Great novel until he leaves the 9 worlds and becomes an Immortal emperor... After that, it becomes mostly a shitshow. Power levels becomes irrelevant, pandemonium, previous power levels are useless.. Like how strong are immortal emperors are compated to Everlastings, it becomes Li Qiye just spanking some arrogant peoples..

I've seen the reviews, and I understand the frustration at the repetitiveness and the simplicity of most villains. I completely agree. However, I think it was designed this way to suit the main concept of the novel. At the minimum, I'll try to diffuse some points people have trouble with:

MC being an aggressive arrogant prick: If you live for basically a million, or a billion years in the cultivation world, how many arrogant young masters and dumb baddies who live for like a few hundred or thousand years will you... more>> meet and try to bully you? Up to a certain point, would you bother keeping calm before these insignificant tr*sh bags? Especially considering the heights LQ had reached. To me it's basically like seeing low level mobs for newbies when I'm at endgame in an RPG. If they don't touch me, good, if they do, I'd blow them to smithereens.

Repetitive storyline: well, you got a point there. Even the MC doesn't care about most of these events, much less you. Although it does serve to contrast the MC's height of attainment and the world's common sense and standard.

2D baddies: Please don't mistake the arrogant young masters, devils, fiends or whatever as the baddie. The only baddie in the novel, as stated very clearly, has to be roughly near the level of the heavens. As for everyone else, they're just grunts, which are supposed to be replaceable and dumb.

Basically, this novel is very different from the typical novels with arrogant mu*derhobo MCs. LQ isn't arrogant because that's his nature, he has simply went through too much, and is at a level that's too high to even consider anything even remotely interesting. What I like about this novel, is LQ's viewpoint of the world, his past, his dramas, his ability to remodel the cultivation system, the main plot, the true baddies of the world, and the sheer epicness whenever LQ gets serious.

Although it has some flaws due to its main concept, it is a great novel. If you're ever bored with the repetitiveness, just skip ahead a few paragraphs or chapters until something interesting happens. <<less

This is one of the best overpower MC novel out there, even overlord and slime tensei not as good as this

Everybody who comment negative only read few chapters, they dont even read far into the main story.

This story is deep, interconnected, and really good for me

This is a story about an imperial emperor's teacher who have a big ambition to fight high heaven, because he want an answer, he cannot fight without sufficient preparation, that's why he keep wander different continent, to collect power, to nostalgic about his past and... more>> conclude his tied with different peoole before his last fight.

Everybody who comment negative dont even know the main story and judge wahahah. I pity u guys

If you guys like face slapping novel like library of heaven path, then this novel sure suit your taste. <<less

The plot is incredibly repetitive. After the first 500 chapters, I can already accurately guess what events will happen next. I dropped this novel multiple times, but I always come back to it for some reason. Last time, when I was really bored, I read a thousand f*cking chapters in a row. I got used to the dumb-as-sh*t plot that I almost cried after reading something actually good. If you love yourself, don't let yourself suffer through this godd*mned trainwreck.

Even with my previous complaints, I need to give it to... more>> the author. This novel is one of the best I've ever read in terms of worldbuilding. The characters are connected to one another, and a seemingly unimportant beggar could play an important role in the future. I can actually enjoy this if there isn't some young girl underestimating Li Qiye and falling head over heels for him after witnessing his true prowess every godd*mn second. <<less

This is one of the worst novel's I've read on this site. There is no immersion, the characters are super flat, even the MC. The amount of 'background information' and filler is out of control. I don't usually leave a bad review, but I read some reviews that praise this story so much and felt the need to chime in.

Spoiler

The MC is super arrogant, ancient Crow Spirit who has a lot of knowledge that has disappeared in the current time. This is ok, but it is also the only characteristics that are shown, there are no like-able qualities to his character. He's almost a robot in how he acts. The author uses a vast amount of verbiage to describe minor antagonist's who won't be a foot note 10 chapters later, ie. listing 10 titles for a bad guy, all his cultivation characteristics, etc... plus all the words that lead from one title to another.

