Intelligent characters, awesome counterattacks, great food pics, and an engaging plot of mystery and intrigue - this is probably one of the best CN novels I’ve ever read.

How it differs from every CN and BL novels out there: it makes sense. The slow burn romance with background stories between them, it just doesn't happen. The plot was well thought out and actually makes sense, not unlike Face of the Devil (I still love it, but the overarching plot makes no sense).

This is amazing!!! After I read so many Quick Transmigration novels, I feel that some of them are repetitive and predictable, but this novel is different a good different. I would say that this is better than FOD.

MC is smart, logical, seemingly cold but also caring to the people around him. ML is not a typical overbearing ml, but a really caring person. The romance is slow burn which makes me like all the interaction between MC and ML.

MC and ML interaction is so precious I can’t even desbribe it with words. And the translation team did a really really good work (srsly guys, thank you so much!)

The story is not too heavy, it’s even slightly heart-warming with parts that can make you cry buckets. Unlike usual stories where characters of the transmigrated world is dumb and a green tea or white lotus, the author managed to put variations that are humane and really alive!

I rank this above FOD for its unexpected plot

Oh the heartache. I love every bits of our MC Chi Xiaochi. He's not your regular host in transmigration worlds. He cared about his host's body and each time, I got a heartbreak from it because he's so desperate to get back to his original world. However, he knows the thing that he longs for is no longer there. Nevertheless, he never gives up to get back to his original world. There's also a lot of conspiracy between the host, the system and the Lord God. Everything is intriguing, each... more>> story has their own charms, heartache and satisfying revenge. Not so much face-slapping because MC tries not to go overboard with his actions and if you read it, you'll understand his reasons for acting as such. I really like this so far. It has been much different from typical BL or typical quick transmigration with System novels. The MC treats the 'characters' bodies and lives he's inhabiting with respect and tries to get them justice and put their lives on track to a mentally & physically healthier place. The author addresses abusive relationships, racism, h*mophobia, child abuse etc in refreshingly honest way. Most BL novels are written by women for women. This seems different. It seems more like gay literature (written by LGBTQ person for a... more>> LGBTQ audience). The ML is not blackbelly tsundare possessive control freaks like other MLs that are so popular. Okay when I read this, I figured it was a typical QT type thing but omg I was wrong in the best way. Like damn! This is only two arcs in and it’s intense, honestly much darker than I thought it would be too, especially in regards to the whole system. The gong and shou’s past is slowly explored and makes them incredibly well rounded, the MC despite being quite, uh, I guess morbid (?) has a strong morality as well as a simple if sad goal to work to... more>> for.

Anyway I’m not gonna spoil but this is definitely unique, taking faceslapping to whole new heights really while also having a very interesting subplot with the mystery of the system itself. Also the arcs are long af which I like lol 100/5 <<less

I picked up this story without much expectation but it truned out differently. A very good different from most quick-wear stories (not included QWTFOD bc that's my favourite one).

I've finished arc 1 and I like it. The original story of this arc was not too extremely dramatically tragedy and the way MC handled the story was not too out of reached. I hope all other arcs are good too.

I really recommend for every ones (who don't like to cry themselves a river everytime they read quick-wear stories) to give this... more>> one a try. Five stars from me.

Edit: I'm now at the ghost arc and OMG this is the most creative and scariest s**t I've ever read. Scariest because I'm not fan of thriller stories and have rarely read them.

The only thing I have problem with is that MC looked down on other people/systems too much it's kind of annoying. <<less

I really enjoy this story as it’s has the same tropes and format as other World Hopping BL genre, but than it expands the romance between MC and ML to feel more than gong and shou interactions. For example, we actually get to read MC’s life before the transmigration which is really refreshing and thus fuels his desire to return home. And I enjoy how the ML is yandere or loves the MC immediantly.

I cant believe how much I enjoy their growing relationship. Slow burn ❤️

There is a definitive feeling... more>> that the author has a plot in the back of their mind, as already I can tell clues about their past are placed in the story. The first two worlds are so exciting, I can’t wait to read more!

Just finished this novel and I cannot withhold my excitement. After FOD, every novel I read was good but like abt same and the MCs are basically carved from the same mold but this, this novel asks the real qns and explores the Lord God being a villain and has an actual MC who schemes only against the scum gong and leaves the other smaller villains a possible path out. Highly highly recommended.

If you enjoy Quick transmigration genre, this is one of the best ones.

MC here might remind some the protagonist of FOD. But their powers are different. MC of FOD had hacking skill, he is very OP himself, his system doesn't speak to him, but here system is the ML. MC himself has no hacking ability.

