Loving the fact that this series has been picked up again, obviously there is only a few chapters done however it has already provided a solid world build, power system and has some decently understandable decisions. Not sure about the combat as only a little has been built onto that, also there hasnt been any instant powerups allowing for the MC to defeat his bully 'enemy' in this case, instead providing a gradual build-up of strength and world building with not too much or too little.

The stories pretty tight because we know the MC isnt the strongest thing in existence and that there are stronger things that could easily kill him.

The MC is reasonable. Most people are probably thinking "NO, HES AN IDIOT THAT RAN INTO A DUNGEON ALONE!!" what do you expect him to when he runs in there with a team and he starts firing mana bolts left and right but he's not feeling tired from mana exhaustion. The biggest way a strong person hiding their ability gets caught is that they don't... more>> get tired easily or they're acting is extremely horrible.

People complain about the MC getting money in the beginning and not spending it on his mother but he spends it on spells. First off, how are you gonna spend money on a dead person? You have to get stronger in order to actually give something to someone and the government won't be suspicious on why a single mom, in debt to loan sharks, could possibly buy a house in a good neighborhood and get rid of her debt.

IF YOU GET CAUGHT YOU DIE, THAT IS THE LAW OF THE JUNGLE! <<less

Not a bad idea and the powers are cool. To bad the MC is completely unrealistic and a moron. His entire motivation in life is to pay off his mother’s debt and protect her. He gains power, he gets like 10x the amount of money he would need to pay off the debt. And then he goes and buys another skill instead of paying off the debt and letting his mother retire and be safe.

Novel of KR but author from Indonesia. Superb imagination and skills on game setting. But lack of consistent and rational action from the MC and other side characters.

I like korean hunter-dungeon storylines so I managed to force myself to read some of this.

MC is bad at the beginning and he doesn't get any better in the long run.

The storyline gets little better but by the time chapter 100 arrives, that storyline is pretty much done and MC is already godlike strong with infinite stats, and no other human could match him.

His other motivation which was earning money was also thrown out of the window since by this point MC has too much money. It's quite depressing however... more>> that MC spent so much time woring about money and complying about being poor, but now that he became rich, rather than spending this money, he just buys himself a house and donate everything else (which is pretty much more than his nation has) to charity.

No biggie, he is capable of earning endless money anyway.

Still the series became so pointless that MC runs dungeons only to fight the boredom.

The series was never really planned well but it had MC growing stronger and earning money and the villain group that needed to be defeated as it's main storyline.... which was decent storyline for the novel like this. However both those objectives were fulfilled by chapter 100 so the series really just should've ended here.

However in order to milk this series further, author decided to start introducing some random alien threat that naturally had zero foreshadowing till now. Sigh... considering how MC has basically infinite stats at this point, it's doubtful this alien threat is really a threat but hey, the series goes can still be milked. It's not like MC ever truly faced a challenge. <<less

I guess average?
Though there is less consistency than the average novel out there. The author randomly uses high numbers and lowers them in the next chapter, plot-driven events happen due to numbers suddenly changing from high to low and vice versa.

Nothing special happening here, though the only thing I kinda hate is the fact that considering the importance of earning money for the Protagonist (In order to do stuff), multiple zeros often get added and subtracted randomly.

Spoiler

"Long" for the author consists of a single day of doing something.
A thing is expensive if it is 3.75% of a week's worth of money.

[collapse]

A proof for the spoiler above:
Spoiler

The author mentions that if the MC can continue this thing, he can earn about 800 million money things. A decent and pretty strong skill book is priced at about 30 million money things.
Author logic: Too expensive... wait for skill books to drop.

[collapse]

Inconsistency proof:
Spoiler

40 Million Won is roughly 30k euro or 33k USD, debt that is realistic and that the father could borrow. Any more than that might be a little bit far fetched if not for some kind of business loan. MC says he cares about his mother, doesn't pay off the debt with one of his amazing runs. But don't worry, apparently the debt is bigger than you thought. It's in the google million so that the MC can't power himself up cause he has to save money.

