As tragedy befalls Xin Siyue, she soon finds herself transmigrated into a novel world as a character. To her disappointment, she became the villainess who obsessively chased after the male protagonist while scheming to tear apart his relationship with his beloved.

To avoid her death route, Xin Siyue carefully avoided the male and female protagonists at every turn. Instead, she went off on her own to enjoy life. But somewhere along the way, she made a mistake– the male protagonist took notice of her!

Xin Siyue’s eyes teared up as she was being kissed in Chen Sinan’s arms. ‘No! This wasn’t in the plot!’

my advice to the MC (main character) : call the police. dont go out alone. get a restraining order. is this romance or horror?

MC wakes up as the cannon fodder stalking horse of a novel, tries to get as far away from the psychotic "protagonist" as possible. goes as far as to change cities. Turns out rejection makes him indignant and he has to have it now that its gone. I dnt kno how anyone finds him attractive, he is an arrogant yandere nutjob. Typically when a woman pursues him... more>> (bc treating ppl like tr*sh is SOOOO attractive) he publically humiliates her and finacially ruins her family. So when the MC decides she doesnt want that and DARES to NOT pursue him, he stalks her, ignores her blatent refusals, abducts her, and uses force to keep her from leaving.

The only way I wld have continued to read this story is if he became the villian and the male "friend" side character became the lead. but decent human beings are just friends and aggressive men that show clear warning signs of abuse are hot...? right? <<less

Oh the ML is such a piece of shit. What is annoying me so much is that he's actually the ML so I know he ends up with her even though he doesn't deserve an inch of her. What BS.

I like the MC. I wish she stood her ground more instead of shrinking back every time the ML glares at her. It's just s*upid rly. I wish she'd beat the crap out of him just once. Blergh.

This is a mind numbingly irritating light novel. I tried reading it in hopes to get a better ML that is actually a decent person but I just keep getting a narcissistic possessive little cuck of a ML. Read the first few sentences of the latest chapter (48) and it is seems like he is still a bit*h ass tsundere child still who needs attention so no... I don't recommend reading this LN unless you like to just torture the MC.

The translation is superb. It's very easy to read, clean and clear. Full marks for this.

But the story... not so good.

The female lead is awesome - very different, down to earth, relatable, hardworking, and so much more. She knows her situation, works on herself and follows her dreams. She couldn't have been any better, IMO. She stands her ground and is a nice person. Not like other transmigrating leads at all and I'm glad about this.

What actually drags the story down, you might ask? It's the male lead. Where the... more>> f*ck did the author pick this guy up from? He doesn't respect the FL's wishes at all and forces hugs and kisses upon her so many times, even while the FL is literally struggling and scolding him. He forcefully hugs her but it's written as if it's cute and trendy to do so. What the f*ck? So the woman's opinions don't matter at all? He chases her so much and is literally like a stalker. The FL doesn't want anything to do with him, she doesn't talk to him (unless her harasses her), and doesn't ask anything from him. But this dude here meddles in her business and expects the FL to praise and kiss him for it even though the FL could have handled it herself. He does sh*t on his own and expects rewards even tho there was no need for him to jump in. What a f*cking weirdo.

I'm dropping this novel because this ass is going to get together with the FL eventually and I won't be able to stomach that. The novel was good till chapter 100 (a forced kiss has already happened) and now, on chapter 105, he forced another one on her after barging into her house at 6 f*cking AM. I can't read this anymore. He drags her to the couch and kisses her more as she's literally finding it hard to breathe and struggling. He's r*pey. <<less

This novel is quite interesting and there is some twist in the middle. MC (Xin Siyue) tried very hard to avoid ML (Chen Sinan) to the point she run to another city. She only wants to avoid the bad ending on her family. Unfortunately, ML already noticed her and pursued her shamelessly to bring her back as his wife. There is no family drama or faceslap in novel as this story tells more about their story and a lot of dog foods. People around them gives them blessing accept a... more>> few villain.

Spoiler

ML never truly loves FP (Sheng Wenyang) before. He only feels good about her and like her independence and intelligent. He feels pissed that FP took his feeling for granted and flies off to abroad without any words. ML only accept FP in books as he didnt feels good with blind date his family arranged. In the middle story, MC transmigrate and ML truly falls hard for her. MC once said that even in book, ML never pursue FP like that.

MC accept ML as she realised that she is her own person and not the character in book as ML is also a person.

[collapse]

After they were together, both of them trust each other a lot and even FP cannot shake their relationship. <<less

Passable, but nothing too great. The chapters are very very short so better wait for every 50chapters. The characters are ok but do not catch your eye. Its kinda annoying how everyone care about other people's love life but that's maybe how children is so I try not to be annoyed too much.