MC is very smart, calculative, scheming yet very humane. He likes to troll, very good at acting and pretending. I like that he thinks outside of the box. In many QT novels MC usually tries... more>> to make "boyfrieds" to fall in love with him. But here MC was just like, nope I want to make them suffer and hate me. Still manages to complete the task. I enjoy face slappings here. Some really good face slap and revenge, it's very satisfying.

Trigger warning: racism, domestic violence, animal abuse or s*icide might trigger some. Black readers were taken aback by some characters. It has vulgar words and curse. But those characters will meet their demise, MC will teach them good. Author realistically has raised issue about racism in this novel which is not usually expected from chinese authors. I have actually witnessed similar opinion or talk about black people from people in real life, it hits close to home.

Author could have done better when it comes to ML and his real identity. It was revealed to early and not subtle at all. Some plot twist would have been good. <<less

Even if QT may not be your be cup of tea, I feel like this deserves a chance. Lastly, I absolutely love our MC & ML, there literally made for each other. Plus, ML is NOT your typical yandere nor is he possessive, but he does occasionally drink his own vinegar in the beginning.

I'm gonna wait for the current arc to finish. Thank you for your hard work translating!

If you transmigrated to another world, will you follow the natural storyline to guarantee your own survival OR will you make decisions that don't overstep your moral bottom line while helping the host body?

After a chandelier broke and crashed onto him during his performance, Chi XiaoChi (MC) died and transmigrated to another world. There, he learned that he has to fulfill certain requirements to go back to his original world. Despite the difficulties of each world line, MC respects the wishes of the host body and even sets... more>> up the circumstances so that the host will have a bright future after the MC leaves their body to transmigrate to a different world.

***BEWARE SPOILERS***

What I Liked:

    • Chi XiaoChi is a loyal and gentle person who is very open-minded: True to his career as an actor, the MC respects the host and approaches the task by keeping in mind the opinions of the host. I think this personality of his makes it enjoyable to read because it never fails to bring the reader a surprise.
    • Lou Ying / 061 (ML) is a caring boyfriend/system: I think without 061 as the system, MC would have struggled a lot more before he could reach his goals. If Lou Ying was an inspiration (or even obsession) for the MC, then 061 is the MC's source of support, motivating and helping the MC in every way he can.
What I Disliked: The reasons why I deducted points...

    • The main plot (the MC x ML relationship thread with the Lord God / "Pig Brain" as the antagonist) is a bit cliche: Good always wins over evil vibes with no true "angst" factor
    • The author even made is blatantly obvious that 061 is MC's long-lost friend and crush/lover: I think that if the author waited for at least a third way through the novel to drop the hints, it would have made the reading more enjoyable. Indeed, I personally found that with the MC being so smart, it was really strange that it took him that long to figure out 061's true identity---even if MC is suspicious by nature. There are just too many coincidences that can't be overlooked even earlier on in the story.
    • ML as a system has way too much power: Although we, as the readers, really wanted the the MC and ML to meet, the fact that the ML was able to materialize early on made the story less believable. A system can help with coding and such but having a direct body is too much of a stretch. It makes the meeting more calculated on the author's end and makes the reading less enjoyable. If the ML was forced to view from the sidelines as a bystander until the last arc, we would have felt completely different emotions---perhaps with a tinge of sadness while happily rejoicing that the two "FINALLY" met.
    • The later arcs seemed to be rushed and there are a lot of loopholes...

WoW. What a great read. I feel like I'll read this story again because of how intriguing it is. It surely is a must read for any BL system lovers. With a lot of thought provoking moments where the MC chooses something out of the box the whole time, it's a story that moved me, truly.

It was a good read! Each world had their own plot which was quite interesting! Only patience is needed if think plot is common or repetitive! ʕ￫ᴥ￩ʔ MC was really shrewd, sly and damn intelligent! How he solved all the world with his wits and planning was really amazing! I love the characteristics of this kind of MC who can do things on his own, independent. The author strung my heartstrings like a used violin strings. The nostalgic feelings between MC and ML throughout every moments enough to make me sobs countless of time. If there's 10. Stars I would rate this work 10 stars regardless.

This is one of my favorite novel. MC and ML are so good together. The stories of other host makes my heart break thats why I totally love Chi Xiaochi for saving them. The plots are well written. The cps are adorable

When the story of MC and ML was revealed, I was so sad but im happy on how it ended.

Chi XiaoChi and Lou Ying went back to all those 10worlds to visit the host. It was so cute.

This novel was a much heavier read than I had expected.

I wasn't really expecting anything when I read this novel but it got me invested. It made me have an emotional breakdown that I still couldn't get over for a while now.

Each arc is very interesting and has it's own charm. I like the interactions between the characters.

I saw myself a lot in the main character so maybe that's why this novel affected me personally.
