The older sister flees from her wedding to be with her lover, and her younger sister is forced to take her place in marrying a very powerful man.

As luck would have it, she ends up transmigrating into the body of that younger sister.

Although the man that she weds is very powerful, he’s the irredeemable final villain.

All villains are doomed to a bleak ending. And, as this villain’s wife, she’s afraid that her ending won’t be good either.

Fortunately, the older sister had gone back in time after having experienced a lifetime of suffering. This prodigal daughter returns to the turning point of her life. Pointing at her younger sister, she demands for her younger sister to hand over her husband.

Looking at this beautifully crying older sister, Ye Zhen swiftly yields and says, “Older sister, don’t worry. I haven’t even done anything with brother-in-law!”

To her shock, she later discovers that she’s pregnant.

With tears in her eyes, her older sister says, “Didn’t you say that nothing happened between the two of you?”

Ye Zhen looks at the great villain that doggedly pursues her. She is utterly and totally doomed.

There’s a great villain lying next to her, and she’s pregnant with a mini villain. How’s she suppose to survive?!

Later on, as Ye Zhen watches the great villain putting the baby down and changing the diaper, she sighs. “There’s nothing that can be done. I’ve already missed the golden opportunity to turn things around. How can I leave now?”

Good enough. Much better than those longer and draggy love stories with cliche plot and villains.

This one is not too draggy and the villains have enough substance in them. A break from brainless cannonfodder ones.

For all I know, dubious is synonym to doubtful/suspicious. But there is nothing dubious about ML doing s*xual acts to FL while she's not completely conscious. It's straight up r*pe 🙃. Contrary to the 'reverse r*pe bc ML was paralysed' claim and 'no r*pe happened' claim, according to this excerpt:... more>>
Spoiler

"In her dream, the man repeatedly went up and down on her body, over and over. It was as if he was going to swallow her alive. He was worse than ferocious, wild animals.

She gasped and pleaded for him to stop, but he continued to torment her. She was helpless. She could only passively accept this; she couldn't even cry out."

[collapse]
it is concrete that ML was not paralysed and was very dominant during the deed. Moreover, MC was very intoxicated, not fully conscious and not very pleased with what's happening.

In another excerpt:
Spoiler

"After Ye Zhen went downstairs to take the call, William coldly looked at Lu Beichuan and cursed, "You're a bastard!"

"How am I bastard?"

"It's because of you that's she's pregnant! You told me to give her medicine to make her sleep deeply. While she wasn't aware, you got her pregnant!"

Sitting in the wheelchair, Lu Beichuan refuted, "William, first of all, pregnancy requires the husband and wife to act in concert with each other. Second, I only told you to give her sleeping medicine so that she could sleep well at night. Other than the first time when she came onto me after she got drunk, I haven't touched her. How can you say I'm a bastard?"

His argument was reasonable and persuasive."

————-

His argument was in fact NOT reasonable NOR persuasive.

[collapse]

ML admittedly knew MC was intoxicated. Alcohol intoxication increases dopamine, which urges a person to seek out pleasurable activities and incites impulsivity. Not to say, intoxication comes with lack of full-consciousness and sense of control; physically, emotionally, mentally. I could cry over melting ice cream, or kiss and grind with a stranger, or serenade a statue in an intoxicated state but I would not do any of those in sobriety.

For the record, there are MLs who kept their hands and d*cks to themselves in the face of drunken seduction of their FLs, because they know it wasn't done with full-consciousness.

Moreover, "Lu Beichuan is a gentleman and can resist any seduction." or any sentence along those lines were emphasised on numerous instances.

It was also only here (in the excerpt), from ML's mouth, that said it was done on MC's initiative. No where in any of the chapters as far as c174 had there been any mention of how MC exactly initiated it. It nonetheless doesn't change the fact that MC was under the influence of alcohol. I even went to the spoilers thread to see if the author clearly stated the events of that night but there's none. The author only kept vaguely brushing over the events of that night through MC's dreams.