Edit

I did get annoyed with the insipid writing and s*upid characters so I drop this.

As of chapter 113—

A series of two narrow minded fools' infinite counter of "you never try to understand me" whilst not trying to understand the other. Speak one-sidedly, think one-sidedly and act one-sidedly. They push their opinion on each other but don't actually try to be considerate of the other. They're both good at their profession (as told in the story that they are successful) but d*mb as f*ck when it comes to each other.

Spoiler

Though after a few—almost a hundred— chapters, ML did start lowering his ego, albeit still remaining pushy, in order to pursue the FL. (Imo, it's considered as harassment but with the way the FL is, in order for the story to keep rolling, I understand that it's the only way to keep himself attached to her) I actually appreciate his act of lowering his ego a bit because it means he's actually got a bit of brain to think things through. Though, thats the only thing I appreciate about him. Unlike the FL.

FL, —SIIIIIIGGGHHH—, she's good in all aspects, personality-wise. Except when it comes to ML. She becomes d*mb as a chicken. Somewhere around c90-100 she finally realises that things doesn't seem to be the same as the book. But as a d*mb chicken she was, who the f*ck cares right? The title's to avoid the protagonist so she should do just that, and she did. At c112/113 she has another realisation, that she has been badly prejudiced against the ML because of the book from her past life. But she decides she doesn't want to think of it and sets it aside :)

[collapse]

Ya'll this ship's bound to sink. Maybe the novel's gonna end with an HE after their push and pull and infinite misunderstands but I see them getting a divorce beyond their HE.

I'm actually a little impressed with myself for enduring through a hundred of redundantly brainless chapters. <<less

I’ve read over 150+ novels, and this is the first time I’ve ever felt so strongly enough to leave a review.

I don’t expect all my ML and FL to be perfect, but I do expect them to be decent human beings, with the common sense to acknowledge that they are wrong and they should be punished accordingly for their wrongdoings.

Everything in this novel was passable until the ending:

I absolutely cannot believe how the ending brushed over the fact she forced a second child on him without his consent.

ML had made it very clear that he did not want a second child due to the trauma of having her slip into a coma the first time she gave birth. The FL pretended to by sympathetic and understanding, all the while actively deceiving and lying to him by searching online on how to get pregnant without your partner knowing.

In the end, the fact that she got pregnant without his knowledge or consent is and was never handed any sort of consequence is unbelievable to me. Imagine if the roles were switched in their situation: a wife told her husband due to the trauma of her first delivery, she didn’t want to have a second child, and her husband lied to her face, saying that he understood and supported her decision, while also forcibly imp**gnating her without her knowledge or consent.

If one party wants children and another doesn’t, then the adult thing to do is to have a discussion or go see a counselor, not get pregnant behind your partner’s back. By doing so, you are actively destroying the trust between you two, and I can’t believe the author didn’t address this humongous relationship red flag.

[collapse]

It’s absolutely appalling how the ending glossed over her actions and made it seem as if it’s okay for such a thing to happen in a relationship. Newsflash: IT’S NOT OKAY.

Rated 3 stars as gratitude for the translator for completing this novel and not dropping it. <<less

This one is a short but sweet novel. There's bit of misunderstanding at the beginning

Spoiler

because the FL already read the whole book where she transmigrated and she knew that being in contact with the male protagonist will lead to death flags for her and to her family

[collapse]

But eventually the FL and ML got together and will sprinkle dog food every where hahahahah...

Another thing that I like here is that even though it has a cliche plotline but there are still things that makes it stand above other similar novels

Spoiler

1. the author of the novel also transmigrated in the novel and became the main antagonist, 2. The FL went back to her own world but she really loved the ML so she tried to look for the book and find out what happened after she delivered her baby and 3. She successfully went back to the novel world and reunited with the ML

[collapse]

The only thing that I'm dissatisfied with this is that the extra chapters about the side characters. The author made it a bit open ended. I really want to read more about FL's brother and also of Mo Bei's love story huhuhu...

Overall, a very good read and I might re-read this once it is completed translated. <<less

ML is so disgusting, I couldn't stand him. I hate him so that I wanted drug him and sent him to Female protagonist. I am disappointed that likable MC choose narcissistic and scum possessive ML. Did she forget how this disgust guy humiliated original host. I just realized women truly like scum and narcissistic men. No wonder they always get betray by them. No pity for women, served them right.

