Sorry to disappoint, I won't write a long review about how much I liked or disliked this novel. I'm only here to bring justice to the translation. Yup. I read a lot of reviews before starting this novel, and here I thought this novel would be perfectly translated without a translator switching randomly between past and present tense, with a translator who knows how English grammar works. Who knew people's translation standards were so low. It's not even close to being perfectly translated. The story in itself isn't bad, but... more>> sadly, the translation doesn't match up to the story <<less

omg, I'm on chapter 23. So sad, she will die with him if he don't wake up. I'm looking forward to a new arc now since she got rid of the female lead. I love this kind of the story the most. The translator did a great job. I especially look forward to the love quote list on top of chapter by the ML and MC.

So, this novel starts off as your typical QT novel. It's rather simple and fast-paced. The ML and the MC enter a relationship super quickly and continue to fall in love at first sight throughout multiple worlds. They're super lovey-dovey and overpowered. This type of novel is not for everyone; I know a lot of people prefer novels with more plot lol... I honestly enjoy these types of novels for their brainless fluff, and I know it's also a lot of people's guilty pleasure. This face-slapping-while-spreading-PDA plot goes on smoothly... more>> until arc 11 (chapters 269-302). This is when the main character does something unredeemable that ruins my image of her and of the author completely.

Spoiler

At the end of the arc, the original female lead tries to brainlessly hurt Xunmi. The ML protects her and gets injured instead. He gets a concussion and a slightly injured spine. Xunmi knows that this is the extent of his injuries and that he will recover extremely quickly due to some OP golden finger he got in arc 1. Xunmi is angry, rightfully so, but what she does next is absolutely unreasonable. [For a bit of context, in this world, Xunmi plays a girl who is beloved by her adoptive family. The female lead is the true daughter who got accidentally switched at birth. At this point in the story, all characters know of this relationship.] Xunmi takes the female lead and tortures her; already going overboard for a concussion, but I could skim past this just fine. Then, she hands off the female lead to be rxped. ??? She sends the female lead off to be a sort of "s*x doll" or whatever for the ML's military subordinates, and the readers get to see how she feels: that the female lead deserved this. What??? The female lead was obviously s*upid - she deludedly believed that the ML belonged to herself, she tries to get the MC kicked out of the family, etc. - but this is going too far. Xunmi does this to her all because her hubby got slightly injured. Later, they even drive her insane... and when she's finished, Xunmi decides to send the female lead back to her family. When the biological mother, who used to treasure Xunmi, essentially disowns her, Xunmi is saddened and aggrieved???? I just cannot understand why the author thought this was a good idea. I see rxpe and sxxual assault as an overused plot point all the time in C-novels, but they usually skip over it and don't try to justify it, so while it's uncomfortable and annoying, it's not intolerable. This is.

[collapse]

Anyway, the novel gets dropped by the translator presumably for this reason. I also do not plan on reading MTLs to finish the novel because Xunmi's character has become completely cruel and unreasonable. Even the earlier arcs that I enjoyed very simply have been ruined by this. I honestly don't know if I can ever even reread arcs 1-10 without feeling uncomfortable. <<less

First of all,

Don't just jump into conclusion by reading the first chapters. I mean c'mon guys there are thousands of episodes and you review a novel just by reading the starting chapters? Like literally, wanting everything to seem real when you're reading a fiction?

There is a reason for everything. Backstory is unknown for you. And it gets hinted from some apocalypse acr (I think? It's just it's been long since I have read that)

The MLs love for our FL is so strong that their souls are bound... more>> with a string called love. And ofcourse he falls in love at first sight! I don't see anything wrong with that especially when we see love at first sight in many novels. Atleast it gets justified that his soul craves her.

And our FL is strong and doesn't sit while ML fights for her. She makes herself worthy of himand his love. She's OP but you can't just hate her for that.

The arcs are pretty much interesting and the plot is explained perfectly. Neither heavily nor lightly.

The interactions between the ML and FL are cute and they always feed dog food to those around. Ofcourse I too love eating their dog food lol.

Okay. I'm not gonna spoil. So you can just go on read it.

And finally,

Don't criticize the hard work of the author just because you are dissatisfied at the beginning. Seriously guys I just saw many negative reviews and I was pissed. It's a good novel that it always made me grin from ear to ear. Reading those comments made me write this review.

those negative reviews after starting chapters........ Guys seriously? It's like cinema critics writing a review just after watching till interval.

So what I'm saying is.......... don't blindly follow comments. Just give the novel a try and see if it's your cup of coffee. If not, just kindly drop it. Author doesn't need your negative criticism for the hard work.

