It's a short fun read that while it loses points for being confusing, is still better thought out than 90% of the "Villainess" novels. I particularly liked the way the reverse harem is handled.

Memorable quote "They will have a large family some of the children may even be his"

Translator-san, you did your best and your effort made the story quite enjoyable...

But it's too fast paced, rather than reading about the experience or reading a story, it's more like the Heroine is retelling us her experience (for me at least)

Also, I didn't quite figure out the characters until chapter 4. It was confusing to read as there's no proper introduction for new characters. I am currently still confused who's calling her Julia-tan, what about her mom, etc.

If you want to enjoy the story just take it at face... more>> value, don't think. If you're confused just continue on!

  1. Edit: I was wrong, I didn't figure out the characters at all. It was getting messier by chapter. I can't keep up.

At first I was looking for completely translated novels and found this one. It's certainly a very short read but the story line is all over the place.

As someone else commented, the translator did a great job but the story was so bad in terms of execution. There was way too much going on in 22 chapters that could have been spread out and further developed in different arcs to make the overall story better. I didn't even remember this was supposed to be an otome novel theme until half... more>> way of the story which then just caused the story to be even more messy and all over the place.

In addition I think the "typical" aristocratic setting did nothing in this story for the characters as it made no difference in terms of how they acted, really more of a time period setting but didn't actually mean anything or help the story. &Amp; just made me not like the novel more because it just made me compare it to better stories using the same settings.

Honestly the beginning was OK/acceptable, but then once it hit around chapter 10+ it just got so bad messy.

I don't understand how people gave this a 5 star rating but if you want a quick read (1-3 hrs with procrastination) where you go "what is going on?????" it's pretty short and doable. You probably wouldn't read it again.

At some point though, I definitely started skimming because the plot development was so repetitive, annoying and again messy. <<less

Good points: Very interesting ending; it was mildly satisfying. Good concept.

Bad points: THE EXECUTION WAS TERRIBLE. It was so rushed and thrown together haphazardly I wanted to cry!! This could've been separated into several arcs of romance and intrigue. It could've been good. But it wasn't. It was so rushed and sudden, and names kept getting thrown at me without any indication as to why they're important to the story.

Anyhow, this story was so bad it made me want to give up writing.

This story is a mess. Kudos to the translator for making it readable. The starts are for them. Unfortunately, I don't have the energy and the will to read another chapter of this story even though I have only a few chapters left.

At first, I was interested in the story and I really want to know the ending. This is a short story so I thought it will be easy for me to finish it. Well, I thought wrong.

The first few chapters were fine then suddenly it was like a... more>> trainwreck. Confusing new information and development that is just too much. While reading those chapter my mind was like WTF?? Nani?? Seriously???

The plots are extremely confusing, it's hards to make sense of it. Chapter to chapter there are some irregularities and discontinuity with the storyline. For example, in one chapter they were talking about one thing then in the next chapter they were talking about a completely different thing. The story keeps getting messier by the chapter.

And the character! Oh god, the character. The MC was fine but except for the first few chapters, she doesn't really play an active role in the story (keep in mind I only read until ch16 - and it was unbearable). The heroine and her 'harem' on the other hand have zero IQ and no sense at all. They are just so unbelievably obtuse that I can feel my IQ decreasing while reading them. Their sheer s*upidity is just unbelievable. Unfortunately, other supporting characters are not much better, a few that were interesting doesn't have much screen time.

To sum it up, I do not recommend this story to anyone unless you want to kill a few brain cells. Those stars are for the translators for all theirs hard work in translating this story. <<less

I confess, I skipped to the final chapter after giving up midway. A s*upid ending that mistakenly believes itself to have emotional investment, fitting for a story with the quality of a 10 year old's first fanfiction. I usually leave more in depth reviews, but I think I've wasted enough time on a thing like this. My advice is not to bother. One star for the tortured translator, whom I honestly feel sorry for.

I am confused by this.

I don't know if the story itself was rushed, or while it was translated it was condensed. As you read, it feels like things are missing.

I stopped reading at ch.15.

It has potential, it's just so overwhelming.

It's like the story has ADHD.

I will not finish it. While I am mildly curious about how it ends. It is nowhere near enough to actually read it.

This was by far the most confusing novel I read, and no it's not because of the translator.. I actually gave this an made this two stars for the translator's effort...

The start was fine and bearable, but then it suddenly got confusing with an overload of information about certain matter, then it became more confusing with the flashbacks...

What annoyed me was not only the ending which was not like an ending but also the heroine (not the MC) when she was made as a person with zero IQ with no... more>> situational awareness at all which also includes her entourage of the characters she captured... there's also the...

Spoiler

2nd heroine which annoyed me as hell as she's delusional and has zero IQ... Especially when she starts spouting nonsense like the MC must act the way she did in the game (like who do you think you are!?)...

[collapse]

I understand the MC's problem at the end but!!! Author don't end it like that it feels like a cliffhanger! <<less

It started decent, with a villainess and then surviving on "her own", some flaws in logic but understandable at first.

Then the story goes down a rabbit hole that makes everyone other then the MC and a couple individuals (her father, cousin, the king's brother and mother, possibly one member of the reverse harem who still screwed up majorly) are complete idiots (note the king is not on the non-idiot list this list due to the later revelations and Original games timeline).

