This is really a gem which I found. It is so underrated as some have pointed out. Though you... ok ok... do read as I find that the theme is to my taste, meaning more adult modern stories. I cannot currently handle school life stories yet.

For those who are considering, do go ahead as its a short read.

Amazing. But an underrated one.

The history: It's pretty complex. This goes around MC, ML (which isn't a lover, just the oficial bottom) and MC's best friend, mafia/gangsters and bussines, and a bunch of schemes behind that, just the main themes I guess

About the romance: Don't espect fluff nor the tipical MC and ML. The characters here are like someone in real life, complex and with deep personalities, and not "made" like the protective ML and lovely MC (or vice versa) everyones reads about in danmei novels. This is not that.

The relationshipS are also complex, so you have to think it yourself, and yes, when I say this, is not only about the relationship between MC and ML, but also with MC and MC's best friend. Since it can give you mixed feelings.

This was good beyond question, the plot twist was WOW and you'll get adicted when you begin to read it.

The ending was bittersweet, but just right.

I give full star. After reading the ending...I feel like, " ahhh... the ending should be like that". I can't say, who's right or wrong. Love, hate, possessive... They loved each other, they used each other, they protected each other, they resent each other. The relationship is toxic.. but can't let go. Each and every character and their bonds are unique. We can judge from our own perspectives. We have no right to say who's right or wrong. Indeed, good story

I was so ready to drop everything just to see MC and ML continue prancing around each other and have it all end up bittersweet (I read some of the top reviews) but MC literally r*ped ML..... I came here because I thought there was no r*pe! I had to add the tag myself. Really sad. Translation for this is excellent and even though I was constantly frustrated about how the main two interact with each other, I wanted to learn more, but I ended up dropping this with a... more>> bitter taste in my mouth because I felt sick to my stomach. Idk if that scene became a big issue but r*pe itself isn't a small issue and I wouldn't want to see it trivialized or overlooked as normal either, so I just stopped.

I love the beginning. Before everything came crashing down to the point I don't understand the cause and effect. Especially at the end. If there's anything that stayed true all the time, it's Ou and Chu relationship that no amount of time or pain could stain. I honestly feel confused about Lin. It felt like his actions despite being explained still does not makes sense. I guess its because I don't know his core. While all his actions seem reasonable based on his character, a core that ties those all... more>> seems to be missing or deeply hidden. As compared to Ou or Chu where their core is easily seen and all their action boils down to it. <<less

I ship the best friends together they have such good relationship

I cried while reading such a touching story definitely worth my time 💯 %

Everyone in this story is toxic scum in one form or another. But yet, that's why I loved this story as much as I do. No one in this is a good guy. Moral, upstanding citizens? Not even close. And everyone sleeps with everyone else until it almost becomes impossible to tell who's sleeping with who? And my boy Chu... I wish things could have been different there. He deserved so much better than what he got.

No one is innocent. No one is actually 'nice', but I loved Chu.

The bromance... more>> was twice as effective as the so-called 'romance!'

The end of this twisted, dark carnival ride through hell is perfect for what it is.

it left a deep imprint in my heart. I'm not much of a fan of the main characters but that's also because they aren't painted in fantasy and are made to be much more realistic.

This was a great story and I binge read it in a night. I loved the romance and friendship but also the intrigue of all the things that were happening. It was nice and at times left me feeling sad and bittersweet. Definitely recommend.
