- I guess it's kinda a 'reasonable-ish' attempt at a 'world becomes fantasy RPG' story.
The BAD:- Pacing is awful. first 10 chapters are detailed minutiae level rambling exposition and forced narrative/speculation.
- Yet another 'this character sheet's development' story- only with way more discussion and analysis of the underlying rules. Seriously- half of the story is easily the character sheet & extended discussions about it/jobs/skills/more speculations, exposition, etc. discussions on potential. Friggin' walk-through on the 'underlying game' more than a novel about the MC.
- MC is a coward. I swear so many Japanese writers make these 'I'm pretty powerful, but other people dying is not my problem' stories that it's just sad.
Spoiler

- MC is an idiot. I know the writer thinks otherwise because of hack/tricks, but...
Spoiler

- MC is a sociopath.

- Plotting is shallow/convenient. MC speculates on a need? It'll show up soon. Also suffers from 'I prepared this earlier' disease...
The DIFFERENT:This clown can literally drop major appliances and cars on enemies, but is still afraid to help others 'not die'- because they might ask him to join them or something. When you see more powerful monsters and organized monster groups- maybe you can consider a few allies may come in handy.
when you walk to an SOS sign, see enemies, then turn tail... What did you think you'd find, jerk? You wasted your own time for nothing.
By Ch 29 the MC finds out 'plain as day', that his conveniently hoarding everything in his cheat item box leaves others with nothing to survive with. Says valiant MC "But, clearly wiping the buildings clean was going too far. It was bound to attract undesirable attention.
Though, I didn't feel like returning it either."
Really, MC? You have so much, and you care that little? It's not even like they're bad guys- they took in refugees... well, whatever...
- Nothing. Rambling, boring MC?
Overall, 'wtf, author?' Now, the story may go somewhere- but so far (29 chapters) he's done so little, a different author could cram al this in 2-3 chapter- easy. That said, Except for the pacing and apparent pointlessness so far, it's not bad-- but I wouldn't recommend it by any stretch...author smartly never gives an exact count to compare, so he can keep killing
just look at the bosses he faces, not one can be killed properly
He meets an op monster called high orc early on who's roar is enough to kill people, since then he takes a careful approach even if he is dozens of times stronger. And tbh he needs it, really strong enemies keep searching for him
he actively seeks danger, kills off his enemies (so far not by his own hands), he even quipped once that harems are good to hear but in a survival world who has time for it
There's also the subtle hidden hints of a higher being setting things up and some overarching plotline

- "MC is a psychopath"
yeah sure he's hoarding the food, what do you expect him to do? Let the goblins eat them? Or maybe leave them to rot? N*****o's group could barely even collect them!
Development does happen further down the line.He joins the City Hall group though didn't actively participate and treated like a secret ace. He provides some of the stored food which is distributed according to contribution.
His "cowardice" has reasons, for he isn't skilled enough to fully maximize his skills. That may be compensated with the current training mini-arc.
Story has a number of issues which annoy me and make me dislike it. World building is halfassed, we literally know jacksh*t about whats going on outside of the city the MC is in after 100 chapters, and we also arent really clear on how the world exactly became after the integration so far, it just seems like monsters and some plant life were spawned in after the merging? Apparently post apocalytic levels of no humans happened after a single night where the MC was asleep which he didnt wake up during because tired salary worker??? No real explanation there. There's quite a few people who are just holed up in their homes but it's not really explored or gone indepth, and there's a lot of the usual cringe cliches of people not wanting to kill and dragging everyone down in the groups of people who do kill. The author also pulls the epic "electricity suddenly stopped working" despite that nothing else is really effected. No radiowaves, nothing. Probably going to be chalked up to a System interference by the author later on. I should also mention that it's been 4 days in universe so far and somehow there hasn't been any actual work or reasonable grouping together. Major plot point is that people dont have access to the internet or something so they cant communicate yet Sniper girl character literally got a mail skill which allows her to message anyone she knows or is in front of her on the second day. You would think by extension that this would have already been found by tons of other people by now, and since whoever you mail can also buy the skill for one point or so after getting a mail, this should mean the user amount would exponentially increase to eventually have a message system network by now. But nope, nobody else has seem to gotten this skill. Major plot hole.
MC also is pretty cringe, standard "it's tiresome" loner who literally abandons people to die or doesnt help because "it's not my problem" shithead mentality who shows more attention to his immersion breaking Doge dog that he has which has human tier characteristics and behaviors, like showing jealousy if he looks at other dogs. 🤢🤮. He as well as other characters have several cringy shouts that can span like 2 to 3 solid lines, one prominent one somewhere around chapter 60s where Momo his dog gets captured by a enemy and he goes into this really cringy shout along the lines of "GIVE... ME.. BACK.... MOMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" that's just impossible to take seriously. This isnt the only issue where the dumb doge dog is part of, the girl in the cover literally only joins the MC's party just because of the fact that she wants to be able to pet the dog often due to it's "amazing cute fur" and that "dog lovers are good people". Yeah, real amazing deep characters. Not to mention the fact that the dog cant even talk, it literally just barks the same sound but MC is just able to understand it's emotions through his party link or something.
Don't even get me started on the side characters. Main first girl is a Shutin Sniper girl who has a severe social anxiety disorder who throws up on the MC the first time meeting him. Should I also mention that it seems like the author is going for a harem party by the way? The author has brought in shutin girls highschool friend as well as introduced MCs old company coworkers who just coincidentally have him in their minds as the person they wish was there to help them despite the fact that MC himself never cared that much about the company and never was close to anyone there. Truly amazing stuff.
Honestly don't bother reading this, the only good notable thing about this story is the fact that it's a Japanese attempt at system intrigration apocalypse.

- Extremely cute and strong Shiba Inu dog companion