The CP breaks off his engagement with the MC for... more>> an actual sl*t (she is sleeping with all her reverse harem, and pregnant by one of them when the MC meets her again), and her brother a part of the idiot harem kicks her out of the house. Due to an injury at her condemnation event the MC passed out for 3 days and regained memories of her past life and realizes she is the villainess of a Otome game, only to be booted by her brother as soon as she woke up (her father was out of the country, idiot-bro's plan is to say she ran away. Though the Father is not his actual father and only married idiot-bro's mother so the MC could have a maternal figure after her mother died, if the MC is gone, there is no need to keep him or his mother around, idiot-bro seems to not be aware of this, but his mother definitely was).

In the original timeline of the games villainess ended up being sold to a brothel, in this she gets taken to a women's shelter, and avoids the worse effects, eventually reuniting with her father.

Her father takes her to a coming of age ceremony, where the idiot prince and his entourage make a scene and try to get rid of her, then the plot twists start which make the story crap.

Spoiler

MC is super important to the country, and its survival. This can not be understated. So important that her fate in the original game should never have been allowed to happen.

  • Her mother was a foreign princess, from the 1 nation that knows and can expose their greatest secret, and was engaged to the CP because of this international relation.
  • Her mother's nation does care about her wellbeing, considers her one of their princesses, and is adamant she be the next Queen of the nation of the story.
  • The secret is one of the few things preventing foreign invasion, if exposed they stand to lose almost all their territory.
  • the only port the nation hold, which is key to their current level of prosperity, is the Mc's. It was temporarily transferred to the nation from her mothers as part of the mother's dowry, and the Mc's children are supposed to decide if it stays or returns. Her mother's nation is willing to demand it back if she is not treated properly.

Seriously, the nation will die if she is abused, and in the original game the king did not turn the city upside down looking for her. That and there were people dumb enough to try and sell an obvious member of the nobility to a brothel, and a brothel dumb enough to buy and ens*ave a nobel...

[collapse]

With all the twists, it becomes a case where the issues where the king has no excuse for letting things slide for a year until the coming of age ceremony (with the MC losing a year of her education) and everything should have been resolved by the time MC woke up from her injury. At the latest there should have been a royal summons to have her brought before the King as soon as she woke up. But really the Prince should have been stripped of his rights to the throne before she woke up.

Seriously, we even find out the King had given his idiot son instructions, and the son had basically done the exact opposite of those instructions to try and be with his who*e GF, but the King did not strip him of his CP title for a F-ing year???? <<less

This is something that has been written and is meant for 2 year olds.

There's no plot.

The story writing is miserably lacking. I lost a few brain cells thanks to this.

There is no character development or anything... It makes no sense.

I'd read this to a 3 year old... but anyone older or those who have read isekai previously or just anyone who likes to read would cringe so bad.

This is the first time I've written a review and I hate how it's for this series.

The story starts off as the typical "villainess gets accused and exiled, ML comes to support", honestly it starts off great! But the story just has a very unsatisfying and weird ending. The author crams a bunch of information in the last couple of chapters all to build up the "final decision" of the villainess.

I do not recommend this series to anyone who enjoys reading the typical MC Otome game reincarnation plot, you're much... more>> better off not reading this. <<less

The dynamic of story is just so slow and confusing. I though it was messy but then you will find it went down hill, get messier and messier. It just too confuse with load of information which dont have any particular reason to appear. I mean it is full of unnecessary information and I just asked WTF all the way out. The MC isnt likable and the villian is just s*upid bit*h without a brian. The ending too is confuse. You must stop reading when it reach chapter 15.

At first the story is amazing. It had room for a lot of good drama and romance. But that wasn't the way the authur did it. They just added egg, cheese, letuce, meat, brocoli & many more things to the milkshake.

First, she was a reincarnator, or something.

2. The Heroine of the book was messed up.

... more>> 3. The smut w/ no smut that was the reverse harem of the Heroine mentioned on #2.

4. Then some men saying they are sorry.

5. Then she becomes OP

6. The sequel of that novel's Heroine being a b**ch

7. Her minding the story too much.

8. The ending wasn't an ending

Overall at first I though all other reviews are wrong but, I agree they are all correct. This story is more of a writter brainstorming for ideas than a story. It's a huge waste. The start was great. <<less

This is a roller coaster of confusion, weird but completed translation... and endearing but frustrating moments.

The plot reveal that is heavily shoved into so few chapters... I forgave! Because, in all honesty, finding a fully translated villianess novel is always a bonus - even if they had to make it compact.

The world changing, but not changing, and the confusion around reincarnation memories and forced story behavior I forgave - because why not?

... more>> It's better than some, and far worse than others.

I will tell you now, the only disappointment I can't forgive is the last sentence. <<less

Not only is confusing between all that plot twist and sudden flashback, the MC is boring. The "harem" is an idiotic one, the 'heroines' are insufferable, and suddenly the MC try to justify her stepbrother... It's like the author wanted to use all the plots for an isekai, and then fails in the practice. Very disappointing

At first it was progressing nicely then it slowly turned confusing. I am not great in English but I can say the translation was poor as you can't even understand them sometimes.

Going with the plot only,

Spoiler

so basically there's three people from the modern world including our MC. It justified the bad rumors of MC, and shows why exactly she is a key figure in the country. It's actually your nice generic summary and worth the read for only few chapters if only they write or tl it good.

It feels like you need to turn off your brain and thinking comprehension to even comprehend all chapters.

Main bits to understand, this was authored by a American person into Japanese, which was then translated back into English. Likely level of にほんご understanding for this author is N5 or N4. The translator was pretty much working the best with what they could, so yeah, kudos to them. Probably would’ve been best if the author stuck to keeping the book in English, then paying someone to translate it into Japanese.

Would I recommend... more>> this?
No, however I would recommend this as something not to do. If confusion spells were a reality, then this would be the most self-sabotage confusion spell to read. <<less