Translator does a great job.

Keep it up translator-sama <<less

First of all, the translator really did a wonderful job with this one. I usually don't write reviews and I know this doesn't really give my review the end all say all but I just feel that it was a pity. Although I haven't read far into the book, the beginning bothers me and I ended up dropping this for the time being.

The book has a really interesting premise. It's rare to see one loyal male lead throughout all the worlds that the female lead (FL) goes too. Call me... more>> cheesy but I really love the 1v1 pure types of couples. It was cute that the male lead (ML) would follow the FL so far, as the synopsis says just like a loyal puppy lol. I started it and I loved it at first, the chapters aren't too short or too long and leaves you asking for more. The quotes by the leads at the beginning of each chapter are so cute, I love them so much. However, as the story progresses I started noticing a few things odd. There is some background of the FL and the world she is in presented but sometimes the story would just develop random points that were never really elaborated on. For example:

Spoiler

I was confused by the fact that the system embodied a physical form as a little fur ball. It's cute but I always just thought the system was in her head from the description but all of a sudden it's a cute furball.

I was also confused that she has so much at her disposal at 18 years old and her father didn't even know anything about it at all.

Also the part where she says that she goes to school suddenly made me do a double take.

[collapse]

I sometimes felt if I missed something when a point is mentioned and I didn't know where it suddenly cam from

The background isn't very developed. I understand that she goes through many world's and you can't possibly go into detail of each one but it's a little too focused on the leads that the side characters are a little invisible. The antagonists' IQ seem nonexistent considering that one is a fake white lotus who has managed to succesfulky act for 18 years so you'd expect her to be a little smarter, and the other is the head of an extremely influential family in high society and manages a successful company. The powerful young masters of the 3 main families are introduced a few times but forgettable. Many background characters that disappear overtime.

The romance has little to no process. The ML falls in love at first sight, which is understandable and really cute at first. But from then on it kicks off fast, too fast really.
Spoiler

He confesses straight up, it was cute but he came off a little strong. He wants to protect her, OK reasonable. Makes out with her on their second meeting... and the female lead just obediently accepts it and shows little resistance because he is handsome, cute, domineering, and is the ML.... She doesn't even show a little discomfort with making out with a ML she's only met for a day or two and they're dating. The dating part isn't so bad but the kiss scene just irks me a bit.

[collapse]

I loved the female lead at first, and I still do tbh. She's a confident and independent woman. She's capable and quick to act. She's elegant and gorgeous. However, the one thing that made me a little reluctant was her casual and extremely quick acceptance of the ML. I mean sure, he's the regular OP hunk of a ML that's infatuated with her, who would say no? But it just seems a little unnatural considering her cautiousness and personality. To like him just after their second meeting is unnatural. I feel like it would be more natural if it was something like she uses or collaborates with him and they start to develop feelings for each other.

The ML is supposed to be cold and domineering, but I don't see the coldness at all. Of course you'd expect him to be cute and dote on his lover but his change is so abrupt and seemingly forced that it seems out of character. Sure he falls for her but I sort of expected him to spend a little more time until he can completely melt the ice and open himself completely to her. I guess in this case he really is a loyal puppy. He comes off very strong in his affections that would normally make a headstrong woman like the FL to say 'wah can you back off a bit' but she and everyone else just goes with it.

I really loved it at first. I laughed at the cute system and fangirled over the adorable male lead. Which is why it's such a pity that the background and characters and such are so underdeveloped. I wouldn't recommend this but if you're looking for a light read that you don't have to think about a lot and just focuses on face slapping, this is pretty okay among the other ones.

I dropped this for now but I might return when there are more chapters. For the time being I'm going to shelve this for the future.

Sorry for the long review, here's a ♡ for compensation. I hoped this helped. <<less

It's alright. As of now it's a bit too lovey dovey considering theyve only known each other for.. barely a month and the both are supposed to be quite ibdependent/aloof people? It's quite boring to read the interactions because sometimes it just drags on lol... I can't get invested in the pairing yet because I don't see a reason why they should love each other that much? #cantrelate

Mostly I think, can we get back to the story/faceslapping please? Since the plot is quite interesting.

The translation/update schedule is really good/consistent though,... more>> which is always great. <<less

female lead is annoying af.

I felt no emotion while reading this, wait I did... Annoyance.

The villains have no backstory, no emotion, no reasons for committing their crimes, only shitty power of plot, they exist for them to be beaten by MC.

... more>> All actions are forced, literally the whole world was built for MC.

