For some reason, Shao Qian devoured half of the system that tried to devour his soul after tricking him into completing missions in worlds where he was horribly humiliated.

Since he didn’t feel like returning to his original world anymore, he decided to return to the worlds of which he had the coordinates and retaliate against them!

But…….

Why is it that every world seems not quite right?

Could it be the method he used to cross through the worlds was wrong?

Why is the female lead completely ignored by the male lead who, for some reason, is currently sticking to him like glue?

My favorite part is the humor. Specifically, I love how the author bashes all those s*upidly-cute characters.

In regards to the progression of the central plot... It more subtle for the first few arcs that may not translate very well, and there are a lot of arcs. But in all honesty, this one is more proactive with the background story than FOD, which essentially just came up in the latter half, if not the latter third.

And then in regards to the emotional state/characterization of the MC... Some potential things to consider:... more>> he's been through many worlds already, where he lived and died horribly, which he struggled and held on for a glimmer of hope. After experience a multitude of lives, this glimmer was dashed and he was prepared to die once and for all. But he survived again. One can imagine, even as people with only one life, if we were to live holding on to one obsession, how impactful losing that one thing would be. He's gone on for far longer, only increasing his obsession. Without this last thing holding him together, for a portion of people in that situation, they would be numb while another portion, would actively seek death. It's very difficult to leave that mindset in a short period of time. If one was alone, it would take a long time.

I believe that is why the first arc was necessary and impactful. As it was the first world since the incident, his emotions would still be rather raw rather than completely numb. At this moment when he was lost, he experienced a jumpstart in the form of the ML. It may not have been the best relationship, but it was true sincerity, concern, and love that he hadn't felt since... almost ever. It's very purposeful.

Spoiler

As for the nonconsensual situation... what I'm about to mention should not be generalized, but in this case, consider this literary analysis. He had lived through a multitude of lives as cannonfodders. Choose any form of horrible deaths or acts, he's likely experienced them all. In any case, by the time we met MC, he's been numb. While he certainly did not want to experience those things again, it's not as earth-shattering as it is for us readers.

[collapse]

For him who had experienced all sorts of horrendous acts before, another one isn't all that impactful. Sure, it might be that straw that broke the camel's back... But For someone who had lived through multitudes of torture and ill intent, being stewed in sincerity and love for ten years... That is definitely like the rising moonlight on the darkest of nights. <<less

I haven't said this about many books and still given them a good rating but I will with this one. This reminds me so much of FoD! I love it! The MC is OP but not so much that it's boring. It takes him a few arcs to love and believe in the ML. Each world is unique and the plots well thought out. I couldn't have asked for a better read.

This was cute. Tooth rottingly cute. As in, my mouth has cavities and I'm not filing any complaints, except for one.

But first let me say: It's a QT, MC takes over the system and hops to different worlds to live out life how he wants to. He's OP in every world, and ML is yandere, with the first arc being the most over the top yandere, and the following arcs leaving him a harmless yandere who loves his MC so so much. MC reciprocates the feelings. I saw some reviewers... more>> were saying he wasn't reciprocating, but man he was, he even thought of castrating the ML in one world when he thought the ML was gonna be in a relationship with a girl.

The translators did an amazing job from the get go, but after chapter 52 I couldn't read chapters going forward till chapter 70. I am also too lazy to see if there's a way to find those chapters because by then i'd already gotten bored with that arc.

Now for the problem: It gets so repetitive. There is no build up to the ML falling for the MC, he just looks at his face and it's *instant shot in the heart* lovey dovey "I need to have him, own him, and lock him away". Now mind you, I have no problem with this, but it can make the story boring for some people. For me it's the figuring out who the ML is that is my favorite part, but basically the moment the MC transmigrates into the world, he's already found his lover in the next two chapters (which are really short the further your progress through the translations).