Not to mention, beneficial or not, they gave MC sleeping pills without her knowledge. Shamelessly claiming that it's for the benefit of her health since she sleeps very uneasily, when there's aroma therapy and whatnot or at least say it up to her face "Hey we noticed you might be lacking sleep wanna try this drug for deep sleep? Dw it's not harmful and it's very beneficial for your health."🙃A lousy excuse to cover the fact they're doing it for the convenience of their 'coma' facade.

With all these serious issues that was so understated, I was wondering how they would manage over it. I was hoping for ML to at least apologise whether by initiative or by MC's demand. Because I do believe in second chances as long as they acknowledge, learn, and make up for their mistakes. But you know what? MC has no sense of self preservation at all when it comes to ML. 🙃The issue was so nonchalantly solved and swept so deep under the rug it's as if everything that happened were actually alright and justified. It doesn't only happen on this issue, it happens every time. She always end up the "guilty" one and ends up going with whatever the ML wanted obediently. Sure the ML is sweet; when things go as he wants.

Every "sweet" interactions afterwards was on the premise of MC's r*pe that was given neither importance nor emphasis by the author. 🙃 <<less

It's just... really boring. Like even WITH all the typical attempts at husband-stealing and fake white-lotusing etc, it's just... boring. The main characters have just NOTHING going on with their personalities and you don't really end up rooting for anyone because everyone basically sucks.

This is a tr*shy novel that feels like it only works for young people. The male lead is abusive in how he restricts and controls the main character and doesn't allow her to make her own choices. She is not in love with him, she fears him until she just gives up and lets him brainwash her. It seems like she adapts to the mindset of a doll.

This is an unhealthy relationship and not anything to envy, so please be mindful of that when you read.

Binged this in a day, honestly it’s like a 3 or 4 but this is a pity 5 stars. I’m shocked at the sheer amount of people who say there’s r*pe??? Because there isn’t any, any s*x was done by original host, and then just dreams ??? You can call it dubious because MC transmigrated into a pregnant body but that’s it.

Also for anyone complaining about how there’s no fluff, fuyuneko’s ch50 is about chapter 20ish in the original book, we’re literally still at the beginning

It was a fabulous story but I think the ending was too abrupt leaving many loose ends, I was really looking forward to seeing the end of her mum, sister and Lin Zhan along with her friend. Lin Zhang would have gotten a HE too but it still didn't kill the flavor of the novel.

I must also say the translations are great too.

I read this because of the 'male yandere' tag and didn't expect it to be so good. It's such a good novel omg. There are common cliches, mostly at the beginning but it's not too much, just enough amount. Overall, what left a deep impression on me is the relationship between Ye Zhen and Lu Beichuan's family. As someone that have read numerous chinese transmigration novels, I say with confidence that its quite unique to have an actual proper discipline or such teachings in the family. I love how YZ... more>> told LBC to stop doing illegal stuff and he really did. She told him to not spoil their son and he really did, altho she ended up spoiling him instead lmao but theyre the perfect balance with YZ indulging zhouzhou then LBC being strict. I love that they teach him manners and whats right and wrong like that paper plane scene. How LBC got mad because zhouzhou made planes out of his important papers, but zhouzhou just thought that his dad didn't like that he made paper planes. He apologized and LBC said that he likes paper planes too and showed him one, while doing so, he taught that he should make planes with blank papers and not on papers that has ink. I love how he made zhouzhou understand. As such, the parenting session is no joke I tell you. They scold zhouzhou and explain him what he did wrong, and that's something different even in reality.

So again, I really love how this novel ended. Other than their family, I just hate those bad people aka YZ's family, the Shens, Lu Shaoyan and such.