This novel is about a very ancient existence in a young man's body dominating everything in his path, but don't confuse him with you typical emotionally arrogant MC.

When arrogant young masters come and covet his things he doesn't get angry, he uses his left hand to swat them dead like mosquitoes while picking his nose with his right hand. When their masters and fathers come from the right seeking revenge, he swats them dead like mosquitoes while flirting with a beauty on his left. When their ancestors come, this is... more>> when sh*t gets serious and he is forced to.... swat them dead like mosquitoes. I think even if the author tried to kill the MC off he too would be swatted.

While other MC's will fight to marry the kingdom toppling beauties, this MC will turn down their proposals and offer them a position as his driver or his maid. The way the MC insults his enemies and teases his friends is just a delight to read, and the translation is great.

------------------------------
The novel is not perfect, it has some serious issues with repetitiveness and word padding, but if you read this with the right expectations, and have enough chapters piled up to binge, then you will enjoy it. Just don't expect a fillet mignon from McDonalds. <<less

I followed this story for a long time, only to give it up. I guess my dao heart was not strong enough in the end! I am dropping this book due to the sheer number of filler chapters it has. This is a common problem cited by many who have dropped this book before; they couldn't handle these mindless filler chapters and neither could I.

Earlier, I had enjoyed the book despite it's it fillers because the story was well connected throughout and flowed well. But

Spoiler

After Li Qiye went to three immortals, all the earlier characters were done away with and everything started from ground zero. In the past several chapters, all this book has left is mindless antagonists coming to be slain by our MC. Earlier, the story to filler was like one ratio twenty but after three immortals, it has been one ratio hundred!

[collapse]

In the end, it has reached the level where I have lost all excitement for this book. Even after reading a fairly long action-massacre arc, I was like meh... This has given me a clear indication that it is now time to drop it. I will read the Wikia when this ends to satisfy my curiosity.

Earlier Review

Spoiler

I binge read this novel from chapter 1 till around chapter 1700s. Those many chapters it takes him to become an immortal emperor. While very early in the story you start to get the idea that becoming the immortal emperor may be one of the goals of MC but it is not the ultimate one. He needs to be one for something that he has to do later in the story. So, what happens in the chapters in between?

Well, it shows how he creates his legend as the greatest immortal emperor of all times. But, it contains great many fillers in between. So many in fact, that even missing 5-10 chapters would not really hamper your understanding. Even after 5 chapters, the scene is likely to remain unchanged and you can understand easily. This is the only demerit in this book. But, I feel that the fantastic backstory more than makes up for it.

In the later chapters (after he becomes an immortal emperor), the story becomes even more fantastic. The secrets of the book that have been mentioned earlier are revealed. The author remembers most of his plot points and they recur later. He does not forget the different abilities of the MC even though you might not. It is only after he uses them do you remember, 'Oh, yeah! He could do this as well!'.

The antagonists revealed after that are all badasses of the level of emperors. Now you might feel like 'what's the big deal about a strong enemy?'. Every book has those. As the MC grows stronger, his enemies would be more powerful as well. What you need to know is that all the guys who became emperors have the attitude of a badass. You can feel that those guys are protagonists of an era. They are not like petty arrogant antagonists used in general CNs. In fact, even before his ascent as the IE, there are some badass antagonists (though they are very rarely encountered). Anyway, while the petty fillers are still there but the backstory is revealed more. Basically, if you can casually skip through the fillers without being irritated, you will come to enjoy an almost legendary tale.

I'm giving this a 3.5/5. I couldn't round this up to a 4 because there are too many flaws in this novel; however, it has the best "arrogant and idiotic antagonist being defeated by the underestimated MC."

