What I really like about this novel is that the main character is not an all knowing Goddess. She is a simple person with a terrible past life who is trying to make sure her life is better this time.

When the story started, it felt a bit shaky at first but it improved quite a bit in the following chapters.

I feel that it might not be the greatest book I have ever read but it gives you that fresh feeling that most novels just don't have today.

The Main Character of... more>> this novel even after Rebirth is not the smartest person which I really like since Rebirth shouldn't make you a God.

So nice novel, keep it up.

P.S Props for Translation Quality (Not the best but it is close to the top contenders) <<less

I could have a lot of complaints from this novel, like I dont like genres where the FL is at even a slight disadvantage, I prefer a strong independant FL, and while Han Yuxi isnt exactly all that due to having so many stronger enemies and it being ancient china where women have no rights to speak of, I still cant stop reading this novel... So I guess thats why it deserves 5 stars

My first review!

It's been a few years since I started readings lightnovels. I loved a lot of them and made my personnal list. There are very few 5 stars on it but I feel like this one merit this rating and this comment.

My favorite novels types are romance, fantasy and sometimes action. Not everyone likes the same things but I really hope that more will read this book and appreciate it like I did.

To be honest, I read the first few chapters ans I was like "when will the ML... more>> come? When will the real story begin?" I was seriously considering changing novel. Afterwards, the more I read, the more I was hooked and just coudn't put it down.

It took me 3 weeks to finish this novel and at the end I felt a hole in my chest like I was physically sad that it was over. In my 27 years of life, only in the best books this happened.

In Han Yuxi life nothing is perfect and no characthers are perfect. This imperfection was what made this novel real and at the same time beautiful.

There is no extreme plots and everything is well rounded and explained.

Romance is there but it js not idealised. There is action, sadness, hapiness and jokes.

I really, really loved this book and I hope that those who read this comment can give it a shot, you may, just as I did, fall in love with Han Yuxi.

I really liked this novel and I recommend it. It is very detailed and shows extraordinary character growth mostly from the MC and her husband. I was disappointed by many side characters who started out well but ended up doing something s*upid like her adoptive mother and second brother.

Right now I am taking a break from this because I feel tired for her and I felt discouraged when I learned that all her hard work was destroyed by her children in the extras. It sound realistic but disappointing considering all... more>> the hard work she's been doing. It feels unfair...

Nevertheless this novel is a masterpiece in terms of character realism and details. <<less

Ok, I will admit that I'm not used to do reviews (even for the novels that I really like), but this time I just fell that I need to.

Yuxi reborn, but it doesn't transform her into some incredible genius. She takes time to control her emotions, she still have anger about the ones who makes her suffer.

This is not a story about how she changes and makes everyone like her. This is a story that show a really real life perspective of the Ancient Times.

You will suffer reading? Of course.... more>> You will wish that just Yuxi start the *Overpower Reborn mood*? Yes, you will. But the fact that it never happens, make this story one of the best.

I wish that you will give it a chance.

Oh...I'm really enjoying this. Thought the rebirth trope isn't uncommon... the author has actually portrayed it in a different way. Usually, the FL will immediately start her revenge but here FL was brought back to a very young age and she mainly fights for survival. Not only that we see her growing up slowly, changing and maturing. The author has written the story very well. Honestly, it was so addictive that I'm totally into it... as if the events are actually happening in front of my eyes. Now Han Yuxi... more>> just feels like a daughter to me lol.

I'm just waiting for the translation... mtl just ruins the experience. <<less

I am still at chapter 360 (as far as translation goes), but this novel has always been the number 1 in my list since I came across it like 250 chapters ago. It is probably still too early to comment because (including the extras) there are still about 1926 chapters to go -- but I am rating and commenting now because I want more people to find this underrated novel.

So many characters (really many, no joke!) with their personalities, interests, ambitions, motives, etc interrelated and affecting each other. Hidden motives... more>> and personal thoughts are aplenty here, and that's what makes it interesting.

Yuxi as the main MC is very interesting, she is complex and her emotions are natural. I can't believe I use 'natural' on a reborn character, but she is. She behaves and thinks like how a strong and resilient character should do, and she is very smart! She doesn't hide behind shyness or cuteness, and even when she cries (fake or real!), you can see how tough she is.

A great kudo for the translator for the excellent job, not only for the amazing translation, but also for making the characters alive with the insightful comments and funny gifs!

I may write more after a few hundred more chapters or so. <<less

This is the second time trying to read this novel, and I still can't help but think that either the author began the story too early or just made all the children too much of a genius to be able to think about complicated things or even be as eloquent. I'm not really expecting realism on ancient Chinese novels but as I have read too many well build characters and settings, this is harder for me to read.

I also rarely based my opinion on some low rated reviews but as... more>> I've read some of those, that made me solidify my decision to stop reading this novel.