[collapse]

At the end:
Story with an amazing idea. If not for the Inconsistent numbers and through the event forcing of this random number generator it might actually be an enjoyable story. <<less

Very good, even if the MC's character can be a little annoying. Furthermore, there is a lot of things that he could do but he just doesn't think about it so he more or less waste his power :-s

And the author actually has a problem with number (it's difficult to remember the exact number you used tens of chapters ago but here he doesn't even remember what he said the previous chapter if not at the start of the chapter.....)

... more>> c102.2

Only 3 stars left, the mind of the MC wasn't really great but for someone who is OP it was satisfaying.... Until now.... The MC became dumb and lazy :'- ( <<less

And to know about the rest?

Well...... Please read the novel!

A cool solo-experience; the MC is absolutely OP and knows when to be dark and when not. Still the author misses a lot of interpersonal interactions and so I cant give it 5*.

It's a good story set in an interesting world, with relatively short chapters and a wonderful translator who consistently releases one chapter a week...

Honestly, I wish I had left it in my "Wait until completely translated" list, because with 141 chapters left as of November 13, 2018, the weekly release rate means the translation will be finished the end of July 2021, assuming no holidays, breaks, disappearances, or drops.

I do like the story though. I need to try reading it monthly or something, so I'm not always left hanging right... more>> as things get interesting.

April 2, 2022 edit: Only 20 chapters to go, with a release rate of a batch of two every month! March 2023 here we go! <<less

interesting enough.

he certainly isn't the worst Korean MC I've read, though he is extremely childish at the beginning of the novel. He's basically a Junior in high school at the start so it's easier for me to give him a pass, not the least because he starts growing out of it with more life experience.

Spoiler

it bothers me he drops out of school before his last year of high school though

[collapse]

lots of grinding and OP action scenes with the spamming of huge AOE spells. He's not as clever as i'd prefer but he's not a complete idiot either and he does learn from his mistakes. So far there is absolutely zero romance which is fine by me; I prefer this to the novels where the MC takes time out to go bang everything with t*ts and wallow in his own importance for chapter after chapter instead of getting on with the story line and plot.

we aren't spammed with stat pages twice a chapter for word count and while the MC might annoy people sometimes, he's certainly not blandly boring. This novel isn't in my top favorites but it's better than many. I'm just glad its not another stallion novel. <<less

The stats are weird, in the beginning, he talked about how raising int affects mana but then when he opens the status window they don't have it. Then stamina appears out of nowhere even though it was called vitality before. Then there are the dungeons, instead of a variety of monsters there's only a set type of monster for each level and you can just know what level the dungeon is based on the monster type which is weird.

The fact that an exit appears automatically after an hour is also... more>> weird, why would the dungeon willingly do that? It'd make more sense if the person themselves had to backtrack all the way to the entrance or beat the boss to leave, but nope the dungeon automatically spits them out. The novel is not that bad, but it's quite frustrating honestly.

EDIT: Decided to give it another go, and honestly it was quite an experience, after forgetting everything about the series, I decided to re-read it from the start. So I went in knowing nothing and left knowing even less. Honestly, I've read many tr*sh series before but this one... this one is headache-inducing. Maybe it gets better, I don't know nor do I care, honestly wouldn't recommend anyone else to waste their time with this series. <<less

The story is hard to follow because things keep changing from one chapter to the next.

One chapter the MC adds his stats to strength and the next chapter they are in vitality.

Vitality changed to Stamina.

... more>> The MC is getting bullied in school because the bully is an awakened then the author explains how if an awakened cause trouble in school they get far greater punishment then normal people.

It would be an enjoyable read if these changes didn't keep popping up breaking immersion and I personally find it very frustrating when facts jump around like this. <<less

Before you read, you guys must understand that the author is Korean and probably his intended readers were Korean... while maybe in your place it's a dog-eats-dog world or "a tooth for a tooth" scenario is common, life in Korea is mundane. If you so much get into a fight with someone, it almost always ends up in the Police precinct and an estimated loss of money is expected and your public reputation is smeared... long story short, even if aggrieved, you don't suddenly punch someone in the face... because... more>> it's more of a loss and there's absolutely nothing to gain. So, in that place, as long as it's just minor physical injury, the victim usually ends up the happier one. But lets not delve deeper into that. I'm here to review this story.