Pros:

  1. Best satisfaction novel for "insanely overpowered MC who destroys geniuses and clans for not seeing Mount Tai" plot.
  2. You can see and understand the MC's character development from the millions of years of living.
  3. The MC kills antagonist with different abilities.
Cons:

  1. Number 1 is, of course, the fillers. Useless dialogues with antagonists that will die later and the same old things over and over. You will need to skim.
  2. The repetitive idiotic and arrogant antagonists who offend the MC. Arrogant young geniuses are about to die. Clans get involved. Both get wiped out. Very satisfying when this happens.
  3. Harem. All the girls fall for him and he recruits mainly beautiful girls. We are told of his many disciples he taught throughout his life, but in his present life, he is only teaching girls. SMH
  4. The author is always cryptic in the history and items the MC gets in the novel. For example, 'that item is heaven-defying' or 'that person will find out later when that so-and-so will happen in the future.' This starts adding up and it gets annoying. Just say it already! Stop being so cryptic!
  5. The cultivation is hard to remember. So many sub levels and info dumps for them. Don't bother remembering. The MC can kill level 100 characters even when he is level 0.
That's the reason why I can only give this a 3/5 rating. There are too many flaws; however, I absolutely love it when the antagonists realize who they just offended so 3.5/5.

Every single person has different opinions and tastes to novels. Some like romance, action, or maybe even tragedy but THIS NOVEL is the epitome of OPNESS. This is basically a review that is pretty much one sided towards the novel however there are still some cons that needs to be addressed. I personally think that this novel is great but some people would think that it's repetitive and too cliche so *DON'T LET THE REVIEWS CLOUD YOUR JUDGEMENT, IF YOU LIKE THIS KIND OF NOVEL THEN READ IT IF NOT THEN DON'T*.

Let's start out with the pros and cons of the novels.

Pros:

  1. Extremely Arrogant MC that has POWER and OP ITEMS to back it up. All of the people are just juniors before him.
  2. He never runs away from fights and he just never loses.
  3. Spoiler

He knows just about everything. EVERYTHING.

    [collapse]
  4. Cultivation levels are explained thoroughly.
  5. MC is smooth with the ladies but.
Spoiler

He doesn't see them that way. No, he's not gay but he just sees them as generals, maids or allies because no one can handle the burden he's carrying. There are some instances where the girls initiate the intimate gestures and he just casually rides the waves if you know what I mean. The only girls I remember he did intimate things is with the Middle Continent Princess, Li Shuangyan and Chen Baojiao. (Not sure if there are more because it's been a long time since I read the previous chapters)

[collapse]

Cons:

  1. Cliche
    Spoiler

Yes its cliche. Guy offends him -> MC kills him -> New power arrives -> repeat. However I do like to say that who doesn't want to see the MC kill them in numerous ways? They aren't even fit to carry his shoes. Mass mu*der (about a billion teeming fish were killed in an instant), Destruction of sects and clans and ultimate face slapping are all in order.

    [collapse]
  2. The number of items and characters he interacts with are extremely numerous. You might forget their names or you might even forget that he has them in the first place.
  3. Yes there's harem but no freakin romance. This one is opinionated but who cares? XD
All in all, it's a really addicting novel. I really recommend this to those who like extreme suppression of others and extreme domination against others.

While I agree that there are parts of the series that are extremely repetitive, each iteration has it's own unique twist. I admit that it gets boring at times, reading about how the MC steam rolls enemies, but in my opinion the main appeal of this series are not the battles but the underlying story.

Emperor's Domination is pretty unique, unlike similar series like Sovereign of the Three Realms. Take SOTR for example, the MC also retains his memories after being "reincarnated", but we don't really get a sense... more>> of his history. In Emperor's Domination, we read of the mc's story after he gets his body back, while also slowly being introduced to pieces of information, which we use to piece together the mc's history.

All in all, I think that Emperor's Domination is a pretty good read. This series should keep one pretty busy and entertained, especially with the translation speed of 4 chapters/day while I'm currently reading it. <<less

Emperor's Domination is that one novel I read when I want to see the protagonist just beat the sh*t out of awful people. That's all I'm in it for, because that's pretty much all the novel has to offer, in my opinion.