Lin Zhan, on the other hand, I feel sympathy for him. As stated, he was born with nothing and grew up with nothing. He fell in love with the kind Ye Qing but in the end even that turned out to be nothing but a facade. He found out that the one he should have been together with was actually the one he's been ignoring, and by the time he realized it, she was already with someone else. I appreciate how he didn't try to pursue or chase after her like how in most novels does, he was there when something happened to her like when she gave birth both times, but no one knew he was there. It's like he's just staring at her from afar, making sure she's ok and then leaving when nothing's wrong. Nothing was said about him after he left the hospital, but I really hope he finds someone that's truly for him and have his happy ending as well.

If you're looking for a novel that has transmigration, smart FL, possessive ML, extremely cute childcare, and so much dog food, then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this one. I do warn you that the people that would probably annoy you the most would be Ye Zhen's family. They're such an annoying bunch and they stayed until near the end. Not til to the ending but near enough. Pretty far but it ends with really sweet scenes between YZ and LBC so all I can say is bear with it lmao. <<less

I really couldn't like it so I left it after their wedding. I don't know whether other would say it'll get better but it left me with very awful taste. ML's actions are really questionable. Let's put aside their first time aside since she had a fault in it too. But he put drugs in her drinks to make her sleep and then mol*st her. Keeps the fact she's pregnant from her doesn't allow her any free will. Even in his vow at he said that he won't force her... more>> but he won't let her marry anyone else either. And after all that our MC has no opinion what so ever. No telling him keep away from no getting angry at her loss of freedom nothing. She is like a yes man like a pet. But even a cat will scratch you if you annoy her but not our MC. Her choice of freedom is taken away from her but instead of having a reaction of aversion she actually starts getting jealous. I was seriously like Really??? Am I the only one that finds all of their interactions up until now disgusting? I dunno I just found it unpalatable. <<less

If first 20 chapter did not exist it would have been sweet and really nice. Alas it was disgusting for me how the FL was so cool with everything that happened for her.

IF and I say IF there was a scene where FL would show her anger because of what ML had done, if she had ignored him for weeks, made him show even a little bit remorse and not act like FL owed him something or it was perfectly normal for her to be by his side after... more>> what he had done...

Maybe then all that sweetness ML showed her latter wouldn't fell so unrealistic.

FL is supposed to be a human being, a woman with her own opinion. So where is her PRIDE? How can she not fell scared of ML? Allowing him to kiss her and touch her as if everything is fine????????

I was waiting for development but... It just felt too unbearable to read on.

I admit I may be missing a lot and maybe misunderstanding smth but I don't find anything in this novel that would tempt me to continue on reading. <<less

Guys there is something I want to address ... more>>
Spoiler

The scene where the female lead is drunk and eventually becomes pregnant is not the Male lead raping her. She came on to him and also the whole sleeping pill accident was just to keep her fro finding out he's not in the coma anymore he did not r*pe her while pretending to be in a coma just wanted to clear this up.

[collapse]

This novel is really good but there are a lot of things I would like to address
Spoiler

1. There are most likely multiple timelines for this one book. One is the original book, another is the current one we are reading about. But based on perspective there might be more timelines for example the original book could be from Lin Zhan's point of view but sine YQ describes a very horrible life that could also be another timeline from her point of view

It's just sad that some people are just giving it a 1 star review just basing on its earlier chapters.

Again! I would just like to remind others especially people who are too hastily judging ML too harshly that the ML is totally not as BAD as we think. I mean if you have read up to Chapter 61 with the ML's POV. I think he is doing pretty good as an ML and he has his lapses as an ML but he is changing and doing well on perfecting this... more>> ML type that we love. Honestly I'm like a Mom/lawyer defending him already but who cares I like his character development in the story. So please don't judge him too easily.

Actually the novel is also quite refreshing and interesting having a transmigration and reincarnation combo in the novel. MC's personality is really so fun and unique. I love how she is trying to escape her villain tragic ending and every time she almost succeed the ML is just right in the corner waiting to do his moves.

