For what I think for the characters is that both MC and ML is at fault. Here's why. MC is quite known to be very decisive however he is very soft hearted. Due to his love he is very dedicated to his one and only but here's the thing. ML has been cheating and MC knows it. But MC can't bring it to himself to point it out. It is probably due to the ML personality that he can't bring himself to admit fault. But due to this MC chose to suffer many years until he became increadably sick that he realized how s*upid it is. He realize it too late at this point. ML well he is pretty selfish. So selfish that everything he did wrong to MC got karma really bad. It is actually implied that he got pretty deep in the dark side of business and that probably contributed to his ego. Although he got his retribution I don't feel the satisfaction for what he is become because it is depressing.

It is purely abuse reader kind of novel, the questionable love that He Zhishu had for Scum Jiang is kind of painful to look at, I don't think Zhishiu still LOVE scum jiang since the first chapter, he just addicted to the past and can't move on for the better then BAMM cancer happened so it's time to let go to endure the pain of body after years of endure the pain in the heart?

The funny part is that Zhishu claimed that he himself is so sensitive that can not stand the pain but look at how his body become so super weak but he still can endure the pain of having non-consent s*x with scum?

The 2nd male lead is even funnier, why the frick he fall in love with the patient if MC is a woman then he will definitely have legally married status but Ziyu despite everything daring to confess and kiss Zhishu, just, why are you like this, where is the moral code you make doctor look bad

I was crying when reading to around 20 chapter then I realized why did I have to feel sad for those who didn't even love themselves then I just binged read to see how far the self-pity party gonna end ?

I love him so bad even though he's the scum and treat me like a dead fish

I love you so bad that I r*pe you and slap you so hard

I love you even when you're in relationship and dying when we first met

Wenxu is really a scum. Not only he r*ped Zhishu but also cheated on him for years, with different people even.

Dasurve. (Means he deserve what he feels now, the pain, the suffering...)

Zhishu disappointed many people, including me.

The ironic thing is, Wenxu is the only person he didn't disappoint.

Zhishu's so brilliant but he gave that up. I don't know if he's in his right mind at that time but if he's my friend, I already slap him to wake him up.

I quite agree on Secretary Song's view.

Even if Zhishu is gay, he's still a man. He's making him useless.

He's Wenxu's mistress (Is that the right term??) for two years and the most recent one.

He loved Wenxu to the point that when he knew Wenxu is in love with someone else he still continued being the side chick. He even begged Wenxu not to throw him away, even at the cost of being a mistress.

Unfortunately, he died unexpectedly.