The story is extremely repetitive, as others have mentioned. The protagonist goes around picking up treasures and followers. Said followers are almost always hot women who end up falling in love with him even when he doesn't interact with them very deeply.

Spoiler

The protagonist never makes major mistakes. I know the story mentions his past mistakes on multiple occasions, but that's pretty much nothing to me. I want to see him make bad decisions as I read so that I can see him in a more human light. The author has completely failed to do that.

[collapse]

All in all, I enjoy the story, but I feel no attachment to any of the characters and have yet to see a single decent emotional scene. Can't give it anything more than 3 or 4 stars so far. Judging by the author's inability to break the repetitiveness of the plot, I can't say I'm excited to see what the next thousand or so chapters hold. <<less

If you liked One-Punch Man then you will enjoy this story. Essentially this is the Xianxia equivalent to One-Punch Man.

If Li Qiye and Saitama were to run into one another I believe they would become great friends and commiserate about how things are too easy.

Superb manga reference aside, ED is the story of an OP MC who sweeps through the story without losing to anyone. This story is perfect for anyone who is tired of reading about ever novel protagonist going through the same tired old cycle of struggle->sect->"tr*sh"->help->train->Pill->Smash->New World... more>> rinse and repeat till godhood.

Instead this novel goes. "Tr*sh"->Smash->New World. Our MC doesnt need to struggle or any sect or even train. All he has to do is wave his hand and smush the s*upid enemy into the ground.

The reason why anyone would read such a story arc is simple. We already have enough stories highlighting the protagonists' struggle. This story is more about exploring the worlds the author created unhindered and enjoying the smooth ride.

The story is less about Li Qiye beating his enemies into the ground and more about the various beauties and helpers he brings to his side. Coming back to One-Punch Man, Saitama is the protagonist but OPM isn't his story. Its the exact same with Emperor's Domination, Li Qiye is the protagonist but ED isn't his story <<less

Loving this novel. The translation is good and the story is different and refreshing. I like the idea that MC spent a long time (squlliions of years) perfecting the skills he has rather than found pearl, cube, stone, jade or some other item that gave him an instant power up. I especially like how the MC's power and experience is built up from the past and how he is interacting with the present. Sounds cryptic and without giving any spoilers, I can again how the story is very well told.

All 50 chapters so far have been fantastic, if it can stay this way throughout the whole story it might rival ISSTH. This sh*t is tight.

[Edit] So it's been a while now and the story is up to chapter 307. I think it can keep the 5 star rating, but in my opinion it's more like a 4.5.

Enough chapters have gone by that the author has hit his stride, and now we really see the meat and potatoes of how he writes and what the story is about. The world... more>> setting is fantastic like ISSTH and WoC, but I feel that something is lacking a slight bit.

All these stories we read are really repetitive, that's just how it works. Wake up in the morning, eat food, go to sleep at night. Repetition isn't a bad thing, but I feel like there's the build-up to something the MC is going to do, and then the actual thing and sometimes it's just a bit underwhelming.

The previous arc was about the graveyard and he got the magic thing that no one else has ever gotten. Cool, neato. But now this academy arc and void gate stuff, eh.

Apparently he gets a wife that's super OP, but with the way the story is going we'll never know about it until the actual arc it happens in. There's no intensity to the build-up. That's the only problem I have. Still a good story though. <<less