So far I'm liking the novel especially when the cute mini villain comes out! Spread the love and give this a chance. For now, I'm giving it a 4 star since I'm very hooked up with the story. Especially on how the MC and ML build their foundation of love.. <<less

Yea I thought I could read this but the dubious consent is really turning me off. I’m not even sure if it’s dubious or just pure r*pe. And I guess I’m not at the age anymore where I like overbearing ML who doesn’t give the FL a freedom of choice. So no thank you.

Male lead actually and genuinely loves female lead. He cares for her and their child. Female lead is understandably cautious, but not annoying. Good development of their relationship.

Consent part at the beginning is a little iffy, skip if you don't like.

I think a rookie must not mention r*pe after reading only one CN novel so far or rather ignoring the 'Josei' tag attached to it..... you might have judged based on only one novel or rather being too used 'Slice of life' tropes but this novel could be considered one of the better CN novels amongst the numerous other novels... CN novels usually focus on overbearing n possessive MLs (though there are exceptions) that try to dominate the FL..... their perverse n retrogressive action akin to that of a beast... more>> are usually balanced out by their handsome personas n author's well-written, imaginative texts... not to mention every story requires spice in the form of some emotion... whether it be pity or sadness for the MCs aka too much drama or a funny animatic trope..... so if you haven't tried other novels of the same 'genre' don't put together a review that might stop people from picking up this novel... well in my opinion it's a good read... the MTL has already published the translated version but the numerous grammatical errors might make them confused...n the Fuyu neko translators are doing a very well job in choosing some of the best CN novels n translating them for us... so kudos to u guys???... <<less

One thing I regret reading this, is that I read it when it wasn't completely translated. DAYUM, this is one good read I tell you! If only I could read chinese, if only I can MTL. This is really nice!

Some are complaining about how ML took advantage of MC but it's not like that at all. ML is the perfect gentleman. He was supposed to be the villain but all I read is how perfectly doting he is with MC. He always heeds after MC's words and everything. One of... more>> the best ML's!

Spoiler

The thing that some people complained is how he took advantage of her when she was asleep while he pretending to be in a coma. First of all, the pretending to be in a coma was because he had to. He had to fool his enemies that he wasn't awake yet. He couldn't do anything directly anyway because his legs weren't healthy yet. So what's the point in rattling the snake's nest and letting them be aware of him surviving his assassination. That's why he was pretending, not because he wanted to fool MC. And second, I know it was bad for him to do the stuff they did when MC was not fully awake (and thought of it as a dream) but do know that the Ye family also sinned. People keep on focusing about ML's bad deed when the Ye family basically scammed the Lu family by switching the daughters. Anyway, in the end, ML and MC are both so sweet together. For now in the translated chapters, ML hasn't even touched MC yet. A short kiss here and there and forehead kisses aplenty. That's the only thing ML has done because he wanted to wait for MC to give him the go.

ML is definitely a good man!

Tbh, I don't see why the others dislike it so much. I, for one, happen to love this story so much! The way the ML treats our MC so well, their relationship isn't too dramatic but it's nice and sweet from what I see so far, the ML gently takes care of her and does subtle things like heating up the car for her or giving her sleeping pills because she keeps having nightmares. Which I think its sweet, unless he's actually raping her, the others say it's only dreams... more>> but if so then that
Spoiler

wouldn't really explain the hickeys that they marked off as allergies, but well, although I'm not saying raping her is okay or nothing but it's there in every novel I've read so far. Unfortunately. At least the way he treats her is sweet.

[collapse]

And what they did to the older sister? Ohohoho, man that's my type of tea. Keep slapping her lmao. I'll give this a 4.5 out of five simply because of the r*pe but other then that it was great.

Edit: based on what I've read so far, it seems there's actually no r*pe! (Kinda!) So I'm really happy to give this story a 5/5 5 stars! :D <<less

It was ok. It wasn't great but it wasn't terrible. The relationship progression of the MC and ML is slow, steady, and healthy. There is no big dog-food or major insecurities in their relationship. The ML grows and is very good partner after a few chapters; very supportive, caring, and patient. The plot is kinda dull leaving aside the destruction of the "original MC's halo".