Anyways, it's cute. Not the most amazing story but if you're looking for something to pass the time, that has good translations, read it. <<less

I got feed up... After all the MC got to stay with ML so many worlds and years. They could be considered as old couple, why did he still not soften to ML much more? I feel like it not enough... I simply know that he concerned and care for ML but I always feel like it not enough... That why 3 stars!! And I drop the story.. Cuz it boring.. After all QWTFD still the best~

I love this story! It is so cute and fast paced! I hate when these quick migration stories linger too long in a certain world, especially cultivation worlds, I don't know why, but I hate them. The protagonist is cute and I love how devoted the ML is in every story. I can't wait to find out how everything came to be!!!!!!

Hmmm....I won't give this a five star review but I gotta say it gets better and better tbh, and the translating is good.

There really isn't any plot development, but the story focuses more on character development between the MC and ML but we have too see, cause the story finally develops.

I understand why many gave up on the first arc... ML is way too possessive of MC and there's really no plot.

Update: I tried to mtl the rest of the story and the chapters are so out of order and with repeats that it was very annoying to read. But I roughly parsed thru and overall it was okay. It's not my fav QT story but not bad read either. After so many chapters (it's so long!), my takeaway is that this story is about a yandere ML chasing after the MC who is a bit OP and is willing to accept the yandere behavior. Original : I've been running out... more>> of QT stories to read. This one seems decent so far. True to the tags. This story has one of the most yandere ML's I've ever read. And that characteristic is the key plot point. So far the different arcs are interesting and we get variety.

I'm only disappointed that it looks like the story is dropped. <<less

I dropped this novel at chapter 90 as I couldn't find a source text anywhere that I could mtl where the chapters weren't messed up from that point on. So I came to the natural conclusion to stop reading as the effort to find a site where the chapters followed the right order was not worth it.

The parts that I did read before dropping the novel were okay, nothing amazing or outstanding compared to other world hopping novels. It's just your regular, common quick wear novel. There isn't really... more>> anything to compliment nor anything major worth criticizing... Ah... except for the noncon/dubcon in the first arc that I totally forgot about since the victim himself seemed to be pretty unbothered and downplayed the whole experience. Sketchy af if you asked me.

This wasn't my first time reading this actually, considering how I could recall every arc to a certain degree that I skipped ahead a lot. But I didn't know why I didn't mark this novel as already read or anything so I decided to reread it. Turns out I couldn't finish the novel properly even if I wanted to, not with my personality at least.

Leaving this review here in case I stumble upon this novel on a later date and ask myself why I dropped it. <<less

its a good novel I kinda like the arcs, I just didnt like the ML in some of them that much for being too possessive but I already saw the tags so I was aware what I was reading that's why it didnt bother me that much. Some spoiler of why I dont like ML that much and kinda MC a little bit ... more>>
Spoiler

The arcs are interesting but it's sometimes frustrating seeing ML not letting MC see his father (first arc) I actually only felt bad for his father but not for the MC because he didnt have much affection for anyone anyway except later for ML (sec arc where he was aware of his feelings) some may even defend MC saying "because the father only started being a good father because of his face similar to the one of the mother" but dont forget in the "original story" he actually still loved him thats why he dug up his corpse even though he was a bad father he also lost his beloved ones even his son later on because he didnt realize how shitty of a father he actually was but I felt bad because he was trying to be a good father this time but still lost his son tbh I dont like ML in the 3rd arc but I loved the 3rd arc most of all of them. I'm still reading this mainly because I think the arcs are interesting

Not only was Song Dao’s face thick, his lifespan also endured for a long time. Shao Qian never left. No matter what, everytime he intended on leaving, Song Dao would always have a shameless method to get him to stay. For example, even at such an old age, he would seem as if he were about to speak, before stopping with tears in his eyes. Another example was that he would roll around unreasonably, acting cute shamelessly...

I couldn't change the number of stars (╯ರ ~ ರ)

Two stars because the plot is good but the relationships make me want to die...

