As the Minor Gay Rival in Het Novels

Description

There are always four kinds of people in the traditional Mary Sue world. The Male Lead, the Mary Sue female lead, the woman who never wanted to see the female protagonist live a good life, and the infatuated man willing to destroy heaven and earth to get the female lead.

However, with the rapid expansion of the army of rotten women, there is also a growing type of character, and that is a man who is also infatuated with the male lead… This character is referred to as the gay guy. They share the same infatuation as the second man, also has a tragic end and works together in hindering the male and female protagonist’s love.

Fan Yuan has walked in every time and space playing as the gay man. He had always enjoyed it, until one day, with superb acting, he made the male lead bent… o (╯-╰) o

Fan Yuan (affectionate confession): “I do not want to be your brother, in fact, I have always loved you.”

Someone (fondly looking back): “Me too.”

Fan Yuan (⊙_⊙): “…”

You’ve got the wrong line, bro!

this story is pretty good if you read it light-heartedly. The plot is like most other transmigration stories, where the system is unhelpful, MC is helpless and oblivious to the point it makes you want to transmigrate into the story just to slap him, and the ML is possessive but borderline yandere.

the romance is pretty good, too.

as for the plot, I feel like some parts of the story didn't make much sense to me. I would reread chapters continuously to make sense of what happened, but it just didn't work.... more>> That's why I say don't take it too seriously.

with that being said, I lost interest in the plot pretty quickly and can't bring myself to care enough to finish it. So I will drop this one. It was still pretty good, though. <<less

Ignoring logical points which are undescribed in the novel the novel is fun to read, light hearted... I like Blackbellied ML the most! So ai enjoyed. Truthfully there's many plot point that needed explanation but the author leave it jist like that.

I would have loved to know how MC became a minor supporting character, why did he erase his memories from the past, what happened to him after he surrendered himself for his crimes or the endings for the worlds that they ruined?

But sadly author leave all these points unanswered!

But... more>> if you're looking something just for fun reading without questioning these then go for it... It's fun! <<less

I couldn't keep reading, the main character was too annoying, and the author's explanations just don't manage to make the character's behavior realistically liable.

I read qt stories for the romance that slowly builds over worlds, and the satisfying mini-stories where you know what should happen and how different actions bring justice or uncover a more insightful plot. So far, in this novel, we've gotten half assed plots, a character intent on maintaining the half assed plots (even when his love interest reassures him he can find ways to subvert the... more>> tragedies in the original story), and incomplete endings. Thank goodness for the side stories at the end of each world, they bring the only minor resolution/nuance to each messed up world.

In the first 2-3 worlds (depending on whether you count the prologue), it makes sense why the main character acts the way he does. It also vaguely makes sense why there's such abrupt endings, since it's the main character giving up on the world after realizing he's lost all chances of succeeding and getting his rewards. It even makes sense why the main character would try so hard to maintain such horrible plots (seriously, most of the original male leads act despicably) - he loses his rewards and could incur penalties if he deviates.

However, by the 3rd, historic arc, the main character knows that:

1. The man following him from world to world treats him sincerely

2. He has budding feelings for the man following him from world to world

3. The man can help him avoid the penalties and lost rewards from not following the script

However, (maybe?) due to his lingering anger at being tricked into living a (long and happy) life in the last world, rather than investigating his feelings, he decides to help his potential rapist escape so that he can commit su*cide and not have to live another (long and happy) life with the man he's starting to love. This made no sense to me. Maybe the author didn't explain the emotional subtext well enough for me to fully understand the main character's actions, or maybe the author decided the novel needed more angst at the risk of introducing unrealistic motivations. Either way, the character becomes either unbelievable or unreasonably rigid. Either he's petty to the point of self-harm or so trained to follow the plot that he can't think to question whether it's a good/just plot (considering that the plots seem intent on bringing happiness to slags and mindless beauties, there's a lot to question). Either way, he's a hard character to root for. He himself doesn't even want love, so there's little satisfaction in watching love throw itself at him. He says he wants to reach a level where he doesn't need to follow the plot, but when given the chance to break away from the original plot, he'd rather die defending the it. Looking at it this way, the main character is basically a male mindless beauty in a novel that makes him act in stories about female mindless beauties - the novel is a Russian doll of slag stories within a slag story. In this novel, there is no self awareness of how illogical it is for someone who has nothing going for them other than a beautiful face and ability to follow rules capturing the heart of a pampering, all-powerful character willing to indulge them in everything.

