I love this, this completely displays how ancient times were for women, and royalty. No domineering, I only want you and we won't have any problems since I am a Prince syndrome, this novel is actually realistic. Even though the MC is a legal daughter she can only start off as a concubine for a prince, even thought she gives birth to 2 sons for the ML the furthest she can reach with the Empress and the Emperors approval is a 2nd consort which is basically one step above a... more>> concubine. Very realistic when describing ancient times relations between men and women.

So as much as I with my mentality want MC to be with someone that is only loyal to her and can prove it, in a novel such as this one, I know it is not possible. So ML being interested in a 13 year old? Well back then depending on the family and bethrotal items (bride price) he could have married and imp**gnated her right away. Just sayin'

Cute novel with lots of smut. The beginning of the novel is quite slow, lots of description and not enough dialogue, but it does get better once our two main characters meet.

While the MC is intelligent and eloquent, she's also quite spoiled and definitely acts her age (14-15). I get a bit annoyed with how she acts sometimes, because it seems highly unlikely her behavior would be tolerated by men of that era, but apparently it suits the ML since he allows her to get away with it and only... more>> "punishes" her in bed.

The ML isn't very interesting. He's cold and aloof to everyone except the MC. I do appreciate how he figures out MC isn't actually in love with him and is willing to work towards it.

In terms of plotting/schemes, some of the side characters are too easily disposed of. So far, the only major conflict is

Good novel but too much drama with the concubine. Also don't like how the MC is lukewarm with the ML.

And I also don't like how the ML have a bunch of concubine even tho the novel is based in ancient time when men can have multiple wife/concubine. Lets also not forget the fact that he slept with some of them, I would much prefer if it was a 1v1.

Favorite scene is when MC is giving birth to their first kid, lololol!

Loved it so much that I tried mtling... however I couldn't make anything out of it, mtling gave me headache so had to drop it.. now I just wait for the translations...

Our MC is witty beautiful intelligent and interesting she is different from all the others MCs I have ever read... she doesn't fall in love atleast she hasn't yet and doesn't do s*upid things.. she knows what she wants and works her way around it... ML isn't dense as well and spoils MC quite a lot... doesn't get involved... more>> with other women and only has eyes for MC... the political intrigue is good as well...

The thing I loved the most was their relationship dynamic... how their trust in each other grew.. how they r co dependent and ML doesn't belittle MC... he knows she is smart and admires her for that...i love their relationship <<less

I love it in a way that I have to stay waiting till the next chapter. Tried reading machine translated chapters and almost got mad.

The novel writer made it in both ways of happiness and axiousness. So it gets you hanging speculating what to happen next, example when mu xioa was accussed of bad omen I almost couldn't take and thought maybe she would get locked up for some months but the way she overcame couldn't imagine.

And the translated has done a good job keep it since some us can't... more>> read Chinese and have to wait on already finished goods.

Here I'm lamenting on how 3 days posting are long coz I can't get enough though sorry of me for being over demanding I just can't get enough

To me, this is a great novel, filled with suspense, twist and turns and most important the character development was not rush quickly or too slow either. It shows how a character mature and learn from their experience.

Maybe in time the MC will tell the truth to ML in regard to her past since in the current chapter it showed how ML do care of MC and worried for her. MC is one of the female lead novel that I personally adored and loved to read about.

The translation is simple, which makes the story easy to read and quite enjoyable. At first I was a bit skeptical of the MC, because I felt like she was being pictured as the MC in every cannon fodder story who acted out of the ordinary which made the ML like her. You know, the annoying MC in a 3rd person view with her holy halo of having good luck. Well, it's a bit of that except she's not a Mary Sue. She's indifferent in some ways and knows how... more>> to separate reality from dreams. It's an okay story, pretty solid in the first few chapters. My only problem with this is I feel like the MC is a bit too indifferent that it's as if she doesn't take part at all in other affairs outside the MC-ML dialogues. Well, it's not bad if you just want a simple read. <<less