It's kinda hard to keep up with the story, it's overall just stagnant; the plot, the various miscellaneous filler details about filler characters, weird unbalanced progress between ML & FL.
ML is really the type I personally hate the most, overbearing CEO does whatever the F he wants and doesn't put even the law in his eyes type. Author is simply fanning the flames of my hatred for these types by describing him as a high and mighty "I'm above you all" poise from time to time.
FL is the... more>> only one who seems to have common sense a normal logical thought process, the rest are either obsessive as their roles as cannon fodder or just extremely pesky. <<less

I really hate this. To be exact, I'm so annoyed by this. Not just I hate the ML, but I seriously hate the side characters too. They're so annoying since they like to pester the MC about ML. I was like, "can you please stop mentioning the s*upid ML??". Also, the characters around MC likes to shipped them both. I mean, seriously, in real life, if you said that you have no connection with him, people would stop shipping so much already! I felt so frustrated and even cursed several... more>> times. Almost every character in this book is s*upid except MC. I'm sorry to be so harsh but this is how I truly feel. <<less

Only reason my rating isn't one star is because of the MC. Other than her? It was all aggravating. ML is a self-absored dirtbag whose only redeeming qualities are his wallet and his face. He translates everything MC does into something that has something to do with liking him. I'd say he's a tsundere, but that's an insult to real tsundere.

Other than that, the people around them don't seem to understand the concept of no and changing and think MC only breathes because of ML's existence. They don't even seem... more>> to understand the gravity of the situation that MC was in a hospital.

Just, I tried. Did not work. But the MC was cool. <<less

Worst Modern Story ever, the MC is dumb as hell!!!! Pissing me off why this was on my recommended list.

I do'nt Hate the ML, I already expected that they would end up together but the way the girl avoids him is just dumb! Like I cannot create the axact term I cam call the girl she is plain annoying as hell!

If you are the type who likes a straightforward character DO NOT even bother to read this! Girl is such a fool that pretend I don't want to go but... more>> I'm curious so I'll go but yeah I also dont want to see the ML but yeah I'm also 100% aware that he will be there! Like WTF?! Can't you starighten up and figure out what you want to do?! If you DO NOT LIKE IT , then just plainly avoid it why do you have to provide too much explanation?! Dumb I tell you! <<less

My view after reading half of this story: Male lead is a serious head-case crazy caveman; he doesn't speak, has attitude problem and an ego the size of a continent. Tl work is good tho.

I changed my last review because I read the raws with machine translation and the few things I understand are Chen Shinan is a posesive guy. I don't like him at all, at first I was enchanted by this novel but as you read the next chapters the plot will get worse.

I'm glad that someone is translating this! I've read the raw chapters a long time ago and in my opinion, it is a worthwhile read. The though the story was somewhat cliche--FL waking up in a novel world as a villainess and tried to avoid death flags by staying away from the ML but got the interest of the ML instead.

There weren't too much angst here and it was somewhat fluffy and heartwarming near the end of the story.

I hope the TL will keep translating this.

I agree with everyone, the ML is a harassing stalker that frequently kidnaps, physically manhandles, and basically assaults the FL. There is no romance, it’s a gradual and depressing wear down of the FL as everyone from her harasser to her own classmates force her to be with the ML. Listen, she switches majors, leaves the city, and makes it crystal clear to everyone that she doesn’t want anything to do with him... and we’re supposed to think it’s “cute” that he wins her?

Also, the moment where she starts changing her mind is so damn unrealistic and s*upid. It’s so forced in there and OOC for her. She basically is like “oh I was prejudiced against him from my past life, what has he done to me now?” And as a reader you are like- how about the stalking and constant harassing he’s been doing relentlessly??? Like girl you had to completely uproot your life to get away from him and you’re wondering if you’re being unfair to him??? Would have been so satisfying if she really had just stayed single and worked on her career like she clearly wanted.

I'll always applaud the translator for an amazing job. It's easy to read, and having their interaction is what keeps me coming back to this story.

Now for the actual review, this story follows the typical "I transmigrated and now I'll change, but I'll expect everyone else to stay the same". It's not exceptionally good, but it's not that bad. The good part is Chen Sinan's family. They're hilarious. The bad part is Chen Sinan.

Spoiler

Considering how he manhandled the MC and always bothered her, you'd think the author finds this creepy behavior acceptable. Sinan has kidnapped her, kissed her, threatened her, thrown her aside, sta lked her, etc. He's tr*sh, and I don't think he deserves to be ML. Nevermind the fact that he has the original FL, Sheng Wenyang, in an ambiguous relationship with him because he's allergic to clarifying anything.

It´s ok. I do like the MC. That´s the only reason I´m continuing reading this.

But all other characters (except MC´s brother) are hateful. Really annoying, ridiculous ones that hover over MC like they have nothing else going on in their lives. This novel is littered with very superficial characters, which I don´t mind if only they weren´t so one dimensional.

But the worst part is ML. Gosh what a narcissistic guy. Unfortunately we all know MC will end up with him but I´ll keep reading in hope she deflates his ego... more>> more, which would be the only satisfying thing. <<less