Here are main reasons why I didn't like it.

Spoiler

The story literally starts off with the ML raping the MC. The MC thought that she been occassionally having wet dreams about her husband/ML but she was actually being knocked out by the butler with sleeping pills- he didn't know ML was faking coma and simply wanted to help with MC's sleeping problems- and was being "eaten" in her semi-conscious state thinking she simply dreaming. The book tries to imply that wasn't necessarily r*pe since it says the MC jumped him first and that she doesn't mind the ML's indulgence of 'midnight snacks' but it still doesn't make it ok. She was drugged, not in state of mind to give consent, was not aware of her circumstances, was taken advantage of, and was lied to. Not cool.

Honestly, the MC isn't interesting. Sure she kinda feisty and relatable but she doesn't really have a strong character or anything outstanding about her. Also, why the hell did this story try to guilt-trip working moms. Like yeah, she should probably not devote most of her time to work but don't say she's not being a good mom simply because she wants to work. Also, she's too indulgent with their son... sigh.

Story starts becoming dull after the dad kidnaps the MC in order to get ransom from ML and use that money to pay off his massive gambling debt, there's plenty of drama but not enough dog-food or clever scheming to keep me fully indulged. It's very steady.

[collapse]

There isn't really anything outstanding about this story... sigh. It had so much drive and potential in beginning though. <<less

I was curious so I tried to MTL the story. The story itself is pretty light.. There's no twist and turn. At the begining, the story is quite interesting and exciting for me, but after it goes to the middle, it just seems flat to me. I finished reading, but probably won't bother to read or remember the plot in the future.

All in all, it was an okay read for me

This novel is one my favourites and I hope you guys will read ahead before dropping it.

In fact, I started this with the expectation to be disappointed.

It had all the ingredients of a semi-bad novel. It wouldn't be as horrible as some longish CN but not that great either. Like an OK read to pass time.

• There was the s*x with ML and then pregnant stereotype.

• Transmigration

• Previous FL is shi**y

• ML fall in love with MC so quickly.

• ex-MP in love with MC and a creepy stalker

• A smart MC

I've read my fair share of CN and usually this is recipe for disappointment.

Spoiler

the oh so smart MC actually acts s*upid.

the family takes advantage of her.

brainless ex-sis supposed ex-FL who should be exception (I mean shouldn't an FL still be great despite an OP villain. Like all cool-headed and actually be OKish with the villain?)

ML who LOVES MC treats her like a doll. Toss and temper tantrums of villains the decoration

children of MC. Just follows the stereotype of children of protagonist. No parent interaction at all.

[collapse]

Yeah. I still don't like how porridge was made and the ex-FL.

Before reading this novel, I went through the spoiler thread. I saw the Lu mom's pitiful situation and also creepy Lin Zhan at hospital.

This was like telling me that all my assumptions were right. Yeah, you shouldn't believe in spoilers 100%

Don't get me wrong --THEY'RE GREAT. But at times they give the wrong impression.

Spoiler

Lu Beichuan is actually a 'nice' guy. But I'll agree that he was a douche at the start. But read till chp 40 and you'l have a nice surprise. Especially the birth of porridge.

He treats Ye Zhen well and he waited for her to be comfortable in the family before he confessed and he DIDN'T TOUCH HER FOR TWO YEARS.

There was a lot of family time. And the MC and Lu Mother really spoil porridge but not in the over-exaggerated way. Just spoil. And the ML is the one who has to play bad cop. It was nice that the ML wasn't a total jealous ass and there was some geniune interaction between them.

[collapse]

It's well-paced and actually a really good read. If you read on, you'll see it's a gem. Not the best but a sweet and nice read.

Edit: OK. I admit the ending is abrupt... and the author's other novel too. Would be so nice if there was more~ <<less