I haven't finished reading it because it's just one of those, you feel like you're just wasting your time.i understand he has people who like it but for me it's just torture. For both the MC and the reader, I say this with complete propriety because I felt anguish the entire first arc, a feeling that it feels like it was never going to get better.

In... more>> the end I know I didn't want it to get better, I wanted the MC to break free.

Now I understand what it's like to view an abuse victim's life from the outside and not be able to do anything about it.

This by far is the weirdest ML I've ever seen. He doesn't hesitate to show how he wants to monopolize MC and is straight up harassing him (at least in arc 1 so I'll have to see the rest) but so far it's meh.

So errr... To new readers the translation is actually currently only up to c63 p1. All the further chapters are hosted on a website that no longer exists. :/

Arc 1 is pretty harsh, it has in*est and boy was ML extreme. But it is completely possible to just skip to arc 2 and not really miss anything.

ML and MC do have lots of sweet moments, and the taking revenge parts are always nice to read. But the side characs tending to like MC (finding him adorable and what not) never... more>> seems to be addressed yet?

Arc 5 is also extremely boring, nothing happens at all. Not much of the original story even gets told. MC meets ML and just goes off and be lovey-dovey. It mainly focuses on how ML's family reacts to their relationship (begrudging acceptance). That's it. <<less

EDIT: Okay, I kept reading and the more I read it, the more I liked it. I like the dynamic between the MC and ML starting from the 2nd arc. The ML acts spoiled and is possessive in an endearing way, while Shao Qian puts him in his place and soothes him. I also really like the way that the ML's identity is being revealed. I stand by my criticism of the 1st arc-- it's just not very good and gives a poor first impression. I definitely recommend reading the... more>> prologue and then skipping to the 2nd arc. All the recurring motifs, dynamics and references start in arc 2, literally nothing is carried over from arc 1.

Hm, so I read the first arc and my first reaction is that Perfect Destiny did it better. PD also starts with a confinement scenario as the introduction for the possessive ML, so that's why I feel it's fair to compare them.

Your first arc is meant to set the stage for the readers: Who are we following and what are they like? What are the rules? What is the tone? What is the goal?

Honestly, I don't think that first arc really accomplishes that. Our MC is Shao Qian, and he's revisiting worlds he did tasks in. That's fine and all, but like, what else? He says he wants to get back at the protagonists of those worlds, but this isn't really a counterattack or revenge novel because he doesn't do anything of the sort? He just annoyed the FL of that world a little? Show Qian doesn't get any chance to get to know his love interest or have any meaningful scenes with him, so I'm not feeling any passionate romance to last through the ages. It's just Shao Qian, so there's no system to interact with. Shao Qian doesn't crack jokes, analyze cliches/tropes, plan strategies or manipulate anyone. I can't get a read on what his deal is because he doesnt seem to have any goal in mind.

PD uses the MC's internal back and forth with his system as a comedic contrast against the ML's extreme yandere behavior and mentality. The novel is self aware about this Possessive Love interest trope, and emphasizes the dissonance between the serious, angsty scenario and the visiting transmigrator's role as an actor.

Every World seems to also try to do something with the sincere yandere vs a detached from the drama MC. But, I guess I don't understand what it was going for? Unlike PD, it's not played for laughs but it doesn't feel like like it was set up enough for drama? It wasn't angsty enough for that, and it was only 2 chapters of the confinement and it didn't even go into detail about it. I honestly didn't even see the point of including it because there were other ways to characterize the characters without that scenario. Whether you can get past the in*est thing is up to the reader. Honestly, the scenes with the Zhang family were the most compelling part of the arc.

Anyway, I don't know if I'll continue, but I don't think it's worth reccomending when there's so much better stuff out there. I will say that the translation is easy to read and understand, so it's definitely not chore to read if you wanna check it out for yourself. <<less

It is quite annoying how the MC does not be able to resist the possessiveness. Almost every time the supposedly powerful MC is helpless to resist ML just flat out owning him.

