lacks romantic realism.. It just has a good outlook. It's going to make you feel fine but not awesome right?

I'm still hoping to see mature scenes, more like a concise kiss.. Seeing the characters more involved with their premises

I'd like to see for instance shao Yao getting in trouble for being herself and getting MC to rescue her from her adventure.

But the story is worth it if you have read lots of good ones she you don't have high expectations you know haha but it's really good. 50+ chapters I approve. <<less

It's a nice novel to read when you're bored. MC has a military background and is a righteous cop that hates any injustice. The author doesn't do the best job with getting you invested into other characters. I like the face slapping style of novels so it's right up my alley but if you aren't interested in those type of novels then this might not be the right fit for you.

Honestly among similar novels this seems one of the best I've seen. MC is much calmer and much less hypocritical, he has his principles and the fact that he's from military/police can be felt. Of course, it has some face slapping and fighting but somehow it feels more natural than in others, it's much less cheesy as well.

Good quality translation and nice change of pace compared to your usual mainstream cut and paste TSSJ style novels.

The Main character is pretty op, kinda reminds me abit of Great Demon King.

Plenty of martial arts, killing, and og swag face-slapping and main character seems to be turning into an X-men.

... more>> If you are all for "PC movement" I suggest you don't ruin it for the rest of us.

So far its been a pretty goo read, looking forward to seeing how it progresses.

This novel lives in a cicle someone get pissed with the MC about something, woman, money, woman, "superiority felling", woman... they get face slapped, they come back, and happens again, or they get killed... there is almost no development of other characters, wife, friends, boss, (they become a little relevant in their archs but soon they are forgotten... only the MC is in highlight, everyone else is practically garbage, they are the strongest int he country but need the MC to go clean... the novel is all about face slap... more>> and the OP MC, if you don't like this novel you shoudn't even try read this <<less

I like this novel very much. It s about a guy who has to strart from scratch and fight against the whole world while maintaining a interesting relationship with his love intrest (so far 1 loveinterest).

I like that he is a dedicated guy guy to his (future) lover an dto his comitments

Started reading this last week and ended up binge reading to current release. I found it a nice change of pace with some great face slapping moments. For me it is a great novel to read and it does start a little slow but I like that in most novels. One of the biggest reasons why I started is that the raws are already finished and under 1500 chapters. One of my biggest turn offs to a novel are ones that keeps dragging on and on for over 2500-3000 chapters... more>> using the same old niches to keep it going. Those are the ones you can skip over 300 chapters and still know what's going on within reading 5 to 10 chapters. Anyway I got off on a tangent, this is a great story so far and I'm looking forward to its translation completion. Kudos to the translators as well for making it an easy to follow read. Keep up the good work! <<less

Love the story in general it has an amazing thriller which grabs you by the throat and drags your around. And bring in some lame funny jokes that puts a smile to your face. And sprinkled with bits of romance that I can't get enough of!!! Will recommend to read the first 5 chap and you will be hooked