Masterpiece. This is it brother, this is it. One of the best if not the best xuanhuan novel ever made. Now let's talk about what makes this series good : the writing, the world building, the main character, the cultivation system, side characters, the mysteries that are to be unraveled, the main plot of the series, and the goals of the main character. You see what makes ED great are it's massive world coupled with countless unsolved mysteries. As a reader you start with a blindfold, you don't really understand... more>> much of what's going on around you as you are not experiencing the world as much from Li Qiye perspective but rather the people around him, thus leaving you asking questions here and there. The more you read the more stuff you understand and the more of that fog starts to disperse, giving you a better grasp of the world. The cultivation system in ED is very complicated but also really original and innovative, it starts out very confusing as you aren't really being explained much, and it also makes sense as we are supposed to start out as a low level junior of a sect past its prime, and as I said above we see the world in the eyes of those around him but not his most of the times, he is very vague about stuff most of the times. But the more you read the more you understand, and the more you start to admire the cultivation system. I'd say if you decide to read this novel, make it to the second saga of the series which starts out near 400 chapters, its the best early ED saga and you should at the very least read it before deciding whether to continue or not. I really can't say much here without spoiling it so I won't, just know this is a masterpiece. The only thing that holds this series back is the length, being a really long xianxia series the author does tend to make your typical bloodbath, massacres, c*cky young masters, jade beauties etc. Quite common as it is easy to replicate, entertaining for the reader, and great filler. Now honestly the massacres and whatnot in this series are extraordinarily entertaining most of the times, but I can see how people could get annoyed by it if they have already read a decent amount of cultivation novels, though I do have to say everything that ED does is 100x better than your average novel, even these c*cky young masters and massacres.

I re-read the novel recently and made a quick summary of the entire novel it's not very detailed, I only mention things in passing or sequence of events but I will mark it all as spoilers. This is all for people who are not 100% sure if they want to read it or not, it's not a review, but a summary:

Spoiler

I have reached Eight Desolates. This is my second time reading Emperor's Domination, when I first read this novel I fell in love with the rich the story and vast world but I never thought I would actually re-read it at the very least not so soon. So I will do a quick review/recap of the novel so far. The novel obviously starts out with the Nine Worlds saga that spans for 1727 chapters and it contains the : Mortal Emperor World; Sacred Nether World; Stone Medicine World; Mortal Emperor World (Again), Heaven Spirit World, Immortal Emperor. A lot of people are thrown off by the first arc because they think the MC is arrogant and they don't have the patience to read, at the same time this arc does have it's fair share of young masters. Overall it's pretty solid as it does contain a lot of details that one should pay attention to, they could be overlooked if blinded by the hatred for the young masters. Moving on with the Sacred Nether World arc; this arc was REALLY GOOD, especially in early ED.. It's the best arc. This is an arc of solving some mysteries, revisiting some old friends sects, forbidden grounds, the first fight for the Immortal Emperor throne and an insanely good finale that I won't go in detail too much. Stone Medicine World is the next arc, this is a mostly filler arc, it does have it's own valuable secrets and details that one should pay attention to but you can skim through this arc pretty easily there won't be a problem. Li Qiye comes back to the Mortal Emperor World after this and he starts becoming the Blood Progenitor, having some interactions with the blood race, eventually he goes to the Buddhist Funeral Plateau one of my favorite mini arcs in the series "One thought to become Buddha another to become Devil." And then he gets rid of some loose ends and completely revitalises the cleaning incense sect. Heaven Spirit World, one of the better Nine Worlds Arcs either top 2 or top 3. In this world the humans are the minor race and they are used as 'stallions' basically for breeding purposes, the main races are the charming spirits, sea demons and treants. In this arc LQ helps some sects by extending the lives of their most prized alive ancestors, destroy some of the strongest liniages there and give the human race an unstoppable momentum. This is the main arc where MC 'competes' for the Immortal Emperor throne, but can't really call it a competition when there wasn't a threat in the first place. There is also a ton of interesting mysteries and forbidden grounds here that one should pay a close attention to as some are relevant even thousands of chapters later. Li Qiye comes back to Mortal Emperor World and this team he deals with the Soaring Immortal Sect which harbored Ancient Ming (well at the very least they gestated the bloodline in one of their IEs descendants and didn't repent and brought the evil bloodline back in the world) MC goes on a rampage there with his legions and completely obliterates the strongest sect in the Nine Worlds. He also deals with the traitor Gu Zun from Heaven Suppression City the brother-in-law of the Black Dragon King, After this the Void Gate becomes a new world and MC sets up some rules in there allowing people to set up sects and many change their ancestral grounds to the Void Gate World, it's a perfect world for cultivation with untapped resources. Then Li Qiye is about to become Immortal Emperor, the only time in history where no one could even compete for the heavens will because his Grand Dao was unmatched, heavens only chose other candidates briefly before they got removed (due to his primordial will) Majority of top geniuses and their legions are unconvinced so Li Qiye butchers the whole lot. People start calling him Prime Emperor as he is the first one in history to have 13 fate palaces and the first one to have no Rivals for the throne.