I won't rate this as it isn't fair to rate this after 10 chapters but I will leave my opinion here lest I convince myself to try to read this again if I can't find anything else to read <<less

first of all. This is the most realistic transmigrated novel i've ever read!This novel is so detailed about how FL work really hard since she was 5 years old. And she doesn't just wake up one day and know everything. She works hard for what she wants and everyday she works for it. Just reminder for all the readers. for those readers who only wants romance this book is not for you if you are impatient. Because the first 200+ chapter is all about how the Female Lead growth.

last but... more>> not the least. I want to thank the translators who pour their effort to translate and explained with the picture every chinese idioms. Beliefs. Traditionals. And music on this novel. Since I was a foreigner I really really appreciate it. This is a good story, I quite like it from when She was little until she had children, this is really like a biographical book, we can feel the difficulties and joys of life in this story, this is quite refreshing, I can feel the difficulties, she studied hard from a young age and finally succeeded even though there are many obstacles starting from her family and being hunted by the enemy, even the process of raising children is very difficult. Even though it feels quite long, it is really... more>> worth reading if you have the time. There are many flaws in this story, such as lots of plot holes, wars that aren't really explained, and the villains I hate the most don't end up as bad as I expected.

BTW June Haoxie wrote a book that tells the story after the dynasty founded by Yuxi, there are several incidents that mention Yuxi and her family implicitly, the women's school she founded, etc., although yes, this story in her new book seems to be 5 generations after Yuxi's life.
The title is 家有悍妻怎么破 or How to break up a family with a fierce wife <<less

The story was interesting at first. It was refreshing to see that despite being reborn, there are still people more talented than the MC and she's working hard to improve herself on things she deemed useful.

However, the weekness of this novel is that it is too lengthy. Most of the chapters are just description of daily life and things the MC busies herself with. It became boring overtime.

The narrative focuses more on "telling" rather than "showing" the story. The translation is readable compared to the usual mtl but it still... more>> needs a lot of editing. Reading further hurts my brain.

I would've read more but I recently read the spoiler for future chapters. I think ut would be a waste of time to read this, considering the spoiler and the fact that I'm growing bored. <<less

This is my number one. Can you believe it? I've read thrice this novel from start to finish. A whole over 2000 chapters. It'z just that good. Kudos to translator-nim. She did a really good job.

I just like the flow of the novel. From a young girl to the empress dowager. Our protagonist is just what we need. Smart, beautiful, cunning and hard-working. I don't think she's too OP. That's what make me keep going. Keep looking forward to her life. I stopped reading this novel when I reached over... more>> 600s ch. At that time, I thought FL is too cruel. But then again after a year I read again from start to finish. So whoever wants to stop reading, when you want to read it again or you suddenly remember this novel, don't hesitate. Just dive in. You'll never be disappointed. <<less

Definitely not a perfect book but it is a great read. I love how the author didn’t blindly color people as white and black. Most characters were gray and no one really was perfect even the main character Yuxi and Yun Qing. At first I was disappointed that there was a blemish in their marriage, but thinking of reality - how the two got back together and move forward with their marriage as well as establishing their dynasty was even more moving. Perfect doesn’t always equate success or pure happiness.... more>> More often times, success is even sweeter after overcoming many great hardships.

I admire our MC's character. She's so down to earth. She's not OP. There's someone better than her but the author still managed to make her 'stand out' in her own way. I guess I just got tired of reading stories with MC being the most and best at everything that this story is somehow refreshing (?) I like how it tries to be as realistic as possible— which is not actually possible. Lol. Wtf am I even saying.

I love the sibling relationship between her and Yu Chen. And also... more>> her cousins (人 •͈ᴗ•͈). Hope it stays that way or I'm gonna scream.

I wanna MTL it but I figured it would just ruin my reading experience.

This is a really great novel! The pace is slow but never boring, its a very satisfying and peaceful read. I haven't gotten very far in the story yet but I am always impressed by the MC and how smart and resourceful she is without it being in your face and unrealistic. She's just a girl with an extra bit of knowledge from her past life, trying her best to keep her and her loved one safe. I'm always happy to see a new update!

This is so good. The translations are excellent. I read up to chapter 131 in one weekend (reading non-stop).

The MC is a female who's mother passed away. She is the Di (legal) daughter and is unloved by her father and grandmother, but is loved by her aunt. She has a few older sisters - a few borne from concubine's. An older di sister (different mother) and a di younger sister (different mother).

The MC lived a miserable life and was reborn.

The reason why I really like this one is - her... more>> older sister is the one that is seemingly perfect - and it's not that she's scheming. She's just the very perfect daughter that everyone loves. She's not malicious - I actually didn't quite like her in the beginning because she seems unreal - but that's how a lot of other females think about her sister.

The MC doesn't try to be perfect - she only does what she thinks will optimize her effort. I like that she's not perfect and doesn't even try to be perfect. She's a hard worker - and tries to divert troubles from her previous life - but is wary not to change her personality too much to avoid suspicions.

There are some faults - like how the MC is unbelievably mature as a young child and way too intelligent for her age. Lol I just added 5 years to her age in my head and it's all good. <<less

So far it's actually really good. This isn't a novel where the MC is overpowered and gets everything she wants. MC also doesn't get rid of her enemies the way these usual old China dynasty stories go. She doesn't just wake up one day and know everything. She works hard for what she wants and everyday she works for it.

The stories is detailed in how she has been working hard since she was five years old. It's really good, I recommend it.