Whoever likes this tr*sh...I wont judge, but I seriously don’t recommend this at all. Not even to my worst enemy.

every male character falls in love with MC,

MC uses disgusting, underhanded, ugly, inhumane schemes, but the author makes the villain’s even more disgusting, so the mc’s schemes and actions will seem cute in contrast.

This is seriously shitty.

There were 5 lengthy paragraphs spent on describing the MC’s beauty, intelligence, and wealth.

Very flat and super annoying.

The Male lead is a rapist, s*x offender, animal, mansl*t when he sees the MC but, when he sees other girls he suddenly turns into a virg*n loser monk. incomprehensible! <<less

I wouldn't call it bad just... boring? The ML fell head first in love with her and the MC followed. There isn't any build up or anticipation on the love aspect. It's essentially like QWTFOD: the MC feels/is OP, the ML is deeply in love and I'm sitting there, making bets with myself on the chapter they decide to come together. Except it's BG, the system is cuter, and the novel is way worse on the "IDK why but I adore you part" to the point that it's almost comical.... more>> At best I'll give this a 2.5/5, but rn it's 2/5 <<less

How to say this...? Politely...
Well, I read this without any high hope for this story. It's OK to be just another light reading.

But I can't stomach the MC.

Character: ⭐️

Intelligent: ⭐️⭐️

Writing: ⭐️⭐️

Spoiler

I think that I can read this long is because of its face slapping moment. But... The author give MC a Mary Sue Halo that so heavy and there you are not using any of your skills and let ML do everything??

OK, first to say, I have no complain about Mary Sue type MC. Honestly if you write it good enough that it will be entertaining story. But this story writing style is so bad (the translator is OK enough btw, it's a silver lining), the author write MC just like a pretty vase that only can have ML? Or, uh, I misunderstand something??. C'mon you say that you're successful business woman and you don't even have interpersonal skill that good enough to slap villain with your own hand?

I'll add one star or more if the author write that MC is a spoilt girl and then transmigrated and then continue spoilt by ML rather than OOC your own character by saying that she is a successful business young woman. She doesn't look like someone that come from turbulent of business world. The problem is the author OOC-ed her own character.

[collapse]

-------

The fluff... is slightly better?

Spoiler

Well, I hope that they not so fast to fall in love, especially first arc... it makes the author seems to write something OOC for their own characters (again) ?

Fall in lust at first sight, feel connection, feel interest at first sight... yes, it makes sense, even fall in crush and adore someone. But love that deep? Nuh. It takes time and for a story that have 1880 chapters it's too quick... Especially for MC & ML with that kind of temperament... (I'm not a huge believer on first sight love, but certain stories have good writing to back this up. And this story? Hehe)

But the fluff after arc 1? If you ignore how fast they fall then yes, it's enjoyable enough. It's corny, it's chessy but still good enough. They're portrait as power couple and sharing dog food everywhere. It's sweet in their own way.

[collapse]

-------

Another note for the IQ of this story:

Spoiler

Don't have any hope for high intelligent MC, even if she is portrayed as so, it's not a real intelligent when you lower another character's IQ under normal human standard to elevate MC's. To be fair, MC is not dumb, she is just average and I personally prefer that the author not write more that she can chew by highlight MC's IQ at every moment in the way that she think 'very intelligent' but somehow lower another people.

[collapse]

-------

Here is personal review for this story. If you come for fluff mindless light reading (I swear, sometimes we need story like this) then this is a story for you. What make me stop is the MC & ML character that isn't appealing + the writing that OOC-ed + bad writing (The storylines seems like jumping around... and just... basically bad)

If you hope for more, then start clicking another story. <<less

It´s unrealistic drivel, but FUN and VARIED unrealistic drivel, its actually nice to have a established couple without s*upid over dragged misunderstandings, yes it was love at first sight but at least it was treated as such in the story, unlike so many others that use artificial/superficial reasons and claim its true love and totally not love/lust at first sight. I have no problem with her looking for the ML priority, she can actually die if she fail the mission several worlds in a row its a sensible survival strategy... more>> plus she loves him and is her only constant companion in her life, besides the system.

I love also that not all females besides the MC are scum, she even has good relations with world females leads once in a while.

The settings are varied plus the right enough length at least for me. Sometimes there surprising twists in the worlds like
Spoiler

when she suddenly got the message that the mission failed, because a third party killed her target and she had to go to a penalty world

It´s like a bag a chips, no nutritional value but I still devoured and enjoyed. <<less

It’s a great read. I like the OPness of the MC and ML. Lots of face slapping too. The ML is always the cheat of the MC since the ML is always someone powerful and and on top of the food chain.