I understand that he is supposed to be weakened by ML but this is a bit much. Other novels the MC is able to do something. Honestly what I want to read is the MC being fed up with the ML and escaping. That would be a lot more interesting.

I do not mind the ML's feeling of needing the... more>> MC but why is there the "oh he doesn't accept me so I will just ENs*ave him." Even if he doesn't misuse it, that must be a terrible feeling.

Also where is chapter 53? <<less

  • I'm very confused. Like in the first paragraph of the 1st chapter and even the plot description here. What does he mean he "eat the system"? What are the "tasks"? Did he die or prevented it? Or did he die then was resurrect by a system title..? What is the system why does he know it? He said that he passed something to avoid his accident, does that mean that he was sent in parallel word before then something went wrong and he was sent in a novel. Why are there 2 pandas in the cover? A part these questions, the story is nice. A bit messy as a whole... At least it was for me...

    Spoiler

I wish no novel heroine is like the protagonist's sister in the first arc. A two-faced person only thinking of being "a miss who go around with famous brand-bags, have expensive cars". Tsk-Tsk

    [collapse]

Anyway I love the interaction between the MC's father and uncles. XD

    Spoiler

    Also when I read he was putting make-up I thought:"omg is he a cross-dresser!?"

    [collapse]

I was really intrigued! *^* turns out he wasn't but, I still find it cool and very new since I never read any other male protagonist do that.

Only the male lead Zhang ZiXuan's (in the 1st world) random crush that came from nowhere seemed odd.

    Spoiler

Mainly because he came in the Mc's room in the middle of the night, took a picture, use it as his lockscreen then fantasize about kissing the guy and note they just met a few hours ago. Super odd and convenient.

    [collapse]

Idk what kind of logic he's following.

The story is still developing at this point but so far so good. The ML is possessive (in the beginning may not be liked by some readers but like hey, give a chance.) OP as true to YY type novels just without the harem (obviously because of the MC joining in).

Will update as more updates come....

I'm all for a possessive ML but this ML is straight up psycho. Not really into that...

Arc 1: The beginning sounded really promising but then it went downhill: The plot wasn't thrilling/gripping enough. The characters were "okay" (except for that psycho ML) but they didn't have much depth, so I couldn't bring myself to be interested in them. Adding to that, the arc was a little bit very rushed. Everything happened so fast and then it ended abruptly. It almost looks like a story coming from WATTPAD (no shade... more>> cause they have some good, interesting books there but many are very... questionable to say at least) because everything is so rushed and cringeworthy. So many plot holes exist and a character change falls from nowhere. You can't help but think: "That escalated quickly or 0 to 100 real quick" :0

I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to do with this novel now...i think I'll stop reading it for awhile and (maybe) will give it another chance in the future, since some of the other comments are full of praises for this one.

Update: I really tried to give it another chance but failed. I just can't. The characters are so shallow... this is the first time that I struggled so hard to like a novel. Maybe you will like it but I surely don't & wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I saw some readers say that it will get better but I cannot overcome the 1 and 2 arc, so i'd advise you to skip the first arc incase you really really want to read this novel. I know it's harsh but it was just sooo bad & let's keep in mind that I didn't even mind the in*est. <<less

First arc is in*est... It really lays on thick in chapter 9. Why is the tag missing? Maybe I'll pick it up later, but it's too uncomfortable to keep reading. On top of that...

The scum father is suddenly loving, doting, and touchy feely with the protagonist, and gets jealous of him now being doted on by others... basically, what plot? This is too much for me.

Beginning verdict: No thanks.

Side note that other reviews mention it gets better though... so if you don't like in*est, skip, I guess.

I think this will be a really good one but I'm waiting for a better translation.

I liked the arcs.

And yes the ML is obsessive but I like it. It's a novel after all.

Spoiler

It seems like the ML is the system. And the MC kind of guesses towards that direction but then ignores the idea.