After this Li Qiye ascends to the Tenth World immediately, he brings with him majority of the followers from the new age and some other friends. He gets greeted there by a bunch of Grand Emperors (Title for emperors born in tenth world). He fights like ten of them including the strongest active one a 12 will emperor World Emperor. Li Qiye plays with them for a little bit and lets himself get killed for his Death Scripture, he loses his cultivation and also steals some wills from some of the Grand Emperors and then he leaves. Li Qiye destroyed his cultivation because he wants to start from scratch, he does many times in the series because his goal is to create a new Cultivation System. Tenth World is pretty straight to the point, MC travels throughout some of the continents, specifically the ones with the Myriad Races dominion and then he meets some old monster friends. There is a few filler moments here and there, he joins some no name sect for a while, deals with a young master, kills some high gods, etc. At one point he decides to embark on a voyage towards the Exploration Grounds one of the few safe havens against tribulations. He goes there to kill a peak Dark Overlord of an epoch named Samsara, and it's an extreme intense high level battle, the second battle of this level in the novel, first on being the Sacred Nether World finale, but this second one was on a much larger scale, we're talking vastly different power levels, and it's one of the few times in novel where Li Qiye goes all out. One of the best moments in the novel and definitly worht reading.. Eventually he gets invited to join the Celestial Academy as a Teacher and he agrees. In there he gives some advice to some juniors, deals with some young master filler, research some secrets about Nonexistence and then he preached the Dao. There is an undelying plot here against the academy, a lot of people from the myriad races want to take advantage of an underlying calamity of the sect to get some benefits, lots of them being alumnis biting the hand that feeds them. As you can guess Li Qiye goes on a killing spree there and kills a bunch of Immortal Monarchs the three races also join in and he kills some of them too I believe. His main goal was to bait some other Overlord existence to show up eventually he beats that overlord up and gets the Death Coffin. After he is done with some of the underlying threats in the tenth world, he uses the information he gained in the academy about Nonexistence which was the coordinates of the world, to open up a Dao Portal. Li Qiye enters the Dao Portal and is assaulted by an infinite ammount of heaven tribulation and after thousands of years he finally reaches the end which is the Three Immortals World.