That said, the translation is wonderful, very well annotated, and reads smoothly. 5 stars for the translators. <<less

An enjoyable, somewhat meaningless, pretty fluffy QT story dusted with a few spicy NSFW scenes.

The various backdrops and roles were mostly just for fun interactions between Fan Yuan (MC) and Yan Rui (ML), with little other impact. At the beginning the MC at least had some desire to follow the destined plot to get points, but very quickly the original plot and characters are blurred into oblivion. So I didn't quite get what was the point of them going from world to world other than to just play around ... more>> (;∀;)

There's no climax, and the final understanding of MC and ML's individual pasts wasn't very satisfying =3= <<less

Someone pls show this lowly one some enlightenment

Firstly, I binge read this novel in one day @@

This novel itself is actually just a snack that you eat to pass time.

... more>> Most of the time, the ending to each plot is more to the MC's ending instead of the whole story.

Sometimes, the whole plot didnt make sense especially when MC lost his system temporarily.

What was rly jarring to me was; why in the world the ML ended up on lower plane? Did I misunderstood that the ML even before he went to the lower plane, he was alrd in love with MC? did I miss something?

And the last battle between ML and the rebell was really confusing.

Who did MC mentioned that went to the real world?? He was the one who killed the rebell younger brother. But no details?? Whats the connection??? Did I really not pay attention??

And why did yu kai was really shocked when he heard the word Dan Wen?! OI!!! But his reaction after seeing his soul appearance was bland???

Someone!!! pls save this brain of mine!

Bru, I know the author states that they were a lazy one.... But man 😩

I wish they spent the extra chapters on this instead of just another repetitive plot 🥴 and im not interested in the side CP 🙈🙈

TLDR; A good side dog food. Many loopholes. But an ok read 🥴

5* for translation as always! <<less

I made myself continue until the very end but I'm still not sure if I want to read the extras. This does have a few good points;

    • The systems
    • The hashtags
    • Bits of the MC's wit
    • Most of the smut
There are more when it came to undesirable stuff and ones that made me skip a few chapters:

    • The main CP's toxic relationship (not saying that all of it was toxic but there so many things that could've been handled better)
    • The ML- this story shows more of the bad side of what happens when a being with personality like that, loves someone for the first time. Not saying that he isn't allowed to make mistakes but he's extreme. I'm glad that the MC can be able to handle that.
    • The topic of Masculinity-....I'm not an expert but why do these topics make you feel like it's life threatening to you if you're not what they think what being a real man is.

Honestly would rate this as 4.6! I enjoyed the premise of every world and it's refreshing take every time because there is a twist which involves the actors. Each world though feels short and wanting to have more cause some have abrupt end lasting between 10-12 chapters-- sometimes I even wished that the story is just in one world.

The characters are well-like and the systems too! Usually the side characters in novels arent even mentioned at all or well develop but in here, surprisingly in their own small screen time,... more>> they have a personality that even that small moments that it gets enjoyable.

Our main characters MC and ML are enjoyable and could be similar to another novel "It’s Actually Not Easy Wanting to be a Supporting Male Lead" with the MC and ML however the ML here is more possessive and yandere (?) over time and gets his way on everything and MC slowly accepting- even though knowing it's toxic they accepted and as readers gotta accept if you dont mind those type of characters.

For world hopping genre usually they dont flesh out the story of the origin or talk about it outside the world stories, they are set in but here they actually do so it is refreshing what kind of character they were and original background outside their roles.

I had binge read this started from chapter 1 even though Ive read it before but it was still being translated at that time but to be able to refresh and relish on info have to focus in the story because something the dropping hints readers might have missed.

It's not a story for everyone who wants a heavy plot and just for funs of the charater or couple dynamics. Some tends to be repetitive because for the arcs but he is in same role so Im not surprise but same time they have that small world build up which I still am fond of. Even the system I find so cute cause their master-system is funny. <<less