However, it can feel quite repetitive since the pattern is always the same. I cant even imagine reading 70+ arcs. I’ll give it props to the author though for progressingly making it difficult for the MC. In the start, she would pop up before the real action begins, but... more>> now, she’s been popping up in the midst of the plot so it’s interesting how she fixes up everything. And I've noticed that the “villain” becomes increasingly hard to handle.

Spoiler

Personally, I loved the vampire arc. She didnt know the entire plot beforehand and the original FL is also nice as compred to previous arcs where the original FL becomes the villain. I also like the cultivation arc for the same reason.

[collapse]

However, no matter how interesting it is, 70+ arcs? Really? Lol. Im surprised how the author never ran out of ideas for every arc.

It’s good though that the translation releases almost every day, if not everyday. So I usually just wait until the whole arc finisjes before I read it again. <<less

I read all of the translated chapters and switched to reading the raws. How do I describe this novel? Initially, not very good. In the first story, the romance between the MCs was a matter of seconds, the villains were so 2d they were basically 1d (and defeated SO easily it almost wasn't worth the time you spent reading the backstory), and the entire world was just blah. The quality jumped with the 2nd story, however. Don't get me wrong, it still wasn't that good -a 4/10 at best- but... more>> coming from a 1.5/10, it was quite the improvement. At the end of those first 2 arcs, I would describe it as slightly better than Side Character Transmigrations, ie not bad enough for me to drop it altogether, even though I had to force myself to continue a bit.

The more you read, the better the story seems to get. Most of the arcs are quite enjoyable and you get to see the underlying thread linking all of the different worlds together so that adds a bit of interest to the plot. Unfortunately, there are a LOT of them (I think I'm on arc 23 now?) so it's hard to maintain a high level of interest throughout. If I were to describe it, this is the kind of story where I could happily read one arc a week and spend the rest of my time reading more interesting stories. The kind of story you'd read on a nice, sunny Sunday afternoon with a glass of iced tea lol. <<less

Looking at the reviews above me I'm sure a lot of you have figured out that this is a story you are gonna hate if you came for the romance. The romance is just too illogical to even think about and so I just forgot about it. However if what you are here for is face slapping, revenge and different adventures in different lives this is a pretty good story. So to prevent any of you who might get dissatisfied with the story after reading it with hopes on romance,... more>> I thought it should be prudent to warn you. I dont know if the romance aspect gets better but for now its subpar at best. So keep that in mind while reading this story. This is pretty heavy on the romance, sometimes a little too heavy. But it's a fun read and I like how she faces different difficulties each arc, the MC is pretty strong, the systems pretty cute in a dumb kind of way, plus the reason ML follows her is explained pretty early. I feel pretty bad for these second female leads, they're pretty much stepping stones for the FL.

Now that the instant romance is out of the way I wonder if it'll be less focused on going forward.

This is a BG QT novel. I don't have many of them in my reading list, only 5 in total (which are almost all dropped by translators, so I can't finish them) and this one is one of them.

Our FL is Xun Mi, an orphan who worked her way to become a successful businesswoman, if I recall correctly? Anyway, very surprisingly, our dear FL died by falling into a sewer and became Host #250 who was bound to the "Second Female Lead's Counterattack System", namely Baobao. ... more>>
Spoiler

Plot twist: Baobao was the one to remove the cover of the manhole, so FL fell in...

[collapse]

Her task was to enter different worlds and collect 10 Million points in order to return to the original world.

As it seems to be quite usual for BG QT novel (at least from what I've seen so far), this QT novel has over 1000.... okay, it has almost 2000 chapters in total.

Xun Mi has to take over the bodies of the second female leads in each world, or to be more accurate, they are cannon fodders. Original has a fiance/good background/etc etc, heroine walks by, takes the fiance/good background/etc etc for herself and the original ends up in a tragedy.

So logically, FL has to take charge, fullfill the last wish of the original and face-slap the "heroine" (+ scum protagonist) twice around the face of earth while flirting with her husband the rest of the time. This is the whole novel summed up. Say it easier: FL spreads dog food with her husband. If you don't like this trope, better don't touch this novel.

I have to say, I like Xun Mi quite a bit. She's not a helpless moron who can only cry, but she also doesn't really have that many opportunities to show her power, because her overprotective husband deals with anyone and anything who opposes her even slightly.

Our ML follows his wife from world to world and as expected of a proper ML, he is always a hidden or not hidden Endboss. Powerful, handsome, cold (as long as he's not talking to FL). Aside from that, there's not much known about him.

