After his fall, the Duke who was distant with his wife and daughter recalled his memories of another world. With a new perspective on life, he swore to cherish and protect those two.

This novel is very enjoyable to read at first. Like all the reviewers said, it’s very fluffy and heartwarming - however, there is no story beyond that. I got pretty far and the more I read, the more bored I got. Eventually, I forgot any good feelings I had about this novel and I just felt like it was a chore to read. Every time a new chapter updated, I just thought to myself, “Is anything significant going to happen this time?” Most of the time, the answer was “No.”... more>> The bland plot ruined it for me so I’m finally dropping it at chapter 118. <<less

I'll say that those who say he is a creep are wrong as he is not a different person... Just think of it like a person remembering his past life or something as he is a mixture of past self and current self but his past self takes over more.

It is pure fluff...

No perticular plot... Just slice of life....

Good personality and for those who are saying baking is wrong for a noble man... He is a f ing Duke... No one can talk sh*t about him and he is op... more>> and does not give a f what any one else thinks. As for his changes he only became softer but has still retain past merits of work rather improving and getting better...

Personally I think good fluff reincarnated novel from a male lead's view as generally romance and fluff are generally from FL's view... <<less

The way the MC and his wife react in the early chapters is just way too unrealistic. After getting his memory from another world and the game, the MC started showing affection towards the Duke's wife because he fell love at first sight after waking up. Shouldn't he feel even a bit of delicacy after getting those memories and not say affectionate words to the Duke's wife because it's not the MC's wife but the Duke's wife.

And also the part when the wife replied "I love you too" to the MC just won't connect with the Duke's memory. Because according to the Duke's memory the wife is married the duke due to a political marriage and they almost have no communication with each other. So where did her love come from? Unless there's a back story about their past.

Nevertheless it's still a wholesome story that would be enjoyable to read while your brain is turned off and ignoring some common sense. Well it's an otome game, isekai fantasy story after all.

An interesting premise that is ruined by sub-standard writing.

The game setting is pretty orthodox and this is the first time I've read about the reincarnator being a father (rather than the villainess / her brother / servant / etc., of which there are many). However, other than appreciating his wife and child, he doesn't do much. The explanation of the character's original behaviour is late and basically only mentioned as an afterthought despite its severity. One would expect this backstory to have at least some influence on the MC's actions,... more>> but it's completely ignored despite the MC supposedly having clearer memories of his current life than his previous one.

His activity as a duke is also barely mentioned, despite the fact that he supposedly has some administrative cheats. There are a bunch of things that change in that universe due to the reincarnation and usually that would be sufficient to warrant actually being covered by the plot, but alas, not in this novel.

The cast of the otoge are slowly introduced at a pace of what feels like one every ~10 chapters. They basically have a few lines of dialogue and then the story returns to the MC doting on his wife and child. Now, that is what the title says, but I didn't expect that to be all. At this rate it will take another hundred or two hundred chapters before the plot even begins.

If you're looking for an extremely light and extremely slow paced piece of fluff, this may be a good fit. But otherwise this novel provides nothing beyond a brief distraction. <<less

All I could say about this is you cant be mad after reading a chapter of this fluff marshmello story.

Very sweet, dont expect hard drama and action, if you go into this with that mindset you would enjoy it alot

Idc about his background that much, just wanted to tell future/potential readers that this story is about a guy who transmigrated into a game as the father of the villainess and a crap husband.

Since he came, he strive to be the best of his ability to do good to both of his wife and daughter.

What I don't like is, he, as a doting father and husband, who already busy as it is with work, involve himself to some length with a character that isn't that much of importance.

he, saw a potential suitor for her daughter, which I doubt will be his son in law later, being in harsh training, thus offering himself as the teacher, as if there is no other solution left. Very annoyed about that.

Decent premise, terrible writing... Idk how many times the MC has repeated the same lines, the author is out of plot device after just a dozen chapter. Idk what's up with these first person LN stories but these monologues are just unbearable, stories written in third person somehow feels more relatable. Final thought, if you have high cringe tolerance and you are here just for the fluff, go ahead. If you are critical about writing and flow of the story, it'd be best if you leave now.

The story itself is pretty decent with somewhat interesting characters however the level of writing is terrible, I doubt it's the translations fault either. There's not a whole lot to say other than it's very simple yet heartwarming and I wish it were written more skillfully.

Overall I'd recommend it if you're feeling a bit lonely or just want something soft and easy to read just don't expect anything deep or exciting.