The story is... I'm just at chapter 1 yet so I'll fill below with something maybe later... ciao! <<less

Your average korean dungeon novel. Same plot line as all the other novels out there. Awaken op power get stronger than anyone else really fast fight against things outside of earth to get rid of dungeons.

The problem is MCs infinite mana gimic makes Him way too strong from the start so al fights are short and predictable. It also doesnt help that he has no personality or drive at all its even worse than MCs of similar novels. Also as soon as you start to question the Power System even... more>> a little bit it just falls apart.

Spoiler

even gods power reduces whenever they use spells and MC got their power from god so how can he have infinite mana?

Later on in the story he will go to "Hell" where you absorb all of the power of enemies you kill, killing one enemy as strong as you doubles your strength. But Somehow monsters are split into 10 ranks and all the "exp" goes to the person who last hit? So how come most people cant kill level 10 monsters when you just have to be gifted one last hit to be stronger than them? It makes no sense.

Good, though the "apocalypse" arc ends pretty soon as world hopping becomes a big part.

Though he may have 'infinite mana" (not really but novel explains it later) he is still up against bigger targets, ones where he realizes that earth is just a small dust ball.

Its not a perfect novel, but for a power grinding, fighting and decent plot its good. I listened to it with tts and that was fine.

Novel started decently. Was a fun read at first but got bored slowly. Everything became repetitive with no thrills, zero world building / char development.

Reading first 100 chapters was a breeze but after, it became a chore. Dropped novel at c175.

At the beginning of this story is quite exciting. MC is a high school boy who was originally a 'bread shuttle' and one day he becomes an awakened with a unique innate ability which is unlimited mana.

The first arc was quite exciting until entering the ending was quite disappointing for me. And entering the beginning of the second Arc with a similar storyline but different enemies and place makes me a little bored.

The beginning of the story.

Spoiler

MC comes from a poor family and he craves wealth so he can make his mother happy, That's why in the early days he became an awakened he struggled very hard to raise money (and level up).

Regarding the battle between the MC and his enemy, at the beginning he even slaughtered a guild that had +500 members, then one by one the leader and big boss of his first enemy appeared.

In my personal opinion their battles are quite short and not very impactful, even the MC vs Leader 1 battle is more exciting than MC vs Big Boss, which is where the Big Boss is one of the weakest chiefs of the demon race.

[collapse]

It's quite a shame...

Spoiler

The interaction between MC, Jong Ho and Karin the Goblin was more exciting than the "Tom & Jerry" game between their team vs the demons. I was quite disappointed that their battles mostly ended just like that and suddenly moved into a new arc where the MCs fought the gods with a fairly similar plot type as before.

[collapse]

The chapters still in the process of translating, so I don't know the real ending about the story. <<less

I'd say it's an excellent novel. But I'll state 2 major cons that I especially feel regretful. One is that the author never mention what's the name of the main character, you have to figure out their names through speeches over multiple chapters, this one I really can't accept because it's troubling me a lot. I read novels to enjoy the feeling of emotions fluctuating and suspense, not to think over things in the novel making it like mystery novels. Another one is that it lacks romance element, or maybe... more>> it blooms at later chapters that I haven't read yet. All in all, I would recommend this novel you enjoy EER, The Gamer and/or Solo Leveling. (Psst, tbh I still haven't made sure the exact name of the MC even after reading till chapter 37??) <<less

I'll start saying that I wanted to give two stars but pressed three by mistake (it doesn't let me change)

A cliché start and cliché happenings.

A male Marysue as one could expect from that title

The protagonist is high schooler with a serious chunnibyou problem an ego that is just a bit too high in a world made to make the protagonist look good.

There are a lot of novels with much preferable OP protagonists

But if you wanted something like that then it's ok