Three Immortals World : This world starts out with the MC falling to the prank of the Insane Ancestor, someone he met before in a forbidden ground and someone that he exchanged memories with. He gets sealed in ice for an unexplicable amount of time, could be hundreds or thousands of years eventually a sect finds him and the ice melts. People thought he's dead but he is obviously alive, he tells them he is their ancestor, he teaches a girl the right way to cultivate and then he leaves for the main hub of this system. We are in the Insane System, and as LQ shares practically every memory with the Insane Ancestor he is qualified to call himself their Ancestor. He deals with some infighing in this world, teaches them a little bit and then he departs. Currently in the novel we are in the Myriad Liniage World arc. Three Immortals is made of three worlds and they are : Myriad, Imperial, Immortal; these worlds differ greatly in strength but once ascend once they reach the peak. Eventually he goes to the Longevity System which is an alchemy system (a system is like a plane of existence, it can be created by Progenitors which is a cultivation rank above True Emperor the equivalent of Immortal Emperor, in this world everyone has 12 fate palaces as long as they advance in cultivation so their heights are way higher, it's a far stronger world when compared to tenth world or nine worlds) In this system he deals with some infighting, a bit of filler, some crazy scale fight (3IW has a lot of epic fights, LQ doesnt break a sweat usually uses the things around him, looking as the progenitor of this place, never goes all out, but the scale is insane) once he deals with all the infighting one of the Reedeming Grounds appears, Moneyfall. In Moneyfall one can use money for everything. In this reedeming ground there is a bit of filler, LQ kills some people from powerful sects, some being followers of a guy named Mu Shaochen who descended from Imperial World, this guy is an Eonic Level genius character but with no interest in cultivating very shallow person. Long story short LQ kills this guy and then he ascends to Imperial World. Imperial World was quite interesting I liked the Nine Secrets System arc a lot, in this arc MC becomes the Crown Prince and then King of a kingdom, it's an underlying scheme by the previous king Lucidity King, using LQ to bait out his secret enemies and hoping they destroy each other saving him the work. In this arc LQ makes himself look like a wastrel second generation young master with no breath of mind, eventually the powers rebel and his armies as well. As he is waiting for them to come on his high and lofty throne, one of the ascenstors from some of these sects that followed the previous rule of the kingdom 'saves' him and takes him to his sect. LQ was engaged to all of the top sects following the kingdom but they all either pretended like the marriage agreement didnt exist or they sent him some descendants from a far off branch. Li Qiye just uses this entire scenario as way for him to have fun, eventually he reveals his astonishing power and he kills every competitor for the throne and all his enemies. Eventually he jumps into this prison where no one can escape from and everyone thought hes dead, he goes there meets some of Lucidity King enemies and brings them with him, gets the items he needs from there and just leaves, the key to leave the prison is one's dao heart. He has to deal with some ancestors that are not convinced as soon as he comes out and then finally its peaceful. But Lucidity King did not expect Li Qiye to be this strong, knowing of the fact he is enemies with the Mu Clan for killing Shaochen he decides to ally himself with them against him. Li Qiye randomly senses a Dark Overlord on the Stone Harmony System and he practically instantly gets there in a few steps. This system is desolate with no powerful cultivators no animals no plants, it's almost s**ked dry.

This system has been facing a calamity for a million years I think, a Dark Overlord arrived there and s**ked dry majority of life here, main goal being to suck dry the Dao Source of the system. Li Qiye goes there, deals with some c*cky sects, these sects have no morals and treat mortals like garbage. Deals with some big time villains, he quite literally goes on a bunch of high level epic fights in a row and then he kills some True Emperors. Eventually that Dark Overlord arrives and Li Qiye captures it and decides to seal with his Dao Heart. He then goes to the Mu Clan and annihilates them. Now he is focusing fully on refining this existence and his body only has a tiny part of divine sense in him as the rest is focused on refinement. And he ascends to the immortal world. He goes to Xiao Shi system here, becomes their progenitor, teaches them some things, goes on a bunch of epic fights and leaves. I forgot to mention but over the course of these other arcs he also meets the Three Immortals, he meets their dao avatars or intents as soon as he enters the world but he also meets physically one of them, the immortals want to trade with him for the 3IW Tree which is in his possession. After he is done with the Xiao Shi system he goes to the Academy of Light which is Desolate Saint system or Samsara Ancestor. In 3IW Samsara Ancestor decided to be a Saint, maybe as a way to repent for the lives he reaped in his epoch or maybe to feel better about himself. Li Qiye main goal here is to see if he left any Plan Bs here in case he died and he indeed did, he gets rid of them, fights some c*cky geniuses as usual kills some of them, schemes some of them, etc. He also talks about the hypocrisy of the light. Right after this arc is done, weird things start coming out of the Uncrossable Expanse. A bad sign that something is going to happen. And something indeed does happen, a dozen progenitors come from Uncrossable Expanse and they want to enter 3IW to refine. Protected by the moat it takes some time but eventually a gap is made and they come in and start reaping from the systems they personally created (its very easy for them to do so as they created those systems) it's very cruel but yes. They are winning for the most part but eventually Li Qiye comes and kills all of them. He then enters the Uncrossable Expanse perfects his dao a bunch of times, cultivates for millions of years, starts a new epoch, and kills one of the 36 pseudo immortals that became a dark existence. He then talks with the 3IW, he finds out how exactly these dark overlords even found this world in the first place, apparently they themselves caused the calamity of the curiosity breaking the world barrier to see if there is another world beyond, there indeed was.. The World of Death. The home of the dark existences pseudo immortals. This world is the world of death cause these guys reaped everything from it, the dao, time, life, etc. Li Qiye wants to go there to kill every single one of them and destroy the world as its underlying threat to everyone. He enters the gap and the 3IW seal it with the 3IW Tree. Li Qiye eventually arrives a critical point, his forehead is caved in, his ribcage is crushed, his arms are completely mangled, but he is still standing straight and proud, the remaining dark existences are salivating at him. Li Qiye been stalling for 'That Person' to show up but he didn't, he then brings out the Primordial Light the first Light when the world was created and smashes it, destroying the world of death, killing him and all pseudo immortals (potentially some escaped) And like 1million years later or longer he is revived in the Nine Worlds well now they are called Eight Desolates. (He revived due to the death scripture, he left his three souls in the Nine Worlds now Eight Desolates, and he can revive in case he dies after a period of gestating.
I didn't go in much detail at all, just a short summary of the novel, if you were not sure about reading this novel you can read this and see if you would want to give it a go. This is 50% of the entire novel.