It's a fun reading-experience. Sometimes exiting, sometimes funny, sometimes steamy and sometimes fluffy. But it's also very annoying and frustrating ting. The ML always has the upper hand and dominates the MC and when the MC tries to gain the upper hand (because he obviously doesn't like being suppressed so much) he is "rebelling" and the ML is like 'sorry but no, I am above you and you aren't my match but it's amusing to see you try'. I get that he is used to ordering people around and that... more>> he just has an evil and tyranny personality but it's so frustrating how he treats the MC sometimes and just easily gets away with it and is forgiven. It's cute sometimes but now I've finally had enough of it. I'm not a fan of such an unequal relationship even when I understand that in reality the MC is already happy just knowing that the ML loves him and stays by his side. But the whole relationship is basically the ML doing whatever he wants (for his own amus**ent/selfishness/self righteousness) even if he knows it will hurt the MC and the MC just bearing with it. Sorry, but in my opinion such a relationship is just unhealthy. <<less

I just don't feel the chemistry at all. The MC just wants to do his job. He might have been moved a few times but I wouldn't say it's romantic.

This is a fun, standard transmigration BL series. The comedy is good. I love how realistic the MC's reactions are to everything. He points out the plot holes and illogical inconsistencies in the Mary Sue novels he's taking part in, so he feels more real than other characters in similar novels.

The reactions the MC's deaths in various worlds was tragic and made me tear up, making this one of the greatest strengths in this series. If these feelings of tragedy, desolation, and regret appeared more often, I think this series... more>> would be better.

That said, there are some definite weaknesses that cut down the appeal of this series. First of all, the ML is the standard possessive, overbearing, stalker-ish, over-powered elite with a status much higher than the MC's, so they can't really treat each other as equals. This trope is so overdone that I'm sick of it by this point. Additionally, the MC keeps insisting he's straight when he's obviously not as straight as he thought he was. Denial can only go so far before it becomes annoying. Another blatant weakness is in the arcs of each world. The MC has his script prepared and just has to follow along, so he doesn't have to take independent actions or think creatively on his own, which drastically limits the suspense and excitement a reader can get from the narrative. The plot lines aren't as intense as they could be. The plots for each arc are fairly weak and so is the action.

The strengths and weaknesses balance out each other so far, so it's still working out. That said, I'm hoping the plots for future worlds picks up more. It'd also be great if the series gave a stronger feeling of creativity or originally or even really made the narrative its own. <<less

I cannot stress how much I love a certain trope in this novel! The trope is ... more>>

the fact that both of them are transmigrators, plus the ML is apparently a senior and is just messing up the plot for kicks because he loves the MC

[collapse]
. I've entertained that trope a few times before, but this is my first time actually encountering it— and it is as every bit as juicy and dramatic as I'd hoped for!

Regarding the plot itself, I think it's neat. I had the feeling that the first arc was rushed since we are still unaware of how the male lead fell in the first place. I still think that HDS is the crowning glory of comedic in Chinese danmei I've read along with maybe Scum Villain and Scum Shou Survival Guide. However, this is enjoyable on it's own and bears promise.

The ML is really cool! I hope to see more of MC ML bonding moments together. ლ (´ڡ`ლ) <<less

It was a really fun read and I liked the various worlds and I especially liked the MC and ML. They're both heavily heavily flawed and not good people and selfish though so don't expect to be always aligned with their mindsets and decisions. I personally like these types of characters and thought they were charming to read. Their relationship was also really interesting and the back and forth between them had a level of development I wasn't expecting and really enjoyed. It develops the romance beyond the chase and... more>> getting together part and into an established relationship that I really liked. But fair warning with the tags like the ML is a real f*cked up yandere with consent issues and not everyone is comfortable with that so yeah if you asbolutelty hate that stuff, hit that back space!

MC isn't smart and I'd say he's kind of dumb but I'd also say that it perfectly matches the tone of the novel and pairs up well with the ML's dumb h*rny brain too so it's just a good MC for what this type of novel is trying to be. Like don't expect amazing plot twists or crazy politics, it's a emotional narrative built around drama and romance that is equally dumb as it is s*upidly, endearingly earnest and heartfelt. In all, it's has a rather light hearted earnestness and dumb humour I just couldn't hate.

I really liked the first world in particular and I think a lot of my good feelings is a result of how well that was set up and executed. Also I adored how it was recalled back to and reflected upon throughout the development of the novel instead of being instantly forgotten, each time revealing another aspect that enhances the characters and narrative. The author's ability to sprinkle it here and there to chatacterise the ML and then the MC, and retroactively show their individual thought processes as well as the relationship between them was very lovely. It added so much character to them and felt very fleshed out.