The villains, (or based on the original plot the heroine and her protagonist) are in each world,... how to say it? Kind of braindead. The IQ of both together adds up to about 50 at most. At least from the moment the FL enters the world. The original plot sounds quite normal, but after meeting the heroine, I'm always wondering, if she always was that s*upid, how exactly did she even manage to become the "heroine" in the first place? Just because of the "main lead halo"? Hmm. Well, for some people, this could be quite disappointing because all we're able to se is them jumping around in front of FL and ML, while trying to deal with FL, only to get face-slapped repeatedly until they are utterly defeated by the end of the arc.

The system. Baobao. Based on description this guy (yes, Baobao is male) seems to be a white fluffy creature. Or at least in front of FL has such an appearance, as other people can't see it. *sighs* You know, I don't like those "active" systems (those who are able to interact and speak). Baobao is supposed to be (and constantly trying to act) cute, in all kinds of ways. It's obsessed with levelling up and becoming more powerful. But its IQ is even lower than that of the villains. Sometimes its IQ directly drops to -20 at the beginning of the arc and remains there without moving for the rest of the arc. The only thing it is useful for (in my opinion) is giving the plot and reporting the progress of FL after each arc. Everything else.... okay, nevermind me, I just don't like systems who talk. I prefer the silent systems. And Baobao is NOT cute. But annoying. I still don't like it xD

The novel itself is okay. I like it. Obviously, otherwise I wouldn't sit here, waiting for a cute translator to pick this thing up, so I can read more arcs xD

But I have to say, author-sama messed up with the first arc. I mean, think about it.
Spoiler

FL dies, gets bound to the system and receives her informations and is then sent to the first world. She appears, timeskip to the next day (?) when she goes to her coming-of-age banquet where she has to face the "heroine" and her brainless moron of a father. First clash. ML appears as the knight in shining armor, sees FL, falls in love and instantly becomes overprotective of his wife. Fade to black, next day FL goes to the company which she's taking over as the mayor shareholder without any pressure whatsoever, while being supported by ML in the background. ML and FL get together. Flirting, kissing, another clash with the heroine, Faceslapping, faceslapping, flirting, kiss, confused. jpg, "heroine" makes trouble, ML gets injured while protecting FL and wents into a coma for over a month. Baobao gives him dragon breath to wake him up and only afterwards notices that ML fused with that dragon breath, thus being able to follow FL to the next worlds etc. FL guards ML, ML wakes up, deals with the heroine, marries FL. Happy End, end of arc 1.

[collapse]

I think, author-sama wanted to create an explanation on why FL and ML always meet so fast and instantly fall in love. Thinking about it, it's almost comparable to "He's super sticky", just a bit less sticky. But author-sama should have tried to use another method. The first arc sounds like the work of a young girl who wants to write a lovestory but doesn't have any experience doing so. (Hey, I'm not bullying, just expressing my opinion, I don't mean any harm!) That's why, if you read the first arc, you maybe think it's pure tr*sh and drop the novel. But if you ignore the first arc, I really find this novel very entertaining. You don't need to think while reading, just drift along as FL meets her husband, gets pampered and watch the heroine and protagonist getting faceslapped to the point their heads turn into revolving doors. There's no third person, the couple is always sweet, there's no drama between them and it's overall just a pile of dogfood mixed with some plot.

I really hope someone will pick this novel up one day, so I'll be able to read the rest as well. But for now, I have to wait and read the first 12 arcs time and time again. <<less

But.....

Arc 1:

... more>> Developments of the feelings between MC and ML was a bit rushed.

Even the storyline was rushed. A clear description about the turn of events (such as fall of MC's Dad and her counterattacks) was not given. We were told that the MC was a powerful businesswomen in her Main World, But how did she rise again in the first world? What measures or steps she took ? We can see that she is a capable women but where are her abilities??

There are also Many positive thing Like:

How the ML protects MC, his feelings, Love at First Sight.

One thing I can say that the separation moments and the feeling of being abandoned were well written

Apart from dignifying her Aura If Only more focus was given to small details... <<less

I actually liked this the first time I read this (when I was much younger) and I reread it now only because I planned to mtl it until the end. However I've found a few things:

    1. It's so f*cking cheesy
    2. Ridiculously unrealistically In love at first sight.
    3. ML is disgustingly possessive and whineslike a bit*h once MC is a few seconds away from him and threatens every single person who interacts with her and tells her to cut them off
    4. MC lets ML threaten them on the basis of 'He loves me, I love him".
    5. ML and MC are unrealistically OP.
I managed to hold onto a few arcs but

dropped. 2/5

I enjoyed the story overall, but the writing is very immature in the beginning and there are definitely better QT novels out there.