storyline : 2/5

world building : 4/5

characters : 3/5

... more>> honestly, the only two reasons I keep reading are :

first I like MC, like he is the most badass MC in all cn novels I have read so far, his "arrogance" is because he is that strong, but it is reasonable, not because old grandpas in whatever relics MC stumble on, I mean he is literally the old grandpa, if there is some grandpa in relic, he might just teach that grandpa in relic instead, what can you do about it? (The novel rating is 2 for me because of fricking repetitive but the reason I give 3 star because li qiye deserve it)

second reason is the same as li qiye, I just want an answer, when will this end, I just want him to finally fight the final boss now, I mean no one can give him a decent fight except them.

the only li qiye women I can remember were his wife, magu, empress hongtian and long jinxian because they are slightly more significant than all other side characters combine.

the story contains some interesting things and mysteries that unveiled by li qiye but the repetitive scenes give me headaches. I guess I still have not reach the apex yet.

for those who want to give this a try, just read when you have time, so you wont suffer from the horrible repetitive scenes. <<less

Novel is okay to read.

Look, if you like the start, you’ll tend to like the rest.

MC is your typical all powerful omniscient scumbag useless Chinese protagonist who is the absolute most disgusting worst guy but attracts boatloads of females due to his OP BS powers and handsomeness.

... more>> Novel starts with OP MC being reborn into his own disciple’s sect and then being OP. Halfway through, MC restarts... the entire universe! And reborns himself into his alter-ego not self sect...

Basically the author begins to rewrite the novel again lol.

MC has so many ominous and powerful nicknames that make you laugh out loud.

Very much feels like a 9 or 11 year old’s fantasy of how they would be if they were super strong and handsome.

Issues: Nonsense writing, silly events, scumbag Mc

Benefits: Faceslapping, MC Op, MC being sad once in a while that he let his lover and his children all die due to his own actions but he gets over it, author repeating same story again and again

A legendary novel for the dedication of its author to producing mediocre content.

When someone writes tr*sh, you say “ehh, it’s tr*sh.”

When someone writes so much tr*sh you can create an entire civilization from the tr*sh, you say “This is actual impressive.”

Kudos to the author for their amazing efforts and may they continue to write more! <<less

This is base on my opinion, this novel is pure bullshit

The MC is arrogant and the characters introduced so far are all s*upids

He keeps blabbering about not reaching apex or some shit, he keeps comparing his old era to the present, the elders are so s*upid that they dont even suspect him to be a reincarnator even though he know so much, they believe that his shit's are just base on his calculations and by the guide of the past immortal emperor

P.S. I made this account just to give you... more>> guide that if you dont want novel like this dont even think about trying to read it if I can rate it 0 I would have done that <<less