Spoiler

The ML's initial descent into madness is actually really well written in a non-chuuni way and legitimately feels like the collapse and breaking of sanity. I legitimately cried reading his chapter and then shuddered when he snapped. The author's writing can reach really high peaks.

Additionally, the way the MC and narrative initially brushed off the first world's conclusion into a little gag was a brilliant decision and good hint of unreliable narration. With the ML's POV being revealed early, it's easy to be duped into thinking that would be all from the first world but the author was just slowly setting up a later development so it can unravel the depths to MC's real feelings about the ML. It sets up the later foreshadowing and hints on how the ML's abandonment truly hurt him and the MC's subsequent weariness isn't just the obvert "I'm straight!" denial or that the ML is getting in the way of MC's job but rather a much more deep seated fear of abandonment that is a huge part of the MC's character and especially his hidddn background.

[collapse]

It's a pretty cliche, doesn't really deviate from the norm and the writing isn't very poetic or trying to be at all. Some sections are very moving and I really do like the characterisation of both MC and ML. The novel does all it wants competently with a sort of crass dog humour I just click well with. It's very slang heavy and cute but it handles a lot of suprisingly heavy topics in a rather assured way that's neither too preachy or too thoughtlessly. Like the tragedy of the world is just how the world is but we can still continue on with humour and love and the MC's endearing excitement to continue forth. It's a light novel I really enjoyed reading in a few days.

I'd have even given it a higher rating if it wasn't for the kind of drop near the end. The last two arcs and especially the last arc unfortunately felt rushed and like the author just wanted to end it which is a little disappointing but I think the earlier chapters and arcs with the substantial build up and character development was well done to the point that I can ignore the ending. I can still like what the resolution offered in terms of concrete canonical facts even if it didn't end as satisfying as I liked. I can just imagine a better ending I guess or go reread earlier chapters and enjoy it again. But it turned me off from reading the Extra chapters.

Whelp, I still liked it but it's not to everyone's taste! <<less

I rarely pick up Quick Transmigration novels since my first foray into it was just a repetitive 300, 000 word novel with no character or plot development, but I was in the mood for a fun read, and this one seemed to fit. I went in hoping it would be at least as engaging as QCtFoD (my 2nd QT novel, and what made me give QT novels a chance) in regards to the different worlds and it was, I'm glad I gave this one a shot.

There was development between the... more>> characters and how they understood each other at every world/arc. This definitely lived up to the comedy tag (as tagged on CG, I'm surprised this tagged as a drama here on NU 😂). The plot twists for every world were also different, which kept me engaged as a reader. The author was able to keep things fresh and interesting throughout. The ending arc wasn't as good as the rest, but it was still okay. <<less

The ML is really calculating... I kept reading because some of the arcs are more interesting than others, but the ML kind of breaks this for me. The translation is really good, and I like certain parts of the novel, but I can't say I'm reading this for the romance anymore. I don't care whether they end up together or not.

Update: So I finished the novel, and the ML really stays that way. He doesn't change, but that's part his character. Both the MC and the ML are twisted, which... more>> means they're a match made in heaven. I guess what counts is that they like each other? They had their fluffy moments.

Some could say the ML was manipulative, and I would absolutely agree. Because he's the so-called "Main God, " he has freedom to exert his power over the MC and the worlds they're in, essentially making things the way he wants to. I didn't like how the author justified his actions, but take it with a grain of salt. He's just your typical, domineering ML.

There weren't any arcs that I particularly enjoyed (some bits I did like a bit more than the rest like the very first world), but they all were somewhat entertaining, though they did have the same formula. Made me laugh. The MC's backstory was decent but not so much intriguing. The side characters were unmemorable, but not all of them were completely irrelevant. The side couple in the extras didn't show up that often, but they were semi-cute.

The ending did feel slightly unfinished, only slightly. There was more to be desired. It's an okay read, but I definitely would not read this again. I think the author just went whatever direction she wanted with the story. This was a cup of tea that I forced myself to tentatively sip until the end and found that I liked the aftertaste. Read this if you have nothing else to. <<less

Leaving the review as I read--again. This is apparently yet another novel that I started without leaving a review. And since I can't remember if I finished or dropped it, I'll leave the review to remind myself. Warning that this review may be long and rambling... will sum up at the end once I get to it if I do.

