The author glosses over the whole "reincarnation" and "game element" thing. In the first few chapters, BANG! Guess what? Riku is actually someone that reincarnated with a "previous life's soul" attached. She's not "real". I actually found this intriguing. Then, the author immediately glosses over this aspect by having her offer the soul up.
It's never made clear what the details are; the whole "galge" vibe isn't cleared up when it comes to Rook either. You just kind of... Accept it that Rook is "omniscient"... At least when it comes to girls. That doesn't stop all of them from dying, though.
Of course, any character that seems close to Rook, and is female, is probably going to die. Quite possibly brutally.
Chapter 47 hit me really hard, not because it is sorrowful chapter, but because it kinda show us a glimpse of a series of bad end that will happen for everyone specially Riku in the future. And this bad ends are all Rooks fault.
F*ck Rook.
