It's not a novel you can take too seriously. I wouldn't really call it parody though. It's more an amalgamation of every sort of power system you might find a Chinese novel - cultivators, systems, straight super-powers, transmigrators, etc. Basically all those things listed in the synopsis are not there just to make a point, but are actually part of the world. It's mostly not too important though.

It's not too unusual for... more>> there to be even 10 chapters (not the half-chapters that have unfortunately become the norm, but full ones) that are just going into great detail about how a side-character of a side-character is having a long fight. It's not important to the story at all, but it just keeps going on. At least usually it's merely about a side-character, I guess. But the point could be made much, much faster than it is. It feels more like the author is trying to avoid writing about the MC than anything else.

I'm not sure if this next bit should be blamed on the author or translator, but the story constantly jumps between different characters as a first-person narrator. No character gets their thoughts shown in the usual way, instead they briefly become the point-of-view for the narrator and dump out a few lines as a stream of consciousness. Either way, it takes a bit of getting used to.

The translation quality is also pretty mediocre. It's very understandable, but it's pretty riddled with errors. It's mostly tenses, and word endings that suffer. You'll find people that have a "face of full of complacent" and that kind of thing fairly frequently. However it's rarely confusing.

And it's got bouts of the usual consumerism/brand fetishism. Not sure why an OP undead would spend a whole chapter going on about the brand and cost of a bunch of human luxury goods, but hey. It's only a few chapters.

But yeah. If you don't think too hard, it's mostly fun. A few bits need to be skimmed, some kind of long, but it's not like any of it matters anyway. <<less

There is no logic in this novella. The female main character was shown at the beginning as a typical cold female CEO-president, but the author almost immediately forgot about it and changed her character instantly. As a result, she became a gentle, kind character who is even willing to sacrifice her life for some strangers. The same thing happened with the rest of the characters, the author can just change a character's character just like that.
Also, too many dumb inserts like the world cup, playing PUBG, children's Chinese cartoons, playing the mobile Chinese analog of dota2.
I'm too lazy to mention everything else. If you do intend to read this novella, just turn off logic, for all the action is illogical.

While this story was pretty funny and entertaining in the first 100 chapters or so, but after that it just kept getting kept getting worse and worse with to many wasted chapters on crappy characters that aren't interesting or entertaining and the MC (when it decided to finally show it from his POV) was getting more annoying and immature by the chapter that by chapter 250 he treated his "wives" so bad that the average CN MC that had a harem would be considered "husband of the century" compared too... more>> this moron, which lead to one of the most cringe things I ever read when him and his subordinates orchestrated a huge fight involving 2 different major powers (one of which one of his wives was the empress of) that got thousands of people killed (including around 20-30% of his wife's army) just so he could intervene when his wife was ready to sacrifice her life and "save the damsel in distress" to get her to fall in love with him, the whole fight took around 20 chapters and I couldn't even finish it. <<less

Action framework is shit, I repeat.

But the comedy is gold. Well the genre is parody. It successfully pulled that off

My complaints are on tl. Tl is good but inconsistent. Chapters are short. You can see the duration yourself.

Well, tl is busy. It's just ranting. Tl faithfully continued this for years despite his schedule. Good job but the release rate is meh~