So in the first chapter, we immediately meet two characters, our MC Fan Yuan and his system Xiao Wu. Fan Yuan has finally gotten a raise and a promotion (though the... more>> text does leave a mystery as to what those actually mean, since he's long dead. Like, is it real money? Or spiritual currency?) He was promoted from probably nameless side character (though other chapters call it minor male character, which I later understood meant this wasn't his first promotion) to minor male side character. Specifically, minor gay male side character.

The first world, we only see the tail end of, and don't even meet the ML. So the story really starts with the next arc. And I do like how there is an explanation for plotholes in the original storylines before the MC comes. While it's not a perfect explanation, it's one I can accept:
Spoiler

"Under the Mary Sue's sacred halo, all these questions were s*upid and unnecessary!" And true that that is the definition of a mary sue, that everything goes their way. So plotholes in original storylines should be ignored...

[collapse]

Anyway, Xiao Wu puts up with a lot. Despite the MC not supposed to being able to OOC without violations, he seems to a lot. To me, it seems more like it's toeing the line of being out of character without actually going that far, so it doesn't bother me.

I also think it's interesting that, in the second arc
Spoiler

The ML seems to remember emotions and feelings from the first arc that we didn't get to see all of. He doesn't remember actual things, but seems to recognize the MC and feels emotions that, as he describes, are "habit" and "instinct"

[collapse]

Also second arc (which is technically listed as the first arc. The one labeled Campus Cinderella) :

Spoiler

The mc's way of quickly leaving the failing plot just riles up the ML, which leads to a little more of why he's so possessive later--not an excuse, but an explanation, a little

[collapse]

As of third arc (Showbiz counterattack) --end of second arc really--we learn:

Spoiler

The ML is also an actor in the worlds. As of third arc he seems to more or less be on board with the plot, but it's also clear he's not invested in it. Although he's also partially going along with it to not scare away our MC...

[collapse]

I do like that the author used a reworded version of one of my favorite quotes (which is not spoilery if I don't mention the context) "If an accident happens once, it is an accident. If it happens twice, it is a coincidence. But if it happens multiple times, then it requires some careful consideration."

So, by the end of arc 4 (The Favored Imperial Concubine), things don't feel as familiar to me as they did up to this point. I'm left wondering if I did drop it when reading previously--or if I read it so long ago the translation hadn't been updated past that point yet. For the moment, I'm continuing.

Ugh
Spoiler

Enter a "love rival". That is, someone who likes the MC and is as unreasonable as our ml, but who the MC does not like in return. The difference is that he does like the ml, though it took him a bit to realize he did.

I really hate hypocrites, and to make it worse, MC is a white lotus hypocrite!

There was this scene where the MC was frustrated over a movie, where the main character dies a meaningless death for the movie to obtain sympathy from the audience. He claimed that the character didn't deserve that. Well, that scene was meaningless.

Spoiler

Literally a few chapters later, the MC kills himself when he realizes the plot was going haywire in order to hop onto another world. He created a meaningless death and broke the hearts of many -his family, the ML, and admirers- without care. What a hypocrite.

Moreover, people fall left, right, and center for the MC, including the ML of course. But it's usually over the MC's looks! Which should technically belong to the original characters that are who knows where with MC taking over!

difficult to get through. Frustrating to read. The MC’s lack of IQ is so frustrating it can’t even be considered as endearing, as this story tries to do dark concepts. If it was a straight up comedy maybe I could stand him but I wasn’t laughing. I don’t even hate silly MCs, but this was frustrating. The first time I read this, I quit after the second world/first arc's ending, already fearing for the worst of the ML.

Second time around, I stopped after the ninth arc due to disinterest and then forgot everything that happened.

One day, I'll be able to read a QT and not have to mention the blatant r*pe and s*xual harassment/assault scenes, but today is not that day. Toxic masculinity is also a constant with this story.

I'm really happy Fan Yuan's past gets explored, most QT gloss over beyond just some repetitive descriptive... more>> keywords. It probably helps that someone else comes from his world.

Arc 7 was so confusing, you really shouldn't go into that arc trying to find out who ML is.

Skimmed heavily over the first couple of arcs and over the loyal dog extra which is in the same vein, but afterwards the story, mostly, isn't AS difficult to get around. <<less

Kinda expected more?

I tend to like stories where MC is straight but got together with the ML because he gradually fell in love with ML's personality but I find that BL stories who use the "Straight MC trope" aren't even using it right. I've barely read any truly "Straight uke" stories because these supposedly straight people get bent at every single opportunity, which is incredibly puzzling. You might as well just say that these MCs were gay from the start.

In the very first few chapters, this "straightness" of the MC... more>> was clearly shown, but immediately after the first arc, or after the childhood friend arc at the start, MC just caved in to every single demand of the ML, and showed no resistance, such as in the second arc,
Spoiler

he just agreed to ML's emotional manipulation without much thought, and when he thought he was r*ped by the ML, he got angry for a moment before brushing the incident away and said "I'm a man anyways". Although, it could also have been meant that MC was mad about the r*pe but wasn't mad about the loss of his chastity itself. Nevertheless, the former interpretation is more commonly seen in many other BL stories. Why can't you get mad at someone for sexually assaulting you if you are a man...??? Isn't it equally gross? I honestly have no idea what BL authors are thinking.

I don't love MC particularly much, but I'm not sure why people are saying that he's heartless (maybe I haven't read too far into the story, idk). He's an actor with presumably thousands of years of experiences, I think his feelings make perfect sense because I don't think it's possible for him to instantly change his thousand-year-long thoughts and sexuality in an instant. He needs a lot of time to figure things out, and Yan Rui being pushy isn't giving him enough time for him to figure it out. Also, I feel that MC's reaction to ML makes a lot of sense because not only has MC been straight for a thousand years, ML has constantly lied to MC and led him by the nose. ML is pushy and forceful, even though he is equally sweet and caring towards the MC. The bar is truly in hell though, because I'm already so thankful that

ML didn't penetrate MC until he gave consent. Even though ML sexually harassed MC in other ways WITHOUT permission (which is still nasty), getting consent for penetration is still incredibly rare for BL stories. Once again, the bar is in hell

Overall, ML is genuinely in love with MC. The author did a good job in showing his love, based on the way he talks to MC and his habits towards the MC, his gaze whenever he looks at him, etc. Unlike some other stories where the love between the two characters are formed by merely saying "A loves B", "A gently kissed B", ML's affection is shown through scenes like kissing his fingers, playing with his hand, leaning on his shoulder, how his tone is always gentle towards MC, and stuff like that. It added a lot more dimension to their relationship, and as long as you close your eyes towards the awful start of how ML was chasing after MC (pushy behaviour, manipulating..), you can really see how utterly deep in love ML is with MC. Kudos to the author for that. Although, I have to say that I have no idea how ML even ended up liking MC because in some sense, it just seems like he likes MC for his looks.

Lastly, similarly to what many other reviewers are saying, the only commendable arc would be the childhood friend arc, even if it wasn't detailed at all. The worlds the author created are interesting, but they somehow lack depth because ML's presence in the worlds make the worlds seem shallow somehow. It felt like the romance was heavily prioritised while the plot was incredibly lacking. Which is fine, if romance is what you prefer, but I couldn't finish it in the end because MC and ML got together too quickly and the plot got weaker and weaker. It sounds like I'm contradicting my review because I previously mentioned that MC took a justifiably long time to sort out his feelings but what I meant was that even though he took a long time/a few arcs to come to terms with his feelings, it only took 1 arc (around 10+ years??) to fall in love with the ML and for the MC's thousand year straightness to be bent. Also, they were already into each other right at the start of the story with no explanation as to how for the readers. The readers weren't able to see how they ended up liking each other and the only thing left to solve was MC's feelings. And even then, while MC took years to figure out his feelings, for the reader, it only took like 4 arcs for everything to be settled. I think I would enjoy it a lot more IF the author properly established the MC's straightness and how ML's gradual!!! but persevering love and friendship turned him bent, over a long period of time, while showing how MC excels in his job as an agent/actor. Not the kind where they were already into each other at the start and readers are left guessing. Also, what's with the continuous explanation on MC's beauty? It just seems like MC likes ML for his kindness while ML likes MC for his beauty.

TLDR; MC and ML liked each other too fast even though MC is supposed to be straight, but he took a long time to come to terms/accept his new sexuality as gay or bi which makes perfect sense, plot is weak, ML's love is commendable, translators are also amazing. <<less

Currently stops reading here, maybeeee will resume. I was reading hopefully there’ll be character development or some confirmation on the relationship... BUT, MC is still in denial and running away and cannot decide won what to do (claim to be straight and all but was already acting attached but will also push ML away wtf) and ML still manipulate the story a lot, lies and tricking to get MC to do or feel the way he wants. Sigh, I don’t like their chemistry. The premise was good.
